Not only was the food delicious, the service was absolutely Amazing. Glenn was sweet and kind and gave great recommendations and he checked in with us more than any waiter I’ve ever experienced. We were celebrating a birthday today and he was so accommodating. If you come here, I hope you have the pleasure of meeting him. We are so grateful for the hospitality and amazing food. Meats are great and honestly only dine here if you love meat. The atmosphere is really awesome and a lot of people come in groups to enjoy some shared dishes of ribs, grilled beef / chicken, and sausages. Their sauces are great too! It’s really tasty and make all the meats more tasty.

This place is a GEM!!!!! There is nothing like their smoked wings! And to top it off, we get to see our favorite waiter Glenn :) But there are other amazing waiters as well. The food was absolutely delicious. The corn was surprisingly amazing; sweet cooked perfectly. Pulled pork melts in your mouth and ribs were great. I'd recommended the the brown sugar sauce made in house. I would but a bottle of that. Cole slaw was paid for but not received but no biggie. Would definitely go back again!

Forgot what my dudes name was that helped us out recently but it was on a Wednesday evening he was very nice cracked some jokes and made some good suggestions. He was very attentive to our needs. Order came out quick, very tasty. The floor was a little sticky but no biggie. All in all a good experience.

We recently celebrated a very special 60th birthday at Smokey Bones for my uncle, who is mentally handicapped and nonverbal — and I just have to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service we received from our waiter, Glen. We’ve had the pleasure of being served by Glen in the past, and we specifically requested him for this gathering because of his consistent kindness, attentiveness, and warm personality. But even with our high expectations, he somehow exceeded them again. Our party of 15 had a very large and varied order—between bar drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts—and Glen was absolutely on top of everything. He refilled drinks before we had to ask, anticipated our needs before we even realized them, and made sure every guest felt cared for and comfortable. What touched us the most, though, was the way Glen treated my uncle—with genuine respect, warmth, and joy. He went out of his way to make him feel included and celebrated. That kind of empathy and care cannot be trained — it’s just who Glen is. Every single one of our guests commented on how amazing Glen was. He didn’t just serve our table — he enhanced our entire evening. His professionalism, energy, and compassion helped make the party unforgettable. In a world where great service often goes unnoticed, I want to make sure Glen gets the recognition he deserves. He is a true gem, and Smokey Bones is incredibly lucky to have him. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’ll always ask for Glen.

I’m writing this review after our third visit: we have really enjoyed this restaurant. First time was by chance because we were in the area and looked for a place where to have dinner, but then we drove here on purpose, considering we live in Brooklyn and it takes 1 hour and 10 minutes with no traffic, so this alone is enough for 5 stars. Nachos are supreme and the plate is so huge that we had to bring them home; burgers, salmon, steak, ribs, wings, brisket and pulled pork were really good. I have to say the pulled pork wasn’t the best I ever had, but it doesn’t hurt the general rating. Staff are friendly. The place is really nice and there is a lot of parking available

One bite of the Smokey Mac and Cheese with brisket topped with crispy fried onions and you’ll be transported to your yummy comfort zone! OMG creaminess, and rich smoky flavor would satisfy the hungriest of beasts! Their pecan butter spread over corn bread was everything. And Glean our waiter was funny , courteous, kind and attentive. The atmosphere was very quiet, but I think it’s because everybody was so busy eating. lol I’ll definitely be back!!

We are staying at the Marriott, and will return tomorrow evening (although we planned on anothet restaurant) and request Lauren -- she made our visit/meal very enjoyable! We're there every Friday and have never been disappointed! Pretzel Bones and smoked wings are our go-to appetizers, and for dinner we'll usually get the Cuban, a burger, ribs, or the pork tenderloin. We try to switch it up sometimes with what we get for dinner, but we always come back because really anything you order is delicious. Kim, Ivana, Louis and Corrine have become like family and we recommend them to anyone looking for a great dinner & drink. We've also had them 'cater' (we get BBQ Party Packs) for 3 military events and they've always come through! Even people from down south were raving over the food! My family and I have been coming here for years and never really felt like a review was needed, until tonight. Food and atmosphere were great as usual, but what set tonight apart from any other night was our server, Mike. Nice young man. So polite and courteous. And a hustler! He had so many tables and took care of all of them with a smile and the utmost respect. You don't see that today with the younger generation. And you could tell it was sincere and not just for a tip. 10/10 recommend, just on his service alone.

