Amazing Mexican food. We started with the chips and salsa with queso. The creamy jalapeño dip that they bring with the chips is amazing! We ordered the tacos and enchilada combo and the rice bowl with beef. After ordering, I wished I had chosen chicken, but the beef was so tender and flavorful and was happy I ordered the beef! The taco was great as well. We had enough to take home half of the rice bowl and the enchilada, and they warmed up great the next day! The enchilada was amazing warmed up!.

the white dipping sauce that comes with chips is the most delicious I've ever tasted, chips is crunchy & not industrial. Service is well maintained, not too much, unlike other restaurants whose servers keep interrupting your meal & conversations to ask if everything's OK 🙄 Tacos & beans are delicious. Interior is cool & colorful. Price is cheap for downtown. There is a patio seating too.

Wow! That was my first impression when I walked into this vibrant, beautiful, colorful, dynamic, eclectic restaurant. It will wake up and engage your senses… sight, smell, taste, touch. “Touch” because each room has a different theme and a ton of textures, however, I’m sure they would appreciate us NOT touching. :-D One room has pictures of their customer’s dogs all over the wall and another has hubcaps all over the ceiling. I loved it. Since people come here for the food rather than the decor, here is my take on our meals… Hot chips, salsa, and a white dipping sauce were served while we waited for our meals. I don’t know what the white sauce was, but it was fantastic. I forgot to take pictures of the food to include with this review because when she put it in front of me, I dug right in! It tasted as good as it looked and smelled. When you’re in the mood for some Mexican food, stop by Chuy’s. There is ample seating both inside and outside of this restaurant, but if you choose to sit outside, it’s worth taking a moment to peek inside. I’m sure you will enjoy your visit no matter where you sit!

Had gone to Chuy's in another state a while ago and wanted to try it in Texas. Had a Steak Burrito and a Deluxe Chicken Enchilada, which were good but the steak was a bit chewy. Also had guacamole with the complimentary chips that were served with salsa fresca and creamy jalapeno; liked the chips and all the dippings but the guacamole portion was too big for just the two of us so we wish they had a half size. Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere was fun with lots of neat deco; remembered there was a connection about Elvis Presley. Good Tex-Mex here but there are so many competitors in Houston and it is hard to decide who we like best.

Nick (waiter) was very attentive and on point! Food was good but I've had better at Chuy's. I got the burrito but it didn't come with beans. Annnnd Chuys now only serve refried beans no churro beans (OMG😤). Patio vibe & weather was great but the host at the front door was frowning as if she didn't want to be at work. She didn't greet us. She was not inviting at all. The margaritas were cool.

Big plates of edible food. Some items are hit and miss as with most "Tex Mex" chains. Queso is a big fat no. Salsa and white chip dip are good. Taquito/Flautas are better than what you find in the frozen food section of the grocery store. Otherwise passable for quick dining. I would not go out of my way for this restaurant again, but in a pinch it is okay. Pricing is average for the quality. Definitely better places in the area.

One of the best places for Mexican food. I loved it. Service is really nice. The ambiance is good. We had something show in pictures I don't remember. We were really full by that dish. Chips were unlimited. Their salsa was too good. If I ever went to that place again that for that salsa only. That was really good. Overall experience is good.

Love the atmosphere and the staff. They made us feel right at home. The food was delish and the strawberry swirl margaritas was good but could've been stronger, lol. The food was okay, not something extraordinary neither bad. The guacamole didnt have any spice ( the 1st time i experienced this at a mexican restaurant) and had to ask for jalapeños for which we were charged extra.The service on the other hand was not good at all. The waiter was just not attending our table at all and had to call him to get his attention every single time. We waited for almost 20 mins after we were done with food because the waiter didn't come to our table.

Pleasant atmosphere but the quality of the beef used in the fajitas was really awful- choose other dishes. Staff are friendly and reasonably attentive.

You know it's really bad when you delete a bad review about a place to write another. This time it was worse. I walked in not being greeted by the hostess nor giving the menu. I noticed also she greeted all other patrons coming in! The bartenders could have been more attentive and one bartender I see regularly wasn't that friendly as well. I call to make a complaint and was put on hold the for 10 min then called back and the manager answered right away. The Manager defended the hostess, I been to Chuy's many times and the hostess is supposed to at least greet the customer and give them a menu. The bartender had to literally walk around the bar to go get a menu. Going forward pappasitos/ cadente will be the only tex mex place(s) I go to. I been going to Chuy's all my life but it's wrap for me there. Before I got up and the walked out hostess literally walked away to avoid saying thank you. It's literally all on camera!! Lol If you can't hold your staff accountable then I cant do business with y'all.

It's sad that customer service is hard to fine. The Chueys on Westheimer has been my go to place for years. Today, I sit at the bar and order my food. I don't eat all of it so I ask for the items to package to go. Now, everyone around me, Caucasian individuals that is, where getting thank you very much for coming and so forth, all I got was here you go....huh? Then when I was holding up my ticket with the cash to give to the woman bartender, she ignored me. Helped the person sitting next to me, helped the people behind me and then went over to talk with the hostess and the manager. Like huh? I was going to give a tip, but I put it back and beckoned for the manager to close me out and told him I was being ignored. We'll he saw the women bartender and gave it to her and she just grinned. When I made it known I was not being treated respectively, she laughed and thought it was funny...SMH. well, I guess I have to find me another Chueys because I did not do anything wrong but order my food, asked for the items to go and that was it. I was reading my book the whole time I was there....SMH

Today I was with my coworkers at River Oaks Country Club having a good time, but the waitress's service was a nightmare. I'm truly sorry that the quality here has dropped to the minimum! None of us, and now none of our friends at River Oaks Country Club. Note: In the end, they simply kicked us out of the place.
