Service was great. Staff was friendly. I ordered fish, cabbage, and rice/peas. Everything was overcooked and bland. I really wanted to love this place. I went in the evening after 730pm. I might try them again earlier in the day when food is hopefully fresher. I just want to give them a chance. Especially since the staff was so warm and friendly

The service is sub par but the patties are very good and the food is good. They are pretty slow in getting you your food! On 2 occasions, one of their staple, the Jamaican beef patties, had very few left which means you would have to stand 1o to 15 minutes before getting the freshly made patties! Poor communication as well

Can't believe their large escovitch chicken and rice and peas is $18, and to make matters worse, it doesn't even taste good smh. Don't know if they have a new chef, but something is off. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This place is very overpriced. I could not believe the prices when I got there. If you want something to drink, it is $7.00. I use to visit here many years ago. I purchased a slice of black cake, and it was stale. I would never buy anything from this Jamaican restaurant again.

This is suppose to be a 2 piece chicken with small salad. Not sure, but it looks like 1 piece to me. The chicken is extremely dry and you can tell it was fried much much earlier in the day. Oh, yeah, it cost $10. Only food I might recommend from this place is steam fish with water crackers, but prepare for a waittt. +parking behind the store with limited metered parking out front. They take cash & credit. Can be seen from a moving vehicle, but on a very busy Avenue. No bathroom for customers that I'm aware of. Not wheelchair accessible various websites offer online ordering for this restaurant but you can also call in you order or place on the spot take a seat and watch TV.

Be careful with this people if you order delivery they can send you soup with little or no meat. One time I order goat head soup it came with no meat only yam potato and dumplings. Now I order chicken soup and they sent very little chicken meat mostly they fill the soup with dumplings potatos and Yam little chicken and on top of that is not like is cheap.

Yesterday 8-4 I did what I normally do on the weekend and that go to Genesis. I ordered Jerk Chicken for myself and Curry Shrimp, needless to say both dishes missed the spot by alot. Im not going to abandon them just yet Genesis you have to do better

This restaurant is one restaurant that I will not be visiting ever again. This is a COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT to the Jamaican culture. The food lacks so many things that I dont even know where to start. I am unsure who's been keeping this place alive, but they are not cooking with intent to have people returning for more. The curry is like a weird gumpy consistency as the gravy sauce which was disturbing to see. The cabbage was absolutely TASTELESS. I most definitely called the store and told them that they need to figure out something FAST before the business goes under. The food is most definitely spicy like someone else had mentioned as well.

The food was very bad and it was so spicy and everything that I bought from them was spicy even and when I open my Mac and cheese this is what it look like and I was so disappointed because it was never like this before. I wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody.

I order a lunch special from them and the food that the delivery guy bring they act as if they’re feeding a dog because it look like dog food in the plate. It did not set up properly. They only deal with specific person special.

It saddens me to write that this place does not even deserve 1 star. I found a plastic glove in my food. Looking at these previous reviews makes me sad to know that this seems to be an option n going issue. Finding a dead roach in a soup is crazy. Eat at your own risk!

This was purchased via Uber Eats and when called to resolve the issue I was told I only want a free food. If that’s your customer service I don’t know how you are in service still. Your ppl need proper training!!! I am truly appalled at me experience.
