Everything I've had here taste great. My favorite are the menudo, asado, machaca, tostadas, oh the tamales de elote, even the horchata and cebada. This place never disappoints and best of all prices are reasonable.

Definitely the best Sinaloa style food I’ve ever been to in California. It comes as close as being in Mazatlan itself. Definitely my favorite restaurant in LA.

The food is delicious outstanding but for a man that eats like a real man. the portions are small and that’s the least satisfying feeling ..

MÉXICO 🇲🇽 Eat the World LA review: Cien percento Culichi. 100% Culichi, as in someone from Sinaloa's most populous city of Culiacán. The food here matches up perfectly, with delicious plates from the west coast state, mainly focusing on the meaty dishes found inland. Machaca and chilorio can be somewhat dull if done without heart, but any Sinaloan chef should prepare it the way it should be. Sinaloa is a coastal state and the seafood is also fantastic. We had a bit too much to eat already but could not resist this ceviche tostada, which seemed to be cooked with just caught shrimp. El Sinaloense is good for longtime lovers of Sinaloan cuisine or for those looking for an introduction. It always seems to be busy, especially on weekends from very early hours. We'll see you there!

First time here did not know what to expect from this restaurant. I order the chilaquiles and they were great. Will be visiting soon.

F

I been dining here last 12years usually to go orders 5min walk from my location. Authentic Sinaloa cuisine everything I have tried has been insanely delicious! Service has always been top-notch yes weekend's are very busy reason being the awesome delicious freshly prepared food. Today picking up my lunch I was so impressed watching them making fresh homemade sopes/gordita's on the grill nothing pre-made or from frozen. I highly recommend El Sinaloense definitely will take you back to Sinaloa and Abuela's cooking.

M

Their food is fresh and tasty. I tried the sopes of chicken and beef. Delicious. Sorry no photo. Lol Started to eat and forgot to take one. The presentation very nice. Its a small place but its worth it. Very nice cozy place.

There's plenty of places to eat around but almost none compare to this one. This place really feels like you're eating in Sinaloa. I almost always eat the tostadas de res. The drink to try is cebada and the horchata. The only bad thing I'd say about the place is that it is small, and sometimes there's a long wait. The place is accessible and it's not far from the freeways

Food was excellent! Got an enchilada plate with an order of tacos on the side ( comes in multiples of 2) and it was delicious. Staff was great although they could use a little help when dealing with rude costumers. All of these negative reviews need to check themselves. Treat people how you want to be treated and you won’t have a negative experience guaranteed!

M

Oh yes if you really love Mexican food here is the place to go to. I personally live it because not many people go there so you can often find a seat. But the food here is also very delicious. Not only that but the waitresses are always aware of the costumers needs

“I enjoy every plate I try here; flavors stay rich and exciting. I crave their warm stew, slow-cooked meat, crisp shells, sweet corn treat, and even their cool rice-and-grain drink. Each visit feels consistent, friendly, and easy on the wallet. A go-to spot for comforting, soulful meals.”

Great food, but some waitresses are kinda rude, not friendly. They always have a serious face. All in all food is what matters.

J
Jean Eisengard

Very cozy place with plenty of parking & very kind waitresses. They take cash & credit of course. Most importantly the food is delicious. I gave them 4 stars because it took a while for my food & bill since they get very busy (which is a good thing), I would've put 4.5 if I could.

A

The food is exquisite! The tostadas are too bomb, The price is reasonable, I would have gave it 5 stars but the staff attitude is ignorant and have an attitude for no reason. That's why i dont leave a tip

Good food, coffee was a bit too watered down for me. Prices are way more expensive it was $75 😳for 3 basic breakfast/lunch meals but then again everything is pricey nowadays. Ok service, blonde haired lady has a bit of an attitude.

First time I ate at this place, I ordered sopes it comes with 4-sopes and this very salty beef soup that was so hard to swallow. Sorry, but I will not return.

J
J S

Restaurant is really unorganized, they take forever to give you your food, parking is really limited and the place is very small. No one ever came up to our table to ask us if everything was okay or if we needed refills on the drinks. The cup size is bigger than most places and they don't overdue it with the ice. The food is okay. I give it 3 stars but on the low side of 3 stars

O
Omar Hernandez

I wouldn't really recommend this to people if they aren't ready for the prices. Me and my family were surprised at the end, for 4 sopes, 1 burrito, one plate or ribs, 3 horchatas, 2 tacos, and another plate of carne asada came out to 100 dollars. The potions weren't that much. Most of my sope was lettuce, the ribs were very small, and they barely gave out rice and beans as if it's going out of style. For the price and service I wouldn't really recommend it there are other places that do it better and cheaper.

