I think the steak I ordered was the best steak I've ever had! Mouthwatering & soo good. Cooked just right. Staff was very friendly drinks were tasty.

Great atmosphere and great people. Staff was very friendly and server was excellent! We had our 2 year old with us and they loved her. The food was cooked to perfection and steak melted in our mouths. Great experience. Definitely coming back.

Date night at Johnny Manhattans was nothing short of delightful! From the perfectly cooked steak to the expertly crafted cocktails and impeccable service, every detail made the experience amazing. We can't wait to return!

Johnny Manhattan’s is a great steakhouse for a group or date night. We had a large group and had various appetizers with my favorites being the burrata and shrimp cocktail. The meatballs were okay but nothing special. Their large filet mignon cooked to medium rare was a delicious steak—about what I had anticipated. Lastly, their Tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had. You must get this for dessert here. The pistachio cheesecake was also very good, but didn’t seem to have the same consistency as a typical cheesecake. Overall, great place to dine, and their service and atmosphere were top-notch.

Delicious environment and absolutely perfect meal. We started with bread and oil, salads, and filet mignon and porkchops. The steak was cooked to perfection at medium rare with a perfect sear. The waitress recommended one broiled and one breaded pork chop. Absolutely the way to do it. The strawberry and peach pear was very tasty, if a bit too sweet. Caesar salad was one of the best we've had.

First time there. The inside is beautiful, finished with local hand-carved wood. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed/casual. The wine selection is huge! Good assortment of craft beers on tap as well as bottled. Large bourbon and other liquor choices. And the specialty mixed drinks are delicious. The service was fast and attentive and the food delicious! They have indoor and outdoor seating (we were inside). The prices were a touch higher, but not ridiculous, especially given the quality of the food, etc. I recommend checking them out. I plan to go back to try the steak they're known for (we went Italian tonight)!

Atmosphere is really nice inside is so pretty. There was a note on the menu about being short staffed. We didn't notice our waitress was amazing. Food was really good.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Head straight for a steak order. I ordered the Prime rib, but nothing beats the steaks. The drinks are punch you in the face, strong.

Finally made it over to Johnny Manhattans after hearing about how great it is and it definitely lived up to the hype! The restaurant is just beautiful and their menu is extensive and consistently changing which is nice to keep the menu fresh. When we first sat down we weren't greeted by anyone for about 10 minutes, but our waiter Alan came over and explained to us what had happened to the point where it didn't even bother us anymore. He was absolutely fantastic and I wish there was an Alan at every restaurant I'd go to! The food and wine were both fantastic. If I could choose another meal I would have the same ravioli again. The pizza was also delicious with perfectly thin crust. Definitely can't wait to come here again!!

Called acouple weeks ago to reserve what I thought were a few more tables near the fireplace for our anniversary not realizing there was one table for two and requested if I could have it for our anniversary they said they would see what they could do low and behold we got the table which was just absolutely fabulous the food is second to none ,service is second to none ,and atmosphere, is amazing this is my new favorite restaurant hands down ..I drive about 40 Mi to enjoy what I know will be an amazing dinner.... always an exceptional evening at this restaurant ...I couldn't recommend it more..

Fantastic Steakhouse! Great selection of wine and spirits. The ambiance was perfect and the food was terrific. I took my meal at the bar which is what I prefer when I eat alone. Jen had the perfect amount of sass and conversation while being on top of the perfect service I received. Also had a nice conversation with Debbie. The entire experience made me feel very comfortable and at home. Highly recommend!

After thoughtful consideration, I chose JM for my husband’s 60th birthday celebration. Thanks WC Foodies for the suggestions and highly rated comments. I made reservations for the private and cozy booth area for our family of 6. Nancy was our server and she was outstanding. Everything was timed wonderfully, she was cheerful, made many suggestions, and anticipated our needs. She consulted with the chef to be certain our gluten-free daughter had a meal that met her dietary restrictions. Our group ordered prime rib, steak, walleye and shrimp dinners. Each plate was intentionally elegant and prepared to perfection. Thank you for making our evening special and memorable.

Love this place. Had a great meal. It can be a bit loud at times depending where you sit. But its definitely a solid restaurant

We wanted to have a drink at the bar. However they wanted to seat us immediately so they then put us in a back room…. Not happy!

Everything was just right. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Service, food, drinks & atmosphere were all top notch. It is definitely one of the most pricey restaurants we have visited, but that is a non issue for us & we will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for a lovely dinner experience.

