My food is fresh every time. They forgot my side of hush puppies, but it was quickly remedied without argument, and with apologies. There is a bit of wait for a drive-thru, but I don't mind because like I said...always fresh food!

Probably the best LJS we have had in years. We had a rather large order for the whole family and they hit it out of the park. The team was getting slammed by the afternoon rush and they got us our food fast and fresh. Really great work.

Traveling through. Went to 2 dine-in restaurants first. Glad we settled on LJS. The food was fresh and hot. The lady in the drive thru was so sweet. I told her we were staying in a hotel. She made sure we had all our condiments and fresh food. 👍

Went in after several years , what complete turn around . Fresh , hot , fast food . Guest relations was well done they took care my needs while there . Definitely will be back the GM was very nice an stated she has worked hard turning things around . I believe that the team deserves big kudos for all of that .

I got the shrimp and fish combo it was delicious went through the drive thru. Everyone I dealt with was quick, very courteous and very efficient didn't have to wait. I do recommend you try them out especially if you like seafood

I love this location . The workers are all nice and they have a good manager. You may have to wait a few minutes for food but it's hot and fresh and I'd much rather it be that way when I eat somewhere! I've been during the day and at night.

Marcee h went above and beyond any and all expectations I've ever had for any business I've visited. He was extremely kind, helpful, and helped me far beyond any other employee from any store I have ever visited. He made sure my order was correct and was more than happy to talk me through the order to make sure it was correct. He brought joy to my day and showed me that this place of business makes sure that the customer is their priority. I can't begin to express my gratitude for his kindness and success in future business with this branch of long john silvers. Much more than I ever expected and blessed for having met such a person. Drove three hours from my home in Mississippi just to get it. Love this place and the food. I wish there were more around. There's plenty in Tennessee. But most of the ones around here and in Georgia, where I like to visit, have closed down. You just see a lot of Captain D's, which I don't like as much. Thanks for the good service. And the the great food.

LJS a rare find these days, but the food was fresh and tasted great! Be a little patient with their shorthanded staff if you're in a hurry...they cook when ordered. Dining in would be a better option if you have the time. It was nostalgic flavor! Shout out to the lunch crew from a Houston traveler!

Probably one of the best meals I've ever had from a Long John Silver's anywhere.... I got the two-piece fish meal and the fish was hot and crispy and delicious, the fries and hush puppies were the same. Everything was excellently seasoned and the staff and crew were very helpful and friendly..... it has been quite some time since I've been to a Long John Silver's but this visit was a refreshing experience. Absolutely incredible

The food was hot and delicious! The service from T, Bri and one other lady who we can’t remember her name (sorry) was over the top helpful, friendly and inviting! From the warm smile to the service they provided! Made us feel as if they were welcoming us into their home. Only down side I could find is the location needs a deep cleaning and painting/makeover

Wonderful experience. We have eaten here many times over the yrs. This was one of the best experiences my wife and I have had. Friendly staff. From the manager, to the cook in the back. They all went above and beyond for us. The food was prepared pretty fresh, and the hush puppies tasted like they were just out of the fryer. Really good food today. Excellent customer service. Stacy was so nice taking our order, she did a great job. We were thanked by all 3 employees, yes even the cook. They all told us to have a wonderful day, and God bless you. You don't hear that too often this day amd age, for fear of offending someone. Thank you.

Came to ljs in the past and food was bad and service was worse but when two days ago to give another chance and it has changed drastically food was fresh and service was awesome like totally different place clean great food and good prices for good size amount of food

Sure the food is greasy but that's the way the food here always is. Staff was friendly and restaurant was neat and clean. I had previously left a 1 star review years ago and filed a complaint, hadn't returned in 3 years. Huge change from previous visit. Was pleasantly surprised!

