My first visit here was fantastic. While it's a simple fast food style set up, the food quality was far from traditional fast food. My bowl was absolutely solid. I will for sure be going back!

The food was good but the customer service was horrible. They weren’t busy so that’s not an excuse. They cashier was not at all friendly or nice. The self service drink machine was out of ice, so we went back up to the counter to ask them to put ice in Our cups and apparently that ruined her day. She begrudgingly put about 5 cubes in each cup. I won’t be going back to this location.

The staff is super friendly and they keep the restaurant looking nice. I originally put 5 stars but i am changing it because of the food. All i ate for the whole day was their nachos. I noticed the chicken was cold but i didn’t make much of it. 5 hours after i ate them my stomach was hurting and 8hrs later i was throwing up. I been vomiting the past 12hrs and my stomach is in extreme pain. Since i ate that chicken.

We love this place and I just had the worst experience with takeout. Wrong burrito, No salsa, no sauce on the burrito, no salad (that I paid for…. And I asked for twice). Kinda Sucks to eat food completely dry that is meant to come with chipotle sauce on it and be dipped in salsa.

Hospital food is more tasty than this. Dryness and tasteless is not even enough to describe this. But its not their fault, its mine for wasting my time and money here. The reviews must be from people who dont season their food cus no way someone actually likes this rubbish. I’m so angry cus I’m pregnant and i spent almost $40 and EVERYTHING went to trash. Nothing hurts more than pregnancy hunger not being quenched. This was supposed to be my dinner and now I’m scrambling to find something else to eat before bed. Dissatisfied is not even enough to describe how i feel right now.

If I could leave a -10, I would I used to love El Pollo Loco now I know why they close some of their stores in Texas. Hurst has the worst possible service and food quality probably out of all El Pollo Loco. My chicken was so dry it broke my tooth. I ordered a Chicken bowl, rice beans, and chicken Repeated it three times and I get home and there's only dry rice and chicken No beans my two piece meal. I've had bad there before but this chicken was so dry and the rice was so dry I could not even eat it if I was management or QC at this restaurant , I would have district there in a heartbeat. I ordered the food told them it would be to go twice at the end. Of order Employee asks Is this gonna be to go or dine in?lol That was the first mistake the second mistake was me. I should've checked the order, but I didn't think it would be so difficult considering it was a bowl Chicken rice and beans that was it then let's go to my meal. I've had bad days at that particular location but I always go back because it's closest to my home but that chicken was so dry. I could not even eat it. My flour tortillas were half dried. Also, I usually don't do reviews but I had to this time First and foremost they had a ton of chicken that was on the grill and more chicken cooking but the ones that was cooked was so dried out It looks like they had been in the Texas heat so long that it had a sunburn! CHICKEN was burnt El Pollo Loco for the price they have to step up their game on top of it They gotta start being more correct on their orders. Every single time I go into the store I can repeat the order twice and have them read it back and they will still make a mistake. It's unreal to me, but this time was probably the worst experience I've had I used to go there three times a week. I probably won't go there after today , you're gonna charge me that kind of money and give me that quality of service and taste of food I don't want any part First and foremost as a manager I would not even put what I got today in anyone's box not even counting the salsa, I got four salsa and two of them had a chunk of tomato in there that took up the whole little cup And I needed all the juice I could get because that's how dry that chicken was I think i got most mad when I got home and found out that I got dry rice and overcooked chicken for the chicken bowl. I was so excited when you all came to Texas and I seen the stores were closed down because you didn't train your management good enough or bring them from California or wherever you got to bring them to handle tx stores I Personally don't know where they got a 4.1 because never Ever have I had this dried out big mistakes Unenjoyable meals. The bowl will not be eaten due to the mistake no beans when you're charging me the kind of money you charge I expect to be able to eat it and then to make Simple mistake on the second order on such a simple order that I gave them. and to have them repeat Repeat back to me is amazing I can't even believe either , yes I'm writing a book The QC has got to do better and pictures are worth 1000 words. Even the chicken bowl could not be eat from the burnt dried chicken breast with no beans by the way.

First time here, and it was very disappointing. Although young man at counter was very polite the food was not so good. I had chicken tostada let’s just say I should just went to Taco Casa next door. Had to pick out chicken was just too hard and the rice was very old and hard pieces tried mixing but I just had to throw away. Food is just not good.

So I have not been here at Pollo Loco in quite some time I decided to go there today for lunch and try again it is over priced the quantity you get is small portions. Came home after buying two Birria tacos five dollars each they give you sauce in this paper container you’ll see a picture below. The bottom fell out all over my carpet all over my table and the beans as well. The paper cups that they put the sauce in and your beans. Be careful that bottom will fall completely out on you. What a mess.

UPDATE: Don't go here and waste your money. Overpriced food and quality is poor. Tried them again today and sadly paid $27 for 2 salads and was charged for chips and guacamole that I never ordered. My double chicken avocado salad barely had pieces of avocado. It was a joke and will not be coming back. Poor service, poor quality food, and way overpriced! ------- Great food, but pricing is quite high. They recently increased prices but changed packaging to be smaller. I always get a salad and it is definitely a smaller portion now. Three of us to eat there was $40! We could have gone to a regular restaurant for that price. That was 2 salads, 1 order of nachos, and 1 iced tea. That was it and over $40. The food is good, but for the price and the portion size you may want to consider that when planning your trip to come eat here.
