We ate here on a Monday night. Some restaurants close on Monday or Tuesday because it slows down during these days. But, this place is so good, it was lively! Staff: All staff were so friendly and attentive. It is one of those places you felt like the staff just anticipated your needs without being overbearing. They were professional, but not stuffy and kept a great sense of humor. The atmosphere: Lively, but not so loud or the tables too close that you can't hold a conversation. I loved the high beamed ceilings. Food: Delicious! Everything we had was super! We started with salads and appetizers: Arancini was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside with a light tomato sauce (delicious), The salmon ceviche on crispy potato was light and flavorful with different textures to tease your mouth. The calamari salad was light with a hint of citrus and spice. For main dishes we had the Yellow curry with root veggies. Nice light curry flavor without it being overwhelming, creamy and delicious. The gnocchi was light fluffy pillows that practically melt in your mouth with just a little crispy on the outside to give it some texture. Amazingly we had room for dessert. The apple pear tart was simply divine. Light, flaky, sweet sensation! We had ours with their homemade caramel sauce! Yummm! All the plates were finished off and delicious.
Excellent service, absolutely stunning atmosphere, and incredible tasting food! The gnocchi & Risotto were especially delicious! Their pizza is also the best in the West, and I highly recommend it as well!
Like others said, the servers were kind and attentive. They offered a kid size pasta (penne or spaghetti) with butter/parm or marinara, which wasn’t on the menu. If you like, it can come before the adults meal. It came promptly which was really appreciated. Pork chops is a cozy, tasty dish with good sauce. The chicken sliders were spicy but not too much with a great crunchy batter. The gem salad is bright and refreshing. Loved it accompanying the rest of the meals! The Double 8 soft serve is creamy, but light and so good! Everything was delicious and it was a great experience.
Fantastic Italian restaurant at the end of town in Larkspur. Rustic contemporary vibe with lots of exposed brick, very active bar, and bustling dining room. Many small plates and really tempting small plates, pasta dishes, risotto and entrees on the menu. The risotto and pastas as well as veggie sides were delicious and the dessert was out of this world. Although it looks like they make good cocktails here and have a nice wine list, they will also open bottles that you bring in for a corkage fee which they were gracious enough to do for us. The service was great and not overbearing. Parking on street so you might have to drive around a little but otherwise fairly plentiful.
Picco’s at the heart of the town of Larkspur is delightful. Especially on a warm sunny evening. I’m a fan of gnocchi and Picco’s rendition of it is outstanding! My dinner companion and I both had the steak. Delicious! And I also had salad which was very good. For dessert I had the cannoli. It was ok. The pastry shell was a bit too hard. I want to go back and have the pizza! The aroma was so alluring. I also want to sit outside on a warm evening and enjoy the unique ambiance that is Larkspur.
Excellent food, very relaxing chilling atmosphere. Been here twice, and have not been disappointed. The Filet carpaccio is a must. It is absolutely fantastic. They are also known for their Brick Oven pizzas. 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
I have been going to Picco Restaurant since it first opened. It is my absolute go to spot everytime I'm in Marin. It's the best food in the county. The dishes to try are: the raw ahi tuna, sticky rice appetizer; risotto (a fresh batch is made every 20 minutes & it's ingredients change with the seasons); homemade pasta and sliders. You may wonder why I included a photo of people in my review. This is the first review I've given where I included photos of the staff. The two bartenders, Gavin (left) and Eric (right) are instrumental to this restaurant's charm. Their gallantry, conversation and attentiveness make the bar the best seat in the house. Enjoy!
Forgot to take a photo of the soft-serve ice cream drizzled with caramel, hot fudge, sea salt, aaand... olive oil!!! What a surprise! Food, service and ambiance were great. Don’t forget to get the soft-serve with everything on it including the olive oil!!
Wow! This was a really exquisite meal and service. We ordered the tuna tartare, Mexican corn, harissa carrots, gnocchi, and caramel pot de creme. Everything was innovative and delectable, but order of recommendation would be: gnocchi, tuna tartare, pot de creme, carrots, and corn. If it’s nice out, I’d also recommend reserving a table outside. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and gracious service. We shared a number of appetizers among four people, which was an excellent way to taste so many of their offerings.
Great apps! Be sure to get the risotto. Really well chosen wine by the glass and some cool half bottles too. The food is always top notch!
Excellent food and outstanding service! We had the wood-fired son of yeti pizza which was delicious and the gnocchi which sets a standard for how gnocchi with sausage should be served. Our server, Marcus was on point. His recommendations were spot on and he made us feel right at home. Thanks for a great evening Marcus and the whole staff at Picco!
everybody was friendly. the food was really good. restrooms were big and clean. a bit of a weight but only because they are so busy. it was worth it they have the best margarita pizza I've had in California. I've had a lot of Pizza in California. since New York this is my favorite. the service got a bit confused like we got our french fries after drinks and pizza instead of before but I think it's only because they were so totally slammed. the service was very friendly and informative. if you get a chance you should try the pumpkin ravioli it was amazing but I think it's seasonal.
Best risotto on the planet. They make it fresh to order and their go off.

