I love this place. Old school diner that has just about everything you’d want, and it’s right on the water.
Went there on a Sunday morning with my friend. The outdoor area was basically at full capacity. The waitstaff were really sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. I got the spinach eggs Benedict which was really good and the home fries which were excellent. It’s a super nice location and I would really recommend trying it out.
This little diner/cafe is just incredible and has a hard working and dedicated staff. I attend once a month with friends from the area. There are always a minimum of 15-20 of us and we only ever have one waitress. She is very quick and gets orders right the first time around. If something is dissatisfying she fixes the problem immediately. We love the outdoor seating when it's nice out and the upstairs private dining during the colder months. Our friends with boats love it during the warm months because they can dock right up next to the diner and come upstairs from the outside. As for all of the comments I read about it being a dirty place, especially the newer ones, shame on you. This establishment has always been pristine when I've attended and that picture of the toilet when you search the restaurant, that's not even one of their bathrooms, shame on the people who posted those. The owner is a wonderfully sarcastic yet cheer man. He's such a sweet heart. I hope others get to enjoy Kelley's as much as I do.
I'm a huge Kelly's fan. It's become one of my favorite weekend breakfast spots over the past four years. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and I absolutely love the view of the water from Kelly's outdoor seating. The atmosphere outside is absolutely wonderful, and keeps me coming back. They make a great corned beef hash, and an excellent Reuben sandwich. Definitely worth a trip if you like great breakfast food and an outdoor view of water/ducks.
Fabulous food and service! We couldn't have asked for better! Well definitely be back. We both had the Captain's Platter.

Great little place! We were driving through on our way home from Rochester and decided to stop. Food was quite good, I had chicken club and my husband had the French dip. Both came with fries, which were perfectly cooked and delicious. Portion sizes were just right. Everyone was friendly, service was attentive!
We had a nice late breakfast at Kelly's Dockside Cafe this morning. Quick friendly service and good food! My omelette was done perfectly, the grilled corn muffin was great and my wife really liked her pancakes. The owner even came by the table to make sure everyting was good.
Was traveling with my family down country roads and wanted to have a bite. The restaurant was the nearest. How lucky we were! Serves the best toast with bacon in syrup in all of North America. You also get a coffee refill. If only I don’t live 180 miles away would make this a regular place for breakfast. Did I talk about the service? Superb! The lady was warm and courteous and you can tell she knows how to treat her clients well.
This place is unique. Great atmosphere. If your looking for down to earth great service low key place. This is it. Highly recommend due to the staff. We did not eat there. Kind of wish we did
Wife, I, & the greyhounds (Winnie- pictured) had a wonderful breakfast while passing thru Ithaca. Food was wonderful. Service with a smile; Winnie felt the need to reciprocate on the dog-friendly patio. We'll try to race back soon when in the area! TY for helping us get our morning off to a good start! ❤️🫶😀
My dining experience at Kelly’s Dockside was quite pleasant. The menu didn’t have a huge selection so it made choosing my meal quite easy. The food was made and brought out quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend trying out the Eggs/Crab Benedict. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and very sharp when it came to addressing our needs.
From the minute I walked into this place I knew it was going to be amazing. Despite the exterior look, this place is absolutely phenomenal! The classic music (Beatles, stones, doors) was on point for the atmosphere. Cozy little place. I will 100% without a doubt be back. This has high potential to be my new every day lunch spot. (Order the fries)
SO CUTE! If you’re looking for picturesque look no further! Kelly’s has seating in the back overlooking the creek with lots of plants and whimsical decorations- literally so cute. And the staff was so friendly!! It’s hard to find service people who are genuinely so nice and happy to help you! Our waitress was so nice and the food was great! Had the crab Benedict and the stuffed French toast both delicious!
This was a nice restaurant to visit close by the falls. I stopped in with my girlfriend after a hike because the snack shack was closed, and I was not disappointed. We were the only people there, aside from the person running the restaurant, and the service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely keep this place in mind the next time I'm camping in the area.
First time here. It was wonderful. Other than the fact that I ate too much. Susanne was our server. She was very attentive. The soup and steaks were delicious. Thank you. It makes us want to come back.
