My husband and I love to come to this Denny's location after our dance practice. I recommend this location because the server is great and the place is clean. One special point, in my view, is that they do have sugar free syrup that really tastes delicious.

I had gone here a week ago with friends and it was so nice after a busy day! Our server Dolf (or Dolph I don't remember which spelling) was so nice and friendly! Food was hot and delicious the second it hit the table and very fast food service. My favorite Dennys to visit when I just need some good food and relaxing atmosphere!

Our waitress Jamie was amazing! her energy was lovely and she was so friendly. She was breezing through all of her tables like the professional she seems to be. All while making sure all of us were equally taken care of. She was also knowledgeable about the menu and helped me decide what to eat. I absolutely loved the BBQ chicken sandwich 😍, my boyfriend got french toast, bacon, eggs and hash browns and he finished it all! The strawberry banana smoothie is to die FOR. Definitely ask for her if you want the best experience.

As soon as I walked in the door I felt like I was royalty. The hostess had a great big smile and welcomed me and my family. She made sure to give us the best seat in the house! Genoveva was our server. She greated us right away. She suggested the most delicious drinks. We got coffee and she brought us our own little pot. She took our order and never stopped smiling. She was wonderful. The food came out much quicker then I expected. The plates looked picture perfect. The eggs were scrambled just right the hashbrowns had the perfect amount of golden brown crispness and the pancakes melted in your mouth. It was amazing. Genoveva was there to make sure our drinks stayed full. She entertained us with funny stories and took care of us like we were the most important people there. The place was immaculate for how busy they were. The restrooms were clean. The dining room was spotless. The servers were all so cheerful and ready to help each other. You could tell they all enjoyed their jobs. The manager was out interacting with guests to make sure everyone had the best visit possible. On our way out we stopped to tell the cooks what a remarkable meal that was. I love this Dennys and would drive to the other side of town to visit again.

It was full when we visited, but they say it's down in a timely manner and took our drink order right away. Serena was our waitress and she was perfect!! Super sweet, talkative, refilled or drinks and constantly checked on us. We will be back

Sirena was amazing!! Someone else welcomed m and walked to my seat with me, I told her I needed a second menu for a loved one that stopped at the rr on the way in, but I may as well have spoken to a wall bcuz she didn’t follow through. However, Sirena, started helping and didn’t stop being awesome the entire time!! She was personable, quick, followed through with everything I asked for and had us feeling like we were welcome to be here. We even asked her to relocate closet to our home since we like her so much!! She denied but, if we could, I’d duplicate her at every location and other restaurants too!!! She deserves a raise and a promotion to trainer to the rest of the staff at this location and others!!

Denny’s never disappoints!! I came the other night and ordered the original grand slam and it was delicious. My table also got treated with excellent service by the waitress, Ada. Well? I did not want to eat at Denny’s, for the terrible food. (lunch/dinner) I’ll just order a breakfast item and coffee. however, I saw a salmon dish on my way to my table and it’s presentation was appealing. salmon? At Denny’s? Never. I ordered it anyway. after the first bite, I asked the waitress about the cook, she said he’s been here for many years and is the day cook. well, hats off to the chef, because this dish was awesome! I had not been here in years and it dawned on me that it’s been remodeled. Very nice and awesome service. this is definitely not a normal experience at Denny’s. Well done! We decided to have a late breakfast on Sunday. Totally forgetting that most restaurants are super busy with after church crowds. The restaurant was very crowded but we got sat down pretty quickly. Our server Jamie L. was so pleasant and not even bothered by the hustle and bustle of keeping all the guests content. She greeted us with a big smile! You could hear her going table to table and checking on her patrons that were all in different stages of their meal. We ordered coffee. She came back with paper cups because she didn’t want us to wait because they had run out of coffee mugs. She was amazing. Of course, when you visit a Denny’s, the food is always delicious for breakfast. I had the French toast, and they were yummy. My daughter had a breakfast sandwich which she also loved. I would like to take a moment and recognize some hero's! My wife and I just dined at the Denny's on 281 and Bitters. I am pretty sure that they were the only restaurant open on Xmas. We walked into the restaurant to be welcomed with joy, but also with a warning that the restaurant was very behind. 30 min wait for a table, and over an hour wait for food once you have ordered. We knew that we didn't have any other options so we we took the advice of the server and ordered some apps right off the bat. That did work out for us and we did get some food surprisingly fast. We have not visited Denny’s in such a long time and decided to give it a try. The service this evening was phenomenal! You can tell they all work well together. The food was good much better than IHOP. It was a really nice experience.

