First time dining here and the overall visit was 13/10! I was only able to take after pics because once we got our food, we went after it !! Best food we had in a hot minute and would highly recommend everyone here !! They were so nice to our daughter, they gave her some candy grapes to try and mac and cheese. Super blessed to have been here today !!
Hank's has been a special treat in La Grange for years. If you're looking for home cooking, this is the place. I enjoy the specials each week and love being able to drive through for them. This past Friday, I had their fish, and omg, I found a new favorite combo. I mix that yummy pea salad with their mac n' cheese—YUM! It's a great way to get my greens in. Thank you, Hank's, for being such a great spot in town and also affordable, especially given how badly inflation has hit our small community. I support you so much! They also have breakfast options and regular menu items that are great. And don't forget their lemonade—it's the best! Hehe.
Real good food by real good people. The home cooked lunch and warmed up apple pie was divine! Best stop in town, highly recommended, both for value, quality and hospitality.
I love this place! The staff and ownership are true blue local and enjoy taking care of you. The real secret is the frozen prepped dinners! Get the Chicken Enchiladas and Corny corn (serves4 but do it for 2 and keep leftovers)! This is what quality home cooked food is about. Go to the freezer and take a pick. Great for weekenders that are tired of eating out. Great for busy nights .
Small family type restaurant. Food has always been delicious and service is amazing. TIP : Be sure to check their hours before heading over as they close in the middle of the day to prepare for the afternoon meals.
Great food and awesome folks give them a try..
Small place, good home cooking! Not really a menu, just daily specials. Really good tho! Didn't try any pie, but sure looked good!
OMG. Did I say OMG. The food is to die for. I had the meatloaf, it was tender. The peach cobbler....for the love of god. Bury me in a dish of Hank's peach cobbler. It is busting with cinnamon and rich flavors. Every thing on my plate was deliriously delicious. Drive to this place. It is about an hour plus fro. Houston, but who cares. I am telling you it is worth the trip.

Ordered the fish and fried chicken - food was flavorful and portion sizes were big. Sides were just as good as the mains. The owner served us, and she made us feel at home. Will be back when we come through La Grange!
The food was amazing! I would post a picture but I ate it too quickly. The staff were extra friendly, we will definitely be making Hank’s a regular stop.

Went for the Sunday Fried Chicken lunch special. IT WAS AMAZING! Everything was fresh and was flavored perfectly. Service was great and my family was well taken care of. It is an older building but it was clean and tidy.
This is a small plain place that is clean and bright. . The food was great, excellent breakfast. Service was spot on. Go give this place a try.
Good fresh food - was a little pricey but worth it for the pies! Used the drive thru so didn't see inside. No menu online so ordering was a tad difficult.
Our party of 2 stopped in for lunch around 1:00 pm on July 3rd. We were a bit surprised by the number of folks having a late lunch. By the time we placed our order they only had one serving of the daily special which was the most awesome roast beef. It tasted like your grandma made it. I had a hamburger which was surprisingly good. They serve luncheon specials during the week and have other menu items that are available. They also had some really yummy pies. While the lady who took our order was struggling a bit to keep up, Teresa was there to pick up the slack. Teresa is a very friendly woman who we enjoy chatting with while she took her break. She saw to it that we got the best service and the best food. This is a small "mom and pop shop" supporting their local community in small town, Texas. It is not fancy but it certainly is welcoming and the food is good.
Homemade comfort food 👍 The dessert jars are amazing! And the service was wonderful. We will definitely become regulars.

Well we were driving down and visiting, figured we try a local spot. The reviews seemed great! They might’ve been old because when we ordered they didn’t have anything. We ordered hash browns and we got these little French fries that were cut into little pieces. Bacon was good, eggs were eggs. No warm syrup, sugar free syrup if that’s your thing. Anyways, maybe I came late because it is 10am on a Sunday. But I would say they need to step it up if I come again. Also it was $15 for me. Waitress was nice

We sadly did not like it here. We ordered the Hanks Breakfast that comes with two eggs, two large pancakes, hash browns, and 2 meat of choice. You order at the counter, so that was confusing. We had to stand up to ask for more coffee, and walked to the counter with my cup. There were no juices of any kind. So we ended with just coffee and water. Sausage patties had an off taste. The pancakes, eggs and hash browns tasted almost the same because whatever oil they use is being used on everything. Hash browns were super crispy, think French fries onions. We asked for a side of toast and that was $2.15 for two pieces of white bread. Staff was kind and place was clean.
This food was really disappointing. We went during lunch and for some reason the guy I was with was giving the cashier a hard time. And she was dishing it right back which was pretty funny. But yeah I think the water in that town is disgusting or something because their lemonade or tea, whichever I had that day, was gross and I couldn't drink it. But then I went somewhere else and got a water and I couldn't drink it there either. Which is kind of weird. But yeah the food was very disappointing.

Service was good the food not so much the chicken fried steak was dry and bland the mashed potatoes and green beans BLAND it seems like the only seasoning they used was pepper no salt no nothing tasted like I was eating carton 😭 portions were good but y'all definitely need a better cook the only thing that had flavor was the corn and it was okay 🤦
$16 dollars for biscuits and sausage gravy with a side of bacon, 2 over easy eggs that ended up scrambled. I guess one tiny piece of sausage and you can consider it sausage gravy.