I was in the area to visit the nearby medical center, and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. The service was very speedy, and it was so nice to sit by the waterfront! Very scenic, and I'd love to come back for their brunch one day! Also while it's a bit hyper-specific, I loved the way the fries were cut. Nice and crispy, while still being fluffy on the inside.
It was so yummy and the patio was beautiful and peaceful. Too bad it's closing in 3 weeks. Everyone should try and eat there as much as possible before it does.
Stopped by for brunch. The food was good, a little over priced but definitely good. We’re in town on vacation with our pup so a dog-friendly place was mandatory. Our pup loved her eggs and enjoyed watching the duckies. Our bill came to around $70 for 3 humans and a pup. If we find ourselves in Ithaca again, we would stop by Kelly’s Dock-Side Cafe again.
My daughter and I went camping and exploring all the waterfalls, we decided to stop here for dinner one night and it was great! Very reasonable prices and a great view sitting by the water, the service was excellent and the food came out extremely quick and was delicious! Definitely coming back again.
I had the pleasure to pop in with my girl and grab a lovely lunch yesterday here. The server was very polite, and the service was stellar! It was not busy at all, so our food came out quickly (maybe less than ten minutes after ordering), and the ambiance of the back deck overlooking the creek channels that empty into Cayuga Lake was amazing with watching boats, the water, wildlife, and the buzz of Ithaca. The food was very good, the calamari appetizer was extremely tasty, with the breading coming out perfectly with the squid. I got the breaded scallops plate, and my girlfriend got the breaded shrimp. Both were lovely, with each of us sharing bits of our entrees to try out the other’s. My breaded scallops were delicious, not dry whatsoever, still moist and paired well with the breading. My girl enjoyed the shrimps, as did the ones I got to enjoy from her plate. Will definitely return, it is a lovely seafood spot on the water :)
We visited early for dinner on a weekday after a day of hiking and were made to feel right at home by our wonderful server as soon as we walked in, and had a lovely time seated outside by the water. The owner of 50 years cooked for us—the Cajun blackened catfish was to die for, and we got to try salt potatoes for the first time. The Rachel sandwich and the grilled Cajun chicken sandwich were also delicious. We really liked the seasoned potato wedges and a refreshing cocktail. The pictures may look simple, but the flavors are amazing. The decor, while a little dated, only adds to the charm. We were on the fence about going and are so glad we did. A must stop!
Really nice place to have lunch and a drink and sit by the water. We stop here when we come into Ithaca to ride our bikes on the water front trail and visit the farmers market. Very friendly attentive down to earth service. Great food. My salad was very fresh and the chicken was perfect. My husband tried their grilled chicken sandwich and potatoe wedges and he enjoyed it. If your complaining about prices and portions you obviously haven't been to the grocery store lately. Their prices are on par with other restaurants and the views from the canal seating are great. We really enjoy stopping here!
WehwWe had an amazing time here, stumbled up on it by chance as it is accessible by the trail that wrapping around the lake. We sat outside in the back of the Cafe. Wellcoming waitresses brought our delicious food as we enjoyed the view and ambiance. The cocktails are as good as the food. The waiters are super friendly as we just witness a family coming g with their dog and they did not only bought water around for the people but they bought out a bowl of water for the dog too.It is a must visit if you want to have a good time.
Wonderful Family friendly, Family-Owned restaurant. 6 of us walked in they Susie was super awesome! A must visit! We had burgers and chicken tender. Sorry no pictures of the food we were hungry and it looked and it was so delicious, juicy burgers, very crispy we mentioned fresh tenders when we ate them. We had a fantastic meal well visit again! You should visit too!
We sat outside on the patio near the water. Our waitress was very friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness that we felt taken care of and not hovered over. The portions were generous and substitutions were fine. The food was a step above diner food. Prices very reasonable. I'll go there again.
Great lil hidden gym for a date night out or time with the family. Food wasn't bad at all, employees are extremely helpful and polite. It's right next to the water. P.s. I hear they have the best brownie sundae in ithaca for my sweet tooth ppl try it out.
