Wonderful seafood restaurant with excellent service. We ordered a wide variety off the menu and enjoyed all of it! Highly recommend.

Can't go wrong at Steamers. Great place for dining or for a drink. Terrific menu and great services. Family friendly. Opens at 4 PM. Truly good service and good prices for near the beach. Plenty of parking. Outdoor seating available.

Steamers exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely amazing—one of the best meals I’ve had since living in Europe. The chef’s special was outstanding, featuring perfectly cooked fish over creamy risotto. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making it a great spot for families. They even have a fantastic kids’ menu, which made dining with little ones easy and enjoyable. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal—you won’t be disappointed!

Great location and atmosphere! A great variety of seafood and pairing of tastes and textures. The prices are competitive for the area and the food was very good. I would recommend if your in the area.

The food was fresh and delicious, the service was amazing and so friendly, and the ambiance felt upscale without feeling stuffy. Everything you want for a dinner out in the Outer Banks. They had a wide variety of cocktails and drinks, and I was very excited to see an entire page of mocktails! I had the mocktail 'mule' with lychee syrup, and it was incredible. The menu offered lots of choices for seafood, as well as a couple of meat options. We ordered the seared ahi with oysters and the fresh fish tacos. We definitely recommend both.

A superior dining experience. We were seated on the upper level which gave us a view of the ocean in the distance. Courtney our server was the best. She explained in detail the fresh fish choices and helped choose a meal with substitutions that worked for us. The yellowfin tuna and (oysters) we subbed shrimp was crazy good. Ill remember this meal for a long time. This was our last night in OBX. Courtney and Streamers made it very memorable!

Linda the owner is an AMAZING BEAUTIFUL AND DOWN TO EARTH soul! There was the slightest snafu and her promptness to rectify it was impeccable! Atmosphere was beautiful! Now the best thing on the menu, yes I am biased, was the cheesecake! Growing up my Grandma made me a special cheesecake for my birthday. This was the first cheesecake I have EVER had since the passing of my Grandma in 1999 that LITERALLY tasted like hers! I had a whole emotional moment tears and all after the first bite! I had my cousin and mother take a bite and they too agreed that this authentic cheesecake was ironically close to hers. I am here on a weekend getaway but plan to buy a whole cake to share with my father...he might shed a tear too! Update I went back JUST LIKE I SAID! Picture of whole Cheesecake below!! My father was just as shocked as I was at the nostalgia eating the cake brought. Mrs Linda thank you again!!

This place is amazing. They went above and beyond for us on our ten year anniversary. Drink list is out of this world, server was top notch, food was out of this world. The bisque was delicious. We had the triggerfish fish and chips and it was the most perfectly cooked trigger filet Ive ever had, we also had the halibut with curry soubise. Everything was 10/10. Thanks y’all for giving us a great night.

The food was really tasty. Our server Courtney did a GREAT job.. sitting on the outside upper deck was the best!.. we had soft shell crab, sticky rice, halibut and finger lings, and the cheese ball appetizer..

One of the best experiences in three visits to OBX. We've gone to a dozen different restaurants and this was by far the best. From us coming to the business an hour early (they still came to check on us as we were walking away) to bring the pups water first thing, this was the start of something wonderful. We came back the next day with another couple and our two dogs. The service, food, and atmosphere were just exceptional. I cannot think of a single thing that wasn't just perfect that evening. I won't go into all the dishes, drinks, and deserts but there wasn't a single person at the table not saying, wow, oh my, yum, try this, etc. One of our friends who typically eats half a plate and rarely a full desert completely devoured his meal and a big slice of chocolate cake. We'll absolutely come back to this restaurant every time we visit. Thank you for an amazing evening!!

Just love the blue and white theme in here! So cozy and relax. Rather than a good food and a nice interior, bathrooms are super cute and clean too! It shows that the management and crews are really care in here. (Meredith was our waitress and she is amazing!)

A must go to at least once when we are in OBX! They never disappoint!!! We started with the Fresh made Fried Clam Strips for an appetizer, and they were gone before I could take a picture! Delicious and the only place down here where I have found FRESH not frozen fried clams. I chose one of the specials, pictured, blackened Halibut, served over broccolini, and crispy fingerling potatoes with a sauce, that I don’t remember the name of, and I cleaned the entire plate!!!! My partner had the steamed shrimp and jicama slaw and said that the shrimp were cooked perfectly and slaw was very good. We ended with the Chocolate cake with cherry sauce. It was moist, fluffy, and amazing! By far our favorite restaurant in OBX.

Our server Courtney was absolutely lovely. The food was the best! This is a must go for if you are in OBX. The grits were delicious.

