Delicious food and great flavors. Can’t beat the prices either. Will definitely add this place to my regular list of orders,
Food is very tasty. Just missing olives and had to pay extra for the beans. Nice customer service. First time and I’m satisfied😀🍴
I'm a Door dash driver and the food is always ready on time! I appreciate you guys making it a smooth transaction when it's hard to find good parking.
Great for what it is, which is homestyle comfort food. I particularly like the oxtail. They take credit cards, but charge a 4% surcharge for that, which what most credit card companies charge the vendor.
Always the best place to eat the people there are nice and and the food is great been going here for 26 years and they never let you down
Good food and price.
Best place in Jamaica Ave for Hispanic food it’s quick and the service is great … good prices !!!
Food tastes great and the prices are amazing for what you get.
This Little spot is the bomb. It's been there for years since my days in highschool. They still produces great food for great price. 😊👍🏾
I go everytime I am in NYC. They give a nice size portion of food. I've had almost everything. You can't go wrong.
Omg the food is so good! Staff is friendly and service is quick. Tried the mangu, roast chicken, rice and beans and pepper steak was super flavorful and fresh. Would go again
Great inexpensive American breakfast with a Spanish flair. Excellent portion for the money. Friendly helpful staff. Love that I can eat in and then be on with my day. I love Jennifer's!
Small restaurant but with a delicious food, you can have a order of mangu ready in less than 10 minutes, prices are reasonable. Call ahead of time to pick up as well.
I've been coming here since I was a teenager. They have always had the best food and they do their best to meet your requests. I love this place ❤️ 💕 ♥️
Good taste, everything fresh
Great for lunch, hot food always ready, great prices, nice staff. Can't ever go wrong here.
Best place to go to get a feeling of bbq Frank's. Prices are great and always busy but very fast. Even have place to sit to eat. It's a must go to if ever downtown area shopping.
You mind as well order from phone and pick it up. Would be the best advice I order over a hour and half ago through Uber eats and let's just say , the restaurant got busy out the blue, the uber driver had to wait and the result was the driver taking more customers. They're a great restaurant, but just know between 11-1pm they get really busy!
The Beef stew is a Must Try!!! If you havebt been going to this place regularly for your dominican food fix then you need to try the Beef stew. Its so flavorful and delicious that you'll be hooked. For the keto babies you can get the beef stew without rice and beans as well. You can basically do any meat without rice and beans and eat it with some cauliflower rice or just by itself. They will also sub out the carbs for their salad. The two guys who I always see there are super nice as well. But if you want the empanadas, go early. I mean early like as soon as they open up. Because by 11/12 they're gone. I've never tried them, but I'm told they're delicious. Its ha ds down better than all the Hispanic places near by. We drive from Flushing for it. Great food made and served by nice people. A must try.
This place has Fresh authentic Spanish food I am never disappointed when I go here. From the salmon to the baked chicken to the yellow rice, everything they serve is so good and And the portions are amazing. Every time I go there the server by the name of Alex is always so helpful and kind. I always go to him when he’s there. He told me he’s been with Jennifer’s for eight years I definitely recommend checking this place out You won’t regret it.
This is the best food in Queens.I ordered a catering fo 15 people with them and it was absolutely fantastic.I order pernil, chicken, steak and rice and salad .Everyone love it. I’ll definitely order again 💖💖💖
This is a small Hispanic restaurant near Jamaica area. I've been eating here for almost 20 years now. I still do at least once a week after work. Their food has always been delicious and freshly prepared. The employees are super friendly. There is limited seating available to dine in.
Delivery.Food arrived hot, well season, freshly cooked and well packaged. Price is well worth it. Enough food to feed extra people if needed.
I work down the block from them, I used to go everyday, now I can get to go every once in a while. However, Ive been going here for years, they are the best in the area. Breakfast sandwiches like bacon, egg and cheese on a roll is the best in the area! Love them. The lunches are over portioned and best priced for those portions. If your on Hillside and Parsons, give them a try!!
always slaps dont ever doubt jennifers
I went to my favorite Spanish Spot today let me be the frist to say it’s not a hole in a wall anymore. Jennifer done step their Game Up and made it Bigger and Better and the Pizza spot that was next door no longer their. Jennifer add on another extension to the establishment. Congratulations Jennifer y’all’s been serving the Community over 3 Decades well Deserved. Food always Fresh and on Point ❤️
One of the best food spots near & around St Johns University. I used to come here as a student & came back recently for a platter that never slacks on the taste. There homemade hot sauce is A1 too!
