Our favorite place, hands down! We have done dine in and take out, Always great!
Best food in the area. Super service. Try the fish! It's a bar so it can be a little loud specially on game day.
Friendly service, nice atmosphere, great food. Affordable. I would return again!!
All dinners are homemade the clam strip dinner is my favorite but they have 11 different ways of serving fish dinners
Best Pizza EVER!!! I We love this place!!! Great food, great service, great ambiance!!! Homecoming at its finest and then some!
JP's had fantastic brunch options for the baby shower I went to a few weeks ago. Delicious french toast, eggs bacon and the works. Did not disappoint.
Ate in, got takeout and used their catering before. Fantastic food. I really recommend their fried chicken.
Delicious!! Stuffed pepper dip is amazing! The food portions were more than enough food for the price. Thumbs up
great food and service. waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. casual dining,
Food very good. Moist fried chicken very tasty with wonderful garlic bread. Nice place for a holiday party...decorated beautifully. Good service.
Fish fry and wings were so good. Waitress was wonderful. Our whole family enjoyed our food
Great food, nice beer selection. Friendly servers. Owners are usually there to keep things running smoothly.
Good food. Prices did go up from last time and you get less now such as no fries with Beef on Weck.
Great food, varied menu. Not expected in a small, out-of-the-way place like this. Even the dinner salad looked beautiful!
One of the best fish fries in the area. Food is very consistent and the wait staff is excellent.
I can't say enough about the friendly atmosphere and amazing fast service. Food is awesome by the way. If you are in Lakeview, you should check it out for sure.
We do take out and always treated well. Food is exceptional and always as ordered. Highly recommended.
Thanks! great people & atmosphere!
Quality food, Good service, friendly people, family owned and operated.
Good food, very nice waitresses, decent prices and I like the atmosphere
Excellent fish. Best in the southtowns. Love the broiled tempenade and Italian. Spinach artichoke dip was very good.
Great takeout - pizza, bbq chicken fingers & fries, everything was hot and delicious, friendly staff with reasonable prices. Will keep ordering from here!
First timer, but it won't be the last time. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere 👌🏽.
JP's never disappoints. Food is very good service is great. Kate and Joe are wonderful bartenders.
I prank called this place. Yes, I know childish. But the man I spoke too was so nice and concerned with my “problems” if I’m ever up that way definitely stopping by😂👍🏻
Been going here since it opened. Owned by the same great people from the beginning. Very delicious food & a banquet facility available too.
Great service and great food! Our waitress Jess was super friendly and you get tons of food!
Cold beer..Quick draw..great food
Better than I expected! The menu was very large, diverse and unique. They served high quality food in truck stop proportions. You aren't going to walk away hungry! It's a classy joint that's reasonably priced. Places like this are hard to find!
Out for a ride and found this little gem!! Our waitress/bartender I believe her name was Katie was so pleasant and attentive..she also made a delicious Bloody Mary!! The fried haddock sandwich was delicious. We will definitely be back!
We went for the Saint Patrick's day dinner. The Corned Beef and cabbage was fantastic! This was our first time there, and we were very glad that we went. Our visit was actually two days past the seventeenth, and we thought that we had missed our chance for that particular meal. The pub served Corned Beef all weekend, so they saved us from missing out. Our server was pleasant, and efficient. Overall, we were very happy!
Carla was a wonderful server took and great care of us lots of patience, and was very knowledgeable about the menu, food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding!! Will be coming back!
Grabbed a late takeout dinner and sat at the bar while we waited. Served quickly and the bartender was friendly and accommodated our silly order. Made for a good experience after a long day.
What wonderful food! Menu reads like a book. Great variety of delicious dishes to choose from. Reasonable pricing and large portions, too. Large banquet hall and bar. Eat it in or order for take out. No reservations necessary.
I went by JPs for years and a friend said it was great, it was! They have a very large menu with everything from ruebens and beef on weck to seafood and steaks. Their fish fries are crispy and moist with the best French fries I’ve ever had. They have tons of beers and ales on tap. The staff is helpful and friendly. They know my wife and I by name. This is a pub and can be noisy on Bill’s or Sabre’s Game days. We have used their banquet facilities. The is a large private room and the service and food is great and reasonable. If you try it I know you will be back.
