Went to sonic around 10:00pm really friendly and food was great. Alysha was very friendly and every time I go when she is there my sauce is always in my bag!!!
Great burger!! The fries were perfectly cooked and the salt was on point on the fries!! The bun was fresh and topped the burger off nicely! The onion rings were golden brown, crunchy with a tender onion that almost melted in my mouth! The Chocolate Dr. Pepper was heaven!!! Yummy!? Great job today!!
Service is always good, and friendly. They notice and compliment details about the your car. The food is great. Eaten there many times, and the food is always neatly made and warm. The only issue I ever had is stall sixteen sometimes does not work, so dodge that stall.
Food is good but they ALWAYS get something wrong with the order. 😏 10/20/2022 update: What little quality was offered by Sonic in the past, its gone out the proverbial window. Prices soared and quality declined immensely. The food was lousy, horrible. I will NEVER dirty my mouth on another sonic menu item, at least not at this least location. I wouldn't doubt this company closing in the near future. Sad.
Some sonics disappoint, but this one is awesome! I commute from Lubbock to Crosbyton a few times a month for work, and I've always been impressed with the quality and service here!
I have to say although the orcas wrong at first, the chili burger looked great. They remade the order ,was very professional and the burger was better than any sonic I've been to in a long time. Thanks

This is by far the friendliest Sonic I've ever been to. The guy taking the order was super polite. Another employee noticed my dog in the truck at the drive through and offered a pup cup. Both could not have been friendlier. Order was perfectly prepared. Perfect experience on New Years Eve. Thank you to a great team.
My wife and daughters have stopped by here many times in the past. They’ve always had good things to say and been very pleased with the service and quality of drinks and snacks. Today I went through the drive through for a couple burger meals. Everything was good and they did just as asked and didn’t put onions on the burgers. They didn’t add jalapeños on it, but that was the only thing that wasn’t perfect about the order and hospitality of the employees. I can live with that and see why my better half says this location is GTG.

sonic has been around a while, as far as sonic's go, this is one of the good ones. be forewarned their ice cream is good and will make you come back for more. lots of deep fried delectible delights and BIG sonic drinks. my family loves this place. especially the kids.
Good eats, Got what I ordered right, long wait than normal but I ain't impatient about it like others. Friendly staff. They improved quite a bit actually. Wait time reduced pretty good. Staff as always friendly. Orders I've made have been correct without error. Good on you guys