We had a #10 & a #12, excellent food, but the green beans were terrible, even tried to feed to my dog & she wouldn't eat them. Drinks were fine♡ All other sides were good! Love to eat here

I visited the store Monday and was very pleased with the Customer service things have Really changed Very Pleasant. I ordered a Family meal and was told to pull up it would be out shortly. Well I pull up and about 5 minutes later the manager I think her name was Marcie came to my car and explained that my order was delayed because it had to be cooked so it would be fresh. I thought that was very kind of her to let me know the reason for the delay. Also she was so friendly Nothing like I have experienced before at this s store.and the fish was Awesome

Food was what was expected. This location much better than the other 2 in the Jackson area. Much newer facility, not tired and run down. People working were basically worthless, cashier ran outside after taking customer ahead of me to take a phone call. Manager took forever to fill the gap, when order finally brought up missing a side dish and condiments were not what was ordered. Then took too long to get someone to correct. If LJS is what you want in Jackson this is the one to go to. Prefer Capt D's but service at Jackson location not much better. I will not be going back to either one.

LJS is usually good, regardless of which one you choose, service varies, from location, of course every thing is fried in mystery 🛢️ oil ! Still good stuff & YES extras do cost EXTRA !! Enjoy However Captain D's is a great little ⛵ seafood place!! 👉 Choices 👈

It wasn't busy at all when we visited as a stop-over during our road trip. The restaurant was generally clean, and staff was quick and communicative to serve us. The food came out correctly, tasted good and there are some good meal deals here. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by this Long John Silver's location.

Food was good but service not so much..they forgot my drink so we had to go back through the drive thru to get it asked for more malt vinegar and was told that we were already given some and would have to pay for more. We had ordered multiple dinners and yes was given only 3 packs of vinegar so we didn't get enough for everyone. At the end we got the drink and the vinegar but they should really teach their employees better customer service skills.

The taco trio was good, the staff was very friendly. If you follow me you know I rate a national/international conglomerate average. This was as one would expect from a national conglomerate chain restaurant. I would have likely given another star for friendly service but, the AC was set down very cold, with the dining room in the 60s in late summer. Seriously, who has a jacket in late summer. Drinking iced tea waiting for my food, I asked to have it put in a bag and went out to eat in the truck. It can be said without a doubt, the dining room was not warm and inviting; it was so cold I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Again, the food was not bad and the staff was friendly.

Perhaps the management should walk around in the day time hour to do some major inspection. Especially the windows and the floor. Just needs some T L C.

I only stopped for a drink. But it was good. Fast service. I've eaten at long john silvers lots of times though. 3 PC. Fish dinner is my go-to. But the only thing that I find odd about eating here is when you get a combo you still have to pay for your drink separate. Come on yall give your customers a drink with the combo...3 stars until that routine changes.

I don't think I'll ever go back to the location 1st off the lobby closes at 9 on a Saturday night 2nd I ordered $60 worth of food and the order was all messed up there was a piece of chicken missing out of all 4 meals I ordered I felt like they gave me double the amount of hush puppies in each meal and they was dryer than a Popeyes biscuit... I could only eat one without choking! I even pulled around and waited for my food so I was expecting it to be fresh since they asked me to pull around but it wasn't! The fries was cold and soggy 3 of my meals was simply 3 piece chicken and my 4th meal was chicken & fish with a extra piece of chicken all was short a piece of chicken and only got 1 piece of fish I tried to knock on the door but nobody would come back to it! So for that amount of money I felt like they could have done alot better I won't go back unfortunately you get better service and quality on Southside Jackson or even captain ds for that matter!

The food here is not bad but the service is extremely slow. I waited in the drive-through with only one car in front of me For what had to be at least 15 minutes. The food itself was hot and fresh and very tasty however if you do plan to visit I would recommend dining in or at the very least going inside for carry out. Would have rated higher if not for speed of service issues

Took a few minutes to order, waiting in drive thru. Once I ordered, went to window, paid and was asked to go to front door; food would be brought out when it was done. I waited 16 minutes for my meal. It was hot and correct but the amount of time was extreme.

My daughter and I each got the 2 piece fish meal, she got slaw and I got waffle fries. The employees were very polite and friendly, although the dining room could have used some attention. The fish was a little greasy but other than that the food was hot and really good, especially the hush puppies! Our Pepsi was almost flat but we had already left so didn't go back to replace them. All in all I would visit again!