Food was good, portions are a bit small. Maybe I eat a bit more than the average, if your super hungry, order extra. Service was good too.
It was a Beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside. We enjoyed a peaceful pleasant lunch, on the inlet. Food was tasty and nicely presented. Young wait person was relatively new on the job but was friendly and made us feel very welcome. She did a good job serving. It's an older establishment but deserving of a visit if in ithaca and omelets are still great!
Kelly's was nice. Very empty for brunch on a Saturday, but the service and food were pretty good! Our waitress was very polite and attentive. My crab omelette was tasty. Imitation crab, but still good if you want a seafood breakfast. Seating patio out back was full of bees, so we ended up taking our plates inside to finish.
We went in today for Mother's Day and were a little unsure when we pulled up and it looked a bit rundown and not busy. I had read reviews so I was still willing to give it a shot. We went in and got seated right away at a table in the back. There is a small patio out back overlooking the river but it was too chilly to sit out there today so we sat inside and still had a view. Everyone we interacted with were very friendly and our server was very nice. We were thrilled that our food came out quickly and everything was hot and fresh! Everything from the Spinach Eggs Benedict, the Kelly's Corned Beef and Hash, Omelettes and french toast were all very delicious!! We were very pleased with our visit and I truly hope more people give them a chance. They could use a little updating but the quality of food and service are more important to me!
Came here on a weekday for lunch and overall had a pretty solid experience! Was seated fairly quickly and the vibes were great - we were right by the water on one of the rare sunny and warm days in Ithaca. The food itself was good. I got the steak burger, which was one of the more expensive items on the menu. The meat was cooked medium rare, like I asked and seasoned very well. However, I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. It also did take quite a while for the food to come out, despite there not being too many people at the restaurant.
It's lovely to eat on the deck overlooking the canal! The Ruben was very good It came with a pickle. Chips would have been nice with it. I love seafood chowder...this was good but a bit salty. I did not like the taco salad. The only taste was from salsa and sour cream. No taco taste at all. I'll go again but try something else.
We got the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs as well as the Caesar Salad with Chicken. The Corned beef is made in house and very good. The Caesar Salad was a bit too salty for my taste. They also included red onions and mushrooms in the salad. Whether that is a good or bad thing I believe is up to you. The place itself is cute, it definitely does not have modern decorum, but I believe because of that it gives the place it's charm.
Unlike another reviewer, our food was pretty good. Our group ordered burgers, ruebens and salads. While the staff was friendly, service was slow. The sodas tasted watered down, and the water glasses had particles in the bottom. This place has obviously been in business for many years. The facility is very run down and not especially clean. While it would seem to have great potential, without a much needed substantial update, I could not recommend it. The hand written tab was difficult to verify. All things considered, this place is not a good value.
Quick and friendly service to get the morning going. We thought it would be nicer, fresh made food based on reviews/photos but it felt like simple diner food. Disappointed to order the crab benedict and receive long strips of frozen imitation crab. Would go back and stick to the more classic diner food options. Not too bad cost wise compared to the city, $35 plus tip for two.
Stopped for lunch. We ordered iced tea and it tasted soapy/stale. The waitress replaced it and comped us two cokes. We ordered fried clams and scallops- they were tasty but portions were small. A side of Cole slaw was served in a small plastic cup and was literally two bites. We ate on the dog friendly rear deck overlooking the canal (we had our dog with us) and they were very dog friendly. Things (carpet, etc) were a little shabby. Overall gave the impression of a place that is past its prime. It’s also pricey for what you get.
Nice view BUT, dirty restroom and bad bee problem on outside patio...food was fast and doable,BUT over priced,,do not think we will return...
I had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which was decent, also had fried Calamari and it was like chewing on a rubberband. Large rings and NO Tenticals ....Cocktail sauce or whatever it was bland and, well just bland. Wife had a Tuna Fish on a English muffin..Tuna definitely had a different flavor along with Clam chowder that was just okay..Wasn't horrible but probably won't go back anytime soon. Older gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and service was fine. I will say we were in and out quickly, but we were the only 2 people in the place...
