I get this at least once a week. Usually get 30 piece spicy and it’s always fresh. The owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating, I always call my order in so it’s ready when I get to the restaurant . Keep local businesses going and support this chain!

I'm so glad I found this place. My girl and I really enjoy the food here. Chicken tastes really good. The mashed potatoes and gravy are really good. The rolls are decent. It's a small business and they have my support. No place is perfect but this place is pretty good. Give them a try and you might really like them. P.S. only thing I don't like is the coe slaw. (It has vinager) I'm not a fan of vinager slaw. Usually one person works the place so give them some time. Call ahead if you are in a hurry.

Today I had the opportunity to met the owner of this franchise location and share some concerns about past visits to this location. He was very receptive to my input, and said that he was working with the associate's to improve the quality of the products served, and service provided to the customer. Today's visit was earlier than usual, around lunch time, and everything was fresh and good. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. It was a refreshing experience.

Me and my boys drove by and saw the decorated windows and realized this location is still opened! So we turned around and ordered some dinner! The woman working the window was so sweet and so helpful with ordering! The food was fresh, hot and delicious! The building just needs a little face lift is all! Yall go get some chicken they're opened!

The chicken tenders were fresh and good. The fries were terrible. The dinner roll tasted a bit off. The gravy was fine in taste but should have been hotter. The service was five-star. The atmosphere had dusty walls and a yellow refrigerator inside of its door. The floor was clean The wait time was about 5 minutes but as mentioned the service was good.

If I could give less than one star I would. This was a very good location when they opened. I used to love going. It was always clean and the staff was always helpful and friendly. I've been disappointed over the last year. The place has really gone downhill. The drive thru menu board is all jacked up. You can't hardly read it and good luck with hearing the speaker. Then go in the store to order and it smells terrible like dirty mop water all the time. Once my husband, my daughter and myself went in and my daughter went to the restroom. She came out and told the person behind the counter that the floors were very wet and she almost fell, he's like "yeah I haven't had time to get in there I've been busy" the entire place including drive through was empty and there were at least 5 employees that I seen in there. Last night was the kicker and what made it the final time I EVER eat at this location. The person taking our order looked like she'd rather have been jabbing hot pokers into her eyeballs than to be dealing with a customer. My total order was $55.00. I get home and the pickles are swimming in grease. I know fried food is greasy but this was like they poured extra fryer grease on top like salt. The corn nuggets were undercooked in some areas. The French fries were terrible squishy and full of grease. The chicken smelled like some moldy cat food. We tried to eat it but now the next day all of us are sick to our stomachs. It's like the staff has all but given up on life in general they take no pride in their work. The building owner isn't much better the place is in such disrepair. The outside of the building has splotches of paint that doesn't match at all, it looks like someone tried to cover up some bad spots and didn't know how to match paint colors. Like I said earlier the menu board is falling apart and you can't read anything. So why would staff care if ownership does not. It's a place where hope comes to die. Sad.

From the moment we came in we waited maybe 5 minutes without anyone even speaking to us. A young lady looked at us and rolled her eyes. When she took our order she kept rushing us and kept trying to complete our order without us even saying that was all. We went back to ask for paper towels to clean the table that was open for us to use she gave us attitude. Once we got our food we asked for plates and she said “For What” and walked off. There was a gentlemen in the back cooking that came and gave me plates and apologized. He was very nice. This young lady was very rude and unprofessional. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I’m not the type to leave a review like this but it was a very unpleasant visit to Chicken Express in Kaufman TX!!!

I’ve been here multiple times and usually the employees are strange and rude. However tonight we waited at the drive through forever to get our food finally went in. The one worker there explain to us how the owner only schedule two people to work the day after Christmas. One of them being the dish washer! After hearing her story we were much more patient with our food coming out. The employee there was very sweet and the dish washer stepping up cooking tonight. Be patient with them tonight she is working like crazy trying her best. Complain about the owner not the employee! Food was great 👍🏼 ☺️

We gone here a few times and it’s always a hit or miss. Well last night while deciding on dinner, we chose this location until my FIL told us about a trip sometime last week about how not one, or two but 3 employees told him about how filthy and unkept the place is, especially the kitchen. That the food was old and they’re still supposed to serve it. They told him to not eat there and that they just didn’t want to make him or his family sick. It’s sad that the employees have to risk their job to keep customers safe. Definitely not coming back.

Food is disgusting. Chicken is as hard as a rock and can't even eat it. It taste like it has been sitting out all day. Gravy is ice cold. We love Chicken Express and this is the worst one I've ever eaten at.

We ordered the family chicken tenders with mash potatoes, gravy and a roll.... wanted to add a side of green beans but was told they were out... bummer but ok no worries. Get to the window the guy talked way to low couldn’t hardly hear him. Then when we received our order I get home to discover the gravy spilled but the major kicker here was the chicken tenders they smelled nasty (fish like) the box was greasy and was a total turn off. Would have went back but they were closed. What ever happened to taking pride in your work and giving excellent customer service...