Food was good, I went inside to order and it took a long time to get 2 pieces of fish, 2 hushpuppies, slaw, fries and a drink. The lady told me they were waiting on fresh fish to cook. When I got it, got to my vehicle just outside the restaurant door, I tasted the food and it was as if it wasn't freshly cooked. I wont be going back to that one.

I was upset.. I was in drive thru for about five minutes waiting on my food, the car in front was waiting on their order to be cooked because it was a big order, so when I received my food, it was warm but not freshly cooked. My fish and fries were just warm, not freshly cooked liked the car before me and it will be a while before I return!!!!!!😡😡😡

The individual taking my order over the speaker had an attitude. I get up to the window to pay and these folks are eating Domino's pizza. (Yes the boxes were sitting out on the countertop. I guess the lady was "hangry".) Do they not have a break room? it took about 10 minutes for my food to be handed to me, but it was fresh and hot... Just lose the attitude and hide behind something if you're going to eat while on the clock.

Food was okay but horribly understaffed. First day cashier. Frustrated cook who was rude to coworkers causing additional problems. Highly disappointed since this is the only Long John's near my home since the closing of the Memphis and Brownsville franchises.

This week we went was satisfactory but the prior week. We pulled up and upon getting greeted to LJS in the same beeath we were also told "No Tartar sauce, no ketcup, no hishpuppies " now can i take your order.. Wow a lot to take in. So i asked were they out out or just dont have any hishpuppies tempered yet. I wa Gen.Mgr for LJS before so wanted to lnow where we just holding or out? We were told holding for at least 20 min. So we left to go get ketchup and tartar sauce, to give them time to cook it. Got back placed our order and it was sad that we had waited patiently to get the food but then to get back order and our food was old. The chicken one of my planks wasnt 2 1/2 in long. And dry just so dry. My husband fish was dry as well but his shrimp were the only thing that was fresh and worth our wait. I love the food there but I am getting burnt more times than not, considering not eating out the rest of the summer. If i can't pack it than Ill wait till i get home. I did have photos of the food but broke my cell and had to get another and my photos would not back up.

There were 3 bugs/ants I guess in my cup when I got soda out the machine. They changed my cup but I was a little leery about it. The food was hot and fresh, but I didn't eat it. I picked over it after I saw the bugs. I went inside the establishment.

Ordered fish and chicken with extra hushpuppies and corn. Got all fish, no hushpuppies and corn. Wait time in drive thru was unreasonable. I don't think they even started my order until another car pulled in behind me. Staff seemed more interested in socializing than working.

Meh. We might be back..... but..... *SIGH* Unfortunately, it all tastes the SAME. Fish, shrimp, hush puppies, French fries..... *everything* that comes out of the deep fryer..... it just tastes the same. How often is the oil changed? Hmm. It took too long for a person to come out from behind the kitchen and take our order. We had to ask for condiments.....why...? Additionally, it took too long to get our order. Too long to get refills..... just took too long based on the fact that there are other restaurants that want - and demonstrate that they value - and need - our business. "Meh"

It's not worth the money for the portion size of the food. Plus the food was cold. The inside is dirty. I've been to all 3 of these restaurants in the Jackson area. None of them are any good. McDonald's serves better and more food for the money. The picture is a #12. $13.49 before taxes & $2.89 for a medium drink. That's 5 pieces of chicken with 2 orders of fries. No wonder they are all always empty.

DTOT was as friendly as can be. However, having a direct view of a dumpster while waiting to order your food is a little bothersome. Nevertheless, I ordered 2 fish and 1 chicken with slaw and hushpuppies for $9.10 That is not what was in the bag. Hindsight, I should've checked before getting back to the house. Slaw was great! Hushpuppies were a bit cold and the fish was quite greasy. Wouldn't recommend the Ranch Dressing packs either, too vinegary.

I went on Tuesday of this week and got stuck in the drive through for 20 minutes because of the vehicle in front of me and the 2 behind me and I couldn't go anywhere. Finally made it up to the speaker and was asked to wait. After approximately 3 more minutes I left. Thought I would try again today. Got right up to the speaker. Orderdd my foid, drove up to the window and paid then was asked to pull around j ns to the front and wait. 20 minutes later they brought my fish out. Of course I didn't check my bag until I back to work and no sides, only fish. I won't be going back.

