I got the honey lavender iced latte and it was incredibly delicious!!! The barista was so friendly and even walked us through how they make their lavender syrup from scratch. I will definitely be back for another ASAP.
Bacon burrito is the BOMBBBB 👏 Everyone go get one!!!!
Best latte in town. Really nice people. A+++
Best breakfast burrito in town.

Comfy. Outlets. Good coffee.
Awesome coffee!
Best breakfast burrito I've had in years, try the chorizo! My chai was nice too!
Della was super kind and efficient. Coffee was delicious, wifi fast, and place had a great „vibe.“
A Local Gem in Isla Vista I’ve been spending a lot of time here lately, and it has quickly become my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Whether you’re looking to get some serious work done or just enjoy a slow morning, this shop nails the experience. The Space & Vibe The location is perfect, but it’s the interior that really wins you over. They’ve clearly put a lot of thought into the materials—the wood wall is a standout feature that makes the whole place feel warm and grounded. If you’re a remote worker or a student, this is a haven; there are plenty of outlets, so you never have to scout for a "power spot." The Menu I’ve tried a good portion of the menu, but these are my absolute go-tos: - Cold Brew: Smooth, strong, and consistently great. - Chorizo Burrito: Flavorful and the perfect hearty breakfast. - Garden Avocado Toast: Fresh, bright, and delicious. The Atmosphere The patio is lovely and arguably the best part for pet owners—our dogs, absolutely love coming here with us. It’s a very "community" feel where you’ll run into great people, and the owner is genuinely fantastic and welcoming. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area or a UCSB student!
Amazing avocado coast and coffee! Great start to my morning
My boyfriend and I got iced chai and matchas and they were perfect... love the fact that everything is brewed here. Super friendly staff and huge dining space
Great coffee ( nice & hot) and friendly people. Could be the best coffee house in Santa Barabara.
the guy working was really nice, the atmosphere is amazing especially for studying, really nice location and the iced tea we got was one of the best ive ever had!!
GREAT EXPERIENCE! Best waffle I’ve ever eaten, handmade by a gracious host. Definitely recommend.
This is the best coffee in Isla Vista!
One of the best coffee in IV
Love everything about old town!! Best coffee in town by far!
The vanilla cream cold brew is their newest addition and my new favorite:-) thank you Jared!
Great coffee and great staff ! I highly recommend !
Great coffee but even better empanadas!!! Recommend the mushroom spinach one, to die for!
Great atmosphere and their fiesta avocado toast is amazing!!
Love Old Town, really excited there’s one in IV now!
Beautiful space with actually comfortable seating, good coffee, and an awesome outdoor front and back patio
Went there for afternoon studying time. Nice space delicious drink, a very productive afternoon.
Coffee is good, there's a nice patio as well
Cozy and delicious. One of the best lattes I've had in a while.
Fantastic honey lavender latte accompanied with their cinnamon must have bun. 💝
Their syrups are great! I am not a fan of syrup as it always too sweet and covers the coffee flavor. And I thought sometime coffee shop use syrup to hide the fact that they can’t make good espresso and beans are bad. But their syrups surprise me. Syrup adds a touch of joy to your coffee and pretty balanced sweetness!!! Make my day everyday! 🥳
Great chai and a bunch of different options of syrups to choose from. Free WiFi and a great place to study
The best cafe in IV to sit down and do work at. Fast reliable wifi and lots of charging at every table inside. I like the drinks too (I'm mainly a cappuccino and cold brew type of guy depending on the weather)
Visiting from outta town for a few days and really dig this spot. Great yummy coffee with a cool vibe and nice quick service. Yummy vegan options as well. Much preferred over Dune Roasters, which I found alright but not as good of coffee and painfully slow service.
This place just showed up and they have insanely good espresso drinks! I recommend the Croissants too. They have nice outdoor seating and nice row of indoor seats as well.
I love the atmosphere of this coffee shop and how I get called by name as I walk in even after a short time frequenting the shop. The owner is very respectful and holds great conversation as do the employees. The quality of coffee and add ons is some of the best I've ever had. This is now my regular coffee shop and I'll recommend the honey lavender latte to anyone.
All the staff is so genuine and friendly, they really make you feel welcome. Great coffee too!
I love OTC! It's my go-to after yoga. The staff is amazing and they have the best lavender matcha ever. Jared, the manager, makes his own lavender and you can taste the difference. It's a must in SB!
This is a great place to chill and get the best service on State St. As a former baker I can only praise the best cinnamon bun I ever had was served here. Light & fluffy and surprisingly; the right amount of sweet and cinnamon; pair a gentle hot chocolate…. Yummy for my Tummy!
Old Town Coffee in Santa Barbara is top-notch! All their beans are locally roasted, giving us the best tasting cold brew and aeropress coffee. The friendly family running the place makes you feel right at home. We wouldn't dream of using any other beans - they're simply the best!
Entrance was welcoming as were staff. Loved their enthusiasm for each item as I had questions about it. Ordered the Ham & Cheese croissant with a Lavender Latte. Perfect light snack midday. Lavender Latte will be my go-to when I return. It’s apparently a homemade syrup which I think helps it taste like lavender versus most syrups that are overly sweet.
Fantastic homemade pesto on the chicken sandwich. Great coffee. Calm vibe-y music. I’m very happy I stopped in.
Amazing, high quality coffee and outlets under EVERY table — courtesy of Jared! Love this place, so glad this branch opened in I.V.
Best espresso in all of SB county. Love the owners and the environment at their coffee shop. Really good pastries, bagels and food options. Must go if you are a coffee/espresso drinker!
During our stay in Santa Barbara we spent some days at this place to work on our laptops. Good coffee, refeshing Iced Tea, delicious empanadas and different beers for the afternoon and very friendly employees :) We really enjoyed the atmosphere.
I go here more than I’d like to admit. There is a coffee place next door to my work but the workers never remember my name despite going there several times per week. At Old Town, they remembered. Also I think their coffee is better and they occasionally have vegan donuts. It’s the little things.
By far the best coffee shop in IV!! One of the best flat whites I have ever had is from here :)
Love it!! Favorite spot in IV
Very friendly, owners daughter suggested a few drink and tried them all very delicious teas and coffees! 😋 😋 😋 Teas: Cinnamon Fig w/ steamed oat milk & vanilla sweetener Jasmine blueberry steamed whole milk Passion fruit jasmine iced tea
Great place to meet up with friends or take a “me” moment. The coffee is delicious. The baristas are super nice. It’s atmosphere, and quality at its best.
I had the most delicious flavor packed vegan sofritas burrito from the IV location. First time here and will definitely be back! On top of that service is great :)
Cozy spot with a spacious courtyard hangout in the back. Coffee was delicious, highly recommend their cinnamon rolls as well. Staff is friendly and attentive. Plenty of spots to sit in the front of back.
Great friendly service, good food, good coffee, friendly to dogs. What else is there to ask for?
Love that they have so many plant based options including waffles, made on site vegan burritos and even vegan apple fritter Great customer service.
I had a great espresso macchiato And the real surprise was an apple fritter cake, which is also vegan and it was wonderful
Garden Avo toast is the best here!
Great location- welcome to Mosaic Locale! A quite corner opposite to the Art Museum, just $3-5 for a good brew, another $5 for a delicious cake or treat.
very friendly owner and good coffee.
Went here for a quick stop for lunch while passing through town, coffee and food were delicious and the owners are incredible. Reliable wifi so I was able to get some work done. Will definitely come back if im ever in the area again 💜 Thank you for the zip ties! They were a life saver 🙌
Best coffee I've had in Santa Barbara so far. Decent amount of seating. You have to ask for wifi access at the time of purchase. Great neighborhood coffee shop.
A nice little coffee shop in downtown Santa Barbara! We stopped in to get a snack and ended up sitting down in the courtyard outside to enjoy the yummy coffee and sunshine. They share the space with other local restaurants/cafes, so there were plenty of different unique & yummy options to chose from. I got an iced caramel lavender cold brew that was fabulous, and my husband had an iced green tea matcha with honey. The staff was friendly and seemed to have some good relationships with regulars/local patrons. They had plenty of indoor seating inside & out. There were also glasses and water for us to enjoy along side our treats. I would recommend stopping here if you are in-town exploring for the day.