Wanted something different and familiar at the same time, so I ordered a steak sandwich. OMG is it good! Meat well-cooked, not too tough, price was respectable. Only bad thing I could say is my food wasn't ready when I got inside.
The food here is always amazing. My family has been coming for well over a decade. Everything is delicious and fresh!
tastyyyyyy i eat here frequently & great portions!!! & that chinola(passion fruit) juice is soooo good
The corner of Hillside and Parsons and it is by far the best. The food is always fresh....shout out to the cook or cooks because it is amazing
This place has been around for over 20 years and I still come here regularly. Everything is fresh and delicious. I've even used their catering service before. One of the best places to eat in Queens!
I have been coming to this place for over 10 years the food is always amazing authentic taste like your momma made it . Always crowded and sometimes the line goes all the way outside . Never disappoints and will continue to come here until the day I die because the food is that delicious .
I’m giving 5 stars because of consistency: Over 22 years of coming here and I never leave disappointed. I don’t live in Queens anymore but I’m often traveling out here to visit family, so when I’m in the mood for a filling tasteful meal, Jennifer’s is always an option. And to order pepper steak, yellow rice w/ gandules, red onion, sweet plantain, extra gravy & green hot sauce all for $10 is unbeatable (even if you have a stick). I gladly tipped $2. The chicken soup is really good too. If you get a large ($12) which comes with a small white rice, it’s almost a meal by itself. As for atmosphere, it’s all about food at Jennifer’s so you won’t get ambience; what you get is tight quarters (if there’s eight people inside, it’s cramped and challenging to navigate. There’s also a lot of online order pickups. Jennifer’s is the kind of spot where you have to speak up and act like a local, not a tourist. Staff is extremely friendly. I was surprised when the guy who took my order remembered me ordering a week ago. There is a small counter area with about five barstools, if you want to eat right away. Getting a seat to eat is luck of the draw and since it can get busy, the plates from previous customers may not get removed right away, same for counter and floor. The reason I don’t factor this into rating is because eat in customers are not the target audience. It’s intended to be standing room only, cop & go. Again, it’s the consistency for me—Jennifer’s has delivered good food and great prices for AT LEAST two decades plus and that is deserving of an overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating, even if there are some individual areas that aren’t perfect.
Their food tastes as good as it looks and they have been consistent for 10 years straight since high school. They never miss a beat. Great customer service, delicious food and unbeatable prices. They have the most authentic RD food. Especially Mondays and Thursdays when they make sancocho. Best sancocho I’ve ever had since back in Hato Mayor.
The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review. Atmosphere: The moment you enter this restaurant, you will immediately feel the Latino vibes. I mean, most of their customers are Latinos. You may feel a bit uncomfortable if you have not surrounded yourself with the Latino community. However, do not panic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming when the restaurant is not too busy. If you get there when it's busy, it can be uncomfortable to move around. Service: I have been there twice. If I'm around the area, I will go there again without a problem. You can see the guys taking your order are hard-working people. They are respectful, welcoming, and pay attention to detail. I appreciate them making my saland at that very moment and not picking already chopped vegetables. Make sure to kindly tell them your desired portions of what you're getting. As Latinos, they tend to give you a portion that is considered normal for them. I mean, their portion of rice is normal, compared with other Dominican restaurants that will give you much more 🤣. At busy times, they'll try to take your order asap because they have other people to take care of. So, don't feel like you're being rushed. It is just the way most restaurants function when they are packed with customers. Food: Nothing to complain about so far. I mean, I can only speak about the goat stew and the chicken stew, which are the dishes I have had. They were pretty good, a little better than other Dominican restaurants I have been to. I will be trying something else next time. Prices: Prices are good, considering the portions you get. Not to mention that flavors are also there.
My husband and I walked here from our Airbnb for breakfast and were thoroughly delighted. I ordered mangu con los tres golpes and it did not disappoint. It tasted homemade. My husband ordered the western omelette hero and added potatoes, which he liked. The coffee was made perfectly. Needless to say, the next time I'm in N.Y I'm totally stopping here!
Local Dominican restaurant at good prices. My go to for dinner or sometimes lunch on the weekends. They are fast and friendly and offer a wide variety of dishes.
One of my favorites to eat at, good food and prices. Be warned they do have their "off" days that things aren't as good as usual.