Quite expensive prices for small amounts of food. For the prices of the meals, I expected it to be a bit more upscale. The waitress was wearing Tshirt and jeans pretty much.
You can tell that the place has seen better days. It's from the 70's, and it looks like the owner has no interest in keeping it up any more. Look into the corners for the dust and grime (like the electrical power strip at the end of the bar, covered in black caked-on dirt). Even the menus are cracked, tired, and faded. It seemed like morale there had walked out the door and left for good. And the food was...average. And overpriced maybe, but that's not unusual anywhere these days, right? The best part of our meal was the server, who did a great job (thank you!) with what she had to work with.
Hit or miss? This time the coffee was stale, weak and uh. The eggs benedict were not as good, the buttered muffins were soggy, the ham was dry and tough, the poached eggs were almost hard boiled, and the hollandaise sauce was just two spoon fulls but tasty. Order unbuttered muffins, ask for extra sauce, skip the coffee. Great brunch place on river. Excellent egg benedict and other egg options. Nice views, not too crowded, fast service but courteous. No rush. Sit and enjoy.
Such a lovely atmosphere! Sitting by the small canal was the best. It's great that this place is also dog-friendly. I couldn't help but feel that the portion is a little small. And it's a pity that they only have normal coffee (no latte and all kinds of options). Anyway, the service was moderately good and I love the ambiance here, including its indoor decoration. Although the food isn't the best I've had in Ithaca, I'd love to come back to be in this atmosphere.
Went for lunch yesterday. Ordered Little Neck Clams. The clams were full of sand and way overcooked. This is supposed to be a seafood themed restaurant, so they should know to purge the clams before cooking. In this case, the clams must have been frozen. That was probably why they were like chewing gum. I have Ulcerative Colitis, and today I have diarrhea from the irritation caused by the sand. If you have IBD or digestive issues, avoid the clams.
I love to support all local businesses and this appeared to be another great one, especially with the location. Owner refused to prepare a chicken sandwich with lettuce. We asked for refills on ice teas and were not told each refill came with a $4.00 fee. I’m sorry but this is insulting and will guarantee a never to return for myself and my friends. Beware of this greed driven restaurant.
Food was fair at best. We asked for our food to be very well done & it wasn't. The bill wasn't itemized, so we thought we were being overcharged, but we weren't. It needs a good cleaning - cobwebs everywhere & dust. Water stains on some of the pictures makes you wonder if there has been some kind of water damage in the building. The propane heater & propane tank in the dining room were a nice addition, not! When the front/dining area looks like this, makes you wonder what the back/kitchen looks like!!!
I went here for breakfast and dinner, on separate occasions. It was not a clean place. Very neglected. Could tell it wasn't properly staffed either. The food was not cooked consistently and my water glass and coffee mug were dirty. The cook was also our server and not friendly about getting me clean dishes. The prices for breakfast were okay, but dinner prices were far too expensive. Service was very slow and unprofessional. I don't enjoy writing a negative review, but others should know there are cleaner and tastier places to eat in Ithaca. Overall, it feels like the owners don't take a lot of pride in their establishment.
Food was horrible!!! Onion rings and mozzarella sticks were good. Server was great. Everything else, horrible. My boyfriend’s dinner: Steak and scallops - starts at $27...upgrade to 12oz steak so we’re talking probably over $30 now...steak was probably the size of my hand and very thin, definitely not 12oz and overcooked. My dinner: Shrimp Alfredo - $20.75. Now this Alfredo was very watery, Cold, and tasted like it came from one of those store bought jars! Worst Alfredo I’ve ever had. These meals were not worth the prices we paid for them. Oh and 2 margaritas both had fruit flies in them! Not going back!
This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately missed the mark on the food. We had the catfish, the shrimp Alfredo, calamari and pecan pie totaling a whopping $90 check. For that price, I expect flawless food. The lettuce was wilty and old. The serving sizes for the meals were small, including just 6 pieces of calamari. It was tasty, but for the price definitely not adequate. The catfish was bland and soggy and the shrimp Alfredo very soupy and bland. The pecan pie was clearly frozen and very cold in the middle. The wait staff is sweet though. Unfortunately we likely won't come again.