A wonderful place to go! A+ service, food and atmosphere. We always enjoy coming here, whether it’s for a special occasion or just for a date night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is absolutely delicious and the service is always outstanding! Id rate this place 10 out of 10 stars if I could!

My wife and I ordered drinks and a pizza. We were enjoying are drinks and the atmosphere when the staff came out and said they messed up our pizza which would make us wait so they said the pizza was on the house. Never complained and they took action to make sure we stayed happy. Service doesn't get much better than that.

I chose outdoor seating as the weather was perfect for it. I enjoyed the comfort and style of the patio. The service is amazing. And with the one meal for dinner that I've had, the fish fry, the champagne battered cod, is made just how I like it. I look forward to returning to try another dinner maybe the salmon or ribs.

We took the family there last weekend, 7 of us in all and were treated like royalty. When I made the reservation, I told them we would like to sit in a quieter area if possible and Deb, I believe is who I talked to and she said she would give us that. When we got there, they took us to a private room and we were so thrilled. It was so relaxing and we had such a great time. We've been there before and the whole restaurant is absolutely gorgeous so knew what to expect in that area. We had two young ladies waiting on us, Lauren and another, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she recently moved here from Florida and they were both amazing, very attentive, professional and wonderful to converse with. We had decided to order their pizza ahead of time but ordered three hors d'oeuvres; we had the garlic bread, onion rings and bruschetta and all three were amazing. We all ordered drinks which were also just as good. I can't say enough about Johnny Manhattan's, we're always treated very well. Again our servers were a joy to work with.

All around this was a phenomenal experience. We love the atmosphere and the dinner was great. Hands down their steaks and pizzas are in the top 10 that I've ever had. I would highly recommend you make reservations because this place is very popular.

Just enjoyed a most lovely evening. Last minute reservations, but they accommodated us a large booth in the quiet back room. Daniel was hands down the best and most attentive server we've ever had here, and for the busiest night if the year, we didn't feel rushed in the slightest and our food was excellent! You guys out-did yourselves tonight, Happy New Year!

My wife and I took our best friends out for dinner last Friday night and it was all of our first time visit. Walking in the door I was taken by the beauty of the room, bar, decorations, woodwork, etc. The place is stunning. The atmosphere was perfect. The food, service, and ambience was superior. Might be the best restaurant in the state. My only point of contention was their contention that the breaded pork chops are "Wisconsin's best".....try the "planet's best"!!!

Beautiful place, but still felt comfy, I had the breaded pork chops, best ever, juicey but crispy on out side . I cold only eat 3/4 of one pork chop and you get 2, chefs vegetables were great. Potatoes was big enough for 2 easily. Salads were put together beautifully, every thing was fresh and delish!

Johnny's has gotten to be one of our regular go to places. They serve nothing but prime meat and seafood. I've had a lot of prime rib and most places are very inconsistent one time it's great and the next time it's just okay not at Johnny's they are my go to for prime rib Saturday it's always exelent. Rose loves their seafood and lamb. The filet is literally fork tender with wonderful flavor without any of the "peppercorn encrusted" or smothered in something BS just such a great piece of meat that stands for itself the same for the 24oz bone in prime ribeye great marbling full C cap and juicy flavor. We've been going there for a few years now typically stop at least several times a month and haven't had a bad experience. The worst thing I could say is that we have found several better fish frys so remarkably Johnny's is not our go to Friday fish fry it's ok but there are better

The building is beautiful service was adequate but the food was truly disappointing. We order the Spaghetti & Steakhouse “Prime” Meatballs, "Veal, Pork, Sirloin, Spaghetti, Marinara" and the Lasagna - Italian Cheeses, Tomato Sauce Ground Sirloin & Pork Sausage. The portions were large enough for 2 people each so no fault there. The meatballs were combination of meats but without seasoning or spices. The lasagna was huge and had a ground sirloin and pork and had very little cheese except on top and very little sauce. The picture shows a serving removed that my wife and I tried. She left most of it on her plate. In the end we chalked it up to bad luck. We didn't have drinks or dessert and it was $36 plus tip. I did tip the waitress she did her job. But she should have question why my wife had only taken one spoon full and left most of it on her plate. Some people are too uncomfortable to tell the waitress the food is bad. If the food was good that would have been a fair price with enough left over but not if it isn't taste. On the upside I didn't over eat. Maybe the ground Sirloin and pork mixture was just a bad batch. I regret not bringing it to the managers attention. My wife and I had a long hard day so i just think we weren't ready to discuss this, Based on the people dining on a wednesday evening the food generally must be good and it is a lovely place to dine. Update: Both managers contacted us to discuss what happened and listen carefully and encouraged us to try them again. We decided to returned for our anniversary to try there steaks. The steaks were 5 star 😋, hers was the petite fillet mignon and mine was a huge new york strip steaks not much on vegetable sides 🤔 and a bit pricey$$$. The 2 meals with tip and no drinks was about $110 with tip. They gave us a free desert for giving them a second chance/anniversary gift🙃. We have also tried the pizza another time, be aware as there name "Manhattan" implies the pizza is a super thin New York style 🍕.

