Honestly one of the best pizza and Italian places in NYC. It's consistently delicious. Get the round pizza over the nonna style. The pasta arrabiata is sooo good. We're lucky to have it as a neighborhood fixture but the location probably doesn't attract too many New Yorkers from other neighborhoods - but it should! If you find yourself in Lower Manhattan this is a don't-miss spot.

When we lived in Battery Park City NYC over 6 years ago, this was one of our favorite restaurants that was several blocks from our place. We loved their dipping sauce for the fresh bread they serve before the entree. We would come here for special celebrations or when friends or family are visiting from out of town. We'd order a combination of pizza and pastas and eat family style. I wanted to buy the dip for the bread but they don't sell it. There is a kids playground nearby and it's just minutes away from the river view. I miss this place and haven't eaten here since I moved away from NYC! Update: Nov 2025, we came by with our parents and enjoyed the delicious food and amazing service. We had the burrata, steak, and barese pizza, which was a little spicy for my husband but not spicy for me. The steak was cooked nicely medium rare. Piedro our server made us feel so welcome and taken care of!

My friend and I were on a trip to NYC and wanted something close to the Jewish Heritage Museum. The food was so good. Make sure to get a side of crispy rosemary potatoes. We’re still talking about how amazing they were.

Steak was absolutely perfect – juicy and flavorful. Pasta was delicious and cooked to perfection. And the pizza… just like in Italy! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic taste and great service.

The outdoor seating was a perfect setting tonight. A nice breeze coming thru, you could hear music from battery park, it was a great start to the experience. Then our waiter was great. He gave us time with the menu, then answered our questions and offered recommendations. The hard rolls and tapenade were great while we waited for our food. The food was spot in to what I would imagine for a place like this. My daughter couldn't finish her ravioli while I struggled to finish the Fettuccine. My wife ordered the Calaprese pizza and was very satisfied. My wife had the Mezcal margarita, while I had the spicy margarita( their names escape me). They were both very good. This would be my only area of complaint, not enough to give a lower rating, it took a while for the cocktails to come out. We would have certainly each had a second, but those carried us thru the meal. All in all, it was very good, and we will stop back next time we are in the financial district.

Between the food and ambiance of the people who frequent the pizzabar, I couldn’t tell what I enjoyed more. Leaning towards the food because it comes in large portions and I wound up taking leftovers home. The service was also attentive and helpful, while I struggled with deciding what to get. Thinly cut fries on top of Chicken Parm had not crossed my mind until now. It’s been a few weeks and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious it was. Also got the beet salad which I devoured instantly. Pro tip: heat it up in the airfryer to get the ideal textural component all around.

Despite the location, the restaurant does not feel like a tourist trap. Food was very good - the ragu was meaty, tagliatelle was cooked well, the pizza was well made and well cooked. The bianca sauce was hearty with a great balance of cheese and mushroom flavours. Service was great too!

Really good pizza. Very solid crust. The cheese on the margherita was the perfect amount of browned and chewy. The salad either the carro and fennel was tasty. Great patio. the servers were all warm and friendly (even though we had a very vocal 2 year old). Will eat again

Absolutely loved it! It’s a hidden gem! My sister lives few blocks away and she wanted us to try this place and we loved it! The service was absolutely amazing and the food came out fresh and delicious! They have plenty of seating, beautiful bar area, one of the best pizza places in NYC!