Horrible experience with John the owner. No one wears masks whether cooking or packing or customer facing. Attempted via several managers to log a complaint. Each one said John would call me. Finally had manager call him while I was at the restaurant. John first said there is probably a reason I had not heard from him. He said “I do not return customer complaint calls”. He said he is not concerned with complaints about missing items, bad food or customer service. I asked if a serious issue such as the heath and well being of his staff and customers as his staff were not adhering to guidelines warranted a discussion. He said “NO” people that had those concerns could go elsewhere for food or employment.

I arrived 30 minutes before close and the workers inside just stared at me and refused to take my order. Won’t be returning. Update: returned again and had another horrible experience. Ordered a 4 piece tender combo and only got 3 strips and half a bag of fried okra.

Worst customer service, drive through ordering panel was broken, sat at the window for 15 mins Trying to get their attention and watching nothing but the workers play and laugh. A few of them had seen my son and I and just kept on. I had to call them to ask them if they were open. When the lady responded yes I told her I was waiting in the drive through. She said ok, Il take your order. Came to the window rushing me to finish with my order. Definitely won’t ever come back to this establishment.

We've been there many times since the place opened here in Kaufman. It was really good in the beginning, but quality and service has been slipping. Husband went in last night, ordered chicken, fries and rolls. Several of the rolls we're dried out, fries were greasy and chicken was over fried to the point of being almost burnt.

Of all the Chicken Express locations i have visited during the years. This visit to the Kaufman location was the absolute worst. The food was acceptable but the the owner (as he identified as) was the most unprofessional person ive ever seen. Disciplining an employee, screaming, hollering, and cussing was unacceptable. I will not return to this location! I hope after filing a complaint with the corporate office this can be addressed.

This the worst chicken express I’ve been too. Not only did we not get any gravy, they wrapped one of our sides in napkins. We did not get any straws and the people were extremely rude and did not seek to want our business most of the chicken was an stale.

Tonight's experience was terrible. The young lady that was working clearly did not want to be at work and seemed bothered that I was wanting some food. She did not take my complete order, walking away from me midway through the order. When I got home I opened my food cartons to see that I was missing green beans and gravy. I hope this place gets new help soon, they need it desperately.

Mom wanted to buy us the 16 pice family meal at the Kaufman Chicken Express. There was 2 cars waiting at the window. We waited at the order box for 10 minutes when I figured it must be busted because no one responded. We drove around and there was only 1 car then. We wanted another 5 minutes when I just decided to go inside. Went in and there was 1 tall black guy with a bad eye working. I asked if he was only one working. He said "we are closed your gonna have to leave". Walked me to the door and locked it behind me. Never will go back there again.

Went through drive through. Made order at the menu box. Got to window gave them payment and proceeded to wait 45 mins for a 10 strip meal with 3 people working inside. Decided to give it another chance. Next visit went inside to order and eat. The worker was extremely unpleasant and tea was awful. Next visit made a relatively large order. They took payment, after waiting awhile someone came back and told us they had no bread. Said it was under sized and they could not sell it. Weren't going to make order at all with out the bread and didn't know when they would get anymore. Finally convinced them to just give us the order without the bread. Decided to try one more time. Went to drive through. Placed order, was told they do not sell mini peppers that are on the menu anymore nor do they sell fried pickles anymore. Ok. Ordered the cheese sticks. Got orderand only received 2 cheese sticks and asked if thats all that came in an order. The kid looked at me like I was stupid and said yeah I guess. ""So I just paid 1.12 each cheese stick? ""Uh... yeah...". Four times all awful. Shame on me for giving 4 chances but believe me I won't be going back for anymore.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I found the food trash, cold and redicilously small especially for $17.00. I called Christy, the manager, she said I should just be happy with what I got. Christy is a real class act. Chicken Express will probably promote her soon. This is what happens when you make an entry level world pay to much. Pay attention everyone. Next you will pay $25 for a Happy Meal at McDonalds and be told to go screw yourself. Wait for it.

Just ordered food, my meal was supposed to come with a roll. I always check my food, no roll!! No one bothered to tell me the rolls were still cooking. Cold chicken as well! This is the time that the owner steps up his game. Will never eat here again!!

The manger in terrel needs to be fired!! He is very disrespectful. I order food get home and it smelled bad so I call to complaint and he told me he didn't see or taste and thing different. So I ask him do you think I would drive all the way from Irving back to terrel for a 2pc. I did not receive a refund or anything. This guy is ridiculous. So I ask him for corporate number he says he's the owner and he do what he wants. He needs to be fired.

