Food was great! He got the Salsa verde pork meal and salsa verde quesadillas for me .. We also had the chips and salsa appetizer. It was the bomb! I love a sweet margarita. This margarita wasn't it for me.. But the food atmosphere and service was awesome! I had been wanting to try here. Did it, done. Will def be back for the food.
Great spot to make your regular spot, especially for happy hour. Solid margaritas and drinks. Sometimes it is hard to get sat or get attention because the relatively small space can fill up quickly. If you get there at the right time then you should have a great experience and everything is very tasty.
Met with some friends here to do our Xmas get together. Great service and great Saturday happy Hour! Will be back!
Always a fun time at pistos! Hands down letty has been the best server I’ve had here in a while.
Pistolero's is always a solid happy hour spot for margaritas that aren't just ice and lime and tasty bites. I've been a few times and always had a good time.
I just celebrated my graduation party a couple of weeks ago here at Pistolero’s. We made a reservation for ~20 people on the patio with Lety, who was very helpful. Everything was set up when we arrived. Melany was our server and she was great! The food and drinks were delicious and came out to our tables quickly. We loved being able to choose from a variety of tasty dishes that were also affordable and decent portion sizes. We have returned since then and experienced the same quality service and amazing food. Highly recommend!
For those giving this place a somewhat “bad” review , y’all are crazy. This is now the 4th time I’ve been here in 2 weeks and I can’t get over how amazing this place is. Parking is tough on the streets so you’ll have to do valet parking but you just tip the guy once you leave it’s no big deal. The atmosphere is awesome , very rustic and feels cozy with the low lighting inside. Great patio outside with TVs and fans. Food here is actually pretty damn delicious. Come on Thursday’s for “burger basket Thursday” for only $6. Come on Monday’s for $3 margaritas all day long! Happy hour from 4-8pm every day with $4 margs and many more deals!! I’ve been looking for a regular place to come too after work and have some drinks and food and this is definitely the place to be! Staff at bar are very friendly and the people here are nice. Ps..... the margaritas here are full size 👀
Came late night on a Monday around 12 am, the bartender was super welcoming and gave us great recommendations, we also ordered the barbacoa nachos and they were to die for! The drinks, although being house drinks, were pretty strong. In total for 4 drinks, an order of nachos, and an order of chips and salsa, was only $34 not including tip, definitely will be coming back!
Staff is fantastic!!! Drinks even the Happy Hour drinks are phenomenal!!! We will be back Friday !
Make Danny the CEO of the greater metropolitan Pistoloeros industrial complex. Bro hooked us up so quick and got me all the random stuff we order that don’t make no sense, but he was Johnny on the spot with it, like he could read my highly disabled “brain”. Oh also good vibes too - whoever hired Danny and whoever set the playlist rules Danny for president just FYI no big deal I don’t make the rules 🤘
¡Taco Tuesday 🌮! One of favorite spots for 🌮 Taco Tuesday. All tacos on menu are $1, and there are delicious. Come here regularly and at times the tacos are a bit cold, but is understandable when you take into consideration how busy they are on Tuesday. TIP: If you have a small group of 4 or less is common practice to share a table with other patrons specially on Taco Tuesday. Don't be shy to asked if you can sit with another group instead of waiting a long time to get a table of your own. Also be kind, return the favor and share your table with others! WARNING: There is valet only parking here, so be prepared to tip or simply look for parking in the adjacent streets and walk up to the place.
Loved it!! Went there with some friends after an Astros game. Kitchen is open pretty late. We ordered the beef Fajita Nachos, Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers, the Spanish Ribs, and the Barbacoa Tacos!! All of it was awesome!! Huge selection of tequila as well. They even have Tequila flights. Will definitely be back again!!
Went here for taco Tuesday and I have to say I was impressed. Had beef fajita on corn and a strawberry margarita and both were very good. Customer service was also great.
Super cool spot. The vibe was great. We love de the patio. The drinks tasted right- I ordered a strawberry margarita that our waitress suggested and my husband got the michelada. He said it was good too. The nachos were loaded! Definitely good plate to share! Tacos were okay but my husband eats everything so he liked them a lot 👍🏻
Always a fun time here. Jason is the best bartender ever. Won't take no bull. The food is good and Happy hour is even better. Hard to find parking. Valet required. Love the atmosphere and the music. Always a spot we look forward to visiting when in Htown. Thanks, Jason!
we went 15 minutes after they opened on a saturday. there was only 1 other table seated. the server was extremely attentive and had good recommendations. I really liked the fried shrimp taco. the barbacoa was a little too salty for me. they’re fairly large, so 2 was super filling we’ll be back in the future!
