Food is always fresh and delicious, prices are great, and service is wonderful. I call ahead and get it to go.
I called ahead and ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. 1 bacon 1 ham and 1 sausage sandwiches with egg and cheese. The buttery Texas toast was a perfect complement. They felt like they were at least 1 pound each. Also had to order a taco. The bean egg and cheese taco is on point. Thank you Corner Cafe for a tasty quick breakfast!
First time lunch at Corner Cafe in Jarrell on 8/9/2019. Hidden jewel. Country cooking at its best. Big portions, Friendly service, Great food, and Reasonable prices. You can call in order or eat there. If you are traveling or just looking for local country meals, you will not regret stopping there. We will be going back soon. 😃
Best Reuben I've ever had in my ENTIRE life! House made pastrami and thousand island dressing. Wow! Perfectly grilled marbled rye and crunchy sauerkraut. Now, back on my sandwich. Mmmm good.
Super pleased with this cute spot! Food was fresh and delicious, prices were great, and service was top notch. Will be returning very soon. Try the braut burger, you won't regret it!!
It's absolutely perfect diner food. The burgers had a bit of a crispy edge, the fries were not greasy and everything was just perfectly old fashioned.
I came on a Friday around noon, a decent crowd. I ordered the hamburger with bacon and cheese. The burger and fries was worth it for sure, big burger. I like the plain, laid back atmosphere. Affordable prices, awesome food.
Have been several times, never disappointed! Excellent food, good prices.....would never expect it from a hole in the wall cafe in a gas station, but these guys are legit! From the breakfast tacos to anything on the menu for lunch....this place is cranking out some good eats! B-fest tacos, homemade pastrami, the rubens😍, burgers, today was a porkloin special with german tatersalad, mac n cheese casserole and sourkrout.....always on point! Well done guys! You deserve everyone of these stars!
Reminds me of good old fashioned home cooking. I like the daily specials but the menu is loaded with choices. I’m ready to go again.
Good gracious the food we got from the Corner Cafe was absolutely delicious. Portions were satisfying and quality was top notch. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
Toasted bun, made to order, grilled chicken sandwich and farmhouse burger were outstanding!! Huge portion( wish I could leave a photo ). ''Twas one of our favorite food stops between San Antonio and Dallas.
I’ve ONLY had the burgers they are GREAT can’t beat it with some good ol tator tots!! It’s inside a gas station also if hard time finding it.
This is a small 5 table hole in the wall at a gas station. The chicken fried steak dinner is phenomenally good. Nice owner too.
Had the Chicken Fried Steak lunch special on Wednesday couple weeks ago and it was fantastic. Recently tried the Rueben and it was by far the best one I've ever had! Great food!
The only reason they're not rated higher is because of their hours and people who dont understand restaurants. Great food and even better service! A must try in Jarrell
The food is delicious and the staff is kind. Couldn't ask for any better!
It is in a gas station but the service was outstanding and the food was unique and delicious. A Texas flare on German food. Loved it!
Excellent meals! Everything is fresh! Best double meat cheese burger I have had in a long time!!
Had a double cheeseburger...and had hard tume biting it..was huge.. well worth the stop.. been back since this too... and again.. great food..

Excellent home cooked breakfast, perfect diner stop on a long drive. Will be back
Great lunch specials, burgers and sandwiches! Right on the access road of I-35 north in Jarrell.
The pastrami is to die for but you have to go early. Don't forget to order it on a jalapeno bun super delicious!
It was a pleasant surprise for a small cafe off the highway, awesome food and friendly staff would definitely like to try more items on the menu
First of all, it is at a gas station but don't let that fool you. This little gem is a great find. It's small, only 8 tables and they cook stuff one at a time but boy oh boy was it good. We had dinner on a Tuesday. I had a schnitzel burger and he had the brat plate with German potatoes & purple cabbage. Quite possibly the best German potatoes I have ever had. The schnitzel burger was tender & moist with an ausjus to pair. We also had brat fries by mistake but they were super yum as well. We also had dessert- German chocolate cake & cheesecake. The German chocolate cake was light & airy with great flavors. The cheesecake was cheesecake. We will be back to try more stuff for sure.