Happy hour was great! I had wings (choice of smoked or not) with the brown sugar sauce & they were delicious. Came with the usual choice bleu cheese or ranch (I love bleu cheese) but I was surprised and disappointed there were no celery sticks. Also had the small nachos, which were pretty big and had an unexpectedly sweet sauce on them, but were very tasty. I didn't get a drink, but the prices were excellent had I wanted one. The bag of donuts we shared at the end were the BEST...warm, cinnamon sugar and had raspberry & chocolate sauces to dip them in.

Went here for the 1st time for my adult daughters birthday. I had the half bbq chicken and it was delicious. Everyone else liked what they ordered as well. I've been here 2 times and was very pleased both times. Service and establishment are fantastic, but I'm going right into food since there was a lot. For starters; Korean pork belly lollipops were great. Flavorful, tender, easy to eat. The smoked brisket chili was out of this world. I wish I got a bowl and not a cup. The Brunswick stew was good, but nothing compared to the chili. The stew was a little thinner than I would have liked, but it was tasty. For the mains; The brisket stuffed grilled cheese was really good. Good flavor and size plus the tomato bisque dip was tasty alone. The side of Mac and cheese was flavorful and not overcooked. The bonefire was a nice sampler. A little small for 2 people, but it was great to sample everything. I absolutely loved everything. This would be my highest recommendation if you've never been here before. For me, this is just a well-rounded restaurant that I'll come back to anytime I want this type of BBQ.

WOW!!! What a great experience! Our waiter Chris was helpful friendly and overall amazing!!! The food was awesome! My husband and I both got ribs. They were so tender that when we tried to pick them up the meat would literally fall right off the bone!! We also has pretzel bones to start which were delicious. I got potato wedges as a Side and yum yum yum! I also got baked beans which had pulled pork mixed with them for a unique and delicious flavor! My husband got coleslaw which he said was some of the best hes ever had! Dessert didn’t disappoint—had one of the BEST apple cobblers Ive ever had!! Great service great food!!! Awesome experience!!! We walked in and were seat promptly and were greeted at the table very quickly. Service was awesome, order drinks they were pretty good. Order the brisket and ribs and that was very tasty. Had a nice selection of sauces at the table that are worth a try. Overall a pretty good experience. If in the area I will more than likely come back.

This is one of our "Go to" spots, especially on Thursdays when they have BOGO Brisket platters. Yummmm. Join the Bones Club and earn points for free food. Staff is very good, better as of late, but occasionally short staffed. Highly recommend!

Had lunch with a coworker today. We both got the brisket platter. Brisket was smokey and juicy though a bit salty in some spots. The 4 BBQ sauces were a great compliment to the meat. Fries were a touch too crisp and were unsalted. Good portion size though overall.

For those that don’t know, this is a chain restaurant that makes good and sometimes really good BBQ, tonight’s dinner was very good. Dinner for one was the pulled pork platter which came on toasted garlic bread and with two sides. I was at a loss of what to choose but thanks to my waiter’s advice, I had the mashed potatoes with gravy and the seasoned steamed broccoli. Both complimented each other and the pulled pork. I would have liked a little more pork on the plate as I wanted to make open faced sandwiches with the garlic bread and the meat and was not able to cover both slices of bread. Would have liked a divot in the potatoes and more gravy - it was very flavorful. The pork was really good, from the smoke ringed skin that tasted like bacon all the way through the juicy cooked meat itself. The garlic bread, I only just liked. I think it’s a premade toasted frozen product that they heat up as needed during meal service. The garlic bread fit the meal but I would have liked a buttered and toasted Brioche bun instead. I’m not sure if this is good or bad but the sports bar/ restaurant vibe with all the BigScreen TVs doesn’t lean towards a BBQ Joint feel but it was clean and there were locals around the huge center of the room bar. Now the service… It was wonderful. I had Mike as my waiter and though he looked harried (an unfortunate perpetual look that wait staff can’t hide behind a mask with anymore these days) he stopped and answered questions about the menu, what sides would work best, and even asked me how done I wanted the broccoli - cooked with a bit of a snap still, not a chew. Every time he walked by my table he checked on me - while carrying a huge platter with plates of food, walks by, “If you need anything sir, I’ll be right back”. At the end of dinner I voiced my opinion about the serving size of the pulled pork and he apologized (No need - I understand restaurant economics) Mike listened politely to my experience of another Smokey Bones restaurant and was honestly curious about the quality comparison - both really good, again, my opinion. Finally after all that he asked if I was interested in dessert - ironically after our conversation… I closed out the night with a huge creamy banana pudding because I was still just a little peckish and I Loved It.