Hadn't been here since they first opened. The first experience was underwhelming. I look at the menu online, ordered for pickup, and walk to restaurant. I had a few drinks sitting at the bar and the bartender was very professional and personable. My burger was beyond compare. Not what you would expect from a Mexican or Tex-Mex establishment. I took a Pic of my torta and sent it to my friends declaring this burger in our "TOP 3". The fries are hand cut and the ketchup is dolled up with traditional Mexican seasonings. Pistoleros hit the bullseye.
fun day in houston decided to come here randomly, and the BEST tacos i very had! they also have other vegan dish but this one wins it all, the seasoning!, best flavor, right one the spot the taste like beef, juicy and tasty. best mushroom taco i ever have plus the Margarita was also good
Thank you to TONY he was amazing and a great server. Make sure you ask for TONY!!! He made my first time here at Pistoleros worth it and really great will definitely come back thanks to Tony make sure you ask for him as he will not disappoint!!!
I usually am not off on Sunday but, I am this week. I decided to get out and try someplace new. I ended up at Pistolero's Bar on Westheimer. Great atmosphere, friendly service especially from my server Jasmine who gave me help with my choices, large drink selection and lots of Happy Hour Choices for any frugal visitor. I first had their Michelada with Modelo and off the Happy Hour menu I ordered the $6 Chicken Quesadila. The Michelada was very Flavorful and Tasty. I couldn't believe how big the Quesadilla was fully packed with delicious cheese & chicken. The side of guacamole n sour cream really made it 100% better. I also tried a Sangria which any wine drinker will enjoy. This was my first time here but, it won't be my last. I highly recommend it. Salud & Cheers Y'all!
This place is amazing. Our waitress Jes has been by far the best waitress that we have known. And my husband and I eat out a lot. Jes was super friendly. She brought out our food in a timely manner. Oh and the food was delicious. We had 2 orders of the fajita plate for 2. She made time to talk to us and recommended drinks. Very outgoing which is a major plus. We enjoyed our time there very much. The DJ was also super cool. He played all the right music. The atmosphere was great. And the place looked clean and inviting. Keep up the good work. This is a place to visit when you're in Houston. We are not locals from Houston but when we come to Houston we always stop and have drinks at Pistoleros. Always enjoy our time at this place.
You gotta try the pitcher of Mimosas!! Delicious and strong. We just came here to pass time. But we will definitely be back. 1 pitcher turned into 2. Lol! Order the nachos. Was pretty dam good to. We were here at like 12:15pm or so. Quick service. Nice and Friendly staff. All masked up. We will be back here. May be our new hotspot! That patio looks nice!!! Left at 2🤣🤣
I went here for taco tuesday and was not disappointed! They have a $1 taco deal on tuesday and they were delicious. 😋 I also got a couple LIT's to wash them down. They have a large patio area and the decorations inside were beautiful. I'll definitely be back here again for taco tuesday. 🌮
Good drinks and food. I personally really liked the chorizo taco. Flour tortillas are not that good IMO so it's be best to get corn. Nachos are delicious as well. Parking on the Tuesday I went was $10 valet so I wasn't so glad about that. I parked across the street. Overall still a good place with good tacos. Especially on taco Tuesday.
It was my first time at this place . It was wonderful . The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, elote 🌽 and tamales 🫔 my favorite 😍 oh and the spansh ribs to die for they have there own sauce jeez it was good . The drinks are the best for sure .... 🤩🤩😍😍 no complaints. I had shots and margaritas, omg the mango margarita with tajin and chamoy the best I say . The shots i also had espolon tequila 🤪 were great, and I recommend this place to everyone. The specials are perfectly priced for the hard-working person. They actually had a nice happy hour hours for the late workers to get to also enjoy those prices with no rush . Music was diverse, so that's always a plus . The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. It was a nice setup.
