I have inly ordered tortilla soup and some side items. The soup is delicious and their portions are huge! This is the best value and taste around. I have yet to try anything else but if its as generous as the soup and sides then you will not go away hungry. Tastes is great and very fresh. Highly recommend this place for service, friendliness and quality.

Great first experience! Jon was super nice, and delivered amazing customer service! I didn't know how the process worked or what to order and he walked me through it! Super nice associate! I got the Pollo bowl and added some sour cream and from their salsa bar put salsa and jalapeños! It was very filling. Mac and cheese was good too!

I love the citrus marinade on the chicken. It's cooked to perfection, flavorful and juicy. The sides are all done well and a good compliment to the chicken. The employees are friendly and go the extra mile to keep patrons happy. Highly recommended.

It seems this location recently hired a SPECTACULAR cook. This chicken is too good. To the person on the grill tonight thank you and God bless you. I even tried to call and talk to the manager the food was so good tonight. Wow.

I don't like to wear this place out! So every time I come back to it it's refreshing and new! It's a wonderful alternative to the typical fast food burger or taco restaurant. Every once in a while you should treat yourself to El Pollo Local!

This POLLO IS LOCO GOOD!!! You can taste the great quality chicken, and the flavor is exceptional 👌 😋 🙌 ✨️. The salsas are delicious. I've always said the cherry on top for mexican food is a great salsa. otherwise, it is just typical food. Now the rice was great. The beans were good but weren't as tasty. The mac and cheese was surprisingly good and the coleslaw also. I say it because these are typically Mexican sides. The staff and establishment were exceptional, very friendly, and clean. Pricing was a little up there but worth every penny....oh, before I forget, the other reason for the 4 star is because the tortillas aren't the best but not too bad. It's also lacking tru fresh natural aguas frescas.

I'm a fan of EPL but my last visit to the Hurst location I was especially impressed with an employee named Christine. She was very professional in taking our order. I also noticed that she stayed busy cleaning the dining room, only pausing to move back to the register to serve a new customer. Good job!

I've been obsessed with their Shrimp Mango Platters for a year. It's literally the only thing I get from there. With a side of Mashed Potatoes! The Shrimp is perfection and paired with the Mango it's a burst of flavor in your mouth. It's definitely a Summer favorite of mine!

Came in on Sunday night and the place was dead. Ordered my food online so I could pick up and just walk out. Had to end up waiting about 15 mins for my food, but the staff was very friendly and everything in my order was right. My chicken bowl was pretty good, chicken was cooked well and all the veggies tasted fresh. Quesadillas was good too. Their roja salsa was sorta bland imo and tasted super processed. The churros though were delicious, I’d probably come back for those alone. Overall good experience and I will come back and try some of their other stuff.

I showed up right before closing, so service was quick. Everyone was nice but eager to close up the store. My first time visiting, and the food is great. Wish I could taste everything on the menu. Only thing that kind of upset me was that I asked for corn tortillas and received flour instead. I love flour but my husband doesn't. I would recommend to all my friends.

Delicious perfect portions not too much not too little. They have a drive-thru which is very convenient. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because sometimes the employees don't listen when you ask them not to put cheese on the beans. Other than that the food is really good. The chicken is well-made, the tacos are prepared as if you are at a sit-down restaurant. The salsa is a bit runny, but it is still very tasty. We use this place very often.

If you are looking something that bridges the gap between fast food and sit down restaurant food quality this is your place. The chicken is always hot and fresh and they have a wide variety of options available. Several healthy options as well. I find at times that the staff could be friendlier..

The service is sometimes questionable but this chicken is good. The sides are also good, if the staff can remember how to put them together and give them to you. I mean, the staff aren't all bad, but they've screwed up my orders on several occasions. The charro beans and grilled chicken are damn good, though.

Pollo loco is here!??? I remember eating this in Mexico when I was small!!! Anyways, I got a salad bowl with chicken. It’s was pretty bleh for me. Nothing special. The chicken was drier than the Saharas. The red hot sauce was perfect. Will I be coming back here again? Probably not. But you won’t know until you try! Oh! DO NOT get horchata here. Waste of money.

First time coming here and it was ok. Not bad but definitely won't be craving it. I ordered the street taco combo - 2 tacos on corn tortilla, beans, and rice for a little over $5. It would make a good lunch alternative if you want a break from fast-food restaurants. The chicken was flavorful, the corn tortillas were cold, beans and rice were decent. It was close to closing time so maybe that played a role in the tortillas being cold. I just wasn't the biggest fan.

