Wow, what a nice surprise! My husband and I are currently eating keto and this place was great! We were able to stick to our diet, eat a variety of yummy foods, and never felt deprived. Also, the service was outstanding. Everyone was polite and full of smiles. We'll definitely be back. Only negative, the music was loud. Not sure if management thinks this is a bar or a restaurant.

We were visiting Texas and chose Gauchos Do Sul in Katy to celebrate my husband’s and my son’s birthdays, and what an amazing choice it was! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile and seated right away. Our server, Castrid, was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our entire meal. The food was incredible! My husband and daughter enjoyed the Rodizio, and they were blown away by the quality and variety of the meats. Each cut was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My son and I opted for the salad bar, and we didn’t feel like we were missing out at all. There were so many fresh and delicious options, from salads and cheeses to hot dishes, fruits, and more. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Castrid frequently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and even brought the meats menu to my husband so he could request anything he hadn’t tried yet. She was also so sweet and patient with our kids, which really made the evening extra special for us. It was truly a memorable experience, and Castrid left a lasting positive impression on our family. We’ll definitely be returning to Gauchos Do Sul next time we’re in the Houston area!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Gauchos, and what an incredible experience it turned out to be! While the salad bar was fresh and plentiful and the steaks varied (some absolutely outstanding), what truly stood out was the exceptional service. I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it! From the moment we sat down, everything was seamless and the bread appeared on our table instantly, and when we stepped away for just a minute to check out the salad bar, our iced teas were already waiting when we returned. The servers were so attentive that our drinks were constantly refilled and the meats kept coming without us ever having to ask. Every detail was handled so quickly and efficiently, it felt effortless. Truly impressed by the staff! The restaurant is only about 10 minutes away, which makes it even better AND we can’t wait to return and bring our family next time. Chama Gaucha used to be our go-to, but honestly, this place checks all the boxes especially the short distance. The dessert was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was simply exceptional.

AMAZING .. speechless. Servers were extremely attentive, friendly, all the meats were tender, flavorful and fresh. I love how when I told them I was gluten free they immediately told me what not to touch out of all the meats which was just the sausage and chicken wings. They were even sweet enough to give us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend! Oh and Marvin youre awesome and thank you for the great conversation!! We will be back!

I highly recommend this place! It was the best one yet! The salad bar had hot foods and plenty of cold dishes. Loved the compliments hit dishes to the table. I always have to pay for the mash potatoes but not here. I loved the lamb stake. Anything wrapped in bacon, the pineapple, and we'll everything. 😋 the desert was fantastic 👌

Visited here for the first time and we can’t wait to go back. The bar is cozy and beautiful with amazing drinks. The bartender was friendly and made a great French 75. The manager stopped by and talked with us for a while about the drink menu which was a treat. Dinner was delicious! Every single price of meat had a wonderful flavor with so many choices including grilled shrimp. The salad bar was fantastic with cold shrimp and cocktail sauce that I loved along with the smoked salmon, various salads, Brazilian rice, fantastic chicken salad and yummy pasta. The entire staff was attentive, friendly and they took fantastic care of us offering us other options, clean plates and more drinks. We felt spoiled and enjoyed our entire experience. Also the Tres Leches dessert was delicious. I highly recommend Gauchos Do Sol in Katy and I look forward to having dinner there sooner rather than later!

We usually visit the Vintage park location but this is closer to us now so we came here on a Thursday night. It was busy but we were able to get seated quickly. From the moment we got to our table, the service was impeccable! 10/10 for service which includes everyone there. Salad bar was fantastic with so many options. When we were ready, meats came in one after the other and at the temperature we preferred. Brazilian lemonade was delicious! In the end we were served a complimentary birthday cake as my husband was celebrating his birthday! Will definitely be back. Amazing food, excellent service and wonderful ambience.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and service. Food was delicious, however, thumbs down for a few meats. Our tickets were not charged correctly which was a major issue for the group of individuals that attended dinner. It was taken care of after needing to go by the restaurant to request corrections. Hopefully this doesn't happen again as we love to have couple dinner gatherings. We may possibly go back for a second try.

Solid okay. The food was well above average but a few of the meats were a bit dry. Lighting was fun enough to know that you're about to spend a ton of money. Wait staff seemed to pay less attention to those who weren't ordering alcohol and it detracted from the overall experience. The salad bar buffet had a good selection of foods.

Here’s a smoother, more balanced rewording: > We visited on a Sunday evening and dined in a private room. A wide variety of meats were brought to the table until we flipped the card, though only one stood out to me, along with the mozzarella with honey, which I enjoyed. The salad bar was extremely crowded, with a large party accessing it all at once. Since there was limited space, I had to return to my seat and wait for the area to clear. Overall, the experience was just okay and didn’t quite feel worth the price.

