O que dizem os clientes de Gimme!Coffee
Gimme! Coffee is a popular Ithaca spot known for its excellent coffee, matcha lattes, and friendly staff. It's often busy, especially in the mornings, and seating can be limited. Some customers find the upcharge for oat milk excessive, and some drinks overly sweet.

Great coffee shop with tasty treats!
Super cute coffee house in a residential neighborhood.
Great quick visit. Place was very busy and the seats are very close together, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our visit! We had an Americano and a house made chai. Both delicious! Staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean .
Someone got me the coffee while I waited in the car but no compliant about service or anything. I can tell you that this coffee was very good. I plan to order some online.
Attentive staff, great look, outdoor seating...the best iced Americano to date, and I run a coffee shop... this coffee is delicious, so smooth Go get a cup and see for yourself.
Great coffee!!! Love this place. It's such a nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. During the summer it's even better to just sit outside and enjoy being outside.
Probably the best coffee in Ithaca. The staff was nice and the coffee was good. Lots of pastry options and some neat syrup flavors.
One of the most awesome coffee shops in upstate New York. Rivals those in New York, Philadelphia and Chicago. Probably can go head to head with San Francisco. Would travel pretty far to come here.
great coffee beans. we order from Pennsylvania. really like the Honduras angel bbs
Gimme coffee is the best brew around!! The pastries are fresh, locally made, and excellent
They are always so sweet and super quick no matter how busy!
Great coffee in a quaint shop... UNCLE GERRY’S TIP: Bring a pound or two home, and use a french press to make some top-notch coffee and always GRIND YOUR OWNS BEANS RIGHT BEFORE BREWING.
Hands down the best coffee in Ithaca. La Marzocco espresso machine, with baristas that are highly trained, beans that are of the highest quality, and local milk.
Very pleasant coffee with small but good pastry selection. Currently no indoor seating but outdoor seating was available
Gimme coffee has some of the best coffee beans I’ve tried. Highly recommend not just trying but also ordering beans from their roastery.
Saw the barista take great care preparing espresso. Flavor was perfect.
Delicious drinks with amazing service! Darn good Latte foam artists too! Such a cute cozy friendly environment with lots of nice places to sit and relax. Yummy treats to go with those drinks too. Must try!
A robust, full throated espresso. friends who obsess cappuccino loved it. Various croissant options - the plain and almond were both solid. NYC/Paris reference point. Restroom is available and clean.
Amazing local coffee. A must visit for visitors of ithaca and locals alike. Cappuccino is my go to and I love their scones. They also sell many varieties of whole bean coffee to take home.
DELICIOUS coffee! (and I'm really picky). Nice neighborhood spot. Pricey, but worth it.
Great little shop in Ithaca for artisan style coffee. I don't believe I saw an option for a chemex pour over, but had a variety of beans from different parts of the world. I had a latte with a Kenyan espresso bean which was delicious. I always try new coffee shops when I'm in different towns and despite going to school at Cornell, I never tried Gimme.
Stopped here on my only morning in Ithaca - had a delicious latte and scone. Bonus: they have lots of gorgeous plants inside and a 10% discount if you bring your own mug, and only a short walk from the Cascadilla Gorge trail. Glad I stopped in!
Love this place except for the "sitters". Great coffee and tea; wonderful snacks. The place is small and people come in there with their computers and just sit for hours. Come on, folks - it's a coffee shop not a library. Hard to go in and get a table and talk with a friend. Could be so good, but it just isn't.
Seriously some of the best coffee I have ever had. My favorite is a cappuccino with an extra shot. As good as the best espresso I have had in Boston, Portland, or Paris. Their whole bean coffee is also excellent, I pick some up every time I pass through.
Gimme! Coffee is without a doubt the best coffee shop in Ithaca. Their mochas are the stuff of legend. This particular shop on Cascadilla St also has a great selection of baked treats (the espresso brownie is my recommendation!)
Pretty sure you can get caffeinated simply by breathing in here. It's a small but wonderful local coffee shop for the serious coffee drinkers. Seriously, if you order a regular coffee from here, it will be delicious, but not taste like the regular coffee you're used to. It can get crowded, and loud, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I love the quaint and energetic atmosphere, and the baristas are always very well-trained, helpful, and accommodating. The Cayuga St location can get pretty crowded, making it hard to find seating. Overall it's my favourite coffee in Ithaca, and there's a great selection of vegan baked goods at all locations. I recommend the chai-oatie (oat milk chai) hot or cold!