Let me start by saying I love Long John Silvers, I believe it's the very best fish there is. Friday night I drive an hour to Jackson, TN, so my family and I could have Long John Silver fish for dinner. I do this every Friday night. Friday, March 9th was the worst experience I have ever had! The fish was extremely over cooked and just plain disgusting! I ordered the 16 piece family meal, $35 dollars, which is a bargain, under normal circumstances! My entire family was horrified at the food we received. When I called to express my displeasure, the manager instructed me to package all the food up and return it for a refund and she would let corporate office know. She seemed like she could care less about the situation. Like I am going to package it up and drive and hour to return it? Really? This is why Long John Silver is losing business! Nobody cares, there is no pride in their service, they just don't care and as much as I love the fish, we will not be returning...

Worse store ever!! I waited 32 minutes in the drive-thru had to go inside I couldn't wait any longer and the manager cussed me out like it was my fault I ordered grilled food and it held up his line. He was in the back on his cellphone when I got there and not even helping the front with the food. He is a disgrace for a manger!! Was a bald headed black man

My experience was AWFUL!!!!! On 5/3/2017 I placed my order at the drive thru. Two people were at the window, one was doing something to the cash register, a man reached around her (Rashad T.) took my money. Shortly handed me the food and I drove all the way home (10 miles) to realize they gave me the wrong order. This has happened there way too often. This time I drove all the way back and showed them the problem. It was just kind of a shrug and an "oh well" kind of attitude. This after the expense and time to me on more than one occasion, I said I would like a gift certificate or something for my trouble, Rashad just kind of laughed, like it was a joke. When he realized I wasn't kidding, he turned to another lady and and said she wants a gift certificate or something, I assume this lady was the manager, anyway she just kind of smirked and said "We can't do that", by this time yet another lady noticed what was happening and they all had a good laugh. Not ever an apology or anything. It was all such an "I don't care" or "too bad" attitude. I couldn't forget about it all day long and it still bothers me. Where is the management in these fast food restaurants, they are filthy and the staff for the most part are untrained and don't seem to care at all!! WE have walked out of some restaurants recently because they were so dirty, kitchen and food prep must be even worse. No pride left for sure! Don't go there.

Placed order, paid for order and was asked to pull around and wait. After about 3 or 4 minutes a worker comes out and tell me it will 15 min. I asked for a substitute about the same price. I was offered a more expensive item but had to pay.😂 I replied that I was the one being inconvenienced and shouldn't have to pay. I nicely asked for a full refund. Lost a LJS regular

We drove through and ordered a combo #2. After paying, we were asked to pull around front and park and they would bring the meal to our vehicle. It’s been over 10 minutes. Three other cars also waiting with us. No food, no employees and the front door is locked. SMH!

This place should not conduct any business. I went inside to order a food, and one employee was eating his food, but there was not a single person on a counter or kitchen who even thought of serving me. It was a ghost house. It was a terrible experience.

Most unprofessional place I've ever been to in my life, placed an online order for pickup stated I'd be there to pick up at 8:30 , store doesn't close until 9. Bought $40 worth of food, we arrive at 8:30 to get out food & the store is closed there's one guy in there working who refuses to speak to my husband because there closed. My husband drives around back to see a door propped open & he gets out knocks on door & yells at the guy that we have a order for pickup that we've done payed for he stated there wasn't anything he could do about it & that we need to cancel it ourselves even though my card had already been charged, stated to my husband if we didn't leave he was calling the cops, I called long John silvers on highland Ave to see about getting corporates number she asked if there was anything she could do for me I explained to her what had just happened she told me to come there & theyd have my order ready which was extremely nice because at this time it was 15 mins till close & she took on another order that she didn't have to due to the other location being so unprofessional. Long John silvers on highland will always get my busy for now on. This location will not. I spoke to the corporate manager & he really just kinda said that well when you do an online order it doesn't show your number or email for callback, he said that they there were suppose to call him to let them know they was closing early so he could turn off the online orders which they also didn't do. He claims he'll look into the issues happening at this place but I highly doubt it. Most unprofessional service I've ever received & I will not be back!! I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star but I have to in order to post.