Est. 1994 Layout/atmosphere *Dominican luncheonette (steam trays); small counter area with stools for dine-in Service *Quick Food/drink *Chicharron de pollo with white rice & beans = Good; crispy but not greasy *NO pernil
The guys are friendly and the food is good, just make sure they don't sell you warmed reheated up pork meat... lets say I was very disappointed because previously, they made it perfectly...so I'm giving them a 4 star...
The food here is great!!! However, no AC, it was hot and uncomfortable dining inside. The place looks like it needs some renovation. But i cant emphasize enough of the fact that the food is great. If you want real authentic dominican flavored food, eat at Jennifer's.
I order from here often as it is one of the few places in this Hillside : Jamaica area with an Grade A Health inspection... although this is not authentic Dominican food, the breakfast is good and I stick to the chicken chunks or backed chicken with white rice and no beans. I’ve tried the other dishes such as, stew beef, pepper steak and stew chicken .. but they all carry the same onion and pepper taste. The service is quick and again .. breakfast here is great and the coffee is good. I’ll give it 4 stars because of the Health Inspection, Service, and Breakfast being my favorite. But there is room for improvement within the flavors of the food for sure.
Very lovely little spot to stop in and get you something to eat,I'm about to bust down my food from Jennifer's and I'll let y'all know what I think about they food. I ordered the pepper steak with yellow rice & beans. Okay people the food from Jennifer's was extra good, and I devour every last drop to my soul.
It's not the best Dominican spot I've been to but it's not bad. Place inside is narrow but enough seating for maybe 10 people. Options were limited or at least there wasn't much to choose from compared to other spots so I just got the Chicken Stew w/ Yellow Rice and Red Beans. It was a bit on the salty side but it was edible. The one good plus is that the food is reasonably priced. What I got plus a soda came up to $12 so for what it's worth, it's a solid cheap eat area.
Small place to eat in. But the food is just as tasty as I remember. I found this place when I was in High School over 25 years ago. Stopped by yesterday & it was filling and delicious. Had the White Rice & Beans, Onions, and Pernil (Roast Pork) make sure you ask for extra gravy and that green sauce, I also bought a Avocado 🥑 to add on top.
Very good Dominican restaurant and a step above the typical Dominican fare you'll find. The flavors are definitely reminiscent of old school Caribbean Latino cooking, and the price point reflects that. More importantly restaurants such as these are institutions that need to be protected and cherished. A small critique is that the maduros were not very ripe when we received them and the cebolla on our bistec was a little under cooked. But the seasoning and food is on point. Their Arroz con gandules are flavorful and pernil very well seasoned.
Been ordering from here over the past 4 years, food is always good but usually late.
Today I had the Pernil with arroz con gandules and beans, it wasn't very good today, no taste in the meat, and the sides taste a little burnt, like maybe I got the bottom of the rice. I've eaten there before and had the yellow rice and stew chicken, and I enjoyed that dish immensely, I don't know what happened with what I ate today, but I guess a cook can have an off day. Located on the corner of Hillside ave. and Parsons Blvd, cash or credit accepted, trains, buses, all stop at this intersection in Queens. They cater too. A very small place, but they have a few chairs if you wish to eat in instead of ordering for take out or delivery.
It's a take out restaurant with a wide selection of food. Our roasted chicken was ok, a bit dry and needed seasoning. The steak and onions was awesome though, and the beans/rice tasted authentic. Good prices, we'd come again.
Update called me a hour and 20 minutes after my order was placed to tell me no more mangu . Second time ordering , referred from neighborhood and waiting an hour for food I was told would be ready in 30 mins is insane. The food is ok, in Brooklyn I’ve tasted this better unfortunately this is the only Spanish restaurant in the area that has employees who understand English. Smh. So I either wait and hour for food or get my breakfast from Brooklyn smh. Insane if you ask me. And this is the second time.
I was so excited when I saw them come up on Uber eats, so ordered for delivery. I had ate here before and the stewed chicken and rice and beans were really good. Well I ordered the pernil and rice and peas. I didn't like it as it was pretty flavorless and bland same with the tostones. I know the food here is usually good so might have been an off day? I'm not deterred from coming here as I know there is good food, just disliked what I happened to order. The maduros were good tho! 👍
Growing up I used to go to this location with my brother very often the food is always amazing but the surface isn’t the best talkative with certain customers and sometimes not hold up the line. I was waiting there for over 10 minutes to get a plate of food from steam table. and there was only one Customer when I came in it should be way faster. I will say the atmosphere there isn’t the best everybody sitting. There seems to be in a rush or sometimes they just look very angry apart from that the food is amazing I will say try to buy takeout or order for delivery instead so you don’t have to go through that.
