Honestly don’t think the town would be the same without this place. I’ve never gone here on a good day and I’ve never gone here on a bad day. The only time I’ve ever interacted with an employee was in the drive through for the briefest of moments. I can’t say the food is very good because it is McDonald’s, and I DON’T think I’ve ever left this place with the correct order once in my 20 years of living here. That being said it really brings the town together. You’ll never find a more social area in the town than the local McDonald’s. 5 stars DON’T ever change.

Tonight the place was crazy busy. However the crew was hustling. I was very happy with the service. The shift working around 6:00 p.m deserves a raise. In the midst of the chaos our order was CORRECT. WAY TO GO!!

BEST MCDONALD’S!!! Our order is always fresh, hot, accurate. And believe you me, until this particular location the last time we went to one in another state it was so horrendous we swore to never return to any McDonald’s. It had totally turned us off. About 6 months ago (April 2023) we couldn’t say no to coming here. This place you can dine in. Which is a decision maker for fast food restaurants after COVID. It’s clean. Mouthwatering smell wafting into your nostrils. Ever notice how some people just want something to complain about? Understood that some of these negative reviews are a few years old. But not once have we had less than a stellar experience.

Candy and Mike have gone above and beyond. This location was so busy from 7 -9, when I drove by. We waited 25+ minutes. Got our food after 28 mins. It was cold sadly. The staff are trying so hard to fulfill and satisfy. Friendly and caring yet under staffed for a weekend. I am so grateful for the staff and all their hard work and efforts and hope the best for the whole crew! Thank you for doing all you can.

Omg their food is not sloppy like Greeley's they make their double cheeseburgers very cheesy and well cooked. Good service and the people are so nice.

I used the drive-through, and there were 3 cars ahead of me, which, in 3 minutes, I was at the window to get my order, the polite person asked me if I would pull forward and my order would be ready in a minute or two. This used to bother me, but what I found out was that the wait was well worth it because when I had to wait a minute or two, my food was very hot (something I really like) and delicious.

The Johnstown McDonald's is one of the cleanest I've been to in a while. The food was fresh. The employees are all nice, respectful, and knowledgeable about the food they're serving. BRAVO! 👏👏👏👏

A young man named Mykah was such a breath of fresh air. After wishful thinking for over 13 years one of my orders would be right…it finally happened! Mykah, took my order, was clear, confident, and knowledgeable about his job. Unfortunately the cooks still can’t cook a French fry. Mykah should be in management or at lest your trainer, he deserves it. When people show you who they are, please believe them. Show some appreciation for a good employee!!!!

It is McDonalds, so my expectations are not high. The staff is great , they are friendly and are polite when fixing mistakes. The challenge I have had is frequently at this specific location, whether I order a head online, dine in, or go through the drive through,My order is incorrect. They are always quick to fix it and are always apologetic. It is just frustrating that it happens almost every time. They do keep the place pretty clean, and they are fast when getting your food out.

Where are my pickles!? I ordered 6 double cheeseburgers with no onions, received them with onions, but no pickles. They were very nice and made 6 more. These did not have onions or pickles. Once is a mistake. Twice is just irresponsible.

There is absolutely no service if you go in to eat. It's crazy we've been waiting for 15 min and no food yet. Not to mention I stood at the desk for 5 min and finally grabbed someone on break to help me. Where is the customer service??? Where is the owner or manager? This is not how you run a business.

Took 25minutes for my mobile order. The drive thru had no wait. Terrible customer service wouldn’t even acknowledge how late and slow they were with no apologies. Drive to the one in Loveland it will be faster.

Pulled up with no one in line, ordered a bacon mcdouble and a small drink. Asked for pickles and mayo only on the burger. Burger was made with onions and no bacon. Waited quite some time as well. 5 min plus, which is fine if my order is correct. Called manager and she took care of it. And offered a refund or another meal today or another time. Also the outside of the drive thru window is filthy with ket hup and whatever else all.down the side of the building. Looks like it has never been cleaned since they remodeled who knows when. Both the cashier and attendant handing the food were less than customer service oriented in their greeting etc.

The playground areas temperature was very hot compared to the lobby and register area. The playground tables were dirty and looked like nobody had went in to clean it for a long while. Hope they improve because I do like taking my kids to that location because of the playground.

When I got home, I noticed my bags were missing two of the burgers I had ordered and paid for. I went back to get them, and although they said "I'm sorry" and did not charge me for the missing items, I was disappointed that they didn't offer me any complimentary items or a gift card.

