The food was good plenty of it, but they had NO diet coke, that aside the waiter was excellent, his service was head and shoulders above anything I have experienced in a long time. I give it 5 stars because of him.

We are staying next door at the HIE. Ordered take out and I was very well taken care of! From the Ribeye to the chicken fried steak and corn dog the food was excellent! Had plenty of napkins and forks, etc.. definitely a place to visit on your stay in Levelland!!

I love this place. It's always so clean and comfortable, and the food is so good. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken! Their sweet tea is delicious. Swackhammer's is a favorite of mine for sure.

This was the best place in town to get A Chicken Fried Steak , loaded baked potato, and a very nice and fresh Salad. Very helpful and the Customer Service, outstanding ,upfront . Only bc my order had been called in, I didnt comment on the servers. . Thanku so much.

Small town reviews are tricky. *Most nasty reviews are bitter ex employees.- Rolls are made in house, smells delicious when you get lucky and they just came out. The steaks are cut nicely and cook made to order. Chicken is always good any way you ask for it fried or grilled!!.The home made onion rings are fabulous!!. Kinda like fudruckers but, better since you dont have to drive to Lubbock!!💗Salad made to order never brown, with in house salad dressing. Give it a try. The ranch alone is just like Wing Stop but also better since it's here at home no need to drive there and back. Call in's are welcome so carry out is a breeze. Staff is local and caring. Good food minus the pricey tag of most steak house's. A Gem for sure!

My food was prepared exactly the way I ordered it and my waitress was very beautiful and kind. I wish I could have left her a bigger tip. They serve up the best sweet tea anywhere.

Very nice restaurant with selection of meals from steak, chicken to seafood. Kids menu of hamburger, chicken, steak with choices of vegetables. Have standard fare of drinks tea, coffee, soft drinks with refills. Have a nice offer of appetizers before meals and small offering of desserts. There is a small salad bar of vegetables and different salads for meals. Modestly priced menu.

Good is always good. Wait staff normally does a great job. Chicken fried steak is really good. My son had the Sharon's spacial and loved it.

Best home town cooking in the area. I was told the meat was fresh from the farm and they have a small meat market in the restaurant. I can go on and on how great the customer service was. The staff spoke as if they have known me for years. Can't bet it great food friendly servers.

Traveling and staying overnight in the hotel behind Swackhammer’s, so decided to try it. I was not disappointed! Friendly staff, fast service, delicious food at a good price. My chicken fried steak was tender and the breading was perfect. The white gravy is as good as I have had anywhere. The sweet tea is freshly brewed and I drank my share! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Give them a B rating there steaks were all over done had to send 2 of them back. Otherwise all other food was good.

Catfish was gooooood. Steak fingers were good, just a tad undercooked. Onion rings were great and gigantic. #nomnomnomnom salad bar was dying but it was late so it's expected. Don't forget a sweet tea to help wash down all that deliciousness.

Good food with a big enough menu anyone can find something to eat. The service was great and the prices were not too bad. This would be a great place to come with the family with good sized portions.

The chicken fried steak and salad bar are decent. Typically, when I order anything else it's just ok. The restaurant does have a nice atmosphere and, if you live here in Levelland, you're sure to see someone you know at dinner time.

Salad bar was wonderful. Kids said they have the best hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. My husband loved the steak fingers and sweet potato. Our waitress was phenomenal.

The service was wonderful! Workers were friendly and on top of refills. The salad bar has everything you could possibly want on a salad. A huge plus for me because I love me a good hardy salad. I had the chicken fried steak and it was a little bland. I would definitely go again but try a different dish next time.

Salad and Baked potatoes with all the fixins, very good! My steak was a little overcooked for me, I do not think it was a ribeye cut. Also, the staff should have informed us that prices in menu were not correct. Due to beef& food shortages, prices had gone up on certain menu & steak items. $3 added to the price on the menu..&13.99 was now $16.99. We were needless to say a little upset! Even with the sign at the register, no one told us upfront. Of course we missed the salad bar, but understand that being closed for now. Waitress, was serving a lot of tables on her own, so she did a great job! We left the yip on the table according to what we thought our food cost was. So, she may have shorted herself by not letting us know in advance. Mentioned it to cashier.

The food was very good, except the service was LOUSY! I had to get up & refill our tea glasses after we asked the waitress twice. No dinner rolls. Basically we ate our supper that was served, after that we no longer received any service.Oh except our bill which we always leave a generous tip, but after the LOUSY service you got it NO TIP.

The food was great but our waitress messed up our order then took 10 minutes getting a refill on my drink and more catfish for the all you can eat. The troubling thing is that there were hardly any other patrons and she still took forever.

Ordered Syeak with Potato. Potato well cooked, bland, asked for butter and cheese, was served dry. Steak was slightly over cooked for my liking, but was close. Steak was not seasoned at all, very bland. With very few customers in store, I figured drinks would remain fu, which was not the case. Most likely to not return.