Fantastic coffee whether you grab the daily light/medium, medium/dark, or espresso roast. Grabbing a cup of coffee from Gimme! can honestly make any crummy day much better. My only complaint is that it can be cramped for space, but once you find a seat (whether inside or out), it always makes for a great atmosphere to buckle down, sip at your coffee, and get your work done (while likely grabbing a re-fill).
I have travel far and wide to multiple coffee shop in the world. I've been a barista at the finest of the finest from OR, CA, Chicago, and between. I must say that my espresso and drip coffee was one of the few places I'd drive 100 miles out of my way in transit to get. Thank you Gimme Coffee!
Cute corner neighborhood coffee shop. A refuge from the weather outside with offerings of a variety of individually crafted beverages and baked goods. Ample seating and tables indoors, and outdoors in warmer seasons. Convenient to bus stop.
I love the name. They even have bumper stickers with the name. But, this is off track. It's a nice coffee shop and great place to hang out. Authentic, not starbucky and full of academic types due to its proximity to Cornell.
Yum! Such a cute place.offering everything you need I got a latte - they had oat, almond and I believe soy milk options. The chocolate croissant was amazing!
Authentic coffee bar serving perfect all coffee beverages, hot and cold. Cappuccino, machiatto, espresso, lattes, americano, brewed coffee. All drinks made by real coffee experts. The best coffee fix in Ithaca.
I love this place! Their coffee is spot-on delicious and their staff is great. You can have a tiny bite if you want from their savory and sweet pastries collection.
Killer local coffee - buy whole beans for home. Great tasting every morning.
Greatest coffee in Town! Had it several times and always so happy and grateful I went there! (My favorite : Iced Oat Latte 😍🤘)
Good espresso. Full stop. But also good decaf espresso. The barista and the rest of the staff were on fire first thing to clear the morning queue, and super friendly. Thanks, guys!!
Always amazing! Excellent espressso just as in Europe or even better!
Best coffee shop in Ithaca. Been going here since 2015
Great coffee shop, wonderful vibes, and good chai!!!
Great place for a to-go drink. Their matcha latte is great—many places have sub-par matcha so this is exciting! Very little indoor seating, but lots of outdoor seating for warm weather. I have taken a friend here and then walked to Ithaca Falls many a time.
A super chill, earthy, low-key coffee joint with indoor and outdoor seating, though not a ton. Had some business out this way and came here, and was happily surprised with the quality of the product and the people :) great work people, I'll be back!
I run a coffee shop outta town and I always have to check out local shops! I must say, gimme coffee has a stronghold on this area but for good reason: it’s good coffee. This was my favorite location (mostly due to the outdoor seating area, but the staff was nice too) and the first one I visited that got me on a 4-day gimme coffee obsession. I was supposed to drink hotel coffee and save money but I got roped in. Dreaming of the day when I get to go back!!
Amazing coffee and house-made syrups, wide variety of pastries including vegan ones, and excellent service. Just be aware that seating space is very limited.
Got a morning hot Cappuccino in the local which was decent ok. A bit sweet to me tho I didn't put any sugar. No complaints as it's kinda personal taste. It's a pretty cute spot at the corner.
I'm making some work visits to Ithaca and this has become my daily morning coffee & breakfast spot. Really lovely place with friendly and helpful staff. The morning glory muffin and spinach & feta scone are faves, plus a big cup of their excellent filter coffee. Don't think I've ever waited more than 2 mins to get served. They also accept contactless payments, which most international visitors like myself will prefer 👍
This is my go to coffee spot in Ithaca. Great coffee, many choices. Blocks from my apartment, I'm here all the time.
One of my favorite spots when visiting Ithaca! Huge fan of the matcha drinks and be sure to get early because it is a popular locationsl so it is always packed with customers for such a small space.
Small coffee shop, only a couple of seating options, so this is better for take away coffee. Coffee was good.