I had an EXCELLENT experience for breakfast. The server (Sirena) did an EXCELLENT job, food came out quick, exactly as I ordered and she was on point, very respectful. The restaurant was clean tables and all, which says allot about the management, great leadership. This is by far the best Denny's around. The food is always served hot and quick and with a smile. The servers are always very helpful. I've even seen the cook come out and deliver the food. But today Genoveva really impressed me. She welcomed me with the warmest smile even though she was cashing other people out. She recommended a new hot chocolate which was simply amazing. My food came out piping hot and perfect. She told me about the new rewards program which I signed up for and was rewarded a free dessert before I left. What a deal! Brittney was our server, and wow — Denny’s is seriously lucky to have her! She was the only one working the floor, handling several tables at once, and still gave us amazing service. She was super friendly, attentive, and somehow got our whole order perfect (and I dont think she even wrote it down!). Our drinks were always full, we never had to ask for anything, and even though she was clearly busy, she still took time to chat and laugh with us. My girlfriend and I just finished enjoying what was our best experience at a Dennys. Server Dave Greeted us kindly at arrival and killed it with his attitude and work ethic. Matt the cook did an excellent job cooking my medium rare Tbone and my girlfriend’s breakfast plate. This all happened past 12 am which is an easy time to phone it in and not try. Customer service, as always, was amazing. This time we ordered out instead of dining in. Food tasted great. My only thing is, I paid extra for chocolate chips, only to find a couple of chocolate chips in the middle and that’s it. The 2nd pancake had even less. If I could change anything, I’d say to not make it seem like a sprinkle was just dumped in the middle. Especially when someone is paying extra. Other than that, food was great.

Came to Denny's for a bite after a trip in San Antonio. Grabbed a burger & fries off the $8 menu - and was pleasantly surprised! Not a hint of Fast Food flavor, but the burger just had a home-cooked taste to it, and the bun was good and not the 'usual bun' you'd expect. Fries had a neat cut to them and were also unusually good! Our Server was Shelli and was nice and attentive to us, as well. Was expecting good food - and got GREAT food instead! Nice job! It's a Denny's, what do you expect? The food is edible for the most part and the waiters care as much as anyone getting payed there salary... Actually, slightly better. Really the waitresses I have interacted with (graveyard) have been pretty good. I've never felt bad about tipping above the recommendation. Let's just say that it's about as good as Jim's and a little better then IHOP, lol.

Serena our waitress was great! Kept us informed of food delays and checked on us periodically. However, I have been here previously and enjoyed my meals but today the meal didn’t seem to be at the standard it usually is. With specialty pancakes that did not look like when I’ve previously ordered and a steak that needed to be sent back due to not being cooked to requested completion. Other than those small things I enjoyed my experience.

Place was clean, I liked that, service was ok. Food, one it took over 20 minutes to get an omelet, then the Denver omelet was floating in grease, the hash browns, what very few there were, very few, were burnt. Here are the issues, management was no where to be seen, waitress was obviously didn't care, cook was either untrained or didn't care either.

Service was extremely slow I especially like watching the servers eat fruit will cutting it. Sticking their unclean hands in there mouth and then cutting the fruit I also enjoyed watching the servers touch food with their unclean hands and serve it to customers The poor attitude by staff when you asked them for anything or even tried to pay. This place needs a visit from the health department and staff retrained.

We were here for breakfast. Unfortunately, I had to wait 45-60 minutes for my food, while the others got their food partly so much earlier that they were almost ready again when I got my food. Our toast was unfortunately quite charred. The pancakes were as dry as the Sahara. Also, we asked for butter and jam probably 10 times, but didn't get them. The waitress was unfortunately a bit overwhelmed, our orders were mixed up several times and we had to have it changed. In addition, the dish that I finally got looked completely different from the picture of what was on the menu. That was unfortunately a bit disappointing.