Kids meal want the way I ordered it but other than that it was just like any other sonic.
Been there a few times and the food was good but my order was missed up twice.....they did fix it but the second time they came bk it was still wrong....so we just went somewhere else...
Good place to eat but these kids just run off with your change.if you let them keep it fine if not well that's that.but when they just take it that's a problem.
Service is at their upmost and the Carhops are always cheery and bright. The App has been down and they still honored my order and gave me my drink still at 1/2 price.
Was passing thru and had a late lunch. The place looked really nice and clean I have never seen a actually drive thru at a sonic. Food was okay we had foot long chill dogs and they put our mustard on the top so it was everywhere and we didn't get any napkins.Car hop needed to smile
Always having to double check my order is never fun. Sonic changed their hamburger meat a while ago and it sucks. But it's fast food, so it is what it is.
Was ok. Corn dog was already made. Prefer it fresh and hot pulled up out of the deep fryer.
Sonics food is what you would expect. Their drinks are always good and I can't complain about the price as long as you can get it ordered on the app. Their app though leaves alot to be desired. The app is constantly freezing or not working for whatever reason. Yet they don't budge on having to order using it to get any discounts. The app also doesn't always price things right. Like half the items on the $1.99 menu are actually charging people almost $4. No telling how many people they rip off with that a day. Just be careful ordering there. Always check your order and prices before paying.
It's ok. Service is not that great. We have to come here often due to lack of options & sometimes they get it right & the rest of the time they don't.
It's a sonic with low quality service every time we go and the drinks always fast like they use generic products. It's a last resort fast food stop for us.
Didn't get the chili dog as ordered, had to send back & a different employee came out with NEW order & was abit sarcastic...the customer who ORDERED the chili dog was a former Sonic employee so yes, she knows how Sonic is to make sure that they really listen to customers orders to get them DELIVERED AS ORDERED THE 1st TIME...so hence the 2 star rating, sorry... Cold coffee but girl made some fresh. No sugar or cream offered. Nothing but drinks at 9:00 am Monday morning. I do appreciate that they try to employee young people.
Ordered: a sonic blast, sweet tea, limeade slush and a strawberry shake. What I got: cup of ice cream with a sprinkle of Oreos JUST on top, ocean water, unsweet tea, strawberry shake was correct. Waited about 10-15 minutes just for it to come out, then waited longer bc they didn’t give us any straws, spoons or napkins and all our cups were sticky and covered in ice cream on the outside
Not the best sonic. Took forever to answer and bring out our drinks. I ordered a sweet tea w/cranberry....the screen and receipt said sweet tea and still they brought me an unsweet tea.
They were very slow. Could see them though the window just laughing and not working except the drive thru side. Even saw a guy employee touch a female inappropriately.
Hardly ever get my order right. I've gotten the wrong drinks before. My shakes have come out half melted. Often times the shakes aren't mixed well. For example, my oreo shake only had oreo at the very bottom. Never seem to have a manager on-site. They're lucky to get 2 stars. EDIT: There must be a new manager bc this Sonic has gotten much, much better. The burgers are loaded with veggies, and the orders of onion rings are bigger. Great job, Sonic! Edit #2: Don't know what happened but this Sonic has slipped back into its old habits of not giving you much like it's coming out of their own pockets. I've been going to a different location for a while now.
I will literally have a pleasant experience every single day at this spot, EXCEPT on Sundays. Rude staff that ignores me to the point I have to leave last week, and today getting cut off and sarcasm when I address my order was not finished. Had to correct the person taking my order several times, and was met with sarcasm. I've been in the service industry, so I get it, but kid you hate your job, ESPECIALLY on busy mornings like Sundays(where the money's at) maybe find something else. It's literally only ever a bad experience on Sundays in idalou.
They tried to serve us cold popcorn chicken and I believe all they did was throw it in the fryer for a few minutes to satisfy us. I know that it takes 6 minutes for fresh hot chicken.
I used to live sonic. But I cannot seem so get a hamburger. They ALWAYS put cheese on my burger & I order it without. I do love the new fries!
I ordered popcorn chicken & my first thought when I received my order was oh no!! You could tell the chicken was old! I maybe got 4 pieces that were edible! The rest was too hard! I love their drinks & ice cream. Staying away from the food!
The one in idalou takes at least 30 minutes no matter what you get and the fries are usually cold so clear your schedule if you want to sit here and wait the car hops are nice it just take forever to get your cold food
Spent $12 on an oreo blast with Caramel and a reeses blast with Caramel. Both orders were wrong. The oreo blast was a cup with only vanilla ice cream and cookies sprinkled on top. Everytime we get ice cream here it's either wrong or isn't mixed up.
Person taking order very impatient and RUDE!! Just took off without finishing my order. I don't have time for RUDENESS!!😡😡

I tried three different Sonic this morning to use my app card two of them said their app wasn't working the third one which was 60 miles away said yeah are apps working but I couldn't get it to work so I just left sure do have a lot of trouble with the app thank you
I asked for a #2, which is a hamburger, what showed up on the display was a chicken sandwich. I can guarantee the order is incorrect, it almost always is. GO SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THIS PLACE!!!
Seriously the people here are so rude and got our order wrong after correcting them 3 times. They made it seem like I was the problem when I told them our order was wrong.

It's hit and miss with your order. You might get it right or something or everything is wrong. I just stop for the drinks. Ok 20 plus minutes for drinks and a burrito, UNACCEPTABLE, yet I should have learned my lesson.. !!!!NEVER AGAIN !!!!!

This is the worst Sonic I've ever been to. They don't have the staff to take your order at the stalls. They only have the drive thru open. Don't go there in a hurry! 20 to 30 minutes minimum!
The worst Sonic I’ve been to. Expect high prices for poor quality food. On multiple occasions I’ve ordered and gotten nasty food.... I always have hope it will be better but it never is.

Guy working drive through is a thief. Watch your change closely he even took it out of his wallet when confronted. Nothing worse than being scammed
Ordered cheese sticks tonight and they were old tasting and very over cooked. I really think they reheated them. This Sonic is run by kids at night which needs to change before they loose all their business. I which there was another Sonic nearer to me..
I ordered a cherry coke and didn't get my cherry with it. And on the commercials they show them putting one in every drink. I guess I'm going to try to get on a sonic commercial to get a cherry with my coke.