Don’t put your finger in a Triggerfish’s mouth or you will find out how they got their name. Triggerfish is locally caught in the Atlantic and has an excellent taste. Very fresh. I got it in the fish and chips and my dinner was perfect. We were in a large party of 11 and a couple of guests did not get their meals timely, but the management made it right and everyone was happy in the end. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Southern Shores and Nags Head. Highly recommended.

Great location and ocean view from the top deck. Excellent seafood and other entrees. Clam chowder and seafood bisque are exceptional. Hush puppies excellent. Great mahi mahi dishes. Creative salads. Cocktail menu superb - traditional mojito simply the best. Mikey was personable and very attentive. A must-stop.

Wonderful service, and excellent food. I was particularly happy about how considerate they were to a “party of one” like myself. Had a lovely table with a view, the food recommendations were spot on, service from hostess to bar to server impeccable. Both food and drinks were great value for money. Will definitely return!

INCREDIBLE. There really was no bad part of our meal here; staff were friendly and welcoming, food was amazing and fresh. Highly recommend the fish tacos!! Drinks were also really good, and we loved that we could enjoy one on their front ‘patio’ while waiting for our table. Have come to expect a touristy vibe and middle quality from restaurants here, this genuinely wow’d us!!! Would love to come back!

Food was SO good! Had the cheese ball to start - 11/10 recommend! Bisque also delicious. The fish tacos and shrimp boat were also amazing. Our server was amazing - very attentive and helpful, knew the menu super well and all the tips and tricks! Eat outdoors upstairs if you can! Ocean view.

Steamers was a hit! My family came from Atlanta, Ga to celebrate a birthday. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles, compliments, and excitement to serve. The bartender was delighted to create someone in our party a drink that wasn’t on the menu (even though the cocktail menu was extensive!). They even had a great mocktail menu as well. Our server, Mikey, was great! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our table. We also held him up for non restaurant related conversation. He was an absolute delight! The seafood bisque is DELICIOUS.

This is our favorite restaurant in NC! This is the only place we go for dinner at the beach; could and do eat here every night when we are in town. Great location, gorgeous decor, comfy seating. The food is SO good. We've had the steamed shrimp, crab legs, corn, and the pork belly burger. Steamed shrimp is outstanding, and we are from Eastern Shore MD where we know our steamed seafood. I should feel bad eating a burger with such good seafood options, but it is a delicious burger (with housemade bread and butter pickles that are amazing!). Even the accompaniments and side dishes are delicious. We also had cocktails which were divine (beach blossom & coconut mojito-ask for them- yum!) and worth the price for a stiff drink. Service is always impeccable and attentive. Cannot say enough. We can't wait to go back soon!

Amazing food!! Was recommended this place after doing some research and am so glad I came here. The cocktail menu was absolutely fantastic and the food itself tasted so fresh and crisp. I've been told the sangría is also recommended, but I didn't get a sangría. Waiters always checked in on us every so often to ensure we were ok. Will definitely come back here when visiting OBX again!

Good service and good food. I got the blackened rock fish that came with asparagus and rice and beans. Not pictured my companion got the fish tacos that I had some of and I thought were really good (the Mahi was grilled and not deep-fried which I prefer and it's served as a platter so you get to build your tacos yourself). Oh and the seafood bisque was really good!

Cocktails were amazing! Food was delicious, The shellfish can sometimes take more or less time to cook but all our food came out together and some great gluten free options. I had the special and it was delicious! Cullen was very attentive and gave us great service!

First and foremost, the female employee with dark hair and Barbie nails made me feel special. I did not like my bourbon drink (I’m new to drinking and didn’t know what bourbon was) and she took the time to figure out what I like in a drink and brought me out something she thought I would like, I LOVED IT! The burger I got was sooooo goood as well (I don’t eat seafood). The atmosphere was very nice. I had a really good experience here.

Excellent meal, service, and views of the ocean. Our favorite meal on our vacation. Look forward to returning again next year.

One of the best places I've eaten in a while. We ordered the Mediterranean cheese ball for the table and it was excellent, along with everything else. By far one of the best restaurants on the OBX!! I had the chefs special (pictured below) and it was amazing. I can't recommend this place enough :)

We arrived last minute and were able to be seated right away. Diverse menu with many choices. Excellent service by our waitress Emily! She was very helpful and prompt. Definite asset to your business. Seafood bisque was fantastic! Loaded with seafood and not watered down. I had chicken. My partner had a burger. Both delicious. Highly recommend!

Was there this week. The Triggerfish fish and chips was amazing. Never had triggerfish before and it’s my new favorite now. Just hope they have it next year when I return. The waitress was excellent and all staff was pleasant.

A friend of mine hired this place for their wedding. Excellent food (especially the crab dip and grits dish), service, and drinks. Jacob in particular stood out for being an efficient bartender and perfect mixer. He was also very curteous and professional. Overall, highly recommended!