Stopped by for a quick bite while hanging with my best friend before dinner! Oh am I glad we did, bec I was not going to make it until then. It was Taco Tuesday, so I opted for one each of the fried and grilled fish tacos and they didn't disappoint! Light but filling and the flavor was on point! I also had a frozen margarita that really paired well with them. This was my first experience here but I know I'll visit again when in Houston! Definitely on my list of good eats now!
Good amount of food that's reasonably priced. Barbacoa taco was substantial and moist. Could have used a spicy kick. Carnitas/roast pork was slightly dry. Double corn tortillas held up well. Happy hour drinks are very well priced although limited in choice. Stuffed Jalapenos from HH menu are well worth it and had a good spicy kick. Service was fine, quite laid back.
I was not expecting the food here to be so good. The tortillas on the chips were crunchy and airy. Never had a soft chip from the heaps of deliciousness layered on them. I had 4 tacos and my favorite was the fried fish but they were all excellent. The flour tortillas tasted fresh and yummy as well. Loved the vibe of the place but they had a dj on a Wednesday night and it was super loud trying to eat. Otherwise the service and food were excellent. Can’t wait to try more. Cost for two entrees, loaded nachos and two specialty drinks was only $60. Super reasonable!
The drinks and the nachos!!!! This is a cool and trendy spot with an ample tequila bar. The food was good, the nachos absolutely the best hands down. We got the geound beef ones with all the trimmings. Jason the bartender was super cool and makes a pretty good bloody Mary Mix. We came for tacos but will be back for the nachos!
10 out of 10 !!!!food was great service ,was awesome, price was even better. No automatic gratutidy . Music was a vibe. Sit outside if you can.
Their taco Tuesday is fantastic! They offer a wide variety of tacos, but the fried shrimp taco and fajitas tacos were the best. The only downside was that their sauce wasn’t spicy enough for my taste. If they had jalapeño sauce, it would have been 10/10. The atmosphere is lively and nice. The only consideration is that if you plan to go for taco Tuesday, be prepared to wait in line for about 45 minutes if you go around 8 p.m. Their chorizo nachos are also one of the best in town.
Just enjoyed the Monday happy hour and were very impressed. Great sangrias, margaritas, and excellent nachos for openers. Chicken quesadillas, elote, and tacos for dinner. Everything was fresh, generous, and very tasty. We were there early (4:30) so service was excellent - patient with our questions, attentive but not intrusive. Best happy hour value anywhere!
This place is so FUN! I went on Taco Tuesday, so it was busy! But the service staff was exceptional, food was delicious and the bathrooms were clean! I sat outside on the patio because it was so busy, but the service didn't skip a beat. I loved this experience and will definitely visit this spot again!
Food was DELICIOUS! Service was great and server was nice and attentive. The happy hour is even on weekends and a good amount of time. Enjoyed a mango house margarita it was delicious. Had the beef, chicken, & Al pastor street tacos combo they were Great. Beans were delicious. Also had a regular beer battered fish taco, it was huge and also yummy! Just as expected and at really great prices. They also had music playing and it was a nice vibe. Even outdoor (even though Texas is hot)
My honey found this spot for us to try on a Taco Tuesday. Our first visit was a 45min or so wait time, we didn't really mind the wait. Once seated at our table service was fast and pleasant. The 1.50 Tacos were 🔥🔥🔥🔥and the Ritas....🤌🏾. Our second visit, we did not have a long wait time and again, once seated service was on point. This is our new Tuesday spot for our chill laidback casual date nights.