Manager was extremely rude I bought 2 bought 2 separate orders 1 order was $33.55 the other order was 24.77 she gave me almost my full two orders in a bag and said you have to wait 15 minutes for the chicken Breast. I tried to explain to her again that I had two separate orders they were not one order then she proceeded to tell me to separate them yelling at the top of her lungs while her employee held her back. I asked if she was the manager she said yes. I said wow can you please give me your GMS number and name she was first going to give it to me but then said why do you want it to my response was to complain. She then said I don’t feel comfortable doing that and closed the doors on me. I honked asked for the receipt then she scratched out her name and then gave it to me and she said hey I’m still going to have my job. Please GM or owner contact me

We called ahead to this location to ask about dine in policy. I was told by a young lady on the phone about the max occupancy of 8 at their store due to CDC recommendations in the Covid-19 pandemic. My fam of 6 arrive and order, being the only ones in the dining area. It didn't take long before we felt very unwelcomed -- particularly by the lady i spoke with on the phone. The older black gentleman that took our order was very welcoming, on the otherhand. He provided excellent service and helped us with anything we needed. They were the only two working that day. As we were leaving, i was the last out the door. I shouted a thank you to the lady, she was the only person working by the time we left. No acknowledgement. She looks at me, ignores my appreciation and walks to the back. I certainly will not bring my family's money back here any time soon.

Pulled up to the drive through they have a sign at the speaker to pull to the window so we pulled up to the window and waited for 5 mins while we watched the 2 employees working sitting in the office on their phones. I called the store to let them know I was waiting at the drive through window and then after ordering and giving them my card the lady comes back with I'm sorry our card reader is not working so I left

Every time we go, the wait is ridiculous. They definitely need to hire more staff because there's always just 1 person in there And they take forever.. I do like the chicken strips and they are really the only place in town for decent chicken strips.., so we continue to go there, but every time we do There's an inconvenience.. It takes them forever to get your order ready so I usually call it in.. one of the times when we called no 1 would answer. I called for 30 minutes straight. No answer, so I sent my husband up there, and when he got there, he said the lady was in her car smoking a cigarette with the building locked up so I guess that was more important than running the business. Most of the time I call my order in and by the time we get there, that order is still not ready in the time they alloted.. I have also waited at the window for about twenty minutes before and Today I call an order in Amanda gets on the phone n immediately askes me to hold because the lady at the window had been waiting quite a while and she needed to get to her first she said so I waited then I told her my order, she told me she would have it done in 20 minutes. Then she lied to my husband and told him She told me 25 minutes. My husband gets home with the order a twelve piece family meal.I opened the box and half the order was wings.. 6 wings in a 12 peace meal.. smh So I call back to ask her why she puts six wings instead of three pieces of each. She then tells me that she knows she didn't put six wings which she did.Then she continues to tell me that's All she had .. Why didn't she tell me that when I placed my order? If she would have told me She didn't have enough chicken and that half of my order was going to be wings. I would have not placed an order..i have These kids to feed And as we all know there's isnt hardly any meat on wings, I will not be going back there. I spend lots of money at that place 50 to 75 Every time we go needless to say, we won't be back!! I asked for the manager's number. She refused it so I will be seeing the manager soon ( Also I have taken a picture to show the owner of The six wings she swears she didn't put in there) also the gravy was soooo thick n lumpy.. You never see anybody there, no cars in the drive thru No one inside, I mean, just shut it down, put something in the town that ppl like n something with some good service!!!

We’ve given them way too many chances. Super long wait times, didn’t put the chicken tenders in my daughter’s meal, and when we called about it the guy made it seem like we were lying. We ordered chicken and a family fry and they didn’t give us the fries. & this final time we waiting 45-50 minutes for 3 meals. Never giving them our business again. Ridiculous!

This place is absolutely horrific, rude staff, will give you the wrong order, the manager call me a lier when I called and complained about getting the wrong order. And told .e people in Kaufman try to get free food all the time from them.... BS, this is the worst place in kaufman to try and feed your family. Don't do it. Horrible food, nasty kitchen , horrible customer service, drinks had no carbonation, sweet tea was sour, nothing positive about this experience... It's lunch and no one came here to eat should have been a red flag....

mashed potatoes tasted like they were the same batch all week. rolls also had a bad taste still kinda edible but the chicken. it stank so bad that even my dog didn't want to eat it so I through it away. the corn nuggets were good tho

The owner was very rude to me as well accusing me of being evil because I didn’t like the food. I should have read the other reviews before going there

Told me I would be refunded by the owner since I paid cash, but the owner said no. Then I said I'd go to the health department and he said tell Tony I said hi.

do not go here. there’s a reason they are running out of business. the only decent item in my meal was the chicken strips but even then i wouldn’t recommend them. the tea tasted like it had been sitting out for the whole day. the mashed potatoes had the slightest glimpse of white and tasted potently bad. the rolls were hard and dryer than popeyes. and not to mention the price. it wasn’t outrageous for a fast food place. but when the food is this unacceptable the price is outrageous. go to walmart, buy chicken tenderloins, bread them and fry them yourself. or just go to julio’s.

Worst place I have ever been. The tea tasted horrible, the coleslaw was on the verge of spoiling, I ordered the 9 piece gizzards and they smelled liked road kill, they were so bad my dogs wouldn’t even eat them. With food like that the place just needs to be shut down. Terrible place will never eat at ANY Cluckin’ Great again.
