Stopped at La Patria for a quick bite and was seriously impressed. If you’re looking for a great Mexican restaurant in Cedar Park, this is a solid choice. The food came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they’re serving. Everything tasted authentic and well-prepared — not just thrown together. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive without hovering. Perfect spot when you want something quick but still high quality. I’ll definitely be back to try more off the menu. 🌮🔥
The food is awesome! The atmosphere was great, it's very spacious. The staff was really nice and helpful. We are from Austin and really enjoyed the food here. I suggest the Tex-Mex plate. The mango/strawberry frozen margarita is not weak, definitely a must 🍹
We had breakfast tacos and they were delicious. My wife is vegetarian and she had no problem ordering here. My daughter loved the music they had playing, and everything seemed very clean.
Love the food and the staff. This has been my go to place since I moved to Leander 8 years ago. Originally from southeast Texas, I always need fo find a place that has good breakfast tacos, enchiladas and other tex mex favorites and they hit on all of them.
We have been going to this restaurant for a decade. We went for the last time today because we are moving out of state. Their food is consistent and their Mexican martini’s perfect! I assume this is family run because the same amazing women have been serving us that long. We were hugged today when we told them it was our last time eating here.
The food was really good. The service sucked.the waitress looked like she was mad. She came to my table when I was already done eating asking if everything was all right I asked her for the ticket and then she just like dropped it on my table my first time there never been there before it’ll be my last
This place is legit. My mom and I were visiting in Leander from Frisco TX. We were volunteering in the search and clean up down by Sandy Creek area. Found this place right around the corner from the Holiday Inn. 1st night we had menudo, guys MENUDO on a Thursday, who does that, right! This place had menudo and it was like moms. We also had the Caldo de Res, so so so good. 2nd night, didn't disappoint either. I had the Bistec a la Mexicana, OMG the best tender meats and spicy which I love. Mom had Chile Relleno and she loved it. Mom is picky and this place we both loved. Chips and queso, cold beer and the tortillas were all good. Place is legit. Great prices too! You can tell this was the neighborhood place that everyone goes to. The staff knew people coming in. They were friendly. Everything was so good that I wish I lived nearby to go each week.
Had lunch at La Tapatia next to HEB, I got 2 carne asada with just cilantro and 1 shreded chicken tacos, the carne asada was very tasty and tender! My wife had the chilaquiles in red sauce, she loved them too! We also got a coffee and a decaf which sadly both were both not good. Everything else was excellent, good and quick service and the food came out fast and hot! We have been coming here for years and we will continue to do so since they are very consistent with good quality!
The first time experience was nice. It was slow & and quiet, which was pleasant for the dining experience we were having. Our server wasn't popping up every 2 seconds for us, which was a relief since we weren't in a rush & came to serve us when we were ready. The food was hot & full of flavor, so I highly recommend anything on the menu. I had the shredded chicken Chimichanga with rice & refried beans. It's definitely filling & very satisfying.
We had a 20 minute wait time for the five of us but that was expected considering it was a Sunday. The place was packed which was a good sign and the business was doing very well. We were seated promptly and a bowl of nachos with a couple of salsas were in front of us. The nachos were fresh and crisp and the salsas were tasty. I got the Tex Mex bowl which was fantastic. It has great flavor and since the waitress recommended chicken, I obliged. Couldn’t complain. And all of this at around $13.50, that’s a steal!! Authentic Mexican food in Leander, cannot complain. 10/10 would recommend!
Great food , decent prices, clean establishment and friendly service what more could you ask for? Slamming Queso? They got it. Vegetarian Fajitas? They got it. Big as your face burrito? You guessed it, they got it. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back again.
Ordered 2 pounds of barbacoa from La Tapatia. It definitely got the job done. Lots of food for the price, which is always nice. I'll definitly order again.
Overall this place was satisfactory. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The plate comes with potatoes and bacon but with no beans. Usually most resturants serve their plates with beans also. The fried potatoes were ok. The bacon a little overcooked, but some people like it that way. My main disappointment was the tortillas. If I'm right they tasted more like store bougth tortillas. So as far as the food I ate it was ok. Probably wouldn't visit this place again. The service could of been better. The waitress could of come by more often.
food is decent but this is the 4 or 5 time I went up there and it was closed for some random reason. Probably best to call and make sure they are open before heading that way. Edit* Do not order beef fajitas here. They substitute chuck roast for skirt steak. I know many won't believe it so I have added a photo. The vegetables are also raw, so the flavor isn't right. The rest of the menu is on point though.
We ordered ahead for pickup tonight, and unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. When I called, the girls on the phone seemed really confused. After I gave my order, one of them tried to hurry me off the phone, but I stopped her to read it back to make sure it was correct — it wasn’t. When I arrived, a girl greeted me, but just a few feet away, a guy was reading off a total. I asked, “Oh, are you talking to me?” and he didn’t even acknowledge me. The sign at the counter said to “check your orders before leaving,” and I had a gut feeling something would be off based on the earlier confusion, but all the bags were tied so tightly that we’d have to rip them open and lose the bags completely. We counted the containers and left, hoping for the best. Sure enough, when we got home, one of the meals was wrong. I called back, and the guy said, “Oh, it must have gotten confused — can you come by and get the right order?” I explained we were already home and eating, but there was no other resolution offered, and he didn’t seem to care much at all. This is exactly why we usually go to Jardins down the road — they’re more professional, the staff is attentive, and they actually care about getting your order right.
I ordered the chicken fajitas and received very small pieces of chicken. Biggest pieces were about a quarter inch in length. It was mostly onion and bell peppers making the skillet look full. It was definitely not worth $18.99. I will not be coming back.
