I was in the mood for a lobster roll and saw they had won best lobster roll for over ten straight years. I noticed on the menu that they had Rhode Island Clam Chowder, which I had never tried. The chowder was delicious and did not taste like either New England or Manhattan clam chowder. The lobster rolls are served chilled or Connecticut style. I prefer them warm and ordered the Connecticut style. The lobster roll was worth the hype. There was plenty of delicious lobster meat and the toasted toll held in the melted butter along with the meat. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I went on a Thursday for lunch and they were able to get me a table without waiting. I would definitely recommend reservations if you are going there for dinner.

We were in the area checking out the Loggerhead rescue facility and found this little place. So happy we did, not being from here and not knowing what to expect we walked in and immediately knew we would like the food. The smell of the restaurant was intoxicating (in a good way). Everything we had was delicious. Fish sandwich, lobster roll, manhattan clam chowder and another one I’ve never had which was a clear chicken broth clam chowder. This was a busy lunch spot as every table was taken. We were extremely satisfied with the food and service.

Cute little restaurant. Chowder was excellent. Recommend getting the extra meat for the bisque. Thank you.

Wow! So glad we stopped here! Absolutely the best clam chowder soup I've ever had! Delicious lobster rolls also!!!

I had a chance encounter and had the pleasure of meeting the new owners and they’re wonderful people! They take pride in the quality of their food and everything was absolutely delicious

We had a fantastic meal here and some of the best seafood we've ever had - the kitchen staff knows their stuff! The fried oysters were lightly battered and very fresh. My husband said his bowl of New England Clam Chowder was the best chowder he's ever had (and he lived in New Hampshire for several years). My fish and chips were excellent: two generous pieces of haddock in a light batter served atop crispy French fries with a side of absolutely amazing coleslaw, which was crisp, fresh and had just the right amount of sweetness. The only thing that needs improvement in this place are the CHAIRS! They are teeny-tiny and low to the ground, not really adult-sized. If you're a supermodel or a kid, you're home free. And last but not least, our waitress, Christine, was a delight! Very friendly and professional - how could she not be? She's from Toronto! An A++ dinner - Highly recommend.

This place has the best clam chowder I have ever had and I have had many!!! You can tell it doesn’t sit in a pot all day because the potatoes don’t fall apart like they have sat in heat all day. Really good!!! Oysters were blue points and they were nice and cold. The kids had chicken tenders and fries and the tender were very good and freshly made!! We also had garlic white wine mussel which were amazing!! For dessert we had the apple crisp and peanut butter pie. Everything was great!!! We were in there at about 4pm so it was not busy. Will definitely be back!!

Great little New England eatery. We had lobster rolls both ways, hot and cold. Both were excellent. The Ipswich steamers were huge and delicious. We had our dog with us so we sat outside. They offered a bowl of water and were Christine our waiter, was a friendly as can be. Highly recommend if you're looking for some authentic New England seafood. Try the chowder!

The best seafood I have been to that wasn’t in Maine. The clam chowder and lobster bisque was on point and the lobster rolls and lobster pie were incredible. Glad I was able to stop in and enjoy a slice of home.

Nestled in the heart of Florida near Jupiter, Chowder Heads is more than just a dining destination—it's an experience that transports you straight to the coastal charm of New England. As you step inside, the inviting ambiance, characterized by nautical decor and the unmistakable aroma of fresh seafood, sets the tone for a memorable culinary journey. The place and environment was very welcoming and its was nice and cozy. As for the food, the clam chowder was very delicious, and I never tried clam chowder before. For dinner, I had the Clam Chowder Chili Dog which was amazing! The chili had plenty of meat in it and it was very flavorful. Our server, Holly, was so nice and kind, she brought our drinks right on the spot. She also was kind enough to answer my questions about the items on the menu. She was definitely one of the best waiters I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Overall, an great place to enjoy some clam chowder, seafood, and a warm cozy environment.

Best Beach town food, vibe and service. We arrived for lunch at 11:45am. Seated inside immediately. Server greeted us shortly after. She asked for our drinks and then returned to take our order. Ordered a cup of New England clam chowder and manhattan clam chowder. Both were delicious and fresh. What you would expect from a place named chowderheads. We order main of Cobb salad with lobster meat. It was so huge. I proclaimed it a monster. Every element was fresh and delicious especially the lobster and chunky blue cheese. The other main was fish and chips with cod. My husband proclaimed the best fish and chips (cod) he’s ever had. I snagged a French fry and a bit which I can say I agree. Perfectly crisp and clean fried. Homemade feel. We will be back.

The food was excellent, well worth the drive. My favorite soup is new England clam chowder and this was among the best. Small quant place. Service was good. Would stop in again when in the area.

Favorite restaurant in the Jupiter area! Love getting fresh oysters here and don’t sleep on the hot dog & chili dog. Always have great service when we go and pretty reasonably priced considering the quality of the seafood and the fact that you can get a 1.5 pound lobster here.