So from 12pm to 7pm margaritas are 4 bucks add flavor it’s 5 bucks really good taste very good appetizers are 7 bucks great price the food was excellent my wife and daughter got the burrito which is made with a spinach tortilla and it was stuff I got 4 tacos the Al pastor the slow roasted pork in green salsa the barbacoa which was divine and last but my favorite the mushroom taco Mann this is a creative taco it is a must try all tacos we’re on homemade corn tortillas the margaritas were very balanced and they didn’t use cheap liquor they do frozen or on the rocks the strawberry one tasted like a smoothie the watermelon was nice but the crowd favorite was the blood orange the dip trio was great you get the queso the green sauce the red sauce and guacamole the guacamole is freshly made and all so good the green sauce is nice and tangy the red sauce has a nice kick to it the queso just the right consistency and the chips were thick so when you dip they did not break lastly the star of the show was the lemonade I will say hands down better than chick fil a since we went in the afternoon we sat inside it was nice and cold they do have a patio with tons of ceilings fan very impressed by the restroom nice and clean just need a lil more lighting in the hall overall I would go out of my way to eat there again
I love me a place that has drinks on happy hour on a Sunday! Services was friendly and fast! They had a DJ there and music was awesome. Frozen house margarita tasted great. They also had another margarita which is only offered on the rocks with their own brand of tequila. It was also great! My husband liked the Michelada. I personally didn’t like it. It tasted too much like tomatoes. Taco plate was good. I would definitely not get the chicken taco one next time. It wasn’t bad. Just the other tacos were better. I had read parking was difficult but I didn’t have any issues getting a spot
Parking here is tough since the side lot is small and fills quickly. Valet option may be your easiest choice. We came on Taco Tuesday and did have to wait for a table but hostess was friendly and realistic in giving us estimated wait. Once at our table, the server was fantastic in taking drink orders and making sure we got settled in. We came on Taco Tuesday so everyone was excited to try a variety of tacos. We loved all of them! We mixed up getting a variety in corn and flour tortillas and enjoyed all we tried. Plus liked the margaritas! Looking forward to coming back again, maybe closer to 5:30p to beat the 6p rush!
If you’re a nacho fan, I recommend Pistolero’s! They have an amazing overall atmosphere. I ordered nachos, drinks, and watched the game on the patio. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by staff and instantly noticed the cool bar. The server was very attentive and kind. I appreciated her service. I also ordered street tacos. I recommend Pistolero’s to anyone looking for an easy night out in the town.
Pistolero’s is hands down one of the coolest spots in Houston! This place has serious style – think dark, edgy decor with a vibe that’s equal parts laid-back and electric. The tacos? Next-level. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the birria tacos are an absolute must. They’re juicy, packed with flavor, and totally addictive. As for the margaritas… Beautifully crafted and just strong enough to keep the night going. Add in their killer happy hour deals, and you’ve got yourself a go-to spot for any night of the week. Plus, the staff here know their stuff and keep the good vibes rolling. If you’re after bold flavors and a scene that’s effortlessly cool, Pistolero’s should be at the top of your list.
Pistolero's is a quirky little bar with amazing food. The location has it's own dedicated parking lot (something that can be a bit of a rarity for most restaurants in the area), an expansive covered outdoor patio with loads of seating and cozy lighting, and plenty of indoor seating as well. Service from the friendly staff was prompt, and the food was delicious. I got the Street Tacos, priced at the bargain price of $2.95 each or 5 for $13.95, in a mix of 2 Chicken 2 Beef and 1 Carnitas. While all were quite good, the Beef Tacos stood head and shoulders above the rest with a smoky flavor that dazzled my taste buds. Pistolero's might look a bit older on the outside, but the quality of food and service shines through. They make a variety of wonderful sauces in-house, so definitely be adventurous and try some out when you go!
This place has amazing food and happy hour, Joél the bar manager is the best! Definitely check this spot out

Great place to go on a Tuesday for the $1.50 tacos and happy hour! tacos were delicious! Portobello was surprisingly seasoned well and delicious for all my vegetarians out there and mushroom love…
I walked in one Sunday afternoon to have a cold drink. The service and the happy hour prices were top rated.

Tacos 5 out of 5 (fried shrimp the best. The grilled was like 3.5 out of 5, service nice & quick, drinks hitting good. DEFINITELY the best taco Tuesday I've had here
It was a pleasant atmosphere. Great music, good service and good food. I ordered beef nachos, my friend had the tacos, another person at the table had ground beef Queso dip. Everyone enjoyed their food. Overall everything was good. However, we were charged a gratuity and it was only 6 of us and I believe the standard is 8 or more. So maybe they have a weekend after hours rule regarding gratuity.
Flew in from LA and we were hungry. It was that in between time so looked for a Happy Hour place. Found Pistoleros and were quite satisfied. Being a Monday, there were $3.00 margaritas - and they did not taste watered down. Ordered two. Had nachos - guacamole was fresh and homemade. Chips were not greasy at all. Hubby had taco plate. The cumin fries side was not very "cuminy", but the tacos were really good, especially the portobello taco! Loved the decor and cool velvet paintings. Authentic.