W
William Pina

My recent go to spot for machaca burritos . The breakfast chilaquiles are not bad either . My only beef is the rice in the burrito last time I went was a bit undercooked . Other than that, bomb. Love the little red salsa they give . It's not hot and it's not weak either.

K
Kathleen Cortez

Food is good but the service is horrible. Cashiers are rude specially one of the cashier with grey hair was giving her my order and she rolled her eyes at me.

C
Christina Santana

I really like the food here but unfortunately the bad service is also consistent. Every time i go here or order for pick up, the servers are always rude. They dont let you sit on a table unless you have ordered first, which doesnt make sense. Also, they take forever to take your order on the phone and they have hung up on me a few times when ive called. This place would have a way better rating because of the food but their service sucks.

C
Catalina Velazquez

Haven't been in a while, but the menudo blanco is the best reason to visit. The wait is always too long. Last experience our food was salty and parking is also a hassle. Tried to get menudo for takeout, it was all gone. Dissapointed: (

A
Angie Valdez

The food is good but service not so much. I was a regular customer for years but lately even before the pandemic started there service was getting worse. One time My husband forgot his hat here so I called and the employee that answered siad "yes I found his hat i will leave it by the cashier so you can pick it up." Next morning I get there and the cashier tells me no one left a hat in the cashier area....

R
Rosemary Ruiz-flores

Food was good, but nothing to write home about. They could have added some extra flare to the plates. The plating of the food was plain. The serving size of each food item was skimpy. As if my personal trainer was breathing down the neck of the person serving my order... ugh!!!!!

J
Jacqueline Hernandez

After reading the reviews, we came here with an open mind. Mexican Food is NOT all the same. One must remember that there are many differences state by state. This state is known for their machaca and birria. They lose stars on order taking skills and the cook for not knowing the difference. The ladies taking the order need to NOT RUSH CUSTOMERS AND PAY ATTENTION. The cook needs to learn the difference between sunny side up, easy over, over medium, and hard. The place is a bit loud with the restaurant noise and televisions aside from the customer’s conversations. The decor is average and the layout is good considering is a small place.

Fredy “phantompaz143” Paz

This place has good food but the way to order food is awkward. First you get in line and order your food but don't pay for it. You get a number and the waitress brings your food once is ready. After she brings your food to the table, you don't see the waitress anymore. Nothing weird there right? Now that you finished your meal, you get up and go to the cashier and pay. Here is the weird part. The cashier tell you that they will charge a 4 percent for using your credit card, no problem. Then she says, this is not a tip only a service charge. Indirectly reminding you about tipping. This is when it gets weird. You haven't been served by a waitress the whole time you were there, should you leave a tip or not. I ended up leaving a tip but I thought it was undeserving. The food is good anyways but the tipping part is just awkward.

Came here for breakfast with my family. The staff was able to accommodate the 12 of us in 2 tables. We are from Sonora and Sinaloa, so it was great to finally see some familiar traditional dishes. Food was good, but the staff was plain rude. The waitresses were very unfriendly, and plain rude whenever we asked for something. The only nice one was the cashier with black hair. A big plus is that we were able to order while waiting for our table, so food didn't take that long to be served.

E

The service sucks bad... I think they should take ur orders when ur at ur table .... tables r really small... food is good that's the only good about this place

E

Food is great! Buuut the Seville restaurant has only one lady serving the food & she has a terrible attitude! And it literally takes 30-50 minutes for your food to be served!!!

C
Crystal Rocha Torres

Disorganized service. Food was just OK, the barbacoa was a little too salty for my taste. The cook took a break shortly after we arrived so there was a longer than usual wait for a dish, everyone else's plate at the table got cold while waiting for cook to return so everyone could get their food. The cebada drink was enjoyable. Staff was pretty friendly but with chaotic service. Overall, a little dissapointing.

I only give this place 2 start.. Food it's good the only thing here is how they service is not the greats.... I'm still waiting for the Manager to call me so he haven't call at all.I'm not going to this place anymore... This means they do care about customers at all. Sad because when I'm in vacation I like to go eat every day.... I guess my $ is not welcome in this Restaurant..... Thanks Chris that's the Manager Name....

R
Rolando Rosa

Place seemed to be nice and since was packed I figured it would be a nice place to eat. Just placing an order was a bit chaotic, got a number, the only empty table was stacked with dishes, waited 15 min I understand place was full, but to be seated on a table full of dirty dishes and not even getting a coffee?. Took off I don't think they noticed. Bussiness cares for money, but no for service.

N

The food is good but the waitresses and cashiers have a very bad attitude , the morning shift workers to be exact. Both times i ordered by phone, i went at due time and the cashier still ignored the fact that i was there to stop & go, and made me wait in line. Almost 10min. Disorganized. Not enough parking. Not enough space. Claustrophobic.