There food was good and affordable, but now they keep raising there prices. There are many cheaper options for the same kind of food around the area.
Hate to leave a bad review but had the worst service. Placed a big order and the cashier was awfully rude to me cus my card had declined, anyways came back and payed cash and still waited over an hour for the food and later they tried to play nice like common now keep the same energy.🤦🏽♀️
The food is great, it's just feels like one person in particular is always trying to get you for the most he can, and what is this 4% surcharge for credit card payments...That's gonna keep a lot of folks away!
Here's a clearer and more structured rewrite of your review: --- Parking is a nightmare—it’s located between two bus stops with no designated parking spots. The place itself is small and chaotic. There are two windows for payments, but to place your order, you have to talk through a tiny crack in the partition covering the food, which feels unsanitary. Adding to the chaos, people were eating at the checkout counters, with coffee and plates of food, so I had to awkwardly reach over them to pay. When I asked someone to move so I could pay, it didn’t help. Instead, the guy had to take me to the other counter, going back and forth unnecessarily. While checking out, I kept glancing out the window to make sure my car was okay since I had just quickly parked. This clearly annoyed the staff member, who snapped at me and said, "I don’t care," while fiddling with the credit card machine. His attitude was unprofessional and rude. When I asked about empanadas, he said chicken ones were coming soon if I wanted to wait. I declined and asked about other flavors. He initially said no, but then suddenly found two chicken empanadas and asked if I wanted them. Of course, I said yes, but the miscommunication and attitude throughout were exhausting. The empanadas themselves were okay, but they didn’t come with proper empanada sauce—just ketchup. The chicken soup I ordered was decent and came with more chicken than I’ve gotten in delivery orders, which usually only include broth and a bunch of potatoes. However, it felt like they were skimping intentionally on delivery orders compared to in-person service. This was my first time visiting in person after ordering delivery previously, and now I see why I once found a black hair in my food. The environment is disorganized and unsanitary. Between the lack of parking, chaotic setup, rude staff, and overall stressful experience, I won’t be going back. They’re lucky I even gave them a chance.
1st time ordering from here and I was so disappointed. The chiccarones was undercooked and the arroz moro gandules fell flat. The plantains were overcooked! Here i am retrying my chicken...smh.
portion size is good but don't order the stew chicken. they don't know how to make it. Taste terrible
Second time i've been here to try the beef empanadas and the lady tells me that they don't have them. I even asked if they can make a new batch and they said no. Why put it on the menu if you never have them? Why can't you make them fresh?
I ordered mangu from this restaurant and a foreign object was in my food. When your serving food to people you have to be very careful. You have to check your food before you eat because This can be a health hazard. Will not eat at this place again.
I was there last night for delivery and only two workers on duty and with no gloves or masks and place was crowded and no social distancing was in place . Customers were very close to workers unbelievable!!! I left in disgust and avoid this place at all costs .Big focus for infection !!!!
What a shame. This restaurant used to have delicious food. They must have hired new cooks cuz the food was tasteless. No flavor at all
Take one hour to make my food, it's horrible cause find parking impossible.
The place is no Dominican the people is Mexican and the fooo very bad the chicken empanada was bad mix with chicken and potato , I was working and rest but I never see something like that
First time delivery through grubhub and they got my order wrong and in top of that the cake that I ordered had mold on it!!! i called to have it exchanged and they refused. The sweet plantains also tasted old as well! Never order from here I know I won't!
There is nothing "Dominican" about the food except for the name. When you walk in, you'll notice no Dominicans there, but other Hispanics and American people - already a bad sign. The chicken mofongo was HORRIBLE. I don't use the word lightly but seriously, I've never had anything like it. Someone else also had the mofongo, it had the same rancid taste as mine. The steak was flavorless and dry. I have no clue how this place got such good reviews, but take it from a Dominican and avoid this place.
I placed an order on DoorDash today 2/17/19. I ordered goat, rice and beans and tripe soup. When I received the food, the goat, rice and beans were all together in one plate. The rice was already soggy because of the beans and the sauce from the goat. Who did you think it was for? Not even my dog eats her food like that! When I called the restaurant to complaint, the guy that picked up the phone (was not Dominican btw) said I needed to specify I wanted my food in separate containers and that he can't do anything at this point. He was not willing to assist my concern in anyway. I DID NOT KNOW I had to specify that because it only makes sense to put everything separately. I had to throw it in the garbage because the food was so nasty and it was not Dominican at all. The tripe soup was also horrible and didn't taste like nothing but salt. Be more delicate when cooking and serving people's food and pay attention to our concerns becase we are the reason you guys are still operating. Thank you for nothing!