Really good food and service. Big menu to choose from. Special seafood board for Friday. Not sure what I'll order next time. If driving by this is a must to stop in and grab some food. Take out door if you don't want to dine inside.
Its always great here.
Cool spot with that neighborhoid feel. Friendly staff and local ownership. The food was quality and tasty. Plenty of parking as they have a banquet space as well. Staff were wearing masks etc., so felt comforthable. Prices were very reasonable too! Nice to support a local business that isbt a chain restaurant.
Jan. 8/19 First time and exceeded expectations. Delicious broiled fish dinner and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his wings and draught. Our server "Jill" was fantastic and missed nothing. However, wear something outlandish and she will remember you as names are not her strong suit. NANCI and WAYNE, Severn Falls, Ontario
Great restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff is very friendly. If you haven't been here yet make it a point to stop. I will definitely be going back.
The first time you walk in into JP’s you like it, it has a warm homey atmosphere. Great food, great beer, great service. Kathyrn was the role model for customer service. It’s great to know there are employees still that know how to take care of customers.
The food here was unexpectedly good. Edit: I've been back in here to eat many times since writing this review. Every time I've been here, the service was great as was the food. They even have great pizza!
The atmosphere is a great vibe. Owners make themselves present and the staff is on top of it. The kitchen staff is great too because everyone enjoyed each of their meals.
Local place with a very large menu. They have seafood, burgers, subs, pizza, salads and the a very friendly staff. They have TVs to watch sports as well. Has a local feel to it where everyone knows the bartender's name. Highly recommended.
We were there for a fish fry last weekens I ordered the fried shrimp and French fries. I can honestly say their cook is fantastic. The best shrimp I have had in a very long time. The breading was light and tasty. The shrimp were firm but had very good taste. Definitely going back for more shrimp.
Fantastic pizza. Like...surprisingly phenomenal, which is a pretty tremendous feat in an area with so many great pizza places. Perfectly constructed pepperoni pie with just the right amount of cheese and toppings on one of the best examples of a classic Buffalo style crust I’ve ever had. Delicious “cheese lover’s” pie as well, and the fries were also a grand delight, delivering beautiful crunch while maintaining a tasty but airy texture with every bite. Great hidden gem south of the city, we will definitely become regulars going forward.
Very good food. We had a party and our waitress, Jessica was great. She was super nice and got us whatever was needed. Definitely will be back again.
It’s been a while since I stopped in. I was only there for a bit to drop off something in the front and then do a food pick up around back. As always the folks were all extremely hospitable , friendly and fun. Again, and as always, the take out was great too. This is good bunch of folks and such a nice family. I have nothing but high marks and respect for them. Wesley
We were so pleased with the funeral lunch we had for my father in-law at JP's Pub. They were so wonderful to work with. The food was awesome as always. I would recommend them for any function.
Never a bad meal from here. Whether it's takeout or dining in, the meals are always spot on. Especially around St. Patrick's Day, where they celebrate all week long. Best corned beef in all of the Buffalo/WNY area!
Staff greeted us promptly & made time to arrange seating as soon as possible with a full dining room.
Delicious food, great portions, great atmosphere and customer service!! 10/10 would recommend!
Love this place Food is always good. And for any reason something is wrong with your order they will go out of their way to make it rite
My wife and I had our 40th wedding anniversary party in the banquet room. The food was excellent the staff was outstanding and overall experience was special. We highly recommend it for your special occasions..
Very nice place, wide selection of food and your average prices.
12 lobster dainties for $10. Great deal. They were awesome. Greek salad with chicken was huge and delicious. Lots of feta and chicken and I loved the iceberg lettuce. Very fresh. The cheeseburger soup was flavorful and very tasty. I only got a cup but could have eaten the whole pot!! And the chicken cordon blue sub was also great.
We go every Good Friday for dinner with the family. We couldn't ask for a better place! The food and service are fantastic!
Usually order takeout. Delicious hot pizza everytime we have ordered it from here. Cooked to perfection. Tried the fish fry this Friday and it was wonderful. Will be back for sure. Friendly employees as well!
We showed up with a group of 30 and the only 2 waitstaff on schedule greeted us with determination and positivity. God bless them they offered separate checks for all of us, and waited on us quickly. Food was great, we werent rushed and didnt have to wait long for drinks or food. This place is great for families, groups, and the menu is huge! Everything we got was great!! I'd highly recommend it for anyone.
