I recently visited and ordered the frozen drink flight, which was a great way to sample their offerings—the frozen mimosa stood out as my favorite. To start, the southwest egg rolls made for an excellent appetizer, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. For my entrée, I enjoyed the Nawlins roast beef po’ boy, which was hearty and satisfying, especially with the rich au jus dipping sauce. The service was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout my visit. I look forward to returning soon to try the gumbo.

I had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely amazing, everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every bite was delicious, and you can really tell the quality of the ingredients and preparation. The atmosphere was just as great as the food. It’s such a welcoming and lively place that makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy your time there. The vibe was awesome and made the whole experience even better. Beth was especially wonderful. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her friendly attitude really stood out and made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Reagan//Hailey I’ve been to this restaurant 5 times now and have yet to be disappointed. The teamwork among the staff is fun to watch, moreover adds to fantastic service. Prices are fair, the service is fast from order to checkout. Cheers to the team

We went after Church today! We had the black and blue burger, the ultimate jalapeño burger, the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast! Everything was incredible and, Haley Wann, our server was even better!!!

Haley and Reagan are amazing. Their service is spectacular and 100% point on. The food is very good. Extremely friendly atmosphere and very welcoming.

As a Katy local, I was especially excited to see Texas Borders take root in Cane Island. This area truly needed a strong, community-focused restaurant, and Texas Borders has stepped up beautifully. The owners truly care about our community and it's so wonderful to see them expanding to locations. From gathering with friends, hosting a group, or bringing the family, this place has something for everyone. The outdoor turf area and seating are ideal for families, and the vibe is calm and inviting. Thank you, Texas Borders, for being such a gem in our community—we’re so glad you’re here!

Went with family after church seeking brunch. 100 percent happy customer. 10000 percent stars to the staff and management for beyond excellent customer service. Drinks were fast and so amazing and the vibe was great as well. And I'm one blunt person who just kinda tells it like it is...the best brunch I've had locally when in town

Service is slow, food takes a long time to come out. Food was good, specially the wings. Drinks are great and I love the outdoor space and the kids get to run around. We will be coming back. I don’t mind a slow service if my kids are happy.

Onion Rings were the best! Ours were "Chicken Fry" batter. Serving size was generous... except for the loaded nachos. they produced their on gravitational pull they were so large. or maybe it was the large quanity of queso/guacamole & fajita meat drawing us in. only complaint... burgers were beyond well done. thank goodness mine was covered in queso. good place to enjoy a nice meal with your friend...

First time visiting here since they became Texas Borders. Beth was our server and she was top notch, really liked her. Service was slower than I would have liked and they really weren’t that busy it seemed like. We mainly came here because they were offering beef tallow fried items. I was pretty disappointed that they charged us $2 PER item that we chose to throw in the fryer. Honestly, don’t care to pay extra for something like that, but a heads up would have been nice. There was none from the waitress or menu at all, just a handful of $2 charges on my bill at the end of the night. Lame. Food was mediocre at best. My wife and I had the steak and it was a bit sour, not sure if they marinated it in something but it was an odd taste, almost made me think it was spoiled. Nothing spectacular about this joint aside from the ambience. Really cool outdoor area for the kiddos to roam about as the parents just kick it and enjoy a beautiful night.

Heard the patio was dog friendly so thought I'd bring the pup for a Saturday dinner. I sat in what I assumed was their patio section. There were zero signs. Waited and waited for someone to acknowledge us. Two waiters came out, made eye contact and didn't say a word. Waited about 15 minutes and a waitress was passing by and I said, guess we aren't getting any service today. She stopped and asked if I wanted to put my order in. How could I order anything without a menu?!?! I told her no thanks, I've wasted enough time here, not going to waste anymore and left. I had really high hopes for this location. Will never go back. For that matter, I won't go back to any of their locations. A Why treat people who want to bring their dogs differently?

The whole experience was disappointing. It took over an hour and a half for our food to come out (a burger and a ribeye). The medium rare steak was completely raw in the middle- very obviously purple. The burger patty was so skinny it was more comparable to a fast food restaurant. I’m pretty disappointed that after it took an incredibly long time for the food to come out, and it was acknowledged by the server while dropping it off- (who said she wasn’t sure if they messed up our order and didn’t tell her, or what!) we never had any management drop by to apologize for the wait. We had a baby with us who was getting restless and the server was no where to be found for the last thirty minutes of us waiting so even though we wanted to just cancel the order and leave, we couldn’t because we were being avoided. We asked for the check as soon as the food came and she didn’t bring it. I could see her cleaning tables inside and then rush out to close out another tables check when we had been waiting and just wanted to leave. I wish The Oaks didn’t get pushed out. We definitely won’t be coming back, even though this is our closest restaurant.