I've only been here twice now, but this is definitely my new favorite coffee in the area. The quality of the espresso is incomparable to any espresso I've had. It tastes SO good. The baked goods (white chocolate raspberry blondie and the lemon poppyseed loaf) were super delicious, very fresh and good quality, and they are locally made in the area which is so nice to see companies supporting local businesses. The service here is also great. The employees and managers are very kind and caring of their customers which is something I appreciate.
Finally a cool new coffee spot in IV! This place has AMAZING cold brew & bomb breakfast burritos that they make in-house. It’s got a clean look, super-friendly staff, and chill, deep house tunes going all day. Also lots of outdoor seating & parking. Definitely my new, go-to coffee spot!
FINALLY found the perfect coffee place in IV. It has tons of seating, both indoors and outdoors, and perfectly complements the laid-back Santa Barbara atmosphere. I’ve already been twice and plan to be a regular. Staff is friendly and polite, perfect for socializing or studying, very clean and tidy, and coffee is perfect (coming from someone who is never satisfied with their coffee😅). I usually get a cappuccino, but my friends liked their iced coffee too. Definitely go try!
Two friends of mine recommended I try my first-ever Matcha here at the Old Town Coffee, so we ordered the raspberry matcha. When I tell you, since then I have tried raspberry matchas at many different coffee shops, but none of them are as perfect as the ones here. It does not have a strong grassy taste to it, and they put the perfect amount of raspberry flavoring to it. On top of that, the service and the people working there are 10/10. Very friendly, helpful, and always down for a good conversation. Not to mention, the $2 pastry deal after 2 pm...it's just my favorite coffee shop in America!
BEST place to study!! truly great coffee, yummy eats, and fresh air, right in the center of IV so you’re close to EVERYTHING. i drop my laundry next door and get to work, the atmosphere is so nice and focused. thanks old town! 🩷