It is my favorite restaurant. I brought my friends for their first experience. 8 of us. We live 45 minutes away. It was so disappointing that we couldn’t have separate checks and the cold explanation made it worse. The customer should be pleased and not have to worry about how “it bogs their system down.” It was the waitress and the manager who came to ask us how everything was. Our bill was over $400. You’d think they would care.

We Love Johnny Manhattans -it’s always been a special treat dining in a real supper club. The ambience is incredible -especially at Christmas. The decorations are sophisticated and downright stunning! Now celebrating it’s 25th year, Johnny’s is expanding -again! This will be out the west side /previous back parking lot . The additional space will allow for accommodating larger groups. A second parking lot has already been created just south of the main lot- across Hubertus road. The food is delicious! My only suggestion is that fresh basil should be used to garnish freely the Italian dishes they are known for! Reservations on open table in advance will secure dining area seating, but 1-2 can easily order from the bar seating(esp early -opens @4)

My overall experience was average at best. From the drinks to the dessert nothing really stood out. My wife and I have been going to supper clubs and steak houses for many years. We were looking for something out of the norm so we decided to try Johnny Manhattan’s. We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts which were quite good. The BLT chop salad that came out without the bacon. Not sure how they forgot the bacon when the B stands for bacon in BLT and the portion was on the small side. I ordered the $72 dollar prime ribeye, med rare. It came out more med - med well and the plate had no juices( pic attached). The steak was dry and salty. It actually resembled the steak I would get as a kid at ponderosa if we paid an additional $1. The baked potatoes were ok, the salad was ok. Overall the food was just average with average service. The price was not higher than expected but I expected more for the price. This is a place that I would not visit again.

Great place inside. This is where it ends. Went for Italian. Has spaghetti and meatballs... 25 dollars. Includes salad and a side of garlic bread.. Waitress was good. Not great. I wanted wedge salad instead of the house salad. Wedge salad was 14 dollars. And a side salad is 5. I asked the Waitress if there was just a upcharge or? No real answer. The wedge salad was very good. Then the spaghetti came out. Spaghetti was very aldente.. Very. Meatballs were average at best. Maranera was good just not enough. Waitress came by my water was empty. I should have said something, but the food probably wouldn't have been any better. So the bill comes. I'm charge the full 14 dollars for the salad. I ask why wouldn't there just be a 9 dollar up charge. She said... We don't do that. Well I guess I should have asked when she mumbled or just say on the menu no substitutions.. So I call to complain. The first person was rude. Saying no one really complains. I said since I took the spaghetti home. She should have offered the salad. I said the food wasn't worth 25 bux for spaghetti. He goes. Jeez now your going to complain about the food. I said not really but since you're being rude. He said I should have told the Waitress. I said the meatballs weren't that good no matter what. He goes what do you want me to do? I'm like your management... You tell me. I didn't want to go back and forth. I ended the conversation... 10 minutes later the general manager call asked what she could do. She claims she's going to send me a gift card we'll see.. Poor food and the first manager was horrible..

Steak was good. The scallop dish was overpriced for 3 scallops and pasta that tasted like under cooked cardboard. Didn’t really know how to make martinis. Not sure if I will be back.

This was our first time eating here and we arrived with out reservations. No surprise that they couldn’t seat us so we happily ate at the bar. Ordered $58 New York strip, rare+. It came medium rare/medium. Also, this may have been the chewiest “prime cut” I ever ate but it may have had something to do with being over done. If I had just been with my wife I might have said something but we were with another couple and I kept it quiet. The loaded baked potato which costs extra was below average. “Loaded” is a bit of a stretch. To top it off, I didn’t realize that they forgot our bread until the end of the meal. Bummer. Overall, disappointed by the food. Does not compare at all to a place like Eddie Martini’s. Night and day for food. Not everything was below average. We were happy with the service and I must say that the atmosphere was amazing. Will eat there again for atmosphere but will not waste my money on steak. I can get that cut of meat at Pick-n-Save….and overcook it myself.