The quality of the Cuban sandwich has gone down severely! Barely any meat in it! Never again! 👎🏿 You lost a long time customer!
I am Dominican, and trust me when I tell you.. the food is not good at all. I was excited bc there are not many Dominican restaurants (that I know of) I actually came from the Kew Gardens.. anyway, please don’t judge Dominican food based on this. The servers are not even Dominicans...
Dingy, dirty hole in the wall. Seems as though if you don't speak Spanish, you don't get acknowledged, and you get brushed off. Rude staff. You shouldn't have to wait almost 15 minutes for an order that was called in while people walk in and get immediate service.
I'm a big believer on CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATHUENTICITY. why do I say this? Because I have ordered from here for a couple of years and Yes I have gotten bad plates not fresh or forgetting items, and I still ordered from here to give chances. I like to support local businesses but as of today 11/25/19 I will NO LONGER SUPPORT OR FUND THIS BUSINESS . I placed my order over phone as I usually do, and my significant other went to go pick if up as he normally does. When my significant other arrived and asked for order the "OWNERS SON" told him he cannot give him the order because he has losses at the job with stolen credit cards/debit cards whatnot. First of all you represent visa, master card, on your front door correct? If your protocol is to Treat your customers like theives over 90$ failure from your behalf that sound like a PERSONAL MATTERMATTER. your failure to do proper protocol should not result in customers being questioned and integrated when their hungry especially. So thanks to the OWNERS SON FOR LEAVING A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH LITERALLY!!! P.S YOUR BAD FOR BUSINESS
I ordered rotisserie chicken rice and peas and tostones and everything was dry. It Made me have heart burn.
Had a horrible experience. I stood in line with my 3 year old waiting to order food. They let 4 people that they knew from the neighborhood go right in front without saying a word. Very rude. They I say something and they reply. Do you want something or not. I would never recommend anyone eat here if your not from there country or they know you!
The food is not that bad. My issue was that they charged me twice for the overpriced thanksgiving dinner last year. I spoke to the restaurant I also spoke to uber eats and still this year in January they charged me for the same meal twice. The restaurant does not care about the people just people’s money. Have not and will not order from them again
Delivery service the worst takes hours just to deliver some food since they only have 1 delivery guy!!!! Don’t waste your time and if you want some good Dominican food with fast delivery order from EL REY a couple blocks down
Honeslty I pass by here everyday and it always seemed so busy so I decided to try it. If you don't speak Spanish you don't really feel comfortable here. I felt rushed because it was so busy. Very tight space. I had the stew chicken dude gave me two giant legs tasted below average at best. I also ordered the fry chicken super over done and dry. Sorry but will not be coming back
Used to love the food here until yesterday. I have a feeling the chef was smoking before he made my order because my food smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (not the packaging, it was the food itself). The beef was over-salted, but the bigger problem was that is tasted very much like a cigarette and I couldn't go more than a few bites without wanting to puke.
I've been a customer of Jennifer for 35 years. In the last year Ive been so dissatisfied with service those guys fix your plate according to how well they know you and if you are a man is plate set fixed one way and woman get another but we may the same. I don't like a restaurant that shake the spoon, how you going to shake rice off, it's freaking rice. I took five fork of food and meat on the plate was gone. Now the other guy pan is be made for king.
Used to love this place as the food was consistently good. Wanted to love this place but the past 3 times I’ve ordered from here, the food hasn’t tasted the same. Just gave it one last shot and placed an order via Uber eats and what a disappointment. Tostones was soggy and not even fried well. They sent me the driest part of the chicken and wasn’t even tasty. Moro rice was very bland. Has management changed? I won’t be ordering from here again. Time to find a new Dominican restaurant
Made an order over a week ago for empanadas, half beef half chicken. To be picked up today and it was suppose to ready at 10am it is now 10:10am I've been waiting patiently the cook decides after 10 mins to tell me He only made beef empanadas...so I tell him why didn't anyone call me to let me know, he gives me an attitude and tells me: "Well we were busy" Thats no way of treating a paying customer! Never again! Smh
Their food is nasty, the people that took my order are not even Dominican? They are Guatemalan, I spent $15.00 on food and threw it all out! It was the nastiest inedible food I've ever tasted! No flavor, I thought I was in the hospital😪 Cuban sandwich was so nasty, no pickles, ham and a heap of nasty no flavor per nil!!! Never again
I don't appreciate it when a restaurant owner forgets to send something to the customer and blames the driver. The owner told me to call the driver that he did put the soda, but the driver didn't have it! This isn't the first time with this restaurant and so this order will be my last. On top of this, the food is bland and unfavorable. Total disappointment! STEER CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE! NO WONDER...they have a 1.7 rating! Ugh, now I know!