A few things I love about Gimme: they have soy milk (my favorite!!), their pumpkin spice is house-made & doesn't have dairy in it (like most coffee shops that use the Torani sauce or similar), and they're unbelievably speedy?! There will be a huge line but once I order, my drink is ready in like a minute I don't get it! They're pretty expensive but I think it's worth it imo.. their drinks are great & they even have vegan pastries. I'd like to support that! :)
This is an adorable cafe on the corner with incredible coffee and lovely service. The matcha latte is not sweet (thank you!) unless you make it sweet, the hot chocolate is rich and reminiscent of the chocolatey-ness of ice cream without being too sweet. The seasonal rose almond latte is truly divine!!! Love that they have soy milk too, it's hard to find! The morning-glory vegan muffin is delicious - full of fruit chunks!
Great little coffee shop. Small selection of pastries and some other items. Staff was friendly and the place was packed when we stopped by on labr day. Lots of locals so you know it's good.
Immaculate atmosphere. Cool and helpful staff. The mocha latte I ordered was perfect! The texture and flavor were exceptional. Be aware that seating is incredibly limited.
I stopped in at Gimme! Coffee after a short walk from the Hilton Garden Inn. The barista is well-trained and pulled a perfect shot for my Americano. They had an excellent selection of pastries that looked tasty. There is seating outside and inside. I would definitely recommend Gimme! Coffee!!
Gimme! is the best coffee chain (and shop!!!) in Ithaca, in my opinion, although the last time I visited was last August (the one in Gates Hall). As I’m not a coffee drinker anymore, I always order either their Matcha latte or Chai latte which had always been a fresh thirst quencher, especially when you add honey to your matcha - perfect! Not forgetting their pastries, I really love their butter croissant to go also did try their cookies which were amazing treats. The staffs were friendly and the service was great :)
I'm not a coffee person, but their baked goods are yummy. My favorite is the orange cinnamon roll. It's like a croissant and a cinnamon roll had a baby of epic yum.
Really good coffee made by people who know what they're doing. It's not like a full service cafe but if you need a coffee pick me up it's a good place to go
Consistently great coffee. Done good snacks. I'm also appreciative of their whole bean selections and their available coffee-making supplies.
Good coffee, reasonable prices. Inside seating area blocked (with cratee) at this time. Would be nice if it was available. 2 bemches and 2 tables outside to enjoy
It's not my favorite coffee, but good. The location is lovely, in a vibrant neighborhood where you can people watch all day long.
Smell inside the shop is great. They run out of pastries pretty early
The original Gimme Coffee location. Service and coffee are always great. In the last couple years it has become a very popular workspace, which can make it hard to get a table, and awkward to have conversations. The State Street location is larger and more comfortable for meeting a friend.
A cute little cafe in a residential neighbourhood. Good coffee. Small selection of cakes. Good for working and having a coffee.
Student oriented coffee shop at corner on two different bus routes. Good area for a stroll near canals. I had juice which was good but pricey. My wife purchased coffee and an excellent chocolate bar.
Friendly, competent staff and really good coffee as well as tasty pastries. I love this place but it is a bit tight on seating, so if you want to sit around and just use their Wifi, please be considerate and don't stay there for hours...
On a nice fall day it was great to stop by Gimme! coffee. First of all, the caramel was the best caramel I ever had in a latte. The reasonings for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the latte was a bit stronger. It’s hard to taste the espresso for me without an extra shot. But I really do recommend!
Fantastic coffee though the pastry selection was a bit small. All in all I enjoyed this corner shop but would have loved for more pastries and longer hours. And yes, it’s still a must to return to!
Very busy at certain times. Kinda over priced. I think for the money Dunkins is the way to go! Unless your trying to fit in with the liberal tree huggers and the morons on the county board who keep raising out property taxes! Then you'll fell right at home!
I really wanted to like the coffee. They have a bird friendly coffee that I wanted to start using for my regular beans at home. Unfortunately, the two coffees I received user far too grounds for the brew, making them bitter and unpleasantly strong. Maybe I’ll give them another try in the future but this isn’t one worth the shipping right now. Edit: Thanks for the concern from the owner. It may be a matter of regional preference for very strong coffee. I definitely didn’t keep my order number and I’m not looking for refunds. I ordered drip because it was the only way I could try the bird friendly coffee beans. The drip coffee was fresh but just far too strong to balance any roast notes. I’d like to presume you don’t over roast the beans. My recommendation, if it isn’t a regional preference, is to have your staff lower the amount of beans for drip brewing. It’ll allow more nuanced roast profiles to shine in the cup without the bitterness. It’ll also save the shop on supplies and costs.