Wonderful ambiance and very tasty food. The service was pleasant but not top notch as I would expect (pacing was a bit off and a few other minor things). My favorite were the Brussels sprouts, and the chicken sliders. The tuna was also delicious. I would skip the risotto. Fries and calamari were standard fair but I would order them again. Great place for a nice date dinner.
overall A+: Lovely local place, food amazing, service amazing given the busy dog and child-filled scene, sat outside on a sunny Friday evening: halibut ceviche, filet mignon carpaccio, snap peas, kona pineapple jalapeno onion pizza, bourbon and gin cocktails. Daily specials are fantastic; highly recommend.
Overall is good, nothing spectacular tho. Arrive early or make reservations ahead of time because it gets really busy.

The food was fine, but nothing else, unfortunately. They couldn't find our reservation, even though we had a confirmation, so an outside table wasn't available. Pizza is served only to outside tables. Huh? Basically, only small plates/appetizers are vegetarian. Our orders came one plate at a time over about ten minutes, indifferently set down wherever was convenient, wordlessly. Again: huh?

A bit of a walk down memory lane. Still enjoy the food, but it feels like the menu hasn't really changed in years. Business seems good, so the formula obviously works - just maybe starting to feel more like a cover band. What has changed are the prices. I know that costs are up everywhere, but as an example, dinner ended up being around the same per head as a recent meal at State Bird Provisions in the City - with way less variety, inspiration AND volume. Really, no comparison. I'm sure we will continue to visit (nostalgia is quite the drug!) but it isn't as special as it used to feel.
The food and outdoor area were great, and the lady who greeted us was very kind. However, while waiting for our outdoor table, the woman at the counter rushed my friend before knowing the table was ready, which made her decide not to order drinks. When it was my turn, she seemed to decide I should order at the table instead, giving the impression she was in a hurry and not very patient. I ordered the Avocado Bruschetta, but a Yogurt Dip was brought instead. It was a communication error, and the food runner kindly helped clarify. The waiter who took my order later said, “You ordered it, I asked twice, and you confirmed,” with a displeased tone. He apologized afterward, but still seemed rude and rushed. I understand mistakes and tough days happen, and I appreciate their hard work. Still, it was disappointing for our first visit. Wishing you the best. 🙏🏼
Upon ordering two salmon entrees, the server very deliberately explained to my spouse and I that the chef would cook the fish either medium rare or well-done. Without hesitation, we both ordered the salmon medium rare. Given that there was almost nothing else on the plate except about one small chunk of carrot, two mushrooms and three very small potatoes, the meal could not have been more disappointing when the small piece of salmon arrived completely well-done. Because my spouse had worked all day and was starved, he ate quickly anyway. I provided feedback to the server about the fish being completely well-done and honestly assumed that she would have immediately provided feedback to the kitchen. Perhaps she did, but not a single other person checked on us. That was meal was a pretty big fail in food preparation and attention. We will stick to the pizza, pasta, and soft-serve in the future.
