Was so excited for this place to open in JC and even more excited to finally come by and check out what they had to offer ! The margarita was amazing — they give you a choice of tequilas you want and different flavors. Mango was a++++. Really wanted elote but didn’t want to to deal with corn in my teeth so we settled on the croquetas which was amazing and different. Had the chicken enchiladas as an entree and whewww. Usually I don’t finish my main because I’m already so full but this !! I finished the entire plate. The sweet plantains they had to offer were so different from what I’m used to as it was dressed with crema and cheese and goodness— the sweet and savoryness of it was such a pleasing experience. Would absolutely come back for a drink and date night!! SAMUEL! Samuel was so sweet and came back to check on us often. I hope you get him as your server if anyone decides to come by!

Let me tell you about my experience at Meximodo(which I found out later that its in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the largest selection of agave spirits!)It was my daughters 21st birthday, we drove all the way from Maryland to do brunch(she was performing later that evening at 54 Below) the food was exemplary, the drinks were to die for, the ambiance and everything about this place just oozed coolness with a bit of old-world Mexico. Afterwards, the waiters came around and sung "happy birthday" as we all shared her first alcoholic drink together! Our server, Xavier, was fantastic! Definitely recommend this spot and once you DO go, see him! Thank you all for making my daughters 21st birthday celebration extra special!!

We came here for brunch and had such a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and really well executed. The Huevos Rancheros were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, and the steak and eggs were cooked tender, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. The atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming, and service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to for brunch again. Highly recommend if you’re in Jersey City and looking for a great brunch option!

We had a great experience at Meximodo in Jersey City. The flavors were on point—especially the street-style corn and the pineapple jalapeño guacamole, which had the perfect balance of sweet and heat. Our main courses were also very good and overall everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out was the manager, who went above and beyond to help us when our car got stuck in the snow outside. That level of hospitality made the experience even better. We’d definitely love to come back again.

Had an amazing experience here! I tried their vegetarian dishes and everything was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and very satisfying. A big plus was the complimentary chips with a variety of salsas, each one different and tasty. Such a nice touch and really sets the tone for the meal. Definitely coming back!

Have you checked out Meximodo yet? It’s definitely one of the most buzzed-about spots in Jersey City right now! 🌮🍹 This vibrant Mexican casa offers bold, creatively crafted cuisine alongside legendary margaritas and an absolutely epic tequila program. In fact, Meximodo holds a Guinness World Record for the largest tequila and agave spirits selection in a bar-restaurant, with over 1,000+ bottles to explore — perfect for tequila lovers and cocktail fans alike. The atmosphere is lively and stylish, making it great for everything from date night to dinner with friends. They also serve brunch on weekends and have spaces available for private events, so it’s a pretty versatile place to put on your list. Whether you’re there for the tacos, the margaritas, or just to sip and soak up the vibe, Meximodo is worth a stop if you love Mexican food and drinks with personality! 🎉🌯🍸

The luxury of adulting is that all my friends work in different places, so we make it a point to meet once or twice a month. After the last place my friend chose, where we hated the food, we were definitely skeptical about him picking again. But this spot completely redeemed him. The food was amazing, the drinks were hitting, the music was a whole vibe, and the waitstaff was so professional. Catarina was an absolute gem, sweet, friendly, and made the experience even better 💕

The waitress Skyler was very sweet and welcoming. I enjoyed the vibe of this place it gave me positive energy. The service was great and the drinks were delicious. I’m not a big drinker but El padrino was very smooth. The food was great I really liked their flavors and incorporating spicy notes to the meals. Would recommend for those looking for an elevated Mexican dining experience.

