I used the website to place an order and I picked it up. Ordering on the website was easy. I didn’t see any options for a drink. My order was ready in 20 minutes. I got the general tso meal, fried dumplings and wonton soup. General chicken was tasty but the inside was a little dry. But it was very tasty and the portion was a good size. Wonton soup was excellent! Fried dumplings were very good! Egg roll was very good.

I’ve passed by Oriental Plaza for years, and for one reason or another never had dinner there. Went last night with my family - we were a party of 5. All-in-all I left disappointed. The decor is dated and drab, but the real issue was the food…my teenagers might have described it as “mid.” I ordered orange chicken and while the sauce was good, the chicken pieces were actually overly-crispy, and a few pieces were chewy. I ordered the pupu platter for 1 appetizer, which turned out to be a few items on a plate - not the typical tabletop BBQ-event. One of the items was a cold (not purposefully), bland dumpling. The single piece of shrimp toast was dry and tough. The one positive is that it’s less expensive than let’s say Jade Island…although Jade Island, probably 10 minutes away, is vastly superior and worth the extra money. Overall I was not impressed.

General Tsaos white meat chicken was dry. The sauce was too sweet. The fried rice was meh. The egg roll was good.

Honestly speaking I haven't been here in a couple of years and it's not as good as it used to be. We ordered boneless ribs as an appetizer The waiter literally took out order went to the kitchen and came right back with the ribs. No way they cooked them that fast And to be honest they weren't really hot as if they would just cooked. The food there just doesn't taste the same as it used to.

First time here. So many recommendations off of fb in a group formed with residents who live in Staten Island. Restaurant is VERY OUTDATED. Needs major upgrade. Food wasn't so good. Only thing that was delicious was the shrimp and broccoli, ribs and the spring rolls. Fried chicken wings were freshly fried which was great but had no seasoning what so ever and there was to much batter on the chicken. My boyfriend ate them. The general tso chicken had way to much batter and the vegetable fried Rice smelled spoiled and was way too soft. We told the waiter and he told us they sell alot of the general tso chicken and they pay so much for it so for it to be thrown away wasn't good. Wouldn't go back here again to dine in. I would just take the ribs and shrimp and broccoli to go. The alcohol drinks were very strong and good. The sushi was also good as an appetizer. Older crowd in there 50's and up. Didn't get to take a picture of the sushi. My boyfriend ordered a large ribs to go after eating the small for an appetizer. Bbq sauce was delicious on them

From the moment you walk in the Oriental Plaza, the employees make it very clear that they hate you. On November 25th, 2025 my family came here for dinner. I watched my 8 year old nephew walk up to the hostess to ask where the bathroom is and saw the hostess react with a rude “shoo go away” hand gesture. My nephew stood there confused until I had to stand up and stare at the guy with a face of “are you kidding me right now?” It’s good to know that this place will basically tell kids to go take a walk off a short pier if they dare ask for directions to the bathroom. However, the prices are very good! And the food taste matches the price!! The only thing I could recommend for the waiters working here, would be that you probably shouldn’t get upset at the customer when you forget to bring an item out. It was quite silly and very embarrassing watching the employee trip over words trying to explain why it was my tables fault that he never brought out food we ordered. Please don’t argue with me when I already ordered and paid for my meal that it’s MY fault I didn’t remind you to bring out my food. The waiter sounded slightly unhinged. Very confused by all the hate my party received, we had spent almost $150 for a party of six. I honestly feel bad if these employees are trapped in a job they hate and can’t leave.

Went today for lunch with my hubby. The women who seated us didn't say a word nor crack a smile. The place is very outdated and needs a complete make over! Getting servers to take our order was very slow, but once they did food came quick. Wonton soup very doughy and was a bit cold. Beef & broccoli sauce super heavy General tsao had heavy batter, but was OK. Noodles & duck sauce were my favorite part.

Food is decent. The waiters are always in a rush. They remove things off your table before you're even done. And they don't even ask.

Went there this evening with my mom for dinner complete disappointment. Food came out cold as if it was laying there for a while and then just being reheated. Service was terrible as well. We’ll never be dining there again!!!