This has probably been the best restaurant I have had the chance to eat at whole being here. The Crab and Shrimp have had the most flavor. They have an amazing Crab cake. And some really good cheese cake. Have been here twice and would go back again.

Tonight was the 1st time we ate at Steamers and it was a wonderful experience! Wait wasn't long for our party of 5, the wait seating area is spacious and comfortable and the hostess was very friendly. We sat on the upper level outdoor deck with a view of the ocean. Kendyl was our server, she was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable on the menu. She was fabulous with providing information to guide us to our meal choices. Food was excellent! Stop in, you won't be sorry!

Best meal and experience my wife and I ever had! The food was absolutely amazing! Our waitress Trish was an angel. My wife had the rockfish chef special and I had the best clam chowder and oysters ever! The rockfish special was beyond impressive. We came by recommendation from our hotel check-in and they were spot on with the recommendation.

My main concern when I dreamed about my wedding day, from someone who came from a very culinary-focused family, was always the food. I needed the food to be out of this world. I wanted my guests to talk about the best meal they ever had at a wedding for years to come. I truly believe Steamers made that happen for us. The menu selection was huge, with tons of variety to choose from, and Cassidy and the team at Steamers made it easy to customize it exactly to our specifications. The food itself was to die for – perfectly cooked fish, creamy rich sauces, crisp fresh salads – not a single dish was lacking in flavor, freshness or presentation. The staff was incredibly skilled as well – they served our guests family style at the table, describing the dishes as they came out and answering guest’s questions. They pointed guests to dishes that worked with their dietary restrictions and even prepared separate allergy meals for individual guests with more serious food concerns. How the bartender kept up with our huge, very thirsty family we have no idea – but they did so without there ever being a line or even a brief wait for drinks. Absolutely incredible down to every detail. Thank you Steamers – your food and your 5-star skills and service made our wedding day a literal dream come true! PS, my 11-year-old nephew would like you to know that “I’ve never said this before…but that mac and cheese was even better than Kraft!”.

We used Steamer's for our wedding weekend and the food was absolutely unbelievable-- our guests are still talking about it. The wait staff was fantastic, and the bartenders went above and beyond—always keeping an eye out for us and having our drinks ready before we even reached the bar. Cassidy, the Catering Sales Manager, was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and communicative, even as we made several menu changes along the way. We used Steamer’s for four days of events and truly could not have been happier with our decision.

Went for dinner on 10/25/2025. Both my wife and I had the fish and chips. The food was great and the service was even better. Our waiter was very friendly and very prompt with everything. I’m not sure if it was the manager or owner but, she came by to ask how everything was. She was also very friendly. The atmosphere was amazing too. I will be back

Steamers Catering was absolutely fantastic for our wedding! From start to finish, they made the process so easy and enjoyable. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious – our guests are still talking about it! Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly timed, and they went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to handle such an important part of our day. Highly recommend Steamers Catering to any couple looking for amazing food and service!

First off let me say, this place is so trendy! Very cutely decorated and everyone there was dress so cute. The workers were so nice and our waiter was attentive and helpful in recommendations. We got the Signature Seafood Platter. Everything was super delicious, however I wish there was more potatoes and sausage with this platter. For the cost you would have thought you would get a little bit more. All and all a great experience and meal. One of my favorites was the lobster bisque soup, it had such great flavor!! The clam chowder soup wasn’t our favorite.

We had the seafood bites, clam chowder, and Jambalaya. The seafood/shrimp were cooked very nicely, but the dishes were uninspiring and overpriced. Not sure why the shrimp was fried; it tasted like very fresh shrimp (and was cooked well), but the fried breading detracted from the freshness. We tried two overpriced cocktails and both were downright bad. The wait staff were excellent and attentive. But, because of the underwhelming food and drink, overall, a disappointing experience. Would not recommend. Edit: revised up to 3 stars since they're clearly dedicated to good service

Overall our experience at Steamers was decent but I felt that a restaurant with such a nice ambiance right near the coast could have done a bit more. We started with the shrimp and lobster bisque which was very disappointing, very runny, had mushrooms (I've never had a seafood bisque with anything but seafood), and the texture of the seafood was just off. Our entrees were much better, crabcake plate was good and the Moroccan Tuna Pesto special was delicious. We finished with a key lime pie that was ok but not great. Overall, I might come back to try different things on the menu because I feel they can do better.

My second visit to Steamers and while the atmosphere and staff are always pleasurable, the menu falls just short for me. The flavor combinations always lack the right acid and fall on the good not great category. It’s a solid option on the beach, usually not overly busy like most spots unfortunately due to no dish has you running back to visit again. If you’re looking for a good meal without waiting 7 business days it’s a good option.