Went here during my lunch break and was able to get in and out of the restaurant within an hour or so. So quick service. The ambiance is really nice with brick walls, colorful paintings, and cute decor. The ambiance is nice with plenty of lighting coming in during the day. The waiters kept filling up our cups with water which was really nice of them. In terms of the food, my teammates and I got tacos and flautas as well as the yuca fries. The main drawback to the tacos is you can’t choose 3 different types of tacos but the mushroom tacos and yuca fries were amazing. Also they provide popcorn with your meal which is sweet, salty and a little sour. Overall, a great treat. I would definitely recommend

Came here for brunch with my best friend. The atmosphere here is so beautiful, from the flower chandeliers to the Christmas decor. We sat at the bar and Angie was the bartender. We were presented with some popcorn. Angie was sweet and attentive even with a bar full of people. We went to order a basic margarita and Angie suggested we try one of their signature cocktails. First up we ordered Frida & Kahlo and Mi Amor. Frida &Kahlo had a nice peachy flavor and my amor had a mango puree. We asked her about a couple different plates and for brunch we ordered chilaquiles with steak and the barbacoa breakfast burrito. - it was amazing. We both took food home. For our second cocktail we switched up and tried El Presidente and Tamarindo. -the tamarindo was my favorite. Angie chatted with us and made the whole experience here so much better.

With a $150 credit through our Chase Sapphire Reserve, we decided to give Meximodo a shot to end 2025 and let me tell ya, we weren’t disappointment. Before the food review, shout out to our waitress, she was great. My water was filled the entire time, she checked on us plenty of times, and was awesome. On to the food. We ordered guacamole and as an appetizer and it was HUGE. Big enough for 3-4 people. My only gripe would be that it may have needed more salt if I was nitpicking. My wife ordered a burger (not pictured) and it was awesome. Double pattys, bacon was crispy and the fries were delicious. My steak and cheese tacos hit the spot. The corn tortillas were great, and the steak had a ton of flavor. Overall really nice spot and really not that expensive. I look forward to going back and trying some of their margs next time which also looked really good at tables nearby.

This was my first time visiting this place with friends, and I genuinely enjoyed the food. I have tried many Mexican restaurants, but this one stands out because of how the food is presented and the overall vibe. Even though it is located in the city, it felt like a premium Mexican restaurant with high ceilings and a great atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to celebrate any occasion. I was a bit disappointed that a couple of desserts I wanted to try were not available. That said, the watermelon and shrimp combination was something I tried for the first time, and it was surprisingly excellent. The extra-spicy French fries were hands down the best fries I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be coming back.

We had an excellent experience at Meximodo. Amilia provided attentive service throughout our visit. We ordered fresh guacamole, zucchini carpaccio, street-style corn, Mexi fries, Maitake tacos, and a virgin tamarind drink. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and true to Mexican flavors. The ambience was exceptional—lively, clean, and very inviting. It’s a fantastic place for vegetarians, with plenty of options and absolutely no unpleasant food smell at all. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy quality Mexican food in a great setting.

Just had brunch there during the snow storm in Dec 2025. X'mas decorations were so amazing and due to the weather it was so quiet so we could take in the decor. Food was tasty too...huevos rancheros, barbacoa tacos, and flan de cafe were all tasty and decent portions! Hope to have a girls night here one day.

Wanted to try this for a while since I saw them building it out so was happy to come for brunch today. Glad we made reservations even for a noon mealtime. Hostess was a bit unfriendly so wasn’t sure what to expect but we got seated and were very happy with Wilson our server. He was great, ran through recommendations, made note of all our special requests and took care of us throughout the meal. Place was beautifully decorated particularly for the holiday season. Even had a Santa and Grinch roaming about. Loved the fresh spiced popcorn with our drinks which were on point. Onto the food. We had a lot to share, apps were all great, I personally would have liked a spicier Guacamole (it had onions, pineapple and habanero) which was well balanced and tasted great, I just like more heat. The street-style corn dish was great, cheese, cream and chipotle aioli were great for a creamy corn dish. The queso fundido was the star with the candies pumpkin seeds perfectly adding the right crunch to the cheesy goodness. Warm tortillas were perfect accompaniment. The maitake mushroom tacos were a welcome surprise as we weren’t sure what to expect. Great texture and flavor. Definitely will be back for these! The salad and bowl were great but honestly would have liked seasoned rice and the beans were a bit bland. The salad had a great crunch with the tortilla strips and the jicama and cheese were great together. Desserts were great although the churros were a bit oily. The dipping sauces were perfect though and the horchata ice cream was heavenly. Look forward to having that again. Overall, highly recommend for a great meal in a great atmosphere with great service.

