Elia Authentic Greek Taverna

I've had the pleasure of dining at Elia Authentic Greek Taverna several times the past year and each time I've been friendly service and excellent food. The food served here is definitely not the generic gyro, pita, and souvlaki plates that one would find at most Americanized Greek restaurants. The food served at Elia is truly authentic and there are items on the menu such as the Salt Crusted Sea Bass, Kolokythakia (zucchini chips), Paidakia (lamb chops), and Horiatiki (tomato and cucumber salad with feta) are so beautifully done that I felt like I was back in Greece on vacation. The food is consistently good and everything is cooked to perfection. This restaurant is definitely worth going off The Strip for, and a place I look forward to visiting each time I visit Las Vegas.

GRAND OPENING NIGHT WAS FANTASTIC, The gracious owners cooked for all of us. We got to try everything on their menu, steak, lamb, fish....wow the food is incredibly good!!! The wine was overflowing..such a perfect night. Beautiful NEW LOCATION in The Lakes. Large gorgeously decorated restaurant with an amazing wine cellar. Beautiful patio decorated with flowers and lights, we found it very romantic. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine and get an amazing authentic dinner!

Unexpected gem. Walked in here on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised with a delicious and memorable experience. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer (no picture) and it was one of the best octopus preparations I’ve ever had. Fish and lamb chops mains were excellent as well. The homemade bread and Greek olive oil were devoured. Service was friendly and professional. Would definitely go back!

We spent the early evening dining at Elias. We were the only folks dining at 4pm! Service was PERFECT! The dining experience was on point. Perfectly plated and presented.

Incredible Greek food! The most authentic my Greek girlfriend and I have tasted outside of Greece! Everything was fresh and authentic. From lamb chops (Paidakia) to horta, and from seabass to zucchini chips (Kolokythakia, our favorite), everything tasted just as we had tasted it in Greece - in some cases even better! The horta and kolokythakia were perfect. The selection of Greek wines was impressive! Such a wide variety for a restaurant outside of Greece. The dessert was excellent too. Service was attentive, polite, friendly, and fluent in both Greek and English! We loved this place so much we went twice during our short time in Las Vegas. We will definitely visit again!

It was our first time at this restaurant and I know we will return. Very energetic atmosphere. The food was great and the service was excellent. Need to return to try other menu items. Definitely try the zucchini chips. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

This is it!!!! The best Greek restaurant in town by far! Full touch of Greek Mediterranean upper class food. Fresh salt coated fish, delicious starters, great cocktails and amazing atmosphere. Reasonable prices and a must!! Enjoy.

Once in while I go fruitlessly searching for a Greek restaurant - with little luck I might add. Firstly, there seem to be few of them in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the areas that I travel to, and secondly, when there is one, it is often a weak excuse for Greek food and even less in ambiance. There is one in the Bay Area, in Santa Clara, – where the owner greets and seats you. And….wait for it….I find a high quality, owner run, and well run I might add, across the parking lot in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not in the popular tourist areas of the city, but to the west, about 20 minutes from “The Strip”. It is called “elia” (lower case “e”). It is at the back of the Best Western hotel/motel (pretty good also for what you get from Best Western, a bit worn in places but still reasonable). A small door under the sign welcomes you, and – the owner himself is inside to greet you. So nice. “Welcome to my restaurant, come in please”! How’s that for an appetizer…? We sit down and a clean, polite, attentive waiter introduces himself and makes sure that everything is on the table that should be there. No plastic flowers around, not much stuff hanging on the walls, and a bustling trade going on. There’s an outside dining area, I would say it is there because on a really busy night, it is needed. It looked like all the customers were local people. I know my Greek food from my Greek odyssey times, and I can only say that it was a great meal, careful attention to detail, and courteous staff. No (and I hate this with a passion) “Are you still working on that?” question. What a dumb thing to say to a customer is it not? Just leave me alone to try to enjoy what I am not “working on” but dining (rant over). I would rate this extremely well run, excellent fare, politely staffed Greek restaurant as a 9/10. For example, from my days and nights in a five-star top of the line restaurant, I assert that one of the markers of a good restaurant is the cleanliness and the sparkling quality of the glassware, particularly the wine glasses. These were absolutely spotless! And dish rims were perfectly clean – no fingerprints from the chefs or waitstaff. The one point down, because I am a tough grader, there were some small items for which I deducted that point. Great job, hard work pays off. Congratulations! Go there and enjoy real Greek fare.

Greek Tavern has high level of service, food is awesome 👌, everything is fresh and delicious, that's why price is little bit higher, but it's because of location. Highly recommended and one of my family's favorites. ❤

Amazing quality food! Great service from Preston. Octopus was perfectly grilled. I had the fagri fish and it did not disappoint. We ate on the beautiful outdoor patio.

What a great little restaurant! Do many other people told us about thos place before COVID. They just opened back up with a limited menu but what they had was great. We had the octopus for appetizers. That was worth the drive alone, amazing! We had the sea bass and souvlaki entrees. All very good but it is the octipus that will make me come back. Alex said they are moving to a bigger place soon. I recommend you try them out yourself.

We like this place. Cozy and quiet. Friendly atmosphere. Coming there is like visiting old friends. Food is great as well as the service. We definitely will be coming back

What a gem! My husband and I were looking for a healthy dinner option with outside seating and we were not disappointed. The service and food are superb. When we are back in Vegas, we will come back to try more menu items.