Went there tonight 1/21/25 took my order around 10:15PM very fast pulled up to the second window and was waiting for 10-15 minutes waiting for my food well the lady that is supposed to be working that window just stood around didnt acknowledge me until her co worker told her something didnt say sorry about that or anything. Very unprofessional. The food is cold fries taste old they use to be so good now there gross. Its suppose to be FAST food not SLOW food.

If you're going to order using the app, never do the curbside pickup. Every time I've tried to use it, they take actual ages to get to you. If you use the drive-thru it's quick, but the curbside, the thing that's supposed to be a quicker alternative by ordering ahead, doesn't work. I just waited 20 minutes on the curbside pickup and all I ordered was a single cheeseburger and a six piece nugget. That took them 20 minutes.

I've had a pink Burger from here 2 different times, This morning got a burnt to a crisp and hard Sausage mcmuffin. You are better off going to Is Cassidy sports bar or the brewery in town and getting a better meal for the same damn price.

Ordered online to take to the park with the grandkids. We got there and opened it up to find no napkins, no straw for the shake, no sauces for the kids' chicken nugget happy meals and no toddler toy for the youngest's happy meal. They clearly don't give a hoot about how good of a job they do.

Place was a mess and staff could care less about their customers. We ordered out food w one other family in the dining area and we waited for well over 25 mins for 2 burgers fries and drinks. Cleanliness is not top priority here for sure and staff are not accommodating at all.

I enjoy mc Donald’s food. When it is t messed up from this location. Everyone I go something goes wrong. In the past I door dashed and order and Big Mac with no onion or pickle I hate to say it. It the o my thing I got was onion on it, waited 40 minutes for 4 hot and spicy mc chickens I would’ve left but due to the fact I already payed I waited. It goes on and on. Today I asked my boyfriend to go and get food he came back upset bc he wanted a hot and spicy wrap with the new hot honey wrap meal they said he couldn’t do that so I went to the app and guess what I saw… the EXACT meal he wanted.

I’d give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. We placed an online mobile order for 4 soft drinks. Only 4 soft drinks. Now it’s been 20 minutes and we still haven’t received our order. We went in and asked about the drinks and they said there was nothing they could do because they’re backed up with a bunch of orders. The app already charged our card so we can’t just leave without the items. Over 20 minutes for 4 drinks. Completely unacceptable and a waste of our time and money.

We got two chicken sandwiches and two hamburgers. On the chicken sandwiches we had two bottom buns on one sandwich the other was two top buns. Same with the hamburgers. All you hear is inappropriate stuff coming from the back mostly from younger girls. Will not be back every time it gets worse.

I'm not usually someone who writes bad reviews, but my experience was so bad I had to share. To start, when trying to order two small items +BBQ sauce it took several tries for them to understand my order, then they just went silent for about a minute followed by rudely asking if I'm still there. After having to confirm my two small food items +BBQ multiple times I drove up to the window to receive my food and you guessed it....they forgot my BBQ sauce. So I waited in the same spot next to the drive through window for a full 3-4 minutes while the workers are standing right next to the window. I EVEN made eye contact with one of the workers, so I was just about to physically knock on the window to get another employees attention when finally someone noticed me. When they came to the window, I asked if I can get my BBQ sauce. Then THEY tried to claim that they put some in my bad when clearly there wasn't any BBQ. I wish I could give this McDonalds zero out of five stars because its truly the worst customer service I've ever seen. The sad truth is....they've doubled their prices on lackluster food to cover labor costs and in return the customers are receiving twice as bad of service.

Update: my last visit had a different vibe. Better! Orders ALMOST right. I know they are trying. I also know they are now getting pressure from corporate regional oversight. This. Poor. McDonald's. The remodel sure looks nice. Didn't do ANYTHING for their ability to get an order right. This location has had problems for years with their line running smoothly. Without exaggeration, I have literally never had an order completely correct, and have told the manager so in person (to which she passed off blame to the fact that most employees are under 18... Not a fair or acceptable excuse. This is a leadership issue). When a restaurant struggles this badly with such amazing consistency, it means they have deep rooted structural issues. All the way up to the owner would be my guess. I don't know how they will possibly be able to turn their success around other than by fully firing, hiring/retraining management, and retraining all staff. The problem is in the culture. I'll echo other reviewers and say I have also seen management speak very disrespectfully to staff. All that said, they can totally choose to do nothing about this for the time being, as they have ZERO drive through competition. However, the second there is a fast food alternative, they will feel it. We are all praying for a Wendy's. In the meantime, we're still going to go here, and will just continue to get free replacement orders as needed (which is every time).