A family owned business (40 years) that has good food at great prices. The wait staff (sometimes one of the family) is efficient and very friendly. I went with three friends, two had sub sandwiches, one had an asparagus salad and I had to try the "famous" Reuben. All were of good quality and quantity. Decent number of beers on tap, with a mixture of craft and mass-market beers at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is like an old-time tavern, nothing fancy but very comfortable place to have a meal or just hang out and watch a game.
Food was descent. Some of the best corned beef I have had. Moderate to expensive price wise.
The food was good, excellent fries. Could use another server.
Food is always fantastic, but my order is correct about 50% of the time. Other than that I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
The food was good and the staff was amazing she was tending bar and waitress and she was still tentative.
Great place for a beer and frieddough.
The service is usually slow and the take out pizza either a hit or miss, but what truly lets this establishment shine is the experience of attending with friends and family. Though the take out can sometimes not be the best, the food served in house is almost always extremely satisfying. Definitely a local favorite for many including me.
Got a fried chicken dinner and it was very good. People are very friendly too. 🤗🤣
Great service. Went for the Friday fish fry. My fish was a decent size a little dry but tasted good
Food good, nice & hot. Long wait, same as last time we were here 18 months ago Probably short handed in kitchen
Had dinner in the bar, and it took forever and the wings were kind of soggy. Have had them take out and they were very good. So, all in all, hit and miss I guess
This a pretty good place for food and a visit to the bar. However, on my last visit there the waitress asked how many and told us to wait for a minute. During that short wait, three different parties came in just went and sat down at three different tables. So, my advice to you is ....just walk in and grab what you see.! Disappointed in the seating schedule.
Waitress either wears to much perfume or a heavy scented hairspray either way it destroys your sense of taste. She hovers around you like an unwanted knat. Pizza pepperoni was burnt cheese was fake. Normally it is a great place to eat. That was before covid struck.
Food was ok. Service was a little slow seemed to be understaffed. We were going to go back till after reviewing our bank statements they added an extra two dollars to the tip.
Sloppy is the best way to describe this experience. It was a Thursday at 5:30. We walked in to an extremely drunk man yelling to a just as drunk woman about politics. He left minutes later and the lady stumbled to the bathroom and loudly fell to the floor. The bartender noticed, but when she returned to the bar she was served another drink. There was another gentleman with her that just kept telling everyone “she’s fine”. Besides the drunken drama, the food was bland. I had the beer battered shrimp. They were clearly frozen and the only flavor in the batter was dirty burnt fryer oil. Cole slaw was basically soup and I’ve had better mashed potatoes at a school cafeteria. Our burger was ordered medium but was well done and cold. The fries were good, but who cares at this point. There are plenty of other options in the area that are a better spend for your money.
Well.......service was bad. Food was respectable. Not great but not bad neither. Got drinks and a pitcher of water, had to ask about glasses. Got a salad with my dinner, no silverware for a fee minutes! I got up and walked to the bar area and got my own. No big deal to our server Lindsey. Got lobster dainties asked for cocktail sauce....it was frozen. dinner was good except spinach was luke warm at best. Server broke a glass, she swept it up but left glass on the floor. Ridiculous. Not very satisfied with this restaurant.
This restaurant does not offer reservations. They do a call ahead. So if you call ahead and you get there and it's an hour wait you at least get seated within a half hour to 45 minutes from the time of your arrival.
Seriously, take out customer service, first, try to get the orders correct, secondly, don't call your customers liars, twice. Why would I specifically ask for not including an item in one of your salads if it didn't appear on the menu?
I went there for a banquet. It was way over priced for pizza, fingers, and salad. The food was just okay. I would not recommend.
The food tonight was terrible I had the shrimp and scallops deep fried the food was so Greasy I swear they dumped it on a plate and served it..horrible I won't be back
Have been here a few times it is always busy and I want it to be a great place but it is not the service is horrible slow and just inattentive there are 13 tables and usually 3 waitress and yet I cannot get service the food is less than average and it's in a great.locatiom it should be better I will not be back
Very loud. It’s mainly a place for older people and kids. Don’t come here if your gluten free.
I would give zero stars if that was possible. Clams casino tastes old and smelled like it had gone bad. There was a literal hair in my fried dough🤢🤮. Unacceptable. Hands down will NEVER return.
