I ate here when they first opened a few times but it had been a while since then. They have simplified their menu down to a BBQ sandwich with fries and a drink. The meat selection is chopped brisket, pulled pork or chicken. The 1 meat option is only $8. I went with the 2 meat option for $10 and tried the pulled pork and brisket. I also went with the spicy sauce option and it brought some very nice heat. The sandwich was great and left full. Staff is super friendly. For very little more than one would pay for a Big Mac value meal, you get a tasty BBQ sandwich, fries and a drink. I'll be back soon.

The couple that owns this place really take pride in their food and service. The BBQ is exemplary and on par with much higher prices at the big name restaurants. For $8 you get a beef, pork or chicken sandwich with fries and a drink. I feel like a robber the price is so reasonable. Put on your mask and go enjoy the food, you won’t be disappointed.

Fainmous BBQ is a total find! Tucked away, but so worth the trip. The menu’s simple, but man, that BBQ sandwich hits the spot. Awesome vibe, and the owner’s super cool. Definitely check it out if you’re craving some legit BBQ!

When I tell you this a true HIDDEN GEM!! That brisket sandwich is ridiculous and the PINEAPPLE TEA is addictive!! If you haven’t tried this place you need to and they cater!! Oh and the French fries are so good perfectly crispy and soft in the middle and perfectly seasoned

I was in the area and decided to give Fainmous a try after seeing the reviews about their lunch specials. I had the sandwich special, BBQ sandwich, fries, and a drink for about $8. Considering today's prices, the deal can't be beat. You can choose beef, pork, or chicken, and even upgrade to two meats for just $2 more (still a steal at $10). I tried their homemade pineapple tea, which was very tasty and refreshing, not too sweet. The sandwich itself was smoky and flavorful with a spicy kick from the sauce (they also offer a regular sauce option). Great value, great flavor definitely worth a visit.

This placed lived up to my expectations. Located in a small strip center off Washington Ave., this small business should be thriving. Owners (husband & wife team) were kind and personable. They explained the menu. The lunch menu has several meat options. The cheapest is an affordable and economical $8. I had the 1 meat option and chose chopped BBQ. The sandwich came with fries. I requested lean cut (less fat). The owner chopped the BBQ while I waited and was conscientious of my request. The fries were tasty and well cooked - not too crunchy and also not mushy. The sandwich was delicious. I did not opt for the pineapple tea, but my friend did and she enjoyed it. If I find another week day open at lunch time, I will definitely make my way out. Get out there and get some BBQ at Fainmous. I'm told they also have vegan options. THEY ALSO CATER - I'm hoping to find something I need catered.

Small family business offering a simple BBQ sandwich menu. Sandwiches come with fries and a drink. The prices are very affordable and the sandwich tastes great and the fries are well seasoned and crispy. The owners are very friendly and provide good service. The interior is simple with enough seating. Parking is a bit of an issue due to the lot being used by many other businesses.

It’s honestly frustrating coming here. Every other day they are closed. I try to support black owned businesses, but it’s really hard when they don’t even respect their customers times, There’s people traveling from all over Houston to enjoy your food, the least you can do is have ACTUAL operating hours. Your business will never be successful if you can’t even operate on the times that YOU set. Editing : because I just witnessed two other customers try to visit. Do not come here unless you are for sure they will be open.

I’ve tried to eat here three days in a row, but it seems like the owner doesn’t value their customers’ time. If you’re going to be closed, update your hours on Google Maps. Customers shouldn’t have to find out whether you’re open or not from a piece of paper taped to the window. We’re not living in the last century — time is valuable.

I’ve got to give a 1 star for now. I drove 25 minutes one way to try their food. The hours online said open from 11-9 today. I’m here and it’s 1:50pm and the lights are off and the door is locked. No one is inside. There is not a note or sign on the door and the phone number listed is disconnected. Maybe they’re out of business. If not, it just takes a few minutes to update your hours on google. At the very least have a working phone number. I saw this place on TikTok via a creator named Nakia and had planned to do my own review today. I’m not sure if I will be back or not. I’ve wasted my time, my gas and I’m still hungry. Update: While I was sitting here two guys drove up and pulled on the door too. So in less than 30 minutes that’s at least 3 people who wasted time and effort while trying to support this business on today.

I placed on online order with this restaurant and never received my order or refund. I received a call from a woman shortly after placing my order and she said that they couldn't fulfill my order because they had a catering event that evening and I guess whoever was supposed to turn off online ordering, didn't. She also told me to hold her accountable for getting my money back, which, I didn't ever receive back. So, this is my way of holding you accountable. This would have been my first time trying out this restaurant, but this type of service does not motivate me to actually try their food. UPDATE! Well, I never received a text message from you and after returning your call, leaving a voice mail and text message, still nothing! Great customer service!