I have gotten food poisoning from this restaurant 3 times!!! Everything else you have is good but anything chicken related is a death sentence!!!!
TERRIBLE!! Everytime I go and press the button it takes them about 20 mins to answer doesn't matter if it's busy or not!! They barley give you any food and never give you marinara sauce!! 6 times I've been and I've always asked for it and it never comes. Bad service bad place to go. Drive a couple more mins to get a WAY better sonic shut this one down or hire all new staff!!
I do not recommend this Sonic at all. We waited for about 10 minutes to have them take our order and the people next to us ordered way after. They got there food before us and we waited 20 minutes for a little thing of mozzarella sticks. It sucked.
I thought it was kind of weird that there were no people parked in the stalls. I also thought that it was weird that two employees were cleaning the screens and around the stalls. This time it's usually pretty busy, but not today. I pulled in a little after 615 and pushed the red button. Noticed a customer pull in a bit after I did. Look over and she's moving to another stall. Still the two female employees are cleaning, trying to avoid eye contact. I look over at the customer that had moved and she was pulling out. I look at my screen and noticed it was off, red button was off. I noticed employees through the window moving about. Here's what really gets me about this location... Only once in a while do I get what I actually order. Be it a drink, shake or meal. But today just rubbed me the wrong way. If the store is going to be shut down for something, LET THE CUSTOMERS KNOW. Today's interaction didn't deserve the star.
It sucked. Hot dig was cold hardly any chilli on the hot dog. The diet cherry limeade i usually get was so bad i couldn't drink it. Threw the entire thing out in the parking lot. How do these people stay in business. Food is horrible.
Waited 20 min for 3 drinks... when I pushed the button to ask what was going on, the lady told me they were short handed. The entire time I was there, 5 cars, including mine were parked. Meanwhile, 3 carhops stood inside Sonic, giggling and laughing the entire time. Maybe don't use the "short handed" excuse when your customer is parked near the entrance and can see what is going on inside. Or maybe get some training from the Lubbock Sonics where their employees actually get the orders to customers in a timely manner, rather than dragging their butts.
Ordered & sat for over 20 minutes. Buzzed them back to ask where the food was & the same young girl who took the order came on & said she was sorry but she showed no order for my stall. I am furious. I've had nothing but horrible service here & now I'm done with them. It's sad since there are so few places to eat in Idalou. Service here has just gotten worse & worse. Where's the management?
It took almost thirty mins for me to get my order. And I used the app. I don't like the fact that Alicia the manager sent an employee to tell me the reason it was taking so long was for fresh wings but twenty mins had already passed by. That I'm sure was just a little but the manager should have dealt with the situation and not sent a team member or like that. It was unprofessional .
I purchased two route 44 drinks with extra cherries. They charged me for the cherries and ripped me off. They gave us only one for each drink. Its becoming a habit. I have decided not to continue to use this Sonic in Idalou anymore. Buyers check your purchases.
The entire night crew working the window on Thursday, August 27th were EXTREMELY unprofessional to the point I don't want to return to this Sonic. They were talking/cussing out one another with the window wide open. They were yelling, cussing and joking instead of taking care of the customer. Also i was handed my blasts and they forgot my water. Had to remind them of that, then they didn't even hand me straws or spoons. Just unprofessionalism at its lowest form. Carhop named Garza I believe was working the window and he was absolutely horrible. Really hoping Sonic does something about this awful employees. Makes the Sonic franchise look TERRIBLE.
My girlfriend and I came to sonic at 10:30 pm and they were already shut down. They had chairs in all of the parking spots and when I went through the drive thru they told me they shut off the grill because they were closing. I asked what time they closed and they said 12 am but they were closing early because of them being short staffed. I could see at least 5 of them through the windows. So I don’t see how they were short staffed.
I love Sonic but this location is absolutely horrible! The wait is outrageous, the service is appalling and how on earth can you mess up the food? Wait close to 30 minutes for soggy fries and an incorrect order. Most poorly ran sonic I’ve ever experienced.
Seriously the worst Sonic ever. I ordered, waited, watched them place my bags and drink on the tray, waited some more, watched them play around, walk to the back, waited some more, and finally after 7 minutes of my food sitting there, I pushed the button to ask why my food wasn't being brought out to me and they said "I'm sorry about that" Ridiculous.
I get they're a bunch of kids working, but they need to pay more attention to what the customer is ordering, we always make it as simple as possible when ordering, like saying the word ONLY and specific of what we want and they're either not paying attention or distracted , because two times in a row they've messed up our order and having picky eaters, it's really annoying when they don't get it right.
20 minutes for a wrong order. I dont know why a double cheeseburger comes with one patty and no cheese, and then they act like its our fault it came out wrong and late.
Ordered 2 waters and a tea. They got my tea the wrong size. Waited 5 minutes to get the right tea. They always mess up my order and take forever at this sonic. They have lied to me about promotions and been rude to me many times.