I went through the drive thru on my way home from Jackson. My complete order came to $86. Dollars and some change. We ordered 2 family meals. When we got home, to Bethel Springs TN, I started fixing plates for kids and found out that we had not gotten the Cole slaw that we ordered with our 2 family meals. I called to talk to the manager and explained what happened she was very rude and said "so what do you want me to do about it", I said I live in Selmer so I can't just come back and pick up what your workers forgot to give me, so what are we going to do about it, manager said she would give me a #1 and hung up on me. Needless to say i will not be back there i will go to Captain Ds where they treat their customers with respect.

I was there at lunchtime 5/16/19. The side of green beans was the size of a condiment container. The fish coating was mainly grease. The sign in front said thick cut fish combo $5.99 but the girl at the counter said that was wrong and wouldn't include the drink. If I hadn't been pressed for time I would have gone elsewhere if only for this reason. How does this place with such a limited menu and low quality food stay in business?

We ordered a two piece chicken and fries. Well I ate some of my chicken and then I noticed it was raw inside. Then my wife checked hers and it was raw also. I spit mine out and my wife took it and the rest of our chicken back to the counter and they gave us a replacement. It was gross and nasty. My brother also ordered the same and his was done. Not sure what happened. But it was a very bad experience......

This is the worst place I've eaten at in 30 plus years. We have always patronize Long John Silver's whenever possible because they have always had good food friendly staff and you didn't get sick after eating it. However at this particular location the one in Dyersburg Tennessee is polar opposite. Honestly is a very poor representation of the Long John Silver's franchise. The oil from the fish was dripping off, the shrimp was barely cooked, the coleslaw taste like it set all day or maybe even longer and had a stale taste to it so it was an edible, the hush puppies has so much garlic in them let's just say that after eating one of them you wouldn't have to worry about vampires for an entire year. The fries were not the fries we were used to getting at Long John Silver's rather they were nothing more than microwave Ore-Ida fries that's what they tasted like they were mushy there was no crispitos about them at all and they were overcooked to say the least. Not to mention the handicap access is very difficult to maneuver even for someone on a cane I would hate to be somebody with a walker or wheelchair. And their bathroom is not handicap accessible. Plus the staff is excessively rude, they don't know what you're asking. When asked if their water was tap water or filtered the staff looked at my mother as if she had spoken a language never heard before, and finally about the third or fourth time she explained what filtered water meant they said no we just turn on the faucet and get it which anybody knows that is tap water. And the final straw that ruined our dinner there was the fact that the floors were so greasy you literally could see footprints in the grease oh, you had to be extremely careful as you walked on them to avoid slipping and falling as if they were mopped with dirty water then it just cleaned up some kind of oil and the table we had to wipe off ourselves no one would do it. So do I recommend this particular Long John Silver's not this side of never the only thing I recommend is at the health department or somebody shut it down.

Last two times i have been there the service was terrible, just tonight I ordered a 12 piece family meal with fries, Cole slaw, Onion Rings to go, I get home and the fries were old and stale, had no hush puppies, and the rings were awful. I called the store and the manager on duty told me that the next time i came in she would replace the whole thing, well this doesn't help me out right now. I will not go back to this store again. The food quality use to be real good, oh I may add it took them almost 30 minutes to get what I needed due to them breaking down a fryer.

Pulled up at the drive through a man standing outside smoking came on the speaker stated that they are not taking orders as the system was down. We drove around to the dining area and went in and they were talking orders.

If I could give less than one star I would. This is the best place to go if you're looking to waste money on food you didn't order, spend about a hour waiting in the lobby even when you ordered ahead online and still not leave with what you ordered.... But hey they will give you a watered down fountain drink to make up for it. I quit going here years ago because it got bad, had heard it was under new management and was back to the way it used to be but not even close. Maybe I'll try it again in another 8-10yrs... If it's still open cause at this rate I doubt it will be.

We came at 9:45 to go through the drive through (according to their website and the sign posted at the restaurant they're open until 10:00) and no one would come to take our order so we pulled up to the window and a bunch of girls were standing around inside on their phones. They would not look up or come to the window so we finally drove away. We will not be back. Don't waste your time coming here later in the evening. As we were pulling out, we saw cars behind us honking their horns but still no one would come to the window.