This location has the rudest staff I have ever come across in my life. We went by there tonight because it was cheat day and my boyfriend and I were craving a boatload of chicken nuggets. We drove by and the lights were off, we couldn't see any cars in the drive through lanes or parking lot and assumed they were closed. We went elsewhere but googled the McDonald's hours because it was 8pm and normally they're open much later. I called the store to check and when someone answered I asked surprised if they were open. The woman said yes and I then asked her "okay if you're open they why are all the lights off?" The woman yelled at me "Honey I've been here since 5pm I know we are f***ing open don't try this with me" and HUNG UP on me. I called back and spoke to the manager who was nearly as rude. I asked the manager why the lights were off and she explained they were broken. I then asked how people were supposed to know they were open and how that was being communicated and she spoke to me in an aggressive and condescending tone stating "well obviously if there's a line we're open and you should come to the door to check." I'm sorry, but I'm not going to the door when something plainly looks closed. I told the manager there was no reason to speak to me the way she was and when I asked for the franchise owners phone number, she said "it's posted on the door" and hung up on me. This location not only has rude staff that encounter every visit but there is always an item missing from my order and the place is filthy. You would think the franchise owner would take more pride in the cleanliness and customer service provided to patrons who have only two last night fast food options in town. I am thoroughly disgusted by how I was treated. How are we supposed to know you're open when all of your lights are off? How do you let your staff get away with the way they treat customers. I read the reviews before posting this and it seems my problems with this location are not isolated. Never returning to this location

Such a difference between individual McDonald's. The one in Johnstown is just a bit mismanaged. That's the one I go to for lunch lately because my job (construction site) is nearby. Biggest problem most days is that they don't have anyone behind the counter so you can't get your order started. They prioritize drive-thru so the drive thru line is long and it's hard to get your order correct. If you go inside to order you will have to wait. Every time I'm in there people with mobile orders come in mad and say they've been waiting on their car on their order for a long time. Usually, the kiosk is the fastest way to order but today they were not working. Total time in here so far has been about twenty minutes without getting my order. Every day people in the back are super stressed. Blonde manager girl (no nametag, no uniform, Carhartt sweatshirt) is super grumpy every time, to the point of it's rude. Just got my order. It's cold and took 25 minutes to get it.

15 minutes to get through, there was one vehicle in front of me. Fries were cold and the burger didn't have the cheese melted. Register gal was too busy texting on her phone to take my card. For Being Just remodeled....it was more like putting perfume on a pig. The coke soda was good.

Last time I’ll go here…ordered online, waiting curbside for 30 damn minutes finally went inside and food was sitting on the counter, cold and the punk kid would not remake it so I can have a warm meal. They have also double charged us many times, so watch your account these people don’t give a you know what!

Just stopped in for a bite to eat. We tried to find a clean table to sit at, there was none. So I went to the counter where everyone in the back proceeds to avoid acknowledging that there is a customer. The floor in the restaurant is a disaster, food and straws and receipts all over. What a disaster.

Prices keep going up and they barely put any effort into making the food. They also love to skimp out on fries. Order a large fry at $5 and you'll receive a medium amount. This has happened countless times to where I've had to go in and make sure they gave me the proper portions numerous times. Never returning and hope it gets shut down soon!

This is location is the worse I've ever experienced. Ice cream machine has been down during the hottest summer season, never get hot food. I've had to wait many times then the food is cold. Shame on the poor management and ownership.

I have never in my life been treated or talked to by an associate at the Johnstown branch the way I was today!!!! I asked a question about the ice cream machine not working and the the girl was nasty. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager. She told me to go somewhere else for my son's Ice cream and kept going on so I drove off and asked at the next window what her name was. No name badge. No one would tell me her name. She came up to the next window and proceeded to start the conversation again and I asked her to leave me alone and she wouldn't. I finally had enough and had to threaten her that I would call the owner and she finally backed off. I will drive further to get better service.

We've been living in Johnstown for 5yrs and EVERY SINGLE TIME...their ice cream machine was "broken". I know it sucks to clean the machine, but would someone just turn it on?!! Please?!?! The neighborhood is missing out on milkshakes, cones, sundaes and McFlurries!