having 3 children in school in Idalou I frequent the sonic quite a bit. today was the last time I go there for a long time. the service is extremely poor. the drive thru is the worst experience in the world. no matter how many times you have to repeat your order, they still seem to get it wrong. im done!
It was a BAD visit today...bought both my daughters m&m sonic blasts were the consistency of powder in ice cream with m&ms ONLY on top of them... They were yucky... Went back to get the blasts remade but wound up being the same way... 😒 girls just decided they were ready to go home...

This was the WORST experience with a Sonic ever. Ordered numerous burgers (on app which is self explanatory) and they were all done wrong. Called store following day to speak to manager to talk to cook (maybe was training) and find out who the GM was of this store since it was not a burger, it was 6. Could you imagine my surprise to find out that the GM, Oscar, was the one that cooked it?! Left my number for Oscar to call back and he chose not to. Apology was all that was sufficient. Didn't want my money back yet this store does not understand or comprehend customer service. I grew up in a small town and this GM can either make or break having a Sonic there. This store has been open since 2014 and with this store's leadership, how long will it stay open?!? Dairy Queen will get my business when I drive thru Idalou again. Only positive was the young man that brought the food out. That was his raising and not training.
Just left Sonic in Idalou Tx. Received one burger wrong. We checked before we left because last time the order was wrong. Even repeating it 3 times for the correct order for the burger the person still couldn’t get right. We gave up and left. We will just grab our food in Lubbock when we are traveling from now on. We go a lot to Lubbock. They use to be so good at this Sonic.
Update.... I've tried to use this Sonic almost every time I go to Lubbock. Every single time I put in my order, wait 20 minutes and it never shows up. And not when it's busy even. I'll light stacks of 100s on fire and eat the ashes before I ever attempt to spend money there again. Multiple years of attempts and the same results every time. 40 minutes for a corn dog that never showed up after I paid. Won't be making this mistake twice.
Always the slowest Sonic in America & the night of May 13th, 2024 had the rudest dim bulb taking orders I’ve encountered in roughly one million Sonic interactions over four decades. He should have been working on a crab boat or in a coal mine w/ that sorry set of people skills. Would give zero stars if possible
Ever wait 15 minutes for a food order with a 6yr old who needs a bathroom? They literally said "Sorry, we don't allow customers to use our restrooms" That's their choice, though I hope they don't expect positive reviews on the customer experience. Be more human, Sonic.
I am just done with rude customer service! I pulled up to the speaker to place my order. I began my order with a sausage, egg, & cheese burrito. Before I can say more , the young lady “is that all for you?” I say no and move on to my next item! A toaster combo with tots and a diet DP. Before I can tell her how I would like my toaster, she rushes me to the tots and drink! She kept interrupting me as I was trying to place my order with my preferred options. 99% of the time when you place an order , they don’t listen to you , they get the order wrong! Where has the customer service gone! If your workers are stopping people at the first item , then your ticket averages must suck! Upselling? What’s that ? Polite interaction with guest! Stop rushing orders and listen and take care of the guest! Needless to say, I would like to say I will not be returning to this location, but let’s face the facts , this happens everywhere. No one cares and I can assure you that nothing will be done to correct this issue !
Why is so hard for employees to comprehend at this location. I ordered a burger with mayo ketchup and cheese ONLY. How do I get only mustard and pickles no cheese just pickles and mustard completely ruined my meal and wasted my money AGAIN at this location.
The receipt was correct but when I got home I realized my burgers were all wrong. So I had to drive back to the sonic for them to correct my order. On drive back I ate my fries thinking they would just refill them for the inconvenience. They did not. Poor customer service. If you fkd up, just redo the order.🤯
I eat here often. the last 2 visits in november, my drink contained fermented strawberries. I'm not sure it's safe to continue eating here
I’ve lived in Idalou since they first opened this sonic. Never have they had worse service until now! This is the third time I’ve gone and have got my whole order wrong. My fries were half way cooked. My daughters popcorn chicken was over cooked so hard she couldn’t even eat it. My burger clearly said no onion and cheese and it still had both. It’s not even worth going back and complaining Bec they do nothing about making the food better!!!!