Fast moving small spot. Coffee is fab. Limited space inside. Plenty of space outside. Less stars for it being quite over priced for some drinks
I want to preface this review by saying that I used to be a barista at a very busy café, and I was trained by a gimme coffee barista so this isn’t coming out of left field. I want to start off by saying that the drinks, at gimme coffee are absolutely superb save for one. They have really good quality control. They weigh out the espresso that goes in the shots. They have a rigorous training program for their barista. They have real macchiatos. That being said, I have been coming to this coffee shop for nearly 15 years and nine times out of 10 I choose to go someplace else these days and that’s a very nearly universal experience with both my friends and family. They choose other coffee shops, and the reason is because they are so slow. Granted they are very busy and they do take control seriously however it’s out of hand. There are probably a dozen things that they could do to speed it up. However, my biggest issue is that I’ve been all over the world and I’ve never, never seen a service business run with less urgency. I have worked as a barista, busser, and server in more than one city. The laissez faire attitude of the employees is so infuriating. It seems like they could care less when you’re drinking out. It’s like watching the sloths at the DMV in Zootopia. I watched one of the braces take two minutes to weigh out the shop. How do I know that it took two minutes because I timed it and her manager was standing right there and didn’t say anything. If you can’t talk and work quickly then you need to stop talking. It’s feels like the business is resting on their past laurels and doesn’t really care anymore. Which is a huge shame for a coffee shop that could be great, but now is not worth the wait at all. One last thing don’t get their mocha you’re going to be disappointed. It’s the only drink on the menu that isn’t good.
While I like this place and go here almost every day on my dog walk. To up Charge almost 2 bucks for oat milk instead of dairy milk is ridiculous. Please change that.
Good place to grab a drink or snack. The service is just awful. The staff seem to think they’re better than everyone else... or they just don’t care to be there. Seriously... smile... or even be nice? It won’t kill you.
Great quality coffee, but this location is using only single-use disposable products, nothing reusable, which is not the direction any company should be headed in 2021. Very disappointing - won’t return unless they adopt more sustainable practices.
Service was extremely slow and baristas were rude and not helpful. The food was okay but the matcha was good.
Well pulled shots. But what to do when an employee gets aggravated by asking for a cacao powder thats not in plain view? I waited until it was slow and the aggression was uncalled for 😶 So much for a peaceful morning off at the cafe, geez
Good place to grab a drink or snack. Coffee is not bad but it is not great. GF Brownies is great. However, the service and servers are awful. The staff seem to think they’re better than everyone else... or they just don’t care to be there and they don't care about customer service at all. I will never go there again.
I was really disappointed in the whole experience customer was absolutely appalling yes understand your closing but to go around sweep your floor while my family is eating and ask customers to leave because your closing, the coffee was bottom barreled weak on top no personality. 3pm was on Friday afternoon when consumers want a caffeine pick me up. Shame on you and wear gloves for sake when handling your cookies!!
I found Gimme! To be over rated. I ordered a Caramel Latte and it was burnt with an odd flavor. It was ridiculously sweet. I couldn't finish it. I went to two different locations. The first was by Cornell in a small plaza. It was really small and cramped and too busy so I went to another location. The second location was equally tiny and busy. Because they were busy, I figured it would be really good and unfortunately for me it wasn't good. $8 bucks down the drain.
This is my local coffee shop and I am very sorry this event happened. The manager behaved with cero knowledge in harm reduction towards a black costumer, and immediately threatened to call the cops on brown people that were just communicating the issue in a civilized manner. It is a shame that our local coffee shop does not have the cultural and social ability to better serve the diversity of Fall Creek population. This has become a unsafe place for bipoc, disable, and other neurodivergent people. I wish @gimmecoffee would really take seriously training their managers for these events never happen again.
Came in and asked for a large hot chocolate with steamed oat milk, and got a luke warm drink instead. Went back and told them it wasnt hot at all. So they made me another one that was less warm. I paid almost 8 dollars for this drink. Will not b3 coming back. The one on state street do a much better job.
They got both of my orders wrong and took for ever to do that. The coffee itself was some of the most bitter I ever had. After drinking two sips I threw it away.