Right across from the hotel, we walked over. We got the wings, pretzels and fried pickles. The fam got an assortment or different burgers, the wife and I shared an entree, ribs and brisket. It was ok, not great... Not bad. The watress was nice and attentive even though it was busy.

Nice addition to Long Island restaurant options . Ribs fall off the bone with a nice BBQ sauce. Great for family gatherings , friends night or dates . Loved the Bag of Donuts dessert too - enough for 2 people.

Wife and I ate there for the first time Oct 2025. I was shocked to learn that the place has been operating for over 15 years. We have lived locally (Centereach) for over 50 years and never knew of this place. It is practically hidden in the extended complex of the Lake Ronkonkoma development project. Pleasant discovery but the franchise should do a better job of advertising its presence and location. Food and atmosphere was very good and highly would recommend.

Food was very good but portions were small. Server was good at first but forgot all about us at the end and we had to chase down our check in order to pay. I love the vibe and size of the restaurant, very lively.

Went with 11 people for my son’s 17th Birthday gathering. Walking in, it’s NOT an upscale place by all means…..your feet stick to the floors when you walk, which is a bit odd, may have been an off day of some sorts…… To start, The waitress was awesome. On top of us the entire time and no orders were incorrect!!!! She was also happy to get us anything Additional that we needed. Loved her. The food was actually surprisingly amazing!!! My son got the triple burger and the other orders the family members ordered were mostly bacon burgers, BLT’s, Cheeseburgers, Macs n cheese, Baked Potatoes, Chicken Wings, Hamburgers, Side orders of fries and of course I ordered the salad. The only meal that was no good was the salad. It kinda tasted like it had fish on it prior and maybe added it to my salad. I don’t eat fish so I noticed it straight away. Still 4 stars because everyone else loves the food and 24 hours later, everyone still feels okay…no belly aches from all that meat. So impressive on their part. Just don’t get a salad!!!!!

Overall the food was not bad! We got the rib special that was being promoted. Solid flavor on the ribs falls right off the bone! Was not impressed with the sides however. There were some sides that cost more than others so be weary of which you choose. Service was great, our waitress was super nice and informative!

So good, I forgot to take pics of everything we got. The nachos are AMAZING, the chicken was so tender and flavorful and all of the chips were crunchy. But that build your own bowl??? Magical. Wonderful. Give me 45 of them. I got pulled pork with Mac and my choice of toppings. I like that it’s seasoned with more than just bbq sauce. The cocktails weren’t strong, a couple of the ones we tried tasted like juice only but for the price ($3-$12), you get what you get I guess. Overall I’d return for the food for sure!

Relaxed environment; the food was good but not as good as the take out. Maybe the butter had time to marinate a little longer. Beverages were nice, and the waitress was attentive. I will visit again and try something different. There are many selections on the menu, and it's worth the sampling.

We came in and said at the bar at about 5:30 on a Saturday night it was quite obvious to me who's been in the business that they were going to be changing shift sale is out at the bar for a good 10 minutes waiting for the bartender to even acknowledge us then it took about 10 more minutes for our drinks to come then we sat there with menus and he took close to 20 minutes before he took his order. He had a major attitude only wanted to serve his regular customers hardly acknowledged us at all. The bartenders that came in for the evening shifts were a lot more attentive and friendly and paid attention to us. I understand when it's the last half an hour of your shift you care about proving out and working on your tips but this is unacceptable for the customers that are at the bar. Even gave us a hard time to get one of the televisions turned on to the Ranger of Islanders game. This is a restaurant that is located on Long Island in New York and all they cared about was having college football on and USC fighting and no one at the bar was watching that. Honestly I don't think we'll ever go back

Food was phenomenal. Our waiter wasn’t anything spectacular. He had to be asked for water and soda refills, brought a to go bowl with no lid for Brunswick Stew. Ordered 3 Brunswick Stew to go, and the kitchen staff apparently consolidated and split 3 orders between 2 containers. I think they shorted us one, but they didn’t want to say anything. The food was as good as expected. No real complaints as far as taste/temp. Another patron behind us was really rude and complained to her husband and sweet waitress the entire duration of our meal. Other than the above, I would recommend Smokey Bones, and I’m sure I’ll be back soon!