We generally like Long John silver's and went out of our way to go to this one that's around 10 minutes north of interstate 40 they didn't have anything in stock and we had four pieces of chicken left now it was nice that they told us what they didn't have. I told my wife we would have been better off giving our money to homeless person and not even eating there.

Worker bout ran into me trying to stop our family from going into the lobby EVEN THOUGH there were NOT any signs up indicating that the lobby is closed. We went through the drive through and the person on the headset was trying to rush our order like they had something better to do. Terrible customer service.

Employees weren't very friendly. They didn't take pride in how the restaurant looked or smelled. Trash on floor, no ketchup or condiments out for customers ti eat in. Fries cold. Very expensive. Disappointed

Only visited location three times since moving here 7yrs ago. I love the food- one of my frequently visited places in prior State I lived. This location has very rude staff. Absolutely no hospitality skills and seem to hate working. I know fast food is a fast paced strenuous job and I highly respect their employment. In saying that I see why their business never has cars lined up in the drive thru....the rude, unpleasant behavior. Smile & be happy to be employed!!! There are many who would love to have your job. Thanks.. No employee in particular. Just all visits are the same.

Horrible place. Drink machine did not work properly. Staff said that they TRIED to fix it (but didn’t). Customers were being charged $2.37 for a bad soda. Little mouthy staff member got irate when I asked for a drink refund. Small children with an attitude should not be working here. Dirty floors and tables are the norm here. Laughable experience overall :-). Never risking my health here again.

No napkins out. Asked for some and was given paper towels. No Tea. Flies all over. And fruit flies on slaw. Windows were dirty. Counter where napkins would have been was wet. Tables were dirty. Total of at least 5 employees in building. We were only customers in the store at the time. After they waited on us they were “lounging “ on counter

Rude employee (Iesha C) and dirty dining area. The condiment section had spilled malt vinegar and sauces that had literally turned to a gelatinous goo. Empty napkin holders, random ketchup containers littered around.. Basically the entire condiment area looked like something at a restaurant post season 3 of the Walking Dead.. Not even exaggerating!!! But food was decent. Older lady, Iesha, at the cash register was just plain rude. She got mad at me when I called her out on the price of our meal and she had added drinks without us asking for them. $5.50 for 2 drinks. Just very rude. She brought the elderly couple next to us their food, but I was sitting here with literally a broken arm and she hollered my food was ready and sit it on the counter. Then I realized she forgot to give me my slaw and she sat that on the counter for me to come fetch as well. Eye rolls with every encounter. Just a rude old lady. I won't be back.

We went to the drive thru, had to wait on the car ahead of us to get their order before they'd even take ours with more cars behind us. Got home with our order and half of it was missing. Tried repeatedly to call the place and never could get anyone to pick up the phone. We live an hour's drive north of Jackson, so going back isn't really an option. I'm not going to be any hurry to go back there.

I was craving 😩 Long John Silver 😋 and the food was awful 😖 ohhh the food was bland and greasy. I was very disappointed 😞 please come back to the old recipe please 🙏 😢 The atmosphere was great 👍 pleasant

Well I went inside to dine not even acknowledged at the front for 7 minutes. If there was a choice for zero stars they would receive it. This was on 9/6/24 at 6:20pm now I know why the restaurant was empty for a Friday prime dinner time. I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to captain D’s a lot better service. Don’t waste your time and hard earn money on this place.

They have terrible attitudes. I understand people go to things and still go to work. But they shouldn't take it out on customers, We got a fish we ordered 3 pieces of shrimp, we got 2. We requested tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. They handed us salt, pepper and malted vinegar. We asked for crumbs on the side. They gave us none just two shrimp and fish. Which is highly weird, Cause ever since I was 7 years old. I've always gotten crumbs at least with my fish, I'm poor, But I love long john silvers, Why does it feel like when you go to the restaurant? Their attitude is. You'll take what I give you not what you ordered.

Yuck! Keep going... this place is dirty, mold in the ceiling, the bathrooms didn't work, the service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. Never going back.