Service was good. Waitress was nice but the seafood was super underwhelming and sub par. The spinach salad and Pina Colada were the best part of the dinner. Also there were more fruit flies than people in the restaurant.
We were looking forward to trying a new restaurant in Ithaca for brunch. It was disappointing. Grimy atmosphere, at least on the inside, and not in a greasy spoon way- probably better to sit out by the river when it's nice out. Food was quite pricey, yet was lacking in both quantity and quality. Not necessarily bad service but lazy and kind of weird, especially given that almost no one else was there. I don't think I'm terribly hard to please, but I would not recommend this place for breakfast or brunch especially when there are a lot of other pretty decent and reasonably priced places in town.
It's an interesting location, but I suggest you skip it. Part dank bar, part indoor restaurant, part outdoor waters edge dining. Service was friendly, but misleading. Prices are above average to ridiculous. Regarding the misleading service, the waitress who I suspect may have been the owner, made what felt like a kind offer for our 9 year old son, who inquired if he could get a cinnamon roll as a side with his eggs instead of toast. She told him yes, and acted kind of cutesy about it, encouraging him to get it. My wife and I were a little surprised but assumed it was someone being nice to a child, as does tend to happen. Nope, not it. She was just encouraging him to rack up the bill. To start, his 2 eggs cost 8.50. Yes, just 2 eggs!! No potatoes, no cheese, and apparently no toast either. Just 2 eggs on a plate. Then we were hit with $4 for the cinnamon roll. This honestly felt predatory, but we hadn't thoroughly investigated the details of his choices so we paid it. Turns out, even though the prices on the menu are plenty high enough for you to easily assume the cost represents platters, much of the menu is ala carte. I got a "jumbo bacon burger platter" that came with potato wedges. Thr burger was wholly unimpressive in quality, and not what I would call jumbo, but not small and a sufficient amount of food for $14.95. My wife got an omelet for $12, which again came with nothing. She ordered an english muffin, thinking it was included, but when it showed up late (omelet finished) and the waitress voluntarily made it "on the house", this clued us in to the fact it was an extra as well. The water tastes like it is coming directly out of the creek in back, so get yourself something else if you can. All in all, I am a value oriented person that is willing to pay for quality and/or quantity, but this place falls very short by massively overcharging for the quality or quantity they are serving. I don't see going back again, although the outdoor dining is a pleasant spot.
Service wasn't great. Chicken Alfredo was not too good, scallops were not good either. Definitely too expensive for the quality. I will not go back to this place. We did enjoy the seating near the canal.
This place could be nice for eating out side, but if you get stuck inside due to rain or anything, it is exceedingly unpleasant. There is no air conditioning, so they have a big floor fan going that makes it like trying to talk next to a plane that’s taking off. They won’t turn off the fan, so don’t bother asking.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We sat down and they looked at us like we shouldn’t have even walked in (which in hindsight, we shouldn’t have). We got entree salads that came on a side plate. The lettuce was dirty, the cucumbers were 100 years old and the chicken was very obv frozen bagged grilled chicken. The side of fries were extremely expensive for 10 fries. Overall, bad experience, save yourself some money and choose elsewhere. I hope they can improve their business in the future.
My experience was absolutely horrible! The sautéed mushrooms were soaking in butter and red wine(nasty), the calamari was freezer burnt and bland, I ordered the 38 dollar seafood platter and it was bland and not worth the money at all! I asked for a frozen margarita and it definitely was not that!! My husband brought me out there for Mother’s Day and it was horrible!
They charged me $70 for two breakfast meals. Which did not reflect their menu prices but I decided not to argue with them. Paid. No tip and left
Would give this place a half star if I could. My wife told me her open faced NY strip sandwich had no seasoning, was way overcooked, and had what looked to be a Kraft single cheese slice on top. My burger was not much better. While our waitress was polite, we had to figure that she was having an extremely bad day due to her service. We would not recommend this place. One positive note, our waitress did warn us about the price of the snow crab legs. She said the price was ridiculously high due to market price, and saved us money.