Takes forever to get an order. Drive thru people have to come inside to get their full order, rude, they do not say hello or have a nice day. Everyone there looks like they don’t want to be there. The worst part? I’m only a door dasher

This location is so frustrating... I have been to 100s of Mcdonald locations, and this one is by far the worst. The fries are never hot, never crispy. The ice cream machine is always down. They have the Grandma's Mcflurry special going on and you can't even order one. I think they need a serious management overhaul and someone who can get the food quality better. I hate to be negative and I love McDonald's but this one is such a disappointment.

Half Employees spend more time talking and gossiping than doing their jobs. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the Employees discussed hair cuts. There were 4 people working. The lady in the back making the food had the food made and there was a guy that was very busy restocking and doing the garbage. He seems to be an asset and a good worker and those 2 were doing well, however the problem was with the two girls bagging and taking orders. Then when you say something about waiting while they are talking about their hair theyvare rude and laugh in your face. Not only lazy unprotected workers bit also very rude. This is a repeating habit and is always an issue every time I come here. I do doordash and pick up from here alot and the issue is always the same!

I usually don't review fast food. You know what you are getting. But these one star reviews are right. My food was fine... but my ice tea had MOLD in it. It tasted funny and I opened it and there was a big black mold spore in it. Probably should clean your ice tea container.

I’m so easy to please that it’s shocking how many times they’ve screwed up by forgetting half of what you paid for. They always always get something wrong each time. Their clearly not trained to check the bags before they give them to you. The management accepts zero accountability. Felt awful for the kid who had to go back in 3 times to get our order because they kept sending him to the car without everything. This was definitely last straw. Time spent waiting for all our food 40 mins no joke.

They turned off the CO2 so we got all sodas with zero carbonation. They didn’t heat up the cinnamon roll even though the box reads: “Caution! Hot!” I watched an employee sneeze into the fry bin, laugh about it with another employee, and then serve those same fries. And they didn’t include multiple items from the order. I honestly don’t think you could have created a worse customer experience even if you tried! It’s kind of impressive to be honest.

Im so sorry but this McDonald's is absolutely not run properly and it sucks because you are the only one in johnstown. The staff has no care in the world, doesn't pay attention to orders and doesn't even know how to ring orders in. I feel even worse for the manager on duty tonight (7/17/25) Leo because he was busting his butt for his workers and all their mistakes, he was respectful and fixed things as it kept coming to him as there were continuous mistakes just in the time I was there and a lot of unhappy customers. He not only needs a raise but a staff who is better trained and honestly deserves to find a better well ran job. This McDonald's needs to better train their staff and really work hard on better work ethic and structure of how things should be ran and actually caring about what they are doing. Because its not fair to the managers who have to take the heat CONSTANTLY because of poor training and lack of structure of their employees And this isn't our first bad experience, 2 just this week happened to us and 3 other bad experiences in the past. The owner needs to step up and take control of their McDonald's and fix it and make it better and actually care. It's sad. Your McDonald's is making johnstown look bad. Leo gets absolutely 5 stars.

What is it with this location undercooking food?? This is the THIRD TIME I have gotten a quarter pounder from this McDonald’s and the meat it red in the middle from being undercooked! Last time I called and was told “ya, you aren’t the first person to complain about that, bring the food back and we will give you a refund” Please fix this!!!

Apparently charging extra for sauce is a choice by the location. Now that this location does this I don’t see the need to give them a break as we have always done in the past.Not only is this the slowest McDonalds I’ve ordered from but they consistently get orders wrong. So many times we have lost count but the most memorable was when we ordered a sausage egg mc muffin and just got the bread.

Dont got to this location. This is the third time they marked my order as "Comeplete" and it was not ready by over 20 minutes. (Which us insane in itself) or they "forgot" it somehow, or i watched it sit on the counter not under any heat for 12 to 14 minutes and then handed me cold food which ended up having an item missing. I wish i was exaggerating.

They always mess up something with my order. And the wait is long. You can get a better burger down the street at Cassidys spots bar. They are family friendly

Food order was correct is the good thing. Burger was without all the condiments that should have been on it. The shake was excellent. What prompted this review was the window pickup person was woefully ignorant on how to interact with someone with a disability. It was appalling. Maybe staff need training in how to provide service. Will avoid this McDonald's!

The worst McDonalds I have ever been to. The management there has no control over their employees. Employees mingling with all the students and hanging around with them in the bathroom vaping. Then we get our order home, and of course, it's our fault for not checking it before we leave, but they forgot one of our 20 peice nuggets. This store is pure chaos.