A fantastic place to eat delicious, fresh seafood such as lobster, calamari, oysters, scallops, and crab. I had a very good fresh tuna salad on top of the house made Caesar salad. Would definitely come here again for scrumptious food!

I love Chowder Heads! I've been eating lobsta rolls here for years and have enjoyed every single meal! The rolls and clam chowder are truly outstanding! If you close your eyes, you'd swear you were in Maine or Massachusetts!

As expected Chowder Heads New England Clam Chowder was excellent. Great service and lots of northern decor. This fan favorite offers both indoor & outdoor seating too!

J

Better than expected. Being a Newport RI, I find most places in Florida trying to market New England seafood to not come close. Chowder heads got it spot on.

We drive for an hour to enjoy the BEST authentic New England food around South Florida. Lobstah rolls to die for. And, don't miss the gazpacho - it's a must have!

Dinner was delicious! Tried the pan seared scallops with fries, yum yum! We also had New England Clam Chowder, definitely recommend. Outside seating was relaxing and nice! Loved being able to bring my dog. Worth a visit!

Delicious dining experience. I had all you can eat mussels with two sides. Kelly was amazing. Looking forward to my next dining adventure.

We had the crab cakes and lobster roll cold. They were delicious. The crab cakes are big and they have lots of crab, not much fillers. The lobster roll has a lot of lobster on it.

Absolutely fantastic! Chowder Heads in Jupiter is hands down one of the best seafood spots I’ve been to in Florida. The New England clam chowder is the real deal—rich, creamy, and loaded with flavor. The fried clam belly was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The blackened haddock was absolutely unreal. Perfectly seasoned, flaky, and cooked just right. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the kitchen knows what it’s doing. The sangria was fantastic. Refreshing, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the meal. I wish we would’ve had room for dessert, but our bellies were already busting.

Resembles a place you might find at the Cape or on the North Easter seaboard - . The New England clam chowder is outstanding, the Maine Loster Roll was on a perfectly buttered toasted roll and filled with lobster. When i say filled it was filled. The young man who took my take out order couldn't have been more patient and served me with delight. Kudos to you. We will be back and we do recommend.

Highly recommend this place if you enjoy good food in a casual atmosphere. We’ve been passing by this spot for years and finally stopped in. We had chowder, a lobster roll, and Ipswich clams (bellies). I was hesitant about ordering the clams because you can never find good fried clams (bellies), not clam strips, outside of New England. What we had today was perfect—light batter and not greasy. The chowder was made the right way, filled with plenty of clams and red potatoes, not overly thick from too much milk or cream. The lobster roll (cold) was excellent. It was fresh, with the right amount of mayo, served on a toasted split-top bun, just as it should be. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Don’t miss this place if you are in Jupiter.

I’m so glad I found this place! Really homey mom and pop type of feeling inside, but usually around this time of year outside is splendid. The soups are to die for! Every time I come we get the crab cakes (HUGE lumps of crab in there!) and lobster bisque or clam chowder. So so good - highly recommend.

The food was delicious. We took a wrong turn coming back from Jupiter and we were on the island. We drove all the way into Hobe Sound and back tracked 6 miles to get to Chowder Heads just for their clam chowder. The food was delicious

Excellent, friendly service from all the staff. Food was very fresh and well prepared. Fried seafood was light and served hot.

The best New England chowder I ever had ... Even the potatoes were creamy and just the right amount! and finally... An amazing crab cake found in this area!! So much crab and the seasoning is perfect. Don't forget to order a side of the lip smacking creamy coleslaw! I'll be back!

The creamy chowder was better than our previous favorite chowder. The chef and waitress were so friendly, they joined in on our conversations and we enjoyed their conversation. They made us feel like family. We will be back. They had 3 different chowders and all were excellent. Typical charters have a lot of potatoes this chowder a little amount of potatoes to give it the thickening yet it was loaded with clam. We said their ratings did not deserve their quantity. My wife and I rate it as a 5+

Absolutely delicious! Really leans on the New England seafood House. I had the fried oysters and they were tremendous and very fresh. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The New England clam chowder is fantastic. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The lobster roll was good, not great. They load it up with lobster meat but the bun was soggy and this meant eating just the lobster meat. I will go back for the chowder again and again.

Was heading to a Play at the Jupiter Maltz Theater and stopped in for the first time for dinner. Restaurant is lovely inside and outside seating larger groups inside smaller tables outside. My wife and I had the best Breaded Cod ever for dinner. The breading was light and tender and the Cod just melted away onto the fork fresh and flavorful. The Cole Slaw was amazing as was the cornbread and old bay fries. Our friend had the Ipswich clams and loved them and I had a fresh brewed coffee for dessert. The owner Lyndsay stopped by to check on us and our server Des was also wonderful. Don't pass on the opportunity to visit we're 30 minutes away and certainly plan on coming back often.