If you’re in town going to Pistoleros is a must! I’m not going to lie every time I’ve gone to pistoleros I’ve gotten a little bit to lit! But let me tell you their margs are the bomb.com the food is okay I just feel like it’s over priced for mediocre Tex-mex food & you have to pay extra for everything! But I have created great memories at this place that I might not remember🥴 but the vibes, the bartenders are super cool it’s a fun time!
It’s a good place for Tacos and drinks. We went on taco Tuesday and had the $1.50 tacos. They all tasted good, but the sizes were tiny tacos. I had the Chardonnay and it was good too. Overall a good place with great service and hospitality. Nothing negative about this place, but there isn’t anything extraordinary to give a 5 star rating.
The fajitas for 2 were alright, everything came separately that we thought wouldn’t be enough but actually got full. The nachos were surprisingly good but not the Chile relleno that was super bland. We tried the watermelon, strawberry and mango margaritas and were decent not the best but worth the price, though the tres leches cake was grainy and too sweet, had to pass it down with some water. Overall good experience. Great Dj and server.
Ate there on a Saturday and the folllwing Wendnesday. Was not was good as a few years back, but still good. Barbacoa taco was still good. Rice and beans still good. Lemonade good. Queso was ok, but not best. It lacked a bit of savoriness. The chips could have been crispier. Charro beans are good.
Food was great! Drinks were great as well, however the bartender I had was a bald white man who was harassing me and my friends. Very weird, disrespectful, pushy and overall very degrading and unprofessional. He should be fired.
Saw a TikTok about this place and decided to check it out. Margarita flavors were multiple and $5 with your choice of tajin salt or sugar trimmings and they were actually delicious the appetizer selection was big however it wasn't very good I have tamales chicken quesadillas in stuffed jalapeno peppers I was full and couldn't even try to order an entree. Parking was scarce forcing me to pay $10 to valet park or park across the street for free😵
Nice and chill vibe. The music was good and the drinks were delicious. Been here a few times and enjoyed myself each time.
My friends had a Christmas sweater party last night and our server was so awesome. Even though it was busy for her she stayed on top of everything. I really appreciated her service.
I was having a great a time until my server accidentally knocked over my trio tray on me and salsa spilt all over me. But had an attitude when i didn’t accept some cards that was trying to offer and i said no and i asked her could she just take it off my tab but she still had an attitude. Not sure what her name was but she was older idk if she was having a bad night but I had every right to be upset or have an attitude. It sucked that she had a horrible attitude about something she did🤷🏽♀️
Came here with a friend during happy hour. It was a pretty day, so we sat outside and it was very nice! Our waitress was exceptional and knowledgeable about the menu. Unfortunately the house margaritas tasted like juice. My friend got a second margarita and a shot of Tequila which made the drink SO much better. The stuffed jalapeños and quesadillas were perfect. But the taqueria were not seasoned. I’d give this place another try, but with different menu items.
Got the taco plate, barbacoa is really good! Music was great, every bite I took, I was shaking ass. Gratuity is automatically added
Went on Taco Tuesday and had a great experience! The service was excellent, our server was friendly and attentive. Happy Hour runs Monday–Friday from 4–7 PM and Saturday/Sunday from 12–7 PM. I tried a house margarita topped with sangria and another with Grand Marnier both were delicious. For tacos, we sampled the steak, grilled blackened fish, green chile pork, grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, and al pastor. All were flavorful and nicely prepared. The jalapeño poppers and nachos were also solid choices. Overall, everything met expectations and the prices were very reasonable. Just keep in mind, the Happy Hour specials can add up quickly. We spent just over $70 for two adults, but we wanted to try a lot! It was worth it, I would do it again. Parking was a bit of a challenge since it’s a busy location. They do offer valet service; however, it was full during our visit, so you may need to park around corner.

Love their happy hour and the food. The chairs outside were a bit uncomfortable but overall it was a good time. Went on Tequila day which had a ton of specials. It's becoming my go to Mexican place…
We visited on Sunday a little after they opened. Our server was kind and very helpful. I had a beef fajita taco and a fried shrimp taco. Both were great. The elote was just okay.