this coffee is not in old town santa barbara
Lovely ambience, friendly staff, the cinnamon roll was great. 4 stars because we felt the coffee was alright, nothing special.
Coffee was wonderful, service was a bit grumpy - but things happen, everyone has an off day here and there.
Their lemon bars? Delicious! Their chocolate donuts? Richly flavored! Their simple glazed donuts? Absolutely amazing if chilled in the refrigerator! Skip elsewhere, Old Town Coffee is all you need. Edit: Frustrated after they cancelled our order at the last minute two days in a row. No point in making an order if your business is consistently unreliable.
Very good Coffee in Saint Barbara. Old Town Coffee bring back my Italian breakfast! good Coffee latte, croissant and sun shine. 👍🤤
Went there last June 2024. One of the recommended local cafes in Sta Barbara. A good selection of craft coffee and drinks. Pretty busy area with many tourist traffic so the seats may be easily filled
Nice coffee shop in downtown Santa Barbara! Obviously a unique place with the draft dispensers around. Plentiful variety of coffee drinks and food items in a great location. Loved the ambience of the outdoors especially. To be perfectly honest, the coffee didn’t strike me as anything special or remarkably good. But, the staff were lovely and clearly treat their customers with care! That is well appreciated beyond any particular brew or single drink experience. Kuddos!

Half friendly service, half not. Always been that vibe. It’s cool I can play that too. But in a mega sustainability leaning college town, to look at a regular customer who asks to pay for a cup of hot water in their freshly washed reusable mug, and say with seeming attitude, “yeah we can’t really fill up YOUR cup” without offering an alternative, just isn’t rad service. $1 for your paper cup was fine to offer rather than me having to ask a second time. Others would call it rude. I call it an sb day. Cheers. Indoor and outdoor seating… Coffee espresso matches pastries etc, menu with avo toast and more. Good when it’s good. Usually low key chill. Merch and coffee for sale.

Not sure why you don’t get ceramic cups when you sit down in the place
Lovely little place, but definitely not for those who like a certain definition of how coffee is served. Flat Whites taste more like lattes, and are a little bland. Atmosphere is cute, especially with the courtyard.
Cappuccino had nice art but the actual coffee tasted burnt and mid. Witnessed the owner being territorial and kicking people out from their empty patio. Not a very friendly or welcoming environment and the shop was desolate. I guess it's good to have competition to see that Cajé is the better choice for both coffee and vibes in IV.

Was planning on trying this place until I was rudely yelled at for parking next to it by what i assume is the manager. My friend was trying to get an energy drink before we went and he assumed we weren’t dining in the restaurant and gave us sass as he told us under no circumstance could we park there. While I was excited to come here, I will never be making that mistake again. New restaurants in Isla Vista can’t afford disrespectful behavior to residents like this.
Don’t believe their hours. They close at their convenience, even when the rest of the vendors are open and there is someone behind the counter. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