We waited over an hour sitting at the table, not 20 mins as promised. Now lets talk about their food 👉 Zesty Nachos - proportion was good, taste was also good but at lower level Tortilla chips were RAW (not fried) 👉Crazy Spicy Skillet - this one with Chicken and Sausage was tasty but not as crazy spicy as it sounds 👉All American Slam was good. Ordered 2- senior omelets. Missing cheese and one had old and dry tomatoes. Service was sub par and all servers were congregated and had more interest in standing around and talking. 8 am in the morning and with maybe 5 tables being served so, it wasn’t busy. Was not offered refills on our coffee. And overnight server left personal backpack and purse on counter, very unsanitary and unprofessional It will be worth the drive to go back to our old stomping grounds to Schertz Denny’s where they have great service and outstanding, fresh and appealing meals. Shame on you San Pedro Denny’s .

Waited 15 minutes to get coffee and water. 45 minutes plus for food that never came. We left and will never go back. After all that, they still charged us for 2 coffees when they ruined our morning. It was not busy nor was the restaurant full. No explination was given. Managers and staff don't give a damn.

Came for a nice breakfast with the my family, (2 kids and my wife). The older lady had a attitude, when she gave us our drink we received to go cups, while the other tables she was serving had normal cups, some where there before and some arrived after us. Then after taking our order she never checked on us or gave us refills. But made sure everyone around us had everything they needed multiple times. Right after the food came out (after about a hour and a half of waiting, so the food was room temp) this was the only time she checked on us, we all needed refills by this time so we ask and she had a attitude just because we asked for refills. My wife took our girls to use the restroom, as soon as the lady saw she brought me the check. So honestly this was the worst experience i had at a Dennys.

if i could add negative reviews i would. Terrible service. the workers you could hear them in the back using slurs and cussing up a storm. i dont go to restaurants to hear f bombs and racial slurs. Staff is also very inappropriate. To be honest, take your money elsewhere and ignore this dennys. Ive never seen a more sad location in my life. Food was terrible. Vibe was terrible. staff was terrible. what a sad place to be. i will never be stepping foot in this dennys again. i think they need completely new staff or cuts. cant believe i had to go through that.

The WORST Denny's I've ever been to. The food was mid. Found hair and it was cold. The vibe of the place was terrible. It felt sad. Like no one wanted to be there. The Service was meh. Only a few good workers there. The management not so much. I am never ever going to this Denny's and I encourage others to not go here as well. Pathetic.

Revised review, May 12, 2024. Had to wait over an hour. There was not enough servers or cooks. After getting a table had to wait another hour for food. Waiting in line to pay out bill. Will never return and advise others to as well. I have added pictures showing servers waiting for food and customers waiting in lines to pay. Good service. Revised review, returned several times since first review, good service. Something has changed, visited Tues, Mar 19, 2019. Very few customers, but still had to wait to be seated. After my order had to wait over an hour for food, which I had to ask manager for. The food was cold so had been sitting in kitchen. Customers had to wait in line to pay, one take out customer waiting complained food was not ready. Dec. 2025 breakfast was terrible. The pancakes were like leather, had to use knife to cut. New owner!!!

My family and I dined in around two weeks ago on a Thursday. Our server was such a kind gentleman and took very good care of us. While dining we did witness something that I felt very uncomfortable to hear. Someone who seemed to be apart of management was acting very belligerent towards our server who seemed to be the only person of color. It was shocking to see how management treats their staff members. I will not be returning to this Dennys anymore due to poor management.

13635 San Pedro Avenue location.We go to this location once or twice every month. Food is good and service usually great. Today we were served by a tall guy with white beard, maybe in his 50's wearing a small black hat. During the service everything went well. At the end when we receive the ticket it was 90 dollars and we decided to give hin 10$ as a tip. When he notice the tip he turn to us in a threaten way and said out loud "do you know that we only make $2 an hour?". All the other guest heard him and stare at us like there was no tip, and we were ashamed in front of everyone. I did not want to make a scene in front of my family and I gave him 6$ in adition to the $10. This was really unprofessional. I know the law in the restaurant bussiness and understand that Dennys has to mach the minimun wage if he does not complete the min wage with tips. Regardless me and my family felt threated, ashamed and decided not to go to this location EVER Again