Went on a Saturday night. Super friendly and attentive bar staff. Jason was awesome. Margaritas were great. Can't complain on the food. Good tex mex. Music playlist was good as well. Will return.
Nice place, but the street tacos were too small for my liking and I found the pastor flat out bad. I will need to try other things there, but I left Taco Tuesday disappointed.
It was okay. Nothing special the taco had no flavor the corn was very spicy the greeter and waitress were both nice. When I entered, I asked the valet guy how much valet was (it was my first time and I didn’t know there was no street parking but also the valet lot was empty as it was 4pm on a Monday) he said: “whatever you have $5, $10,$100” and I said I only have $1 where else can I park? And he said you need to park here there’s an atm inside (And kept my son’s car open standing next to it so I couldn’t leave if I wanted to.) the problem was, I didn’t have my debit card to get cash, I had literally just gotten off the phone with chase to send me another card bc mine was expired. I told him that and he was pretty rude. I said I would get him next time but after that whole experience I probably wouldn’t go back. I understand that that is how he makes his living and I would have been more than happy to go back the next day to give him more but I am probably not going to put that kind of effort forth when someone is rude.
Decent place to stop for a drink. $4 sangria can't complain. Great spot for walking distance pub crawling around. Definitely too low of a queso to chips ratio, you end up having to order another massive plate of chips just to get more queso for the chips you have. But the queso was good.
Love coming here for a few beverages with friends. However I’ve noticed that when it seems to get busy and the staff seems overrun the Manager doesn’t jump in and assist simply is occupied with his Rubix Cube. As someone who has managed in a retail environment it pains me to see a staff working hard and they not receive support during peak business rushes especially on a weekend evening when you know you will be busy. Love the food and drinks and services. Just wanted to mention this observation in hopes he changes his disposition towards his team role.
Went on Taco Tuesday. Tacos were delish but everything else was not the best. Chips and queso no bueno, canned cheese fs. Chips fried in old oil. Churros were more like donuts and trash.
Came in for taco Tuesday. The tacos are so good. You can’t beat $1.50 for tacos honestly. I was craving enchiladas, so I ordered fajita beef enchiladas. Honestly I was not satisfied with this dish, as it was unremarkable. I would come back solely for taco Tuesday and happy hour. The margaritas were good. I would suggest coming early, as this place gets pretty packed.
This is a place to come if you are looking for cheap drinks and food. They have a patio and indoor seating with tvs. The drinks aren't strong. I always order an extra shot. The food is okay...I lik…

Came to Pistolero's for their happy hour and it certainly is a neighborhood hit for a reason. Their happy hour deals are really unbeatable - $4 margs and under $2 tacos (the shrimp one is the best …
Waitress was absolutely amazing, but they had no mint for a mojito, shrimp we're over salted, I kept having to take pieces of beef fajita out of my mouth due to them being uneatable. Margarita's we're watered down. I'm sorry everyone, but Texas has so much to offer when it comes to Mexican food, and this Is Just NOT it! Oh..chips and all salsa, well THAT was AMAZING! So they have good chips and salsa's for the chips. And a wonderful waitress. But that's literally it. I'm definitely not coming back.
Great lay-out and nice environment, but the food was definitely not cutting it. Chicken taquitos and tamales were totally off and we couldn’t even finish them. Chicken quesadillas were fine but even one type of the fish taccos was unacceptable, the shrimp taccos were good. Also the chips in the “chips and salsa” order were too hard and tasted a little stale. It was also kind of interesting we had to pay for that as a separate order rather than a free appetizer. The cocktail we ordered was also super extra sweet. Servers were generally nice (with the expecion of one) and the outdoor seats were attractive, although the high chairs were very uncomfortable. All in all, I don’t think I will go back there and definitely not worth the price.
Went with a few friends since Reviews looked good. Service was attentive and good as well. Drinks were good. But wow the food was a total miss. Ordered nachos and it was layered with beans first and then guac and pico which made the chips mushy real fast. We ordered the torta which was absolutely nothing like a torta at all. It was a super sour burger, mushroom was inedible. The pickles tasted weird which made the burger meat sour. I had the egg with the top slice of bread by itself. The elotes per my wife was too cheesy. The happy hour drinks were a scant menu. Valet parking with tip what you want. I really wanted to like this place.