My first time around I will give it four stars. I stopped by around 5:30 after work. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with sauerkraut, potatoes, and it came with mushroom gravy and Texas toast. The pork chop was incredibly thin as you can see in my second picture. It was seasoned OK, but it was a bit bland for my taste. It was battered perfectly as I’m not a fan of thick batter. The mushroom gravy is wonderful you could probably drink that straight. The sauerkraut and potatoes could’ve used a little bit more seasoning as well. I will be back to try more of their entrées. I don’t wanna give up on them just yet. I was not a fan of the two employees watching videos five feet away from me while was I was trying to relax after a long day of work but I’m sure they were tired from a long day as well. ETA - I went back to get a regular hamburger and it was okay. Not too greasy and the patty could have had more flavor. Their desserts are fabulous. I wish I could remember the two desserts I tried. I will keep giving them a chance. Maybe they just had an off-day. It happens.
As we were driving we had the craving for a juicy hole in the wall burger. I remembered hearing good things about this place from a nearby company and thought hey let's try them out! BOY , we were impressed! The bun was fresh, jalapenos freshly diced and the cheese and jalapeno sauce was hitting!! You definitely have to stop by for a delicious and succulent meal! -Juan
Was in the Jarrell, Texas area for work today, and I asked my customers where I could find a good burger close by. The unanimous answer was “the cafe at the Texas Truck Wash” in a gas station. Looked like a hole in the wall cafe, but glad we tried it!! Bacon Cheeseburger 9/10 - thick and juicy patty with fresh veggies. The bacon was meh, but the burger overall was incredible! Curly Fries 7/10 - slightly crunchy and great flavor. Sweet Tea 5/10 - it’s was decent. Atmosphere 6/10 - no frills, hole in the wall cafe. Service 6.5/10 - it was ok. The staff overall were nice. Definitely recommend this cafe!!
Small place with good breakfast. Wife and I split the avacado & bacon 3 egg omelet and glad we did. It was plenty of food for 2 people. Would definitely eat here again if we are in the area.
Excellent little mom and pop cafe inside the ExxonMobil station in Jarrell, Texas. I love their breakfast tacos and burritos as well as their lunch. Good homemade cooking. The owner Pat is a great guy, and he's also the town mayor. Congratulations to his second term in office !! Get there early for lunch because it gets hella packed . The burgers and fries are to die for, truly Texas style 😋😋😋🍔🍔🍟🍟🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱 !!
This restaurant is hiding in a gas station, only open for lunch on weekdays, and has some of the best food you'll eat anywhere. For example, on Fridays they do a Fried Catfish plate (pic included.) I've ordered it a number of times, and it's the best catfish in central Texas. The hamburgers too are as good as it gets in Central Texas. Every menu item seems to be made with an old timey approach to diner food - where it's fast, tasty, inexpensive, and filling. I drive more than 25 miles one way to eat here, and do so about 6 times a year (would be more if they were open on Saturdays). The staff is friendly, too. Love love LOVE this place.
Don't expect anything fancy! And I don't mean that negatively at all. I had the biggest most delicious omelette I've had in a while. Texas sized food at a Rhode Island sized price. No frills just great food. Nice little gem along the road side.
Best Little Hole In The Wall Ever!!! I Mean Everything I've Ordered Has Been Outstandingly Delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Mr EQ and myself been working at the new middle school in Jarrell. This place is legit! Daily lunch specials, and the Cobb salad is almost to big to finish… prices are better than most!!!
This hidden little gem hands down makes THE best burgers in Jarrell. I almost don’t want to write a review because it is so tiny and can get packed at lunchtime but I will tell you, if you have not tried it before, you should. I have not tried anything else on the menu, but I have ordered the burgers quite a few times and each time consistently delicious.
It’s in an unimpressive environment and tables were a little dirty...probably got there after a rush, but I heard their chicken fried steak was awesome so had a seat...they were out of the special 😕so had their Jalapeño SOS & hubby had Mushroom Swiss w/ bacon burger. I should have taken a pic, they were both huge and delicious! Waiter who was also the cook is super friendly and gave us wonderful service! We will be back!