A true gem arrived to Jersey City! We’ve visited Meximodo in Jersey City several times with colleagues since it opened in Fall 2025, and each experience has been wonderful. The drinks and food are delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, and the service is consistently polite and friendly. And what truly puts it all together is the gorgeous décor and thoughtful layout, which create a warm, elegant, and elevated ambiance that feels really awesome. Meximodo is a pleasure to be in and it makes you crave to linger a little longer. Highly recommended and we’ll certainly be back! Special thanks to Amanda for her excellent organization of our events.

Saw this shared by all the good influencers and I was influenced in a good way! I came with my boyfriend around 2:30 on a Saturday which meant we had the brunch menu. I ordered the mushroom enchiladas which were pretty good and tasted fresh like my Mexican abuelita made it. I also had the mescal passionfruit margarita which was good. My boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs (replaced the yucca fries for plantains) which he said was very good. Plantains were a bit dry compared to sweet plantains. We shared the mexi fries which were heavily seasoned, a little too salty , but still good.

This place is beautiful! You can tell it’s brand new. The space itself is uniquely laid out. They used really vibrant colors for the décor. There’s urban Mexican digital artwork on the walls, high ceilings, and plenty of seating options. There’s also a second floor overlooking the bar. The bar is massive, and they have a beautiful spirits display featuring a staircase on a track that lets the bartenders climb up to reach specific liquors—it reminded me of the library scene in Beauty and the Beast. It was my first time dining here, and I came for brunch with some girlfriends. The food… delicious! Seasoned fries and seasoned popcorn—super fun. The guacamole was tasty, and the queso fundido was a really nice surprise. If you love cheese and chorizo, order it. The tacos are a must-have! We had the Steak & Cheese and Barbacoa tacos. The meat was super tender and packed with flavor—both are delicious options you can’t go wrong with. Ohhh, and the drinks! Do yourself a favor and get a margarita. You can “build” your own and choose which tequila and flavor they use. I also tried El Presidente and La Catrina—both will definitely be ordered again. Their brunch cocktail menu deserves a more thorough exploration; I suspect all of their drinks are good. Eduardo was fantastic and super patient with us! I was the last to arrive from my party, but I was told the staff was kind and accommodated my friends with seating they felt comfortable in. If the quality of their food, service, and atmosphere holds up, this place will be around for a long time—especially in Jersey City. Meximodo, welcome to the neighborhood!

Our visit to Meximodo was excellent! The food was great, the service was super efficient, and the ambiance was phenomenal. The croquetas de elote was great, the shrimp tacos was also delicious. The queso fundido was a bit too cheesy for our liking. The Corn and Poblano Rigatoni was also great - rich, creamy, delicious! We also ordered a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu as well. The service was efficient, with the first dishes coming in within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend!

(2 adults, 1 teen & 3 month old) I took my husband there on a Thursday for his birthday, we had reservation, but had to wait a little. The place was amazing. We were seated up stairs, as you walk up the stairs you get an over view of downstairs the view was beautiful. Once we were seated at our table, our waiter came over he had such a positive energy, explained everything to us. Two waiters work up stairs and with the amount of tables and people, the waiters managed to bring everything out in a timely manner. For drinks we had Cocolada definitely recommend & a Mock tail Jamaica hibiscus, love it ! The food was incredible! I ordered the ribs. I’ve never had ribs like this before, they FELL OFF THE BONE! My husband had the hanger steak, he says the flavor was there but when he asked for medium it came out raw. My son had the cheese burger and says it was really good. I would also recommend street corn. Every Mexican place we go to I always order street corn and this by far was such a tasty dish ! One of my favorites. The only thing I would say, if you’re bringing food home check the bags, my delicious ribs were missing.

The shrimp tacos were the best. The steak was mid and the goat was inedible for me (tasted too strong, almost rotten). Guacamole was light and fresh. The chips were alright. Definitely had better. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice~

Very lively atmosphere. I went for Sunday brunch and so glad I made a reservation as it was packed. The food and cocktails were delicious. It did take about an hour for the food to come out but our waiter apologized several times. Definitely a fun place to celebrate your birthday as well.

We really enjoyed dining at Meximodo, especially the wide variety of vegetarian options, which were flavorful and well thought out. The Mexican cuisine was authentic and the overall experience was great. The only downside was parking—wish there was complimentary parking like they offer at their other location. Overall, still a place we’d happily visit again.