Went for our anniversary and found the food to be pretty basic and not worth the cost. The meat was cooked to your liking but most wasn't seasoned. The lamb chops were flavorless. The salad bar was ok but not good enough for more than the first plate. The chocolate cake we got for dessert tasted weird so we didn't eat it.... not worth the expense!

More Style Than Substance — Needs Work to Justify the Price. This location doesn’t quite live up to the upscale standard I’ve experienced at other similar establishments. While it tries to present itself as fine dining, the overall feel leaned more toward a dressed-up buffet—with less variety than you’d expect for the price point. Restaurants like Fogo de Chão offer a more polished and complete experience in this same category. The food presentation was clean, and the buffet area was well maintained, but I couldn’t shake the impression that this was an elevated salad bar with a handful of meat offerings. For the cost, I expected more creativity, better variation, and a higher level of culinary execution. Service started off fairly decent, but noticeably dropped off once dessert was served. It took a long time to get our check, and it felt as if the staff had mentally clocked out. The professionalism of the servers didn’t quite match the ambiance they’re aiming for. If you want guests to treat it like fine dining, the service should reflect that standard. Another major issue: the restroom. It’s shockingly small for the size of the restaurant. The stall doors barely allow you to step in and turn around. The entire space feels outdated and is absolutely not wheelchair-friendly. A complete remodel is overdue. While there were some enjoyable aspects to the evening, I don’t think I’ll be returning. There are too many better options available—especially if you’re willing to head into Houston for a truly upscale dining experience.

Me and my family went out to try the katy branch of guachos for we always go to the one at the vintage, since the vintage is a good restaurant we decided to try out the katy one. We had reservation and everything for we are about to celebrate my sister’s birthday. As soon as we go there the atmosphere for us was already kinda off, the host greeted us with frown on her face and awkwardly sat us down on our table, which we didnt mind since they are probably busy. We continued with our dinner, everything was smooth but my mom (who doesnt eat any pink on her meat) only asks for well done. At first we asked for it, they were already kinda judging my mom which I thought was a joke but the servers tone was very insulting. They still went ahead and try to get it but, it took forever to come. We asked for 5 different meats to get well done but only 1 came. Then whenever we try to follow up the meats they would say “It’s coming” but never did. Another thing is when they were giving us the ribeye, We were telling the server who is cutting the meat just a little bit and he kept giving us these huge slices. This didnt just happened once or twice but it happened for the whole table where in everybody says “just a little bit”. My brother in law even said “thats good enough” and the server had the audacity to say “Oh but I already cut it” as if its my brother in law’s fault?? then he still went on to give the meat as well. I requested some stuff too like the pineapple and I had to request it 3 times and they already took our plates, so it never came We didn’t wanna ruin our night so we went ahead and just asked for the bill. I love giving tips since I myself works in a customer service industry as well. I know all the hard work they have done, but 20% ADDED GRATUITY for our bill is not up to par with our experience. I know it might be automatic for having a big party that night, but all I know is that it was the least amount of effort ive seen for customer service. This is the worst service Ive ever seen. Again, we always go the vintage location and they always give the best experience. Thats why Im disappointed with how bad the service was that night.

Verdict: i Was not happy with the amount my group spent on this place. We decided to try a new brazilian steakhouse and saw that this place had great ratings so why not? The meat was not consistent and when we asked for a specific temperature of our meat, they just gave us whatever and say it’s medium rare or whatever we requested. Some of the meats we receive were extremely rare or grainy bc it was overcooked. Not flavorful either. The salad bar was below average and I could Tell the food has sat out for a while. We paid $88/person after grat to leave us feeling robbed and hungry. I dont Recommend spending your money or time here. It changed my outlook on going out to eat and I wouldn’t want to risk it. The economy is already crappy and people are having to spend more to live so why must we compromise our restaurant experience too? We are spending close to a $100 so shouldn’t we be satisfied? Not here.

Avoid if you actually want a romantic dinner I am beyond disappointed. My son is a student who worked hard and saved up specifically to take his girlfriend here for their first 'big' romantic date on Valentine’s Day. They spent over $175, only to be treated like cattle on a conveyor belt. The service was a nightmare. Meat servers were hovering over them every two minutes without a break, practically forcing them to bolt their food down instead of enjoying the evening. It wasn't a romantic dinner; it was a stressful, rushed mess. Even after my son asked them to slow down, they kept pushing. The 'grand finale' was a staff member coming over to ask, 'Are you done yet?' while they were still sitting there. To add insult to injury, a mandatory service charge was tacked onto the bill for what was arguably the worst service they’ve ever experienced. You managed to take $175 from a couple of students and, in exchange, you completely ruined their first special night out together. If you're looking for a place that values hospitality and atmosphere, stay far away. This place only cares about flipping tables as fast as possible.
