This accountant is excellent! He has been doing my taxes for 3 years now and the process has been simple. My taxes, however, far from simple. I have to split my income between states and also I have my own side business so things can get complicated. My accountant is always available throughout the year to chat about ways that I can save.

UPDATE: After I posted this review, the company reached out to take accountability and offered to make things right. I appreciated the outreach and their willingness to try to improve going forward. While this year was frustrating, I’m open to giving them another shot since I did have a good experience last year. **Original review** Our experience with this firm has been hit or miss, depending on which associate we were assigned. Filing our 2023 taxes went smoothly, but 2024 was a different story. We started the process in late January, and it took five months to finalize our return. We hired an accountant to save time and ensure our taxes were filed accurately, but this firm didn’t deliver on either. While part of the delay was on us for submitting some forms late, the bigger issues were slow response times and repeated errors. There were stretches where weeks went by with no update, despite promises of turnaround by specific dates. Most of the communication ended up being us continually following up for updates. The return itself had multiple errors—some that we’d flagged the previous year that should have been easy to avoid with a comparison to last year’s filing. Others were basic issues, like incorrect names, addresses, or even filing for a state we didn’t live in. I often had to request the same corrections more than once, and it took weeks to get things resolved. I also asked a few clarifying questions to better understand if certain tax scenarios applied to us, but never received a clear answer. To be honest, I’m not confident our return is even entirely accurate, and I didn’t feel our associate had a good enough grasp of our situation to file correctly. We’ll be looking for a new accountant next year, ideally someone more responsive and detail-oriented.

Update: they reached out to me and refunded me for these services. Dimov Tax made a basic error with our taxes, resulting in my family going without approx. $10,000 for 6 months. I only caught this error because I double checked my tax return with AI. Turns out they forgot to include my 1098. While Dimov leadership (Kevin Mayer) acknowledged their incompetence, they refused to provide any sort of refund or financial compensation for their mistake. I strongly recommend avoiding Dimov tax.

Worked with Doni and wouldn't recommend. He shared a return with many errors without taking into consideration instructions sent previously, made currency errors, incorrect foreign income treatment, and incorrect classification of dividends. This was the most time I have spent with a tax accountant correcting their errors. He was also not knowledgeable about tax deductions like solar investments in consultation and advisory.

This was my first time working with Dimov Tax. They initially reached out to me and seemed very professional and organized. They quoted me $795 for one time payment and told me that I will receive 20 min consultation prior to filling after all the documents received by them (pls see attached screenshot of their email). Although I asked multiple times about the consultation after I sent them all the docs, they didn’t provide me the consultation as promised. I didn’t talk any single person so I am not even sure what they filled is really correct. During that time, I also received another invoice of $595. When I asked them, what that is about , they said “it was sent incorrectly”. They acted so unprofessional and unorganized. I am so disappointed with their service. I dont recommend them.

I used them back in 2022 for taxes and they were awesome. This past cycle? Absolute disaster. It took MONTHS to file with continuous churn and chaos. I got bounced around between 3 different people handling my case. The first guy up and left the company without handing over my case to anyone. Then they stuck me with someone temporarily who also is no longer with the company. They clearly scaled up way too fast without any proper systems or quality control. My returns were riddled with repeated mistakes - basic stuff they should have caught. Even after pointing them out they’d return a copy with the same mistakes again. Honestly, I would have spent less time and money just using TurboTax or something. I paid decent money for peace of mind, but instead I got to babysit incompetent people through my own tax return. Zero follow-up, zero follow-through. I was basically doing their job for them while paying them to screw it up. The whole experience was infuriating. Would not recommend unless you enjoy throwing money away and managing your own tax preparer.

They charged me $500 for the same thing HR&Block did for $99. and they didn't even end up filing my returns.... Scammers

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience with Dimov Tax was so disastrous I feel obligated to speak up. They claimed they filed extensions and returns that were never submitted. Later, other team members contradicted those claims and blamed me. It was like being in the twilight zone. When pressed, they asked me to sign IRS forms implying the government had “lost” filings — a cover for their own mistakes. I've since spent thousands with a new accountant correcting their errors. They offered no real S‑Corp guidance, filed under the wrong EIN, failed to pay me a salary, and then tried to deny any formal engagement — despite signed e-file authorizations. The firm runs like a chaotic sausage factory, prioritizing volume over quality. Trust your taxes to someone else.

Do not ever ever ever work with this team. (Also, I am 99.9% certain the 5 star reviews are fake bots to move up the search engine) This is my first google review in the past 10 years. They have managed to fail the simplest task of filing for LLC. I had an attorney I hired who had to correct their team and teach them what was wrong with the filing. They spent 6 months and I emailed them every week. No response. And I found out last week that the person who was barely responding left the company. So I was assigned to a new person. Also, don't bother calling their help number. They use third party system where someone who can barely speak english will answer your phone and you'll be just told to email them. I give -100 star.

Strongly recommend against. Extremely chaotic refuse to hop on a call despite paying premium. Spent whole year filing never having had a single human interaction all slow async emails. Got a new tax team for 80% of the cost that have already been significantly better. It was my first filing in the Us so I falsely thought this is just how things are done here and my tax team in Canada had “spoiled me”. Turns out this team is just simply bad as my new tax team operates very similarly to my Canada team.

I was charged $360 for a one hour consultation that ended up lasting 15 minutes and was promised that the balance would be used to review a tax form. That was in mid July…. I have emailed multiple times now asking for a follow up and received no response. I even tried calling last week and was promised that someone would be looking at my case and still haven’t heard back. Awful awful customer service, especially considering the amount paid up front…. Do not use these guys if you want prompt tax advice - they will take your consultation fee and then not reply to you….
