This place is beautiful. Great environment. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao & Thai Iced Tea dinner combo for $22.95. Thai Iced Tea tasted pretty authentic, not too sweet. The drunken noodles were average. They didn’t ask about the spice level, and it was just mildly spicy. I liked the variety of vegetables in it, but the green beans were a little too raw for me. With tax and tip, it was close to $30. For what you paid for, it was a little bit underwhelming.

Food was great, atmosphere is nice, server was very friendly and polite. However, my wife and I had to initiate every communication. I had to ask for a beer, we had to let him know when we were ready to order because he was at a back table on his phone. Expensive. I understand January is a slow time of year but when there are customers present any server should be attentive and alert. A little training by management in this regard would help. Overall the experience was good, no issues with the food quality or atmosphere.

Very average Thai food restaurant. Serving up the usual items but the flavors were ok and nothing special. Asian restaurants in the Ithaca area are very limited so this would be par for the course for this area.

Stopped by Thai Basil in Ithaca for an early lunch on a chilly 20°F day. I ordered the Som Tum (Papaya Salad), Jungle Curry, and later switched to Green Curry. Here’s the breakdown: ✅ Papaya Salad: Fresh, vibrant, and flavorful—just the right balance of tanginess and spice. A great start to the meal! ❌ Jungle Curry: Unfortunately, this dish was far too salty for my taste. I sent it back, and the staff kindly replaced it with Green Curry. ✅ Green Curry: Creamy and aromatic with tender vegetables and chicken. It definitely redeemed the meal! However, the dining experience overall was a bit underwhelming. The restaurant atmosphere was uncomfortably cold, making it difficult to fully enjoy the meal. Additionally, the staff were not attentive, which left me feeling overlooked during my visit. Would I return? Perhaps for the papaya salad and green curry, but I’d hope for a warmer environment and better service next time.

Ordered two lunch specials and a side. ate in. I was suprised that the portions were so small. Mine tasted fine, hardly any meat but my girlfriend's was really salty. The bill came to twice the value. Left there feeling like i got jipped. 60 dollars for 20 dollars worth of meal.

Probably the least authentic Thai food I've ever had. Normally I wouldn't hold that against an ethnic restaurant except that "authentic" is in their name... The laarb was plain and maybe a level 0.5 spicy. Where was the cilantro? Where are the crushed chili peppers and crushed rice? The pad see ew was caramelly? with super thick grilled flavor. Few greens on it. And the chicken noodle soup was something a 10 year old would have made for his sick mom with no flavors or spice. This seems like a great place for my picky aunt who hates spice and flavors. Otherwise I can't recommend it. Plus one star for the nice decoration.

I am extremely disappointed with the tofu dish that was ordered as a take out that took forever to prepare. The dish had 4 small pieces of 1/2 inch squares of tofu. This is my second and last time eating here.

We had great customer service and our pick up order was ready right on time. However, the portions are wildly small for the amount you pay. Spent $57 for whole orders of yellow curry, chicken pad thai, and wonton soup. No complaints with the yellow curry. The chicken pad thai tasted like seafood and was a side portion. Paid $19 for that. The wonton soup was maybe a cup total with two wontons in it. Paid $19 for that. Totally disappointing “meal” for us.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. They confirmed the order almost immediately. 10 minutes after the delivery window, we called and they clearly hadn't looked at the order. They said they'd take care of it. Another 45 minutes went by and we called. The person said "she called again" to her colleague; they clearly weren't planning on delivering. They finally delivered it 2.5 hours late. It was cold and gross. They won't even answer their phone now.

Decided to give this place another try as I hadn’t been in a while. No wait. Restaurant was cold and we all had to leave our sweatshirts and winter hats on. Server was friendly-initially. This is the most expensive Thai restaurant in town. It’s grossly overpriced for what you’re getting. Do not expect to get anything spicy (despite this being Thai restaurant). Dishes were extremely mild, and had little flavor to them. I got the pineapple curry, and it didn’t have the vegetables in it that were listed in the menu description. For $20+ per dish that is disappointing, to say the least. Portions were such that no one in my party had any leftovers (dinner portions, not the lunch menu). When we wanted to split the check (which we told the server multiple times at the beginning of placing our orders) but they presented us with one bill. When we finally got them to understand we wanted to split the check two ways they were annoyed, and didn’t come back for almost 10 mins. All said and done we were overcharged by $10, but it wasn’t worth mentioning. We just wanted to be done with the place. Do not recommend this restaurant. There’s several other, cheaper, more tasty Thai restaurants in town. We all agreed to never return to this restaurant.

Ordered out to pick up. Clearly asked for no onions, but there were plenty to weed out when we got home. Tempura made with rancid flour and just a gloppy mess. Summer rolls were basically rolled head lettuce with dipping sauce for $20. Small amounts of "protein" were rationed. Some dishes okay, but prices higher than other Thai places... Never again.
