Food was okay. Hubby got the rib and steak platter. Steak wasnt good at all. Tasted like nothing and it was tough to chew. He asked for medium. It was but the steak itself was tough. I got the moni Cristo. Couldn't eat more than 1 piece of it because the batter was really sweet. Everyone else enjoyed their salmon, chicken strips, and chicken fried steak but they said their sides lacked seasoning. Potatoes had non. Brocoli casserole needed more but the fried were great 👍 So, yeah

Food wasn't very good, steak was burnt and over seasoned, kids burgers were was soggy and the fish tasted greasy. However the staff was polite, courteous, and attentive. The restaurant was clean and other than the food it was pleasurable but this night the food wasn't very good.

This place has some good food. The menu is diverse. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and it was pretty good. I reccomend that you try the painkiller drink, is to die for. Overall the establishment looks pretty nice. The food is well cook and tasty. My only issue was with the service it was not bad, but it definitely needs improvements. 3 out of five.

I am not one to leave a review, but today's service was bad. I ordered my son some pork ribs with chicken tenders. I have a pork allergy so I specifically told them to put the tenders on a separate plate. To make sure the food didnt touch each other. When we got his plates all tenders were stained with barbecue sauce. Where they had put the tenders on the ribs. Then they were taken off and plated in a different plate. Then my salad the chicken was under cooked and there was a hair on the chicken. Hoping a manager would have come to speak to us, nothing no manager in site.

I appreciated my waitress. She provided excellent service. I didn't find my food as great. I've been to a few cheddars but this one was particularly unable to meet the expectations in the kitchen for ME... however again the service was nice nice 🙂

Went for lunch with a friend, arrived at 12:15. A couple of big tops were in the lobby in front of us so we went to the bar. Waited 5 minutes before asking the host if there was a bartender because we hadn't gotten served. A few minutes later our bartender approached and told us she was busy but would get to us (she was polite). So after a few minutes she came for our drink order and then food. My friend ordered ribs and I ordered fish and shrimp. His food came out timely, I waited 13 minutes for my food. At that point my friend was finished and I asked for mine to go. Our ticket was delivered, we never received an apology for the delay on the food, we were never offered a discount, let buy your drink, etc. Nothing. Just acknowledge the mistake! Be better than that. I will not be returning to Cheddar's in Laredo, and doubtful anywhere else. Stuff happens, just own it.

This time was the worst experience ever. The server (Miguel) was the coldest, laziest service I encountered; it took him forever to take the orders and bring them to the table. It took 50 minutes to get the food, and we received only 3 of the 4 plates we ordered. The appetizer never arrived, and he never brought the Croissant, saying the kitchen was backed up while the restaurant had 8-9 tables occupied. The buffalo chicken wrap came with a long, thick, dark hair in it, and the chicken tenders were beyond fried and black, greasy. The steak we ordered was supposed to be medium, but it came rare and had a strange flavor. The double chicken steak plate never came. I talked with the manager, and she was very polite and said they would replace the food and cover the tap, but Miguel (the server) came back and said that the original plate would take about 15-20 minutes extra after waiting for an hour. We had to leave as the food was disgusting and the service was the worst. This was Friday 1/30/2026 at 4:30 pm and it was not a busy hour at all.

Worst food I ever ate from a cheddar. Steak was over cooked, the only way the ribs were "falling off the bone " is if you take a chainsaw to them. Potato was old and cold, the butter wouldn't evan melt. The only decent thing was the broccoli casserole, and ya got about a tablespoon of it.

I've had several occasions here but this last time was probably the worst almost in all aspects. The bar sent out a wine cup with lipstick on the glass and was returned only to see the asst. Manager pour the wine into another cup and try to bring it back but when they saw that we saw they tossed the drink and brought out a new cup. That by itself was disgusting. All our food came out an hour after ordering and ALL baked potatoes were hard. Salmon came out over cooked and medium rare steaks came out fully cooked. Probably the worst of everything all the way around.

Waited 10min. After being seated no one came to take orders. We have had bad experiences before. Decided to give another try I regretted making the drive. The place wasn't even busy to have that being a reason for slow service. At least that would have been have understandable. Now I know we won't be returning

My boyfriend ordered a chicken fried chicken plate, when he bit into one of the chicken pieces it was hard and chewy, he could not eat it, we got another one but the experience was bad enough for us not to go back. Also we ordered the cheese bites and they did not taste fresh they taste old and hard too. Never coming back again, the price of the food was also too over priced as well for the quality.

Great food. Staff gets jumbled during peak hours, so tread with caution. I've seldom have had a bad dish here. Update: changing this review from a 4 to a 1. This place has been going down hill for the past 4 years or so. They never get our orders correctly, or something is always missing. They gave my wife a very over cooked steak and the smallest portion of rice. It was comical if they prices weren't so high. All in all, I might just not comeback here. This is ridiculous!!!

I've been to multiple locations, and this location is by far the worst. I am willing to put up with inattentive servers if the food is great...but the food here is not even minimally "ok". The croissants were HARD, not a little, very hard. The side salad I paid extra for was TINY and drowning in dressing. By the time I mixed it up, it was a tiny little scoop of wet lettuce in the middle of my bowl. My "loaded" baked potato had no sour cream, just a few sprinkles of cheese, tiny bit of butter and was also cold and hard. To top it off, the server had an "oh well" attitude. Came here to celebrate a birthday. We would have been better off literally anywhere else.

Good customer service from hostess and waiter. But..... The entrance is dirty. Glass-doors are really dirty and entrance rugs as well. We got a table that was dirty and little black insects. So we moved. Silverware was dirty. (pic attached) We got cold food. A pasta plate was sent back because it was ice cold. So it Idon't think it's made fresh. The pasta is probably microwaveable. When I call the waiter he even ask "oh it still cold?" That means they didn't microwave it the right time? No idea. I got warm fries with my plate. Not hot fries. It wasn't a good dining experience at all and wont come back to eat here.