Left without our drinks and food. Ordered on the app. Somehow they did not have lids for Rt44 drinks. They were unable to correct our order to downgrade everything to large size instead and wanted us to order again on the app. It was a mess. Did not get anything and the bank is still holding the amount we initially paid on the app.
I don’t usually write reviews but this Sonic is actually horrible. Do not get on the mobile app they will never bring your food out (this has happened 3 times now) and if you ask anyone for help they look at you crazy. While I was there I saw they were getting everyone’s orders completely wrong and having people wait 30+ min. Just go to Lubbock and go to one of those locations or just skip it
The fries were cold and soggy the wait was very long and the staff was rude
So it was a normal day and I got off work and decided to go get my normal a route 44 and a sonic double, I ordered and went to the drive through when I could see into the kitchen I saw something suspicious like someone trying to hide something, it was a small and woman and a larger man, I didn’t really think of it to much, when I get my food I opened to make sure it was all there it was and I went home, when I got home I was gonna go enjoy my burger from sonic it so happened that their was a full eyebrow like a fake eyelash, I will never be going back to this place, I recommend others do the same
You messed up my food everyday when I come there, someone threw a cup at me. I had to wait a hour for my food.
I had just ordered some food for my family in the drive thru when i had seen a worker by the name of oscar with casual clothing, possibly a manger/owner itching in his pants before making the food.
Sooooooooooo I went here expecting to have a decent dinner, my order was pretty simple. 1 ocean water and a burger, wanna know what I got? A hotdog and an ocean water but whoever Jessica is dropped my drink on me some guy, i think she called him Oscar, slapped her in the bottom. She laughed when I mentioned the food was wrong and told me to drive away. So I went home feeling uncomfortable with the wrong order and soggy pants.
Asked for no onions got a hand full drink was packed with ice lady taking order wasn't nice the app didn't discount tried calling numerous times phn was busy every time .
Takes absolutely forever to get the food. Ill pre-order 15-25 minutes before I get there and it can still take up to 25 minutes for the order to come out.
They screw up orders and lie to customers about what is on the order. Then they dont even offer to remake the order, only replace what is missing or wrong, which makes you wait and all the other food you ordered gets old and nasty waiting on them to fix their mistake. Not sure its worth it to order food there anymore. Its gone down hill in a bad way over the past couple of years.
Don’t expect them to get the order right the first (or second) time. DON’T ask questions. Not about your order, definitely not about deals, specials or promotions. They are loud and aggressive and defensive. They do NOT want to talk to you. Better yet, just go home, they don’t want your money.
worst ever. I ordered two drinks online just to check in and wait 15 minutes for my drinks. Then to top it all off, we get our drinks and we drive off. I take a huge drink because I was looking forward to my Dr. Pepper and guess what - both were wrong!! I realize that I could have checked before we left but after sitting there for 15 minutes already, we were upset and nobody else was there so you would think they would have gotten it right. Never again.
Ordered a bacon cheese burger and they forget the bacon!!had an oreo blast . and didnt get it with order before i could ask kid closes window and turns around never repeated order.also ordered a strawberey limeade no ice and all i could get was chunks of cherries. As if the staff messed up starting making a cherry limeade and dumped it and started making a strawberry one on same cup and mixture of cherries.order here alot and last few months.. This place has gone down in quality and customer service. Second time in a row my orders are wrong. And i use the app to order. Total lack of workmanship .so let s see what "owner says on my post ..since response to all post like mine is pretty much saying take it up to franchise Take responsibility for your business and fix your management.alot of the 1 star post are recent. Some months or less mainly.. your response will show how much you care for your customers.