I live near the hamburg Boston border and have enjoyed JPs for many years. With Eddie's, Ninos, Now, Beuteras and even Brenners within 5 minutes I still chose to drive to Jps for pizza and wings until today July 5th. Their pizza has gone from in my opinion first to last over the last couple months. My pizza tonight was so disgusting and sloppy I'd rather have gone to 711 no pun at all. The xx crispy wings were friggen red raw in the middle as well. It's unfortunate and sad but today is the last time I rave about or ever eat here again
Food is good, but we waited an hour before food came out after ordering.. waitress kept apologizing but would rather they have fewer tables and be able to keep up than to seat too many and have to wait that long for our food. Or perhaps they offer too big of a menu in order to keep up or not enough staff in kitchen. They need to figure it out.
If you want deep fried food and drinks then I am sure your visit will be fine. But if you order something other than deep fried food & have kids or more than 2 people with you, your experience will be different. Had to wait for a table for 15 minutes even though there was an open table and waited an hour for our food. Pizza has been horrible here the last several years. I believe it is all due to inexperienced cooks.
Not the place you want to go for a nice sit down meal. The bar was filled with loud obnoxious people, we couldn't even hear each other talk and we sat at the table farthest from the bar. We did ask if there was a quieter place, but the back room was being cleaned. The waitress did a great job and the food was okay, but the atmosphere was just terrible.
First off i don’t know where to start. My venture on all the local pubs of the new area I moved too, this has to be the worst. A coworker of mine recommend me here and oh my god what a mistake trusting him this was. The food there was so bland and basic I couldn’t figure out I was eating rubber or real food. Also I couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked at the bar and saw 19 and 20 year old girls drinking at the bar. I’ve also never seen a owner get so drunk and belligerent before. DONT EVER COME HERE.
I love the food here but today as I went in just now with my son and my fiancé the waitress was so rude. My fiancé wanted to see the game and he chose the table to sit at. The place was not crowded at all and all but 1 of the tables were empty. She wanted to seat us at a different table. We told her we wanted to sit at a closer table to see the game. She insisted that we can see the game in that corner. We told her we told we wanted see the game. She angerly slammed the silverware and napkins on the table. She was like fine. We didn't appreciate that type of treatment. So we just got up and left. I just said bye then. There's no way I am going to eat at a place with that type of attitude. I won't be coming back.
Imagine a nursing home cafeteria, but with disgustingly large portions of disgusting food. Oh, and I found a chunk of hard plastic in my sandwich that nearly broke my tooth; a fact that was completely dismissed by our horrible server. Would not ever recommend, even to my worst enemy.
I’m all for supporting mom-and-pop restaurants in our community, but this place is an absolute disgrace. The prices are absurd five times what the food is worth and the meals themselves are completely inedible. To make matters worse, the “staff” is a bunch of entitled teenagers with zero accountability, serving attitude instead of service. Tip baiting is rampant: I’m already overpaying for a plate of who-knows-what, and they have the nerve to sulk when I don’t reward incompetence. The entire operation is pathetic, poorly run, and frankly embarrassing. I never see anyone here, and it’s obvious why. Small businesses are worth supporting, but this place is not just failing, honestly it’s offensive. It’s time for this disaster to close its doors and spare the community any further humiliation.
5 dollar beers 1.50 wings 15 dollar sandwiches add fries and tip 23 bucks. Mediocre price gouge. Too many other options
Tuesday is chicken wing night. $1 per wing, regularly $1.40. I can't believe they even get $1 for the wings. They are so small (I like to call these pigeon wings). They were also dry and overcooked. The fries, although hand cut, came out cold.
The food was good & our waitress was very friendly. However, (without warning)charging $2.60 for blue cheese dressing on my chicken finger sub drove up the price to almost $16 ! This type of hidden charge is ridiculous and out of control. JP's you just lost another customer
I ordered fried chicken for 7 people and picked it up at the appointed time. When I opened the pans of chicken I was immediately aware that this could not possibly be JP’s fried chicken since I have had it several times before. It was fried to a very ugly brown color and the oily smell was noted. Bottom line,,it was so over cooked we could barely eat it, especially the breasts. There was a lot of money spent and we were deeply disappointed. Won’t do that again!