FIND MORE WORKERS. ...25 minute wait at 9pm on a Tuesday.... 30 open tables in the restaurant. Dinner delivered at almost 11pm.???? .why so long ???? This is a problem.for.a chain franchise when no one really was in restaurant. Food was good.. no problem and the waitress was very nice and tried best.

Okay experience overall. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the drinks were well made and enjoyable. The sides really stood out, fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere was welcoming and had a nice vibe, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy the meal. However the entrée was disappointing, for a place the specializes in "barbecue" ribs were not what you'd expect (tenderness) seems to he an issue. Everything else truly shined and made for a good dining experience. I probably wouldn't return even though I live 5 mins away, but who knows.

The brisket was nicely seasoned but mostly fatty and dry. The broccoli was mushy, likely frozen. The garlic bread seemed to be covering up the fatty brisket. The ribs were well-seasoned but not fall-off-the-bone tender.

Smokey Bones is located right in town, in the same parking lot as the hotel, which makes it super convenient. It has more of a sports bar vibe with plenty of TVs, classic bar food, and a lively atmosphere. We had a large group with us, and the staff was very accommodating. I especially enjoyed the drinks. The food itself was your typical bar fare--burgers, fries, wings, and chicken tenders--nothing particularly memorable, but it hit the spot. If you're in the area, it's a solid, easy option.

The service is amazing and the food is average. The atmosphere is open and friendly. The barbecue needs improving. It is a nice local restaurant that is worth the patronage.

I ordered from here a couple of times through Uber Eats. So it seems their ribs r basically bones with the smallest amount of meat on them possible. Never seen such disappointing food. The so called rack of ribs looks like 25% of the size it should be. Very unhappy and feel completely ripped off. This is insulting what they call a rack of ribs. See pics below. Smokey Bones should be closed for ripping the public off like this. Complete scam. Look at the pics. You’ll see I’m exactly right. Disgraceful.

Placed an order online for 12 traditional wings (1/2 brown sugar 1/2 lemon pepper) I received a grilled cheese. Should’ve checked the bag I admit. Came back to the store and they let me keep the wrong food and remade my order but somehow still got it wrong by giving me all lemon pepper. I only opened it to see if there was wings, I didn’t expect them to get it wrong 2 times in a row and I cant be bothered to go back.

Smokey because the fire's gone out. This place used to be good. The service was the only saving grace tonight. The wife ordered a burger medium and it came out as a hockey puck. Ordered two sauces that we had to ask for again because they didn't bring it out with the order. I had the two combo special with wings and pulled pork. The wings were tiny and barely warm the pulled pork was on two pieces of garlic toast that was drenched in oil. I ordered cole slaw and got corn instead. So all in all a pretty sad night. The server was nice and got us what we asked for quickly. It wasn't her fault the kitchen blew it for her. Probably won't come back, there are a ton of better options.

Went here 6 months ago food was unbelievable now we went on Friday night and place was empty at 5pm food was beyond overcooked had to send it all back waitress knew because we overheard tables behind us complaining and sending it all back. Unfortunately due to the ribs being smoked prior. They are harder to chew & my friend choked on a piece of meat. Thank God she the piece of meat was able to come out without making a seen. But it left her throat very sore even in the next day. She wasn’t able to eat anything. We had baby back ribs & the main but both were hard & not soft meat again it’s smoked so it causes that which we didnt know. So be careful & expect it.

After waiting 20 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, we ordered drinks and apps. Oh my... the "dry" rubbed wings were beyond well done and its like they emptied the bottle of seasoning, after cooking. Then drizzled sauce in them. the nachos were mediocre at best. The burnt ends were so gross. Look at the puctures....they speak door themselves. Terrible, all around.