I’m Mexican, and I wanted to share my honest take. The tacos were alright at best, but they were very filling because they didn’t hold back on the meat. We tried the al pastor and the quesabirria tacos, and both were decent and definitely filling, just not anything special for me. We also ordered the queso fundido, and that was really good. I would absolutely recommend it. The standout for me was the Mexi smashburger. Honestly, it’s the best burger I’ve ever had. 10/10. I’d come back again for sure, but I probably wouldn’t get the tacos next time. I’d stick with other items on the menu, especially the queso fundido and the smashburger, which I would definitely order again.

It was our first time there. The cocktails were really good. For food we ordered the Quesabirria Tacos, Shrimp Tacos and Meximodo Guacamole. Really loved the Quesabirria Tacos, definitely recommend it! The atmosphere was pretty good too. We would love to see Nachos on the menu as well. Overall a very good vibe and experience. Our server Marcos was very friendly as well.

I stopped into this restaurant to get dinner. When I arrived I walked in and was greeted and sat at the bar. I was served by Milton and he was nice! I ordered some red wine and also the Pollo con mole. It took about 15 minutes. When it came it looked tasty and it was tasty. I liked the flavors. All in all a good experience!

Overall: Stylish spot with great drinks and atmosphere. Pros: • Beautiful, lively space with outdoor seating. • Huge tequila and mezcal selection; creative cocktails. • Friendly, attentive service- Kenya was really good and friendly🙂 Cons- > Food is okay okay and not worth the price for some items. > The person bringing out the food was in hurry looks like, he kept pushing plates around -not at all gentle ! Whoahhh .. where do I start ? I must say I am extremely disappointed with this place , I really expected a better experience, so here is how it went : Made reservations because I didn't know how busy they would be since it was a Saturday night . However we usually like to sit at the bar when we go out . When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and I must say she definitely needs training , not exactly the friendliest person . I explained that I'd like to sit at the bar , she said we still had to wait to be seated ( why ?) I never heard of a place that you need to be seated if you just going to stay at the bar . Once we were seated I asked the bartender Angie if she had a list / menu for tequila and agave since they are know to have the biggest variety, her answer to me was : what do you mean a menu ? So I had to explain and she actually went to ask someone else if there was a menu and then comes back and tells me to scan the QR code on the food menu . Once I chose my tequila she seemed to be a bit confused looking for it , asking other bartenders , so I showed her a picture of the bottle and her response was : yeah I know . ( didn't seem like it ) since she was asking others . So that wasn't a pleasant experience , BUT wait , it doesn't end there :( The menu : pretty much EVERYTHING on it is SPICY !!! I know it's a Mexican restaurant , however not everyone likes or can eat spicy food . Not to mention the menu is very poor and doesn't have a big variety . I asked for the steak and cheese tacos since it was the 1% option on the menu without a little hot pepper () , because I am allergic to spicy food . We also ordered the Baja Fish taco and a side of yucca fries . I had to repeat the order 3 times because Angie said the description on the menu is different from the description on her machine ( also with an attitude ). That makes no sense , the menu needs to be the same . The steak tacos and Baja taco's were served And there was no sign of the yucca fries , after 5 minutes I had to actually ask someone for it . The steak taco was so spicy I could only eat half of it ( remember , this was one of the few items on the menu without a little pepper next to it ) and yet was spicy . The fish on the fish taco and the yucca fries were definitely over fried , so not exactly very good . A gentleman named Marcos came to ask us if everything was ok and we explained our concerns to him with the poor information on the menu etc . He then said he was bringing us a shot of tequila which never happened . So much for customer service . They do have a huge variety of tequila that literally goes all the way up to the ceiling , however there's a ladder for bartenders to climb and it look extremely dangerous , specially if they will be going up and down while holding a bottle . The decor is absolutely stunning and definitely high end . However menu is basic and way too spicy . Hostess and bartender could definitely use a customer service class . Considering the fact my birthday is cinco de mayo I really wished this would become my favorite place , but I guess all I was left with was a wish . Sadly . VERY DISAPPOINTING :(