Now this is some good home cooking here! It was delicious. I had a Reuben. The meat was 😋! My friend had a burger, she said it was excellent! Plenty of food ,and of course ,the price is right!!!
Surprisingly delicious food in a surprising location. I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich with sauerkraut on the side. The sandwich was amazing, the pastrami was perfect. The only change I would make is the mustard. Spicy brown mustard would have been a better choice. But it was great. I’ve never had cooked sauerkraut but it worked. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger and the fries were hot.
At this cafe you get great food at great prices. There friendly also.

Food has always been delicious 😋
It's a gas station dine in but surprisingly good. Very yummy, large portions price was more than fair. Would recommend but the main lady acts like you're in an intimate relationship with her daughter and she very much does not approve for it. But all in all it's a good place to grab some grub.
Attached to a gas station convenience store, there is no “atmosphere” but absolutely quick, convenient, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

DELICIOUS restaurant quality food in a local cafe that is inside a gas station! Ruben sandwich with smoked corned beef. Fresh Cobb Salad with tender, tasty grilled chicken and homemade dressing. VERY generous portions. Enjoyed our meal!
It's one of those places that if you just glance at it, you will be like, "nah I'm going to go someplace else"....BUT this is a hidden gem in a rough building sitting in a dirt lot that is well worth the stop! The burgers are tasty and delicious and cooked just right and the service is spectacular. We are putting a heart on this one and will be stopping here frequently in our travels up and down I-35.
Had the catfish today it was perfectly cooked ! Not a fan of mac and corn maybe a bad day but was like mush! The brown beans were great and fried okra too.

First 2 times was good. Third time we called for breakfast since in google says they’re open at 7 am. We call at 10:30 they said we open at 11 and hang up. We call again at 11:10 we ask about breakfast and they said hey don’t serve breakfast anymore when In your menu you still have it available. Would be nice if you respect or actualice your schedule in google so we don’t have to be guessing what time you’re gonna be open and what do you still sell. We’ve been with g for over 30 minutes to order to find out we can’t get what we want. Definitely loved the food before but customer service is not the best.
This place use to be the absolute best place to stop in and eat. Now they have new cooks who I assume just can’t stand to cook. I’ve stopped in and tried to eat breakfast around 9 am multiple times and have stopped in several times around 130 in the afternoon. Every time I get the same responses from the little Spanish lady for breakfast it’s I’ve stopped cooking breakfast and already started on lunch or I’m not taking any more orders there’s literally no one else in the place. They definitely should hire the old cook to come back. Even the taste of food has gone downhill.
They don’t have the decency or know how to update their hours online. It shows that they’re open at 10:40am on Google. I walked in and the lady, who wasn’t exactly pleasant by any stretch, told me they close at 10 and reopen at 11. Glad I planned my morning trip from Leander to Dallas around this cafe being open.
I have been here several time for both breakfast and lunch. There food is GREAT. So you ask why the ONE STAR? That’s a GOOD question and an easy answer. Today was one of several times I have gone in to eat breakfast and after standing at the counter for several minutes waiting for the owner to come assist me, as she was cooking, here is what happened. They open at 7:00am. I went in at 8:35am. When I tried to order breakfast, she told me she had already started cooking for lunch and was unable to make a breakfast. SAY WHAT???? 8:30AM is BREAKFAST TIME. They had only been open for 1 1/2 hrs and she is no longer cooking breakfast? This is not the first time this has happened. Also, on more than one occasion when I have ordered breakfast she acts like she is doing me a favor by cooking my order, that I am PAYING FOR. I have been told more than once she does not really enjoy cooking omelets. Add in the few times where they are open yet nobody is there because they were driving children to school..... this is not a business. It is a hobby! So, to be totally fair... I give their food flavor a 5 Star Rating. I give their prices a 4 Star Rating. I give their overal appearance a 3 Star Rating (at best, possibly even a 2 Star) and I give their Service and Attitude a 1 STAR RATING. Jarrell needs a REAL Breakfast Place for us to eat at, other than the options currently here!
Meatloaf wasn't cooked was raw in the middle. Tried showing them they told me it was cooked. So ate the potatoes and Mac they were both good.