Cute, quaint & authentic. I had a friend bring me here & it was a nice surprise. EVERYTHING we had .... even down to the quality of their clear olive oil was impressive (you know you have the real stuff when you can taste the pungency or that "kick" from the peppery oleocanthal. The sea salt crusted sea bass was the standout of the night, and a must try. Elia's It's a perfect place to accommodate: families, business meetings or a private intimate dinner. Definitely will be returning!

Can't say enough good things about this place! Food was absolutely fantastic! Get a couple of different things, everything is good. Especially try anything on the dessert menu, they are amazing! The owner was there, he's very personable. All the servers were excellent, polite and helpful. We were left alone to eat our meal, but our drinks were always full and someone always cleared away our empty plate. Some of the best service I’ve had anywhere. Seriously, go here. It is not super cheap, but the food is very high quality, the service is great, and you won't regret spending the money!

Remodeled and in a corner of the building so hard to spot BUT totally worth it! Food was amazing 😍 I don't even like beets but the Beet salad was so good! Got a great drink with soda water, pineapple juice and a splash of blackberry syrup and it was amazing too! I will for sure be back.

Anastasia was our greeter/ seater. George was our server. He was helped by Alex and Alex, and Zeek. We will be back. My previous dining experience was excellent as well. The restaurant has a great location and very nice interior. I had the vegetarian baked potatoes and vegetables which comes with very delicious feta cheese and salad. The staff were friendly and they speak many languages. Could add a bit volume to the music, otherwise all was good.

Excellent, professional and friendly staff. Food full of excellent Mediterranean flavors. The halibut was flaky, meaty , delicious and full of great flavors. The chicken Souvlaki was tender, juicy and full of great Mediterranean flavors. The zucchini chips were crispy and seasoned to perfection , dipping it into the tzatziki sauce was the perfect combination!

Best lentils soup in Vegas. I truly believe it. This restaurant is a gem, everything we’ve tried there is delicious. So many good options. You can each order, or share different appetizers and salads. Many made at home yummies. Plenty of vegan options (like the lentils soup). Unique drinks from Greece available, beer, wine and good cocktails. Bar available too. Nice patio for when the weather is nice. The Panzaria is delicious. The fried zucchini chips amazing. Do your best to visit.

Great food and great service! The lamb chops were amazing! They make their homemade Tzatziki sauce in house that is amazing. We will definitely be going back. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu!

Visiting from out of town. This little place is absolutely amazing its beautiful dinning area, the impeccable service, the food even more amazing the flavors, the presentation, the affordable prices oh and tha amazing amazing food. I recently joined an app called Timeleft. You have dinner with 5 strangers, male or female only. You don't get the location of the meet until the morning of. It was interesting and a whole other story, but the restaurant y'all. The restaurant! The food and the service were impeccable. I love Mediterranean food and I was not disappointed. First of all, our server Preston didn't seem to have another table. If he did, I couldn't tell because he was always readily available. Second of all, I am ngl, I hate waiting for cold or warm food. That's a crime and it should be unacceptable to every diner. When I tell you my food was hot and fresh, believe me! It was straight from the chef to our table with no wait in between. And the pita bread! Pretty sure the dough had just risen and the patties were freshly formed and baked right before coming to the table. It was to savor. I will be returning for the bread alone. I loved my actual dish and the Mediterranean salad with tomatoes also. Just an all around 10 out of 10.

This place was amazing. We were greeted by the owner as soon as we entered and he made us feel very welcome. The waiters took their time greeting us and answering all of our questions and gave us great recommendations. We ended up dining family style and sharing 4 entrees which were all delicious. Highly recommend!

This restaurant offers a REAL Greek food ! When I’m there I feel like being in a Taverna in Greece! The food is amazing and all the personnel is so kind, helpful and know when to approach you to ask you if everything is okay or if we need something! I strongly recommend to everyone to visit this place and in N have a real Greek taste which you cannot find in any other restaurant!

There is no better Greek restaurant in the entire Las Vegas valley. The food is authentic and phenomenal every visit. To top it off, the entire staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Skip the strip and book a reservation here and you will not be disappointed.

6 of us enjoyed our late lunch at Elia in Summerlin last week. Someone recommended that we try this place, so we finally made it there. The venue is very nice with a pleasant atmosphere and ambiance. We were greeted at the door and taken to a table for 6 in a cozy corner. Sitting 3 on the booth side and 3 in chairs worked out really well. Preston, our friendly and attentive server, brought out bread and olive oil. Both delicious! We started with feta & house olives and tzatziki. I'm not an olive fan however I do love good feta so I was happy. Entrees included the horiatki salads, one with spanakopita on the side and one with chicken souvlaki on the side, bifteki, and lamb souvlaki. All very tasty offerings. My cousin, who loves spanakopita, thought hers was really yummy. The fries that came with the bifteki and souvlaki were quite good. We didn't have room for dessert so we'll have to try some of those next time. We're always on the lookout for good Greek restaurants so we're glad we found Elia.

We enjoyed several items including appetizers, an entree, and dessert. Food was all nicely presented and delicious. Nice wine selection. Service was good but the waiter could have been a bit more educated on the menu. Overall would go back!