Service sucks I asked for a menudo and one chile Serrano that I have to paid extra 1:50 dls for one Serrano chile that everywhere it’s included with the menudo i found this charge ridiculous one chile Serrano over a dollar shows how customer service it’s not existing on this location Huntington park ca

Been here dozens of times food was amazing back then waitresses have never changed they have the same little attitude but food was really good. Now we have to deal with the waitresses attitudes and the food has changed. I’ve been here a couple times in the past maybe year we paid over $100. Food not too good we ordered Tamales and they tasted a little old and had a little smell like it was going bad already and we ordered the machaca and the machaca wasn’t cooked properly Gad huge chunks of machaca and vegetables like horrible. I’m Sinaloense so I know how that machaca should really looks nice and thin already cooked and served. My worse $100+ spent here. And it wasn’t busy so I was like maybe they were just lazy to cook my machaca right and cut the vegetables properly. Never going back! ;(

K

the service is the worst. they are suppose to let you know beforehand that there is a wait for you to sit down, I was sitting down saving a table for my family & a group of people came to try to remove me. the employee had the audacity to tell me to move & that’s not right. instead she should be the one removed from her job for having bad customer service.

v
vangelis “thamadgreek” Z

My friends came to visit and wanted to check this place out. It was the worst experience ever. First I was there with my friend from Spain who could not understand what they were speaking so I was confused, as well as they could not understand what I was ordering as no one spoke English, not even the people in line could help as for some reason no one speaks English. I was finally able to get them to order a burrito from me which came out cold in the center. I really don't understand why people sit outside waiting to eat here, nothing special. This is one of the major complications living in Huntington Park I have found.

M
Mark Vargas

It’s sad to have to do this because this was my favorite spot in my town. But the service is horrible the food was not good at all. If management can read this, seriously you need to staff new people and change that attitude. I recommend the one in paramount is a lot better than HP , better service and food is well prepared.

C
Catherine Alava

Ordered sopes de carne asada and the meat was burned. Not only that, but the meat tasted old. Also, I order a side of rice and it didn’t have any taste, as it was overcooked; mushed. If I could give this restaurant a ZERO star I would. Seville’s location has better quality food.

F
Frank Luna

Limited Parking... Menudo like Rubber... Nice waitresses... Very strange policy of ordering at the counter and then being Assigned a table, the waitresses should take your order at the table you choose. I won't be coming back. Everyone just speaks Spanish to you like you don't speak English... Lol!! Update+++ Got a Nasty response from the Management.... "That's how cow stomach is"... What a joke! I make it at home it comes out tender...you just have to cook it longer, that's all, don't be in such a hurry! Yes, Limited parking! Small lots in front and back! And calling Me Negligent, what an Ignorant person! Attention Management, check your other 1 star reviews, I wasn't the only one to complain about ordering and seating...all you need to do is turn up the heat and cook your Menudo like 4 hours longer and it Will be tender. If you say you Don't have time, then you don't have time to be an excellent restaurant...it's up to you. If I hear you improve the menudo I will change this review, and You need to change your Attitude Also!

J
JM

So imagine bei g hungry, and waiting in line. To then wait for a table to then wait 30 minutes for food after you already waited an hour to even sit. The place has horribke service waitresses with the Worst attitude. They do t speak english at all. I understand youre in a Mexican restaurant. But its 2019 theres plenty of people areound to teach you english have some shame. The food was low in quality (salty eggs, watered down beans, sour cheese) then they refused to remake a botched order..... um ok.... stay away honestly. Worst place in the city...

A
Alfonso Diaz

You have to b careful with this people there is no prices on the menu so what ever you order they hit you with a big #$ Jamaica drink $7 dollars I told the lady the is ilegal that they don’t prices in the menu and she got mad at me

A
Aron Yuh

Do not waste your money here. The business itself is not the problem, nor is the food. This location, however, is a sad representation of Sinaloa & its food. Out of the three waitresses there, the one with the grey hair has no reason to be so bitter. She's a salty human, disrespect, ignorant, just a nasty attitude. The people behind the counter speak to you like you are worthless and provide zero answers or information about the food you ask of. Their ordering system is very odd. You go inside and order at the register for it to be later delivered to your table? Weird. Two times we have gone there, first time food was fine for the 2/3 of us. This last time, we had tamales that were just gone bad. I ordered a carne asada which tasted awful and not very well cooked. My wife has chilaquiles verdes that were so nasty. We asked if we could order something else, and the grey hair waitress sort of told us that we were the problem thats how they normally taste.. Then, she brought us the second plate clearly annoyed and with no regard for customer care. Anyways, just save your money. Go anywhere else

E
Elizabeth Sanchez

Service should improve waitress has a nasty attitude, my husband took my plate back because it was not what I order, she's going to say no that's what she order 🫤, so this place is more like you eat what I want you to eat. Sucks it was our first time coming to this place. Not once came to check up on us, rice was old and brunt 😒

