I can't say enough about this place. Every one of the ladies at the counter are nice and very friendly. I order from here all the time. The Greek salad is phenomenal. Today, I ordered, but they forgot the grilled chicken. No problem. They made the chicken right away and I came to get it. When I came back to my office, and opened the chicken, it has some special sauce on it. I don't know what it is but DEFINITELY get that sauce!!!!!! The wings are also great!!!!

It was another Tuesday and we were not in the mood to cook and as usual every place you wanted to eat at was closed. We had not been to Romana’s in a year or so and that was a shame because I wish I ate this dish yesterday. She had the Eggplant Parmigiana and I had the Chicken Mediterranean. Her Eggplant dish was very organized and plentiful with nice breading and sauce that tasted wonderful with a bit more finesse and flavor than you would normally expect. You will probably be bringing half home for another delight later. I was going to get the chicken Mediterranean salad and the waitress thought I meant the dinner so I corrected her and she then described the dinner dish and I switched my mind from the dinner salad to this dinner dish. Hands down it is 1 of the very top and best dishes that I have ever had. It Melted in my mouth with an explosion of lemony butter and a hint of white wine which enticed my pallet over and over. Just look at the pictures! I had intended to eat half which in reality you could have eaten a quarter but no way! It was magnificent and cosmic with explosions of well developed textures and flavors. The price is not to be looked at because they could charge more and you would still say wow! this is a lot for the money. Thank you for reading and remember, tell them “some Guy” sent you.

Upon arriving in Johnstown, NY the family owned and operated Romana's Italian Kitchen has been our go-to spot for a family-friendly environment with a home cooked meal that is quick and satisfying. We always walk away with food for the next day - and we are family of SIX! Our kids love the vibe and we love the service. Even if the item we requested (Buffalo chicken calzone) wasn't on the menu - they made it happen! It is a diner and the apps are quick to cook and easy to eat. Are we looking for perfection? No. Are we looking for a place that loves our four kids and serves us well? Yes. It fits the bill for us and we highly recommend it.

A nice old time Italian place. The food and staff are great. I did find the booth meeting a little tight. Depending on the time you come in, there may be a wait.

I have always liked Romana's. The food is always good the service is always good. I have just moved back to the area so I went to see if it was the same as I remember. Yes it was very pleased it has not changed at all over the years. Wonderful place to grab a meal.

Server was nice but that's about it. The salad was wilted and had a couple of bad pieces of lettuce. When it came to the stuffed eggplant. Its just greasy deep fried eggplant peices and covered in canned sauce and cheese. The lasagna was par but pretty loose. Won't be going back.

This was my Ham and Cheese cold sub No mayonaise but i want oil and vinigar I ordered last week,whats wrong with it,there was no lettus,tomato,onion or cheese but lots of mayonaise..I would have brought it right back but didn't want to drive 15 miles to do it.

Food is decent. French fries are consistently over done and taste like the oil is in need of changing… Several weeks ago when we ordered I received a over cooked, half dollar sized “chicken tender” in my order. We shrugged it off figuring it was a one time thing. Fast forward to TODAY and it’s happened again! (See picture) Now I feel obligated to say something about this, no one wants to pay roughly $12 for six pieces of chicken and over cooked fries then receive bottom of the barrel chicken pieces.

Order a white broccoli pizza got ot home and there was no broccoli, called to inform them and they said if I wanted broccoli that was extra. When I ordered i ordered with broccoli ans asked that they do not add ricotta, and she read my order back to me she said with broccoli.

See pic, obviously the salad is sitting out. Food was cold, its frozen then heated up. Canned sysco food, not that homemade Italian, you’re looking for. Update, tried it one more time today. The food was cold again, the salad is wilted from sitting out. There was no Taziki sauce on my gyro. When calling some young girl answers the phone, doesn’t know how to help me. There was no manager available, so they’re supposed to call me back. Let’s see what happens. No call back, nothing.

Ordered a Reuben with fries, take out, got home and opened the box...what I got was a burnt mess!! How can a restaurant box this andvhandvit to someone? Is this how they serve it in their restaurant? Terrible with no response from the staff following my call to tell them of the situation...seems like nobody cares anymore and this restaurant is at the top of the list...think twice about spending your hard earned money at this place