I placed a mobile order for a hotcakes meal and my hot cakes were missing. I tried to call the store because the app said that I had to do for missing items and I never once caught to a person. It just beeps the entire time and that’s after calling for five times Hopefully they’ll be able to respond here to fix the situation.

The worst part about working night shifts is not the drive home, not the lack of good tv, it’s having to come to the only place open in the small town and getting nothing of what you asked for. Ordering 20 minutes before you get there (and pressing “I’m here”), still waiting for your food, AND your food is wrong. Even getting home to the dog having an accident on the floor is better.

Worst experience ever!! Waited 25 minutes to get a simple breakfast order, then when my food finally came out, it was disappointing, discusting, and all wrong. Workers don’t know what they are doing and were very mean! Never coming back!

Took forever for order just so food can be cold. I order no onion and they scrapped some of the onion off but still had onion flavor and bits of onion. The bun was soggy and broken apart. Asked for no salt on fries so they must have just redipped in oil cause fries were dark and not even fresh crisp. Don't waste your time or money on this establishment cause this happens far to often here.

Ordered a Big Mac with no pickles. They were able to handle putting the no pickle sticker on the box, but it was too hard to actually leave the pickle off the burger. I can’t even eat it because it still tastes like pickle, even after I take them off.

All I wanted were 6 ice creams. That’s it. Should’ve been simple. Instead, I ended up waiting almost 50 minutes, and only 4 showed up — one already melting and dripping all over my hand and the seat. No apology, no update, just a long, weird wait for… basically nothing. It’s honestly wild how something so basic got so messed up. I get that things can get busy, but come on — it’s ice cream. At the very least, someone could’ve let me know what was going on. Super disappointing.

I just went through the drive through 12-11 at 11:45 and asked if they can do a pup cup and offered to pay for it. The little girl asked her manager and she (the manager rolled her eyes and so no! Then walked away. I’ll be sure to tell my entire community about this and they’ll certainly lose some business. So disappointing. My 13 year old long haired chihuahua thinks it’s Starbucks when I go to a drive through. What an awful manager that must be to work for.

I've come here 4 times this last week just for a chocolate milkshake for my sick grandpa. But they keep saying it's broken. The cashier was rude when we mentioned it said it was working online. Double checked McBroken before heading over and it was supposedly working. Not sure if they are just being lazy or if it's really broke. Either way please fix it.

Worst McDonald's in Colorado. Wrong orders, long waits, terrible food. Recent experience, got there at 10:10, mobile order placed. The line was long but I figured they'd accept the mobile order since you can't change it to counter in the app like before. I get to the order screen at 10:38 and they aren't serving breakfast and won't take my mobile order. Now I'm stuck in line and wasted what ended up being almost an hour of my time. This place is terrible.

Went for milkshakes with my boyfriend, waited about 15 minutes in the drive thru to be given melted shakes. I asked for it to be remade and they refused and closed the window on us. Will never frequent this place again. Very rude staff. We asked ahead of time if the ice cream machine was running and they said yes. So either they lied or let it melt while we waited. Bad employees, do not waste your time or money.

I guess Mcflurrys don't have toppings mixed in anymore, there were only crumbs on the top and the rest just vanilla icing. They shorted us two sandwiches that we paid for (I know we should have checked better) and the sandwiches came dry, my Deluxe chicken sandwich had 2 pickes and lettuce on the side of the sandwich. One of the times I went I said Can I have.... and the lady on the intercom literally said "I don't know can you?". I'm all for a joke but when everything else sucks it's hard to find it funny. I don't think I'll be going back and perhaps have finally learned my lesson.

The daytime crew seems to do a pretty good job. During the day, the orders come out correct and quick. However the nighttime service is the complete opposite. The nighttime manager must not care at all. Multiple different times, I have placed a mobile order ahead of time, came to pick it up, was asked to wait at the third window, and ended up waiting over 20 minutes before going inside to ask for my food. Even if you do go at night and get your food in a timely manner there is a very good chance that your order will be wrong. Simply put, if it's after 4pm, I would go anywhere else

We have a pretty limited selection of spots to get a good burger in our small town. So, we opted for mcd's tonight. After waiting in line for longer than it was worth, this is what I found when I made it home. Reg size fries were half full, quarter pounder "deluxe" looks like someone fist fought it, and not pictured but the nuggets look and taste like they were run over by a car. They can't offer me enough free food through their app to go back to this place. This isn't the first time we've gotten horrible quality food from here, just the first time it's been bad enough to leave a review for. Please do better.