Yall didn't give a receipt, our kids drink or the salsa roja we order and I'm pretty sure you over charged us for something but I can't check because you didn't give me my receipt!!😡 The roja salsa is my favorite part and we were cheated.

The self service drink machine was out of ice, so we went back up to the counter to ask them to put ice in Our cups and apparently that ruined her day. She begrudgingly put about 5 cubes in each cup. The staff is super friendly and they keep the restaurant looking nice. I originally put 5 stars but i am changing it because of the food. All i ate for the whole day was their nachos. I noticed the chicken was cold but i didn’t make much of it. 5 hours after i ate them my stomach was hurting and 8hrs later i was throwing up. I been vomiting the past 12hrs and my stomach is in extreme pain. Since i ate that chicken.

The customer service was excellent. However, this location closed down the salsa and chips bar. That is upsetting. The salsa bar should remain as a staple and for a location to charge for something that should be given to you as a paying customer is crazy. Two stars for the staff members being great but the overpriced chips when they should not be charged towards you downgrades my review.

It’s simple… They can’t get an order right even a simple Salad not once but twice I went ordered a Salad only didn’t change anything about it, Repeatedly requested they not forget the dressing this time and sure enough AGAIN MO DRESSING! I will never return here!!! I called and the “manager” just apologized the exact same words he said the first time kinda seems like it’s repeated often.

So lets start with the best part of my visit on yesterday. The service was 4 stars for sure. The gentleman that took my order was friendly and accurately recalled my order back. I purchased two of the tostada (bowls) for my wife and I. I paid a little over $20. That said, the bowl was very basic. The chicken was not seasoned well and bowl could have benefited from additional ingredients (i.e chopped onions). While this wasn't the worse meal. I can assure you I will not be going back any time soon.

Went to this place late in the evening after a long trip. All I wanted was a good hot meal. Well that was not the case here. My chicken was dry and it looked like it was scraped of the grill. Since didn't eat the chicken I went for my churro, OMG also dry and pretty hard. Sorry Pollo Loco, y'all dropped the ball here.

The food is good. However, the attention to basic details is being missed in a big way. Customers have to say their order twice or more and then get up to the window only to find the order is still wrong. Employees could benefit from some training on active listening. It would improve the customer experience and likely save them time by avoiding repeat work. Honestly, a basic order, especially when the restaurant isn’t busy, should not be this difficult. I will be back, but I hope some changes are made.

Very disappointing. Ordered the 2 piece meal with breast and wing. That was the smallest chicken wing I've ever seen and the breast was dry and hard. Tortillas are kept in a steamer and obviously had been there a while as they were wet and firm. Charro beans sauce was leaking onto my mashed potatoes, yuck. Just a total lack of awareness. Won't be back.

I decided I wanted a salad on yesterday, February 24, 2024. I decided to go to El Pollo Loco. I have never eaten at this location before and I never will again. After eating the a double tostada bowl, I began feeling very sick. My body was weak, had a bad stomach ache and I was vomiting. I couldn't even stand up long I was laid out in my bathroom. This was the worst experience ever. I don't know what was wrong with that said but it was horrible and made me feel horrible. Never again will I eat at this place!

I do not like this location AT ALL! They skimp you on the food but charge those prices, which I don’t mind if I choose to eat there, but please don’t give me a tostada full of lettuce with barley any beans, rice or meat! Or nachos with 5 chips and hardly no meat! They always do this, even to my friend when she goes. Go to the Bedford location, they are great!

I absolutely love the food, I could eat here everyday but I’ve decided not to go back to the Pipeline location. I emailed corporate for a formal complaint, which I doubt anything was done, but there is an employee at this location who I find to be rude, dishonest, and lacks professionalism. Yelling, cursing, having a poor attitude with eye rolling etc is unacceptable.They need to do something about this guy. And why would I be rung up chips and queso that I did not order in lieu of a Coke, which apparently is going to save me money? It just doesn’t make any sense and again it goes back to honesty. Just had lunch here and saw a large cockroach crawling on the stainless steel part of the grill when I went to get my Churros after I finished eating my nachos! I brought it to a worker’s attention and he knocked it down and killed it. Definitely won’t be back again.

Our first time going here wasn't a good experience. We weren't greeted when we entered and not even when we were placing an order. The cashier just stood there staring at us and didn't say anything. They were not inviting at all; there was no how are you or how can I help and no smile. You can go here if you like to spend your money on horrible service. I downloaded their app and I received a promotion from them and the cashier would not let me use it even though the promotion never said I couldn't. We were dining in so when our food was ready they didn't communicate that to us. We had to get up and check and the food had already gotten cold. They also made a mistake on my husband's order. They food was not great because the service had already left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend them.