The location is seemingly nice, on the base of lake Cayuga. Unfortunately our dining experience was overshadowed by poor customer service, and subpar food. The waitress was very rude, and did not make us feel welcome. The crayons that were brought out to the kids had been chewed on by mice, and there was mice poop in the crayon box, disgusting! The kitchen brought out an order with a food that we had said there was a restriction to. Upon notifying the wait staff, she simply only took it off the bill. Come to find out she had actually still left it on the ticket and just said she would take it off. The food wasn’t great, the staff seemed to be in a poor mood, making it an unfavorable dining experience.
Found dried egg on my fork, a big hair in my salad and the food looked and tasted like it came out from under a heat lamp. Would not recommend
We definitely should’ve known when we walked in on a Friday night and it was empty. They charged us market price for frozen steak and lobster and microwaved breadsticks. The best part about dinner was the bottle of red cat. Definitely wouldn’t come back and should’ve believed the other Google reviews!
We stopped here on our way home from a long trip. Wanted to try a local place.. the ONLY nice thing about it was that you could sit outside by the water.. everything needed a good deep cleaning! When you walked in it was empty and the only waitress was sitting at the bar. She didn't even get up to seat us just told us to grab a menu and go sit whenever. We ordered shrimp alfredo, linguini with clam sauce and child's pasta. The bread stick that came with the child's pasta was so hard it didn't even break when hit on the table so that was thrown to the ducks in the water. The price for the dinners was outrageous for the serving we received. All 3 of the pasta dishes were gross. You can tell it was canned clams, warmed up shrimp in watery sauce that probably came out of a can and watered down. After our meals were delivered we never saw the waitress again until we were walking out and she was again perched at the bar.. the place was still empty. She then asked how everything was.. I told her how it was and she looked at me said sorry and took my credit card.. the only person I would recommend this place to is Gordon Ramsey for kitchen nightmares!!!
After much unnecessary negotiation for seating, our party of 6 was sat down on a dirty table, which despite asking for it to be cleaned was not done. Long wait times for food, and service was horrendous. Waiter was rude when we asked questions about the menu. After we decided not to tip, she asked whether we were going to tip and proceeded to stand there until we did so. The food was middling. Would not recommend coming here at all for its poor service.
Had breakfast there this morning. Menu said coffee included kne free refill The first cup was maybe 3/4 full since I wanted cream. Fine. I asked for more during my average tasting omelet. It was barely half full. I figured Fine, it's free. When I asked for the check the guy just tells me how much. After I paid I realized I was charged for the 2nd coffee. Plus he never asked if I wanted change. Only 0.21 but still.... I was going to leave a tip but the 2nd cup paid for was the tip
Did not eat . We sat down after getting our own menus . Upon opening the menu there. Were bugs in the fold of the menu . My husband told the waitress and we left .
I AM SO VERY UPSET with Kelly’s Dockside. My daughter and I went there for lunch today. We ordered Greek salads and a.couple of drinks and shrimp cocktail which were all good (although maybe a smaller portion than normal. HOWEVER, I ordered takeout of clam strips. Unfortunately I did not check before leaving. My granddaughter said there were four clam strips and they were terrible 😡 It was not an inexpensive lunch. I immediately called Kelly’s upon return home and explained the situation and offered to send photo. He accused us of eating half of the order and then taking photo (which he did not want to see). I asked if he would comp that meal with a gift certificate and he refused 🤬 therefore, as much as I enjoy the deck you have lost my business. BEWARE!
This place is has bugs crawling everywhere !!!cockroaches !!!! And tons of bugs!!! Do not go here. I ended up puking and freaking out once I saw how many bugs!!! This place is covered!! I am in shock and cannot believe what I have just seen!!! Absolutely terrible!!
I can't even comment about the food. It was impossible to get any. They took a really long time to take our order and then never delivered any food despite asking for it several times. We did manage to get drinks. A flat Coke and a tasteless Bloody Mary. My suggestion is not to come here. I've had slow service but to never get our order was just ridiculous.