I brought my family to this charming spot and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent—both the clam chowder and lobster roll were absolutely delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. I’d definitely come back!

Fantastic seafood. The lobster bisque is amazing, it's just satisfying, creamy and well seasoned with tiny bits of lobster. The lobster roll with butter and sherry is incredibly rich and it's a good thing there is a pickle on the side. One of the specials, with mango was found to add a nice refreshing contrast to the lobster. The amount of lobster in the rolls are very generous.

The lobsta bisque is always great, the Lobster rolls good. The haddock Sammie was not good at all, but service is always outstanding here.

Not crowded. Great service. Ordered the lobster bake. OMG! Shared by 2 people and plenty to eat. Claw and 1/2 tail each. Lobster was to die for. Mussels were good too. Didn't like TV e class so much, but my boyfriend ate those.

Great service good food. Place is small but accommodating. New England Clam chowder was good, better than most in Florida. Lots of clams and potatoes.

Came in for lunch on a Monday and were greeted and offered seats at the bar, we asked for a table. Not crowded, we then were shown to a table directly under the takeout pickup counter. Finally we asked how about one of these tables (many open tables including outdoor seating), and were reluctantly seated. The chairs were out of a sesame street set, I thought they were going to bring us a coloring book and crayons. Super small and uncomfortable. Started with some onion strings-crispy and delicious. I had to try the clam chowder in a place called chowderheads... a little disappointing. While it tasted good, Im a fan of thick and creamy new england clam chowder and this was quite thin and a bit watery. The scallop roll was great, really enjoyed them. Key lime pie to finish was excellent. Service was fine- just don't understand trying so hard to save the good tables, its not like there was a crowd.

The word on the street was this place had one of the best lobster rolls in the area. Unfortunately we were incredibly disappointed in the quality, especially for the price of 45$ for the warm buttered lobster roll. It was listed as “Market price”. How is the price “market” when the meat is most obviously frozen? Complete disappointment.

I have eaten here a few times over the years and found it to be decent, no issues to report. My recent experience was not good. Was in the mood for fried seafood and have already had the scallops and shrimp. So I decided to try the Haddock since next to it said FRESH. I think not as it had a funky taste and was very bland. My beef is it was absolutely not very fresh. Secondly when you are charging close to $30 for a lunch entree make your own french fries for god's sake. Using the generic frozen crinkle cut you would find at Bud's fried chicken is simply unacceptable. On a good note the sauteed spinach was very good and my server was very nice. There were plenty of people in there but for me it fell way way short!

Just a different vibe, no longer embraces the New England feel with the new owners- chowder is very good -everything else was ok - fish and chips, stuffies and lobster pie were nothing worth noting - went the weekend of Super Bowl And was shocked is that a New England restaurant was not outwardly supporting the Pats- missed opportunity

D
Donnie Smith (The Red Hawaiian)

It's okay and that's pretty much it. Being Born and raised in New England gives me the expertise on this type of menu. I don't think they have open that long..best wishes to their future.

J
Justina Vasiliauskas

Not impressed. The lobster bisque was too greasy and tasted bland. The fried oysters and clams were mediocre at best. The clam chowder was possibly the only thing I'd try again.

I really wanted to love this place, but there are definitely better local options for dining. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly, which we appreciated. We tried the lobster bisque—good portion size, but no lobster pieces unless you pay extra. The clam bellies were disappointing and not worth the price, and the lobster tail was extremely chewy and rubbery. The atmosphere wasn’t great either—very casual and not at all what we expected.

E
Elizabeth Davis

this place has truly gone downhill the past year. they completely got rid of the fried lobster & to top it off their lobster rolls have gotten super small for the same exact market price. we also got the lobster bisque and paid $15 per soup for extra meat. instead of it coming on the side like it used to they "add it to the soup" there's no extra meat in the soup!! this place is a scam. very sad because we used to absolutely love coming here. pictured is the old lobster roll vs the new one but you still pay the same price!!!

S
Sana

I came here because I read they received awards for their lobster roll, but my hot lobster roll was insanely over cooked. It was so chewy and tough it was hardly edible. Honestly do not recommend at all.

This review is regarding a Take Out order of 2 quarts of soup. 1- Qt Lobster Bisque, 1 - Qt New England Clam shower. $58 yes $58 dollars for 2 quarts and $3 charge for the bag with foil inside to keep the soup “warm”. Yes a $3 dollar charge for the bag. First off , the lobster Bisque has Zero pieces of Lobster in it. If you want Lobster in the soup that is an additional fee. My husband went to pick up 2 quarts of soup to to take out on New Year’s Eve 12/31/25. If I was the one picking up the soup, I would have left it there and not paid for it. We are locals very nearby- needless to say WE WILL NEVER RETURN FOR TAKE OUT OR DINE IN! Total RIP OFF! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
