Tip: If you prefer less sweetness, be aware that sugar levels may not be adjustable in all drinks. Consider pairing the mochi waffle with ice cream to enhance its flavor.

Wow! Went there for first time and I loved there ice-cream. Got to try the special flavor of the week. The melon 🍈 flavor 😋. Matcha mix & only matcha flavor. The ambiance was very beautiful & service was fast too. The girl at the counter was very helpful too. Located in China town, parking was not that much.
We had lunch at House of Bowls next door and decided to stop by Saigon Arts Matcha Cafe for dessert. So glad we did! The ube ice cream and Hokkaido cheese ice cream were super good, creamy, tasty, and not too sweet. My mother-in-law got the coffee with ice cream and loved it. The cone was light and crispy, it felt homemade. The cashier and server were really friendly and attentive. Overall just a great experience and perfect spot for dessert. We’ll definitely be back!
I had the matcha latte , one of the best I’ve ever had! It was smooth, creamy, and had the perfect balance of flavor. The café has such a calm and cozy vibe, with a really cute aesthetic. The staff was friendly, and everything felt super fresh and well-prepared. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
Has one of the best range matcha desserts I've had ever tried. Really great to sit down, eat or take to go. Prices are also very reasonable. Would recommend.
Nice and cozy place with friendly staff. I just wish they used a sturdier cup for the ice cream dessert. The current plastic one is too light and thin, and with all the toppings piled on top, it becomes unstable. It’s really easy to tip over if you’re not careful.
Saigon Macha Cafe is a top spot for matcha lovers and anyone looking for a quality cafe experience. Their premium matcha drinks are exceptional—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, with no bitterness. The matcha ice cream is a must-try—creamy, bold, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also loved their matcha tiramisu, which was fresh, flavorful, and indulgent without being too heavy. The cafe itself is beautifully designed, with a cozy yet modern atmosphere that’s perfect for working, catching up with friends, or simply unwinding. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, always offering great recommendations and ensuring you have an excellent experience. Whether you’re here for drinks, dessert, or both, Saigon Macha Cafe never disappoints. Highly recommend!
It's a great little café. With good drinks and desserts. The owner is very kind and welcoming 😊 Our Japanese language and social group host a monthly event there. Most of the time it's a good quiet café to come study and hangout.
the mochi donuts (regular and matcha) and vietnamese coffee were very good to me!
Love it. Staff friendly and polite. The food delicious (mochi waffles cheese stick) as the mix matcha ice cream and coconut coffee!!!!! Recommended. It is delicious and nice decoration to be with friends. Also they have board games! :) Looks like every month they change a little bit the furniture inside.
The best matcha spot in Houston! Their matcha ice cream is the perfecttt sweet treat, and not overly sweet while still having that yummy matcha flavor. I adore it! Their “saigon special” is so fun, delicious, andddd IG worthy. The store itself is nice and has tables set up in the back to do work quietly. If you want good ice cream in Chinatown, this is the spot.

I had samples of the ube and coconut ice creams and both were amazingly flavored. I ended up getting an iced matcha with a coconut ice cream float. I blended the matcha and ice cream together to make a lil milkshake and it was so yummy. My fiancé got the mochi waffles in the matcha and regular flavors, they had a good texture and the matcha was my favorite flavor. 💚 so sorry for the mostly eaten food pictures (it was too good to wait).
I stopped by Saigon Matcha Arts last week for a quick drink and ended up having one of the best customer service experiences ever—thanks to Quan! From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with the warmest smile and genuine enthusiasm that instantly brightened my day. I had a few questions about the menu since it was my first time there, and Quan patiently walked me through the different matcha options, even recommending a drink based on my taste preferences. He noticed I was on my laptop trying to study and offered to refill my water without me asking—small gesture, but it really showed how attentive he is to customers. What really impressed me was learning that Quan is also a full-time student maintaining straight A’s. You’d never know how busy he is from the way he carries himself—always positive, calm, and focused on making sure everyone has a great experience. Even when the café got busy, he never lost his smile or sense of professionalism. It’s rare to meet someone so hardworking and kind-hearted at such a young age. Quan truly represents the spirit of Saigon Matcha Arts—warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. I’ll definitely be back, not just for the delicious drinks, but because of people like Quan who make this place special.
Honestly one of the best places I’ve eaten at in a while. The food came out hot, everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were on point. The staff was super friendly especially quan and checked on us just enough without hovering. The vibe inside was chill and comfortable too. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a refreshing drink spot in Houston, @saigonartsmatchacafe is definitely worth checking out. The cafe has a modern, cozy vibe with aesthetic décor that makes it a great place to relax, catch up with friends, or snap a few Instagram-worthy photos. We ordered the Passion Fruit Pineapple Cold Brew Fruit Tea and the Mango Matcha Fruit Tea, and both were absolutely delicious. The Passion Fruit Pineapple Cold Brew was light, fruity, and perfectly balanced — not too sweet, with a bright tropical flavor that made it incredibly refreshing. The Mango Matcha Fruit Tea was just as impressive. The matcha flavor blended smoothly with the sweetness of the mango, creating a refreshing drink with a subtle earthy finish. It was vibrant, flavorful, and super satisfying. Overall, both drinks were fresh, well-balanced, Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!
Great place to get matchas of all sorts. Reminds me of matcha maiko cafe. They have parfaits, soft serve, matcha lattes, and desserts. I got the mango matcha which was very authentic and fresh. I recommend and would come back!
It’s a cute café and maybe you can go there once and try their cute little things. I got the cup that you see in my hand which was super cute looking but I wish it tasted good too. So that was a bit disappointing. The only thing that I could salvage from That $8 cup was a little bit of the Mayra ice cream and a bit of cornflakes that was in there. I am honestly not sure what the other ingredients were, but they were definitely an acquired taste which unfortunately didn’t match mine at all. I had to throw the rest of that cup away.
Matcha was great quality! Mochi waffle is good with the ice cream. Waffle itself might be too boring. So pair it with an icecream. Will be going back to try some other menus! Inside, there are some board games available to play. Employee was friendly and clean atmosphere.
Cute spot! I was a bit disappointed in the matcha tasting a bit too bitter or "muddy" for my liking. I would've loved a smoother taste especially on the ice cream.
The matcha ice cream is light, slightly sweet, and fragrant. However it is lacking the bitter taste which matcha should have. The ube flavor is sweet, and has a good hint of ube. Somehow there will be a pressure to finish the ice cream fast because of the limited seating at the front and at the back. If you get a seat, look at the walls which have beautiful art pieces displayed on them, while enjoying your dessert.
Matcha Latte float was yummy, but I will request little ice next time. It had too much ice. The black sesame matcha avocado was bland.

The ice cream is alright for me but my husband loves it. Also ordered a cup of latte, it’s my first time trying a matcha latte, kinda of wired taste for me. The mango fruit tea also tastes matcha, I feel okay but my mom finished the whole cup, maybe just not my cup of tea
I’ve been here before, but I’m not a fan of the fact that you can’t adjust the sugar level since everything is premade. Even though I wait for all the ice to melt, it’s still pretty sweet. Now, it tastes like sugar water with boba.

I used to really like this place. Every time I come, they NEVER have hokkaido cheese ready. I came in today, and the girl working said it'd take an hour to clean the machine and have it ready. Tell me why I came back in an hour, and now one of the other employees tells me it'll be ANOTHER HOUR. Even since the original owner sold the business, the quality has gone down. This is the only place in Houston Ive found that serves Hokkaido cheese ice cream. If there were any where else, I'd go there. And if im being honest... I think I just will not be coming back at all. New owners need to get a handle on their employees and get it together.