I hate to be one of those people but we ordered the Beef Taco Salad and the French Dip - the taco salad bowl was incredibly cold (not fresh at all), 3 to 4 pieces of meat and something was off about the taste, like something had been sitting out too long and went bad. The French Dip tasted incredibly odd too - the sandwich tasted weird and wasn't even really a sandwich, more or less like steak-ums on a bun (literally came with nothing else on it). The "au-jus" that came alongside it tasted like leftover grease and incredibly salty. We did notify them but it seems they just brushed it off. Also when we first got there, the cup that was on my placement had a sticky rim - I noticed the cup that came with our coke had the same issue. It is also incredibly dirty and has not been cleaned in a long time. Would not recommend.
(I had to hit some stars to get it to let me leave it review.) It seems that this venue is closed, even though the website is still active. None of the phone numbers work, as well as the link to Facebook work, but the website is there and this exists… just fyi.
I ordered eggs benedict for a quick pickup breakfast, and have never been more disappointed in $20 spent. I asked for extra hollandaise sauce - didn't get it. When I asked the cook to put more on he was rude and said he "already did" refusing to accomodate the request. Turns out the hollandaise sauce couldn't even be considered such as bad as it was. Bland, broken, flavors completely missing, watery, and had been sitting out on a counter for God knows how long. Both of my "poached" eggs were boiled through. The giant piece of ham across both English muffins necessitated the destruction of the stacks; It was soured and I 100% believe it was past due for disposal. English muffins were wet, not even from the sauce but because they were untoasted and moist likely from being frozen previously, and the tiny portion of homefries was the single most mind-bendingly stingy I have ever been served in my life. They're charging almost Milkstand prices for garbage food, poor service, and the sanitation is questionable at best as the cook grabs literally everything with his bare hands. Such a shame someone whose pride seems to be having done that job for so many years doesn't care at all about customer service or experience. Not a single nice or positive thing was said through his scowl. Time for him to give it up and retire. 0/10, this place is past-due to go out of business after all these years of poorly food 👎🏼
I came here with my family yesterday and one of the workers just told us to be seated outside. After waiting approximately 25 minutes and unsuccessfully trying to get the attention of three waiters who served other people that came in after us, we left. We went to a nearby restaurant called Ole, Ole, and had a phenomenal meal. I guess it was for the best.
By far, one of the more bizarre dining experiences I have ever had. Nothing spectacular about the food (which took a long time to get (even ordering took too much time)), but the service (friendly waiter who would announce meals when he brought stuff and people would be raising hands, swapping food, fellow diners sharing laughs and glances) was entertaining. Upon arriving, a man barked at us to take menus and find a seat, while departure was welcome because an older man was gruff and complaining while we were paying. Location is excellent if you are on the canal, but otherwise, hard pass. Will probably not dine here again.
One of the most insane dining experiences I’ve had. Ordering took 20 minutes, the food took 40 minutes and was cold and soggy. Then we found a hair in 2 out of the 4 dishes. Our waitress was like maybe on something?and was loudly fighting other servers. She spilled an entire cup of hot coffee on her hand and the table with no reaction. After all of that we were only offered a 50% discount and was told we would have to “Fight Kelly” if we wanted a full comp. The other waitress who helped us was pretty nice but just like what??? We’ve been coming here regularly for months so it was really disappointing. I’ve never written a review for anything before but I felt like I should.
Don’t let the ambiance fool you!!! What you order is not what you get! The bathroom was dirty and paint chipping off the deck! We came to the area for a adventure and a good meal the only thing I was impressed with was the views. When I mentioned it to the waitress she apologized but lied and said I must have had a old menu they haven’t served prime rib in over 2 years so why charge $48 for a tiny piece of meat. I didn’t believe her so as I was leaving I grabbed a menu and checked it along with the billboard it clearly stated the surf and turf was prime rib but it was a thin overcooked piece of sirloin and the lobster was no good one bite and I had to spit it out it was fowl! My friend had the shrimp scampi it was supposed to be jumbo shrimp over rice! Four small shrimp on a scoop of rice it was like a appetizer. $22.00! You don’t get what you pay for! Very disappointed!