This place is the worst Dominican restaurant in NYC. They don’t not wash the chicken (especially in the stew chicken). It tastes like boiled chicken with sazon thrown on top. No depth of flavor or anything. The staff is rude to anyone who is not of Hispanic heritage. Racist. They treat every customer’s request as if it’s problematic or impossible. No consistent pricing either. They charge you whatever and whenever. Please save your stomach acid and head to the Bronx if you want some decent Spanish food. I’ve had this place numerous times in a pinch but I rather just go home and cook.
This restaurant has been around for years but unfortunately the food & service has gone down tremendously. Today I ordered something I ordered two weeks ago & they charged me a dollar more. Luckily it wasn’t for me (because I would’ve walked out) & for a relative who had a taste for it. I won’t be returning.
I’ve come to this restaurant multiple within the last few weeks. I’ve always been respectful when walking in and greeting employees. There’s a Dominican guy and a Mexican guy who are always very kind when serving and asking questions regarding customers food preferences. Then there is this Mexican young lady, short about 5’3 height and black hair. I came to the restaurant recently, stood in line to order(was first in line) and she decided to take order from the person behind me. I asked if she can take my order because I was first and she immediately responded with attitude and said she didn’t see me(even though I’m standing at the very front of the line, under the sign that said “Order Here”.) I told her what I wanted and she rushed to serve me, not knowing that I was in the same place yesterday, and everyday for the past 3-4 weeks. She served my food to go when I always do dine-in. She put rice and as she was ready to pour beans over right I asked if she can please switch so that I can eat inside the way I always do, and she proceeded to pour the beans on top of rice and said “i already started putting it here” and continued to serve the food in the to go plate. At that very moment I was a bit bothered because I did not deserve any attitude from her or anyone, as I never crossed any line of disrespect. Ever since then, every time she sees me, she pretends to do something else, or she looks at me with attitude, as if she doesn’t want to serve me as a customer which is very unprofessional. And it’s not fair because I’m a cash paying customer, always giving tips to have someone like this act so rude for no reason. I will definitely miss this place and the others involved but I will not be coming back because of her. I just do not feel comfortable eating inside and now I have to sometimes wait 10-15 in line because she’s having conversations with another customer or waiting for another employees to attend me.
Very Racist!!! If you’re black they do not want your money!! I walked in and asked for beef stew in their smallest container. The man in a green shirt and red hat showed me the container and said if I get just the beef stew in that containers it’s gonna be $15. I politely walked out because I was not born yesterday walked across the street to the Spanish bakery and still got the same container filled with beef, pork and rice for $6!!Go to the bakery across the street they are nicer and RESPECTFUL OF EVERYONE!
I’ve been going to Jennifer’s for 16 years and today they lost a loyal customer. I ordered a large Mondongo with small white rice. Then I ordered two stew chicken on the side. I saw the server pick up a dirty container that already had gravy in it and put my two chicken in it. I told him the container was dirty he said what are you talking about it was just chicken gravy in it so it’s not dirty and continued to put my two chicken in there. I was in utter shock when I got in the car I inspected the container and you can see that the container was indeed dirty with old crusted gravy on it that had been sitting there a while. Then I went back and he said what happened I said you put my chicken in a dirty container and demanded a container with new chicken. He had an attitude doing it too. He was being so cheap and disgusting and unsanitary that he gave me a dirty container like I was an animal and I always tip 2-4 dollars every time and even tipped 2 dollars this time because I’m so accustomed to doing so. He said my food was 18 I gave him 20. I am so disgusted and will never ever spend my money in that place ever again. The food is always good not going to lie but you have to carefully watch them pack your food. If he was in the back he’d be the kind of person to pick up a chicken that dropped on the floor and put it back in the pot because he’s just that cheap.