Ok, the atmosphere was TOP NOTCH! Definitely a creators go to.. food presentation was beautiful but the taste .... NO... The bake potatoes were still hard, for the price you get a sprinkle of cheese, a pinch of bacon. However the steaks were grade A! The apps were great! We had several, they made us very excited for the main course but we were all so very disappointed. If you go, GO for the VIBE, Apps & Drinks. Stay away from the entrees.

Greeting and waitress was great. Waitress answered all the questions we had about menu, and was very outgoing. Overall menu selections was nice, specials sounded yummy but had made up my mine prior to give a steak a try. I ordered their most expensive steak, a ribeye, very disappointed. I admit I like my steaks mid-rare but mine came out rare, and for first time ever had to send back. And to add to this, a hand full, maybe, of uncut mushrooms were tossed on the plate. I’ve ordered plenty of steaks at upscale restaurants before and the temperature and presentation were stellar, worth the price. I have to say I would never pay the price of this steak ever again or revisit this establishment. Ruined the great vibe by not taking pride in the food seems a waste. I was fortunate that my wife entree was to her liking. Although the crab cake appetizer was luke warm at best, another disappointment. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this being our anniversary dinner. Overall, not worth the $$$$.

Experience was wonderful but my food was not good at all. My lamb was beyond overcooked. Like a pork chop someone forgot in the oven. My scallops, one side was seared the other wasn’t but still rubbery, the both of them. Best part of my meal as the onion soup. Was too embarrassed to say anything during dinner last night because our waitress was wonderful.

We love going to Johnny Manhattan's. Wonderful atmosphere, great service and excellent food. It is our special place. Last night was a huge disappointment. We had terrible service. Took 30 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. She was very nice, but super stressed. When ordering more sodas, we waited over 25 minutes and had to ask a second time. She brought us more soda and then seemed surprised 20 minutes later that more soda was waiting at the bar from when we had first ordered. She was very confused. We also were not given any steak knives. The chops, caesar salad, garlic bread and chops were excellent. The medium filet was pink in the center, but super hard and crunchy on the outside. The rosemary potatoes were cold with little seasoning other than bell pepper with no rosemary. You could not taste the onions in the onion straws, only the oil they were fried in. The lasagna looked and tasted like it was 2 days old heated up in the microwave. One side was very burnt, hard and was inedible. Under new policy, there is no option to upcharge from the house to the caesar salad. We had to pay for the caesar salad a la carte and then take the house salad we did not want home with us no matter what. Usually Johnny Manhattan's is pricey, but well worth it for the dining experience. We are now taking a break from Johnny Manhatten’s.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our dining experience was not good. First, we made reservations, when checking in, we were told we could not be seated at our reservation time because they were busy. If I reserved a table at 8pm, I should think it should be ready. We waited for 20-30 minutes. There wasn't any place to sit at the bar so we waited on one of the couches. When we could finally sit at our table, the waitress took our orders. She was prompt and courteous. When we got our dinners, my cousin got the rack of lamb and it was so salty that she just returned it and didn't want to get anything else. She tried my meal and didn't care for it. I got a pasta dish that supposed to be prime rib flattened and rolled with a cream cheese and herbs over pasta with a tomato sauce. Sounds good right? It wasn't. It was bread crumbs with seasoning. I've made spaghetti and meatballs better than that. Don't waste your time or money here. It's also overpriced. Go get good food at Jimmy's in Jackson. Outstanding food and service.

We debated on posting this. We are not ones to ever leave reviews. Went for a last minute dinner to Johnny Manhattan's last week. Service and food were great. The problem my wife and I saw was with the Manager, with short blonde hair, who I can only assume was by the way she treated other employees. She walked around in front of customers having a tantrum while embarrassing the servers. Eye rolls, head shaking, slamming down dishes, raising her voice. It was disturbing that she finds this behavior ok. Makes us wonder how she acts when customers aren't around to hear. Very unprofessional in our opinion. Will rethink this place as an option going forward. Like I said everything else was good - the food, our server the atmosphere.