L
Lizbeth Rojo

Pésimo servicio de este restaurante. Los dueños en verdad ocupan nuevos empleados. We called an order in at 9:10 for 4 plates and got there at 9:40 and right away the cashier couldn’t find our order anywhere. When she called up her coworker that had “put in” our order she said she was sure she put it in the system but that it never went through.. with the most unpleasant attitude. Then proceeded to say they were closing soon so they couldn’t do anything about it and that they open up again the next morning. It’s very unprofessional and HORRIBLE customer service, specially coming from a restaurant. My family and I came from San Diego for their food and disappointed.

j
jbgordo1

Today I ordered enchiladas, my wife ordered beans, cheese, rice and avocado. The wait was 20 minutes, not too bad. But when I got home my enchiladas were cold (I live literally just a couple of blocks away) The cheese that my wife ordered had a funky smell. We ordered frijoles puercos but got regular instead. Food was good except for the cheese. I read the reviews before going and people complains are focused on the personnel. Sure enough, ladies that work there are rude, they talk to you like you're dumb. Cashier told me to wait outside for my food with a very bad attitude. Whenever I see rude employees I can't help but think that the manager or owner is doing a very bad job.

a
aige

came here twice already, and both terrible. the first time they took almost an hour to serve us our food and even gave us rude attitude every time we asked where our food was. second time the cashier didn’t have a clue what she was doing (which i’m not blaming her for since she was new but rather her supervisors for not helping her after 10 minutes of clearly seeing her struggle). unprofessional service all around. the only redeeming thing is the jamaica..

J
James Castillo

Terrible I went to go buy tamales and get them cold. I thought nothing of it but when I try them I find out there bad. Probably expired. I wonder what else they freeze just to reheat after months. Never buying from there again

S

Food was great. Be aware they charge you 4% for using credit card. I have never heard of a such a charge like that. Previous restaurant owner and they charge more than what the processing company charges. Total rip off.

J
Jose Morales

Ordered food to sit down and eat via phone call. Arrived and sat down, server did not ask if we wanted anything to drink, I asked for clarification as to what I ordered and the server was rude AF doing a lot of unnecessary and gestures as she explained. I ordered Sopes and when the food arrived I noticed that it has a weird taste to it. I initially thought it was one of the vegetable items. Shortly after my mother also had the sopes and noticed that they also tasted funny. We then realized the Meat was BAD/Rotten and it had a very strong odor. I brought it to the servers attention and she did not apologized, she simply took the food back and brought us another dish with different meat. I would not be returning here. Meat used in our dish was expired and customer service was horrible. Lady was a B****.

A
Alba Gutierrez

I ordered a few different things because it was my first time there (and my last). The tamales were preheated (the microwave is next to the cashier so you can see it) and they come out how you expect, very hard and not that great. The tostada for the ceviche was stale. Don't bother ordering different flavors for the flan, they all taste the same. We order other things but these were the ones I was most unsatisfied with. On a good note, the handmade tortilla was great. (That was the ONLY thing I liked).

Waitresses were rude don't even say hello, when we walked in everyone was just hanging out, laughing playing on tablet it was our 1st time there and they didn't even say we had to order at the counter , we had to stop one of the waitress that just walked past us. On top of that The food has no flavor and everything is separate. We ordered menudo and had to pay separately for the bread that's already included with the meal all bad I ordered an horchata Ive made horchata before so I know the milk was rotten I brought it to their attention but didn't care.

Fist time stopping at this restaurant and will be the last time. Waitresses were rude as soon as we sat on the table, We ordered 2 drinks and got the wrong ones. Waited for a long time to get our food and we’re. We got it it was already cold. PRICES IN THE MENU ARE NOT UPDATED!! I asked the waitress about it and she got very mad and defensive about the prices telling me she forgot to mention the prices on the menu have not been updated. She spoke to the owner and he told her to give us the menu prices. She was still so hateful saying she was not gonna discount $1 for the beans cause I didn’t ask about it. I never knew I was supposed to ask if the prices on the the card were the most updated ones or not. I have never had such bad service at a restaurant before and then when you try to talk to employees they make ugly faces at customers cause they don’t want to hear any complaints. I didn’t have a problem paying for whatever she wanted to charge me but the fact that she made it a huge ordeal about the price is what made me write this post. I will never ever go to this restaurant again and I’ll make sure I tell people I know about my experience there.

We waited 45 minutes for our food, the prices are too much for the little food they give you, the beef tostadas were plain and the meat tasted rotten. They serve you so little. We eat outside and the tables where dirty full of flies over others left overs. Ridiculous never again!! I asked for flour tortillas they give me corn, like come on