Sad…Sad…Sad I used to eat here all the time. Went in today and everything has changed for the worse. I always purchased the Double Chicken Tostada Salad. Today it had less beans, rice and sour cream. The chicken was cubed and also shredded. There was hardly 1/2 an avocado and the bowl itself was 1/2 the size as deep as it used to be.(They served it in a different container to make it look normal size but it is much smaller) The price has gone up to $9.99! Insane …. The amount they want to charge for 2 salads and 2 drinks we could have eaten a real meal and been waited on. This was the last time I will be eating here. Good Luck …Y’all will need it !

Over priced Tex mex food. The strawberry Fresca tasted like water with jello mix, I got a double shrimp bowl and it only had a few pieces of shrimp, I also asked for no avacado and of course it was on there. The only decent thing is the double crispy tacos.

I tried El Pollo Loco for the first time today and was very disappointed. Just like someone else's review, I received rice with a lot of dry hard pieces mixed in. I also received chicken that seemed like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 2 days. It was extremely dry and hard. I would say quality control is definitely lacking today.

Pollo Loco is always a win. I've been eating Pollo Loco for over 20 year since it originated in California. This location is the lowest quality of food I've ever had. I thought the first time was just bad luck, and thought the staff was having a bad day. The second time I went was worse. The food stinks and its sour like they don't clean or sanitize anything. Even the salsas are sour. The person who has helped me both times is so passive aggressively "nice". You can tell she doesn't care for that job, let alone the quality and handling of a kitchen.

Walked in, waited, was not greeted.. for SEVERAL minutes. even others who were there before us walked out. The restaurant was not busy.. two cars in the drive-thru and it seemed like everyone in the kitchen cared more about joking around than actually working. Visit was 02/03, around 6:30

Hurst has the worst possible service and food quality probably out of all El Pollo Loco. My chicken was so dry it broke my tooth. I ordered a Chicken bowl, rice beans, and chicken Repeated it three times and I get home and there's only dry rice and chicken No beans my two piece meal. I've had bad there before but this chicken was so dry and the rice was so dry I could not even eat it if I was management or QC at this restaurant , I would have district there in a heartbeat. I ordered the food told them it would be to go twice at the end. Of order Employee asks Is this gonna be to go or dine in?lol That was the first mistake the second mistake was me. I should've checked the order, but I didn't think it would be so difficult considering it was a bowl Chicken rice and beans that was it then let's go to my meal. I've had bad days at that particular location but I always go back because it's closest to my home but that chicken was so dry. I could not even eat it. My flour tortillas were half dried. Also, I usually don't do reviews but I had to this time First and foremost they had a ton of chicken that was on the grill and more chicken cooking but the ones that was cooked was so dried out It looks like they had been in the Texas heat so long that it had a sunburn! CHICKEN was burnt El Pollo Loco for the price they have to step up their game on top of it They gotta start being more correct on their orders. Every single time I go into the store I can repeat the order twice and have them read it back and they will still make a mistake. It's unreal to me, but this time was probably the worst experience I've had I used to go there three times a week. I probably won't go there after today , you're gonna charge me that kind of money and give me that quality of service and taste of food I don't want any part First and foremost as a manager I would not even put what I got today in anyone's box not even counting the salsa, I got four salsa and two of them had a chunk of tomato in there that took up the whole little cup And I needed all the juice I could get because that's how dry that chicken was I think i got most mad when I got home and found out that I got dry rice and overcooked chicken for the chicken bowl. So I have not been here at Pollo Loco in quite some time I decided to go there today for lunch and try again it is over priced the quantity you get is small portions. Came home after buying two Birria tacos five dollars each they give you sauce in this paper container you’ll see a picture below. The bottom fell out all over my carpet all over my table and the beans as well. The paper cups that they put the sauce in and your beans. Be careful that bottom will fall completely out on you. What a mess.

UPDATE: Don't go here and waste your money. Overpriced food and quality is poor. Tried them again today and sadly paid $27 for 2 salads and was charged for chips and guacamole that I never ordered. My double chicken avocado salad barely had pieces of avocado. It was a joke and will not be coming back. Poor service, poor quality food, and way overpriced! ------- Great food, but pricing is quite high. They recently increased prices but changed packaging to be smaller. I always get a salad and it is definitely a smaller portion now. Three of us to eat there was $40! We could have gone to a regular restaurant for that price. That was 2 salads, 1 order of nachos, and 1 iced tea. That was it and over $40. The food is good, but for the price and the portion size you may want to consider that when planning your trip to come eat here.