First time visiting.... The Ribeye was cooked correctly, however wasn't the best cut of ribeye I've ever had. The service was great, waitress was super friendly and attentive.... Sign on the door notified of the price increase on beef entrees, which I understand The salad I saw go past me looked good, and the chips, hot and fresh, and salsa I had was quite good. The upkeep of the building is poor. The cleanliness could be improved and needs it desperately. We sat in a booth close to the salad bar and the wall next to us was filthy with food. The menus felt icky and grimly. They could use a good wipe down as well. Swackhammers used to be top notch in cleanliness. Our food was delicious and the service was wonderful.

I always loved eating there.This time we ordered.We went to salad bar and the ranch dressing was so watered down it was like water.They forgot to refill our drinks and never asked us if we needed anything with our dinner

Furniture is falling apart. Service was poor at 1:30 on a Tues. Salad bar had almost nothing on it. Baked potato was mush. Burger was mushy.

I was not impressed with the service or the food. The steak had no flavor, and we came in when it was slow and got checked on very little (once aside from having food delivered and drinks brought). Will not be back.

They kept get my orders wrong. I would order a large Ribeye steak, MEDIUM RARE and they would prepare MEDIUM WELL. I told them about their mistakes so...I gave up on them.

Came here with my parents and grandparents. They loved it and thought it was great and well priced. We waited a long time to get our food. It also took forever to get seated. I know that it was busy but we felt like the waitress left us and never came back. Food was bland and just okay to myself and my sister. Waited a long time for less than decent food. At least at Mcdonalds they have a dollar menu. We will not be back.

When you order food from this place it takes quite a while to get it to your table and when it comes to your table part of it is missing and the other part is raw or overcooked but I do love the catfish they got great catfish and I will be going back for that great tasty catfish.

On 1-25-2022 I called in a carry-out order. It took 40 minutes to get my order. I did not get butter & sour cream for my baked potato on one order. On the other order I did not get my double mash potatoes that I asked for & I didn't get any rolls.

Our experience at this restaurant was embarrassing. We arrived with an hour to spare before an appointment. We ordered shortly after sitting, and luckily we were one of the first guests. We noticed everyone who came after us had their food, and ours still wasn’t ready. We kept being told ‘just a few more minutes.’ We finally went to the register to say we had to leave, and they told me that our food was ready. They took it back to the kitchen & put in Togo boxes. I stayed behind to get the food and the other two left for their appointment. They quickly returned to get cap & gown from my car. I handed off the food so they could eat on the way. I stayed behind to ask the manager for a discount since we waited so long. I told her that we had waited almost an hour, but never received our food. She loudly showed me the receipt and said “do you see this number? It says 1220 which means you only waited 15-20 minutes.” She was very hateful towards me. I was completely embarrassed. I apologized & said I would never have complained if I had known we weren’t there as long as I thought. I kept saying I was so sorry as she explained that they have the girls write the time that the order is taken. By then, everyone was watching & I was groveling. She told the cashier to comp us one of the shrimp meals. I said over and over that I don’t want a discount since I was ‘wrong.’ She said ‘it’s ok, it’s already comped,’ & she stormed off back into the kitchen. When I got to the appointment I said ‘well, at least granddaughter got to eat before going to the appointment.’ Nope, she couldn’t eat because it was a complete buttery mess. The top box was turned upside down when they handed it to me which then spilled into all of the other items. I told my granddaughter later what had happened, & she said that it was true. Instead of arriving at 12:20 & being waited on right away, we arrived at noon as I stated. How do I know? A selfie taken at the restaurant shows we were there at noon. And we let them know ahead of time we needed to be through by 12:50. We were assured that would not be a problem. I don’t normally write bad reviews, but I’m 63 & was treated like a child in front of many customers. It was awful. We won’t be back.

We picked up a to go order so we did not leave a tip. The entitled lady at the cash register said, "Thanks for the tip!"in a snarky voice. I asked, "This was a To go order. Did you go above a beyond to deserve a tip?" She said "No but everyone leaves a tip even on to go orders so that is rude. " I absolutely tired of the mentality of everyone thinking they deserve a tip for performing their most basic job functions they get paid to do.

Salad bar was yummy. Service was very slow and the place was not busy at all. Took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged and drinks to our table of 3. My beef fajitas quesadillas were on the greasy side ( tortilla was barely toasted and greasy). All in all, not exceptional, but decent. I would go again and try something else

Utterly the worst place I have ever eaten. The staff are lazy and racist. The food was mediocre at it's best, and cold. The last time I went there, the staff copped attitude toward my wife and I. This place needs to be shut down.

Not sure what is happening to this place, the workers are very sweet and friendly but the food was NOT. The fries were cold, my granddaughter's entire meal was cold, my other family member, his chicken fried steak looked like my chicken strips! Our waitress was super sweet.

Sat in a corner both near the TV and had a good view of the back. Saw a cook drop a steak on the ground, pick it back up and walk towards what appeared to be the kitchen. That steak should have been thrown out immediately. Our host was an older woman with blonde hair, she was extremely rude and dismissive. Alaoheard what appeared to be a manager make racist comments about Mexicans. Will not be returning to this racist steakhouse ever again.

Worst place I have ever tried to get food from! I called to order a togo order and the girl didnt know the menu at all! She didn't know what a sirloin steak was what I had gotten was a peice of hamburger meat. I also ordered a ribeye medium and when I got home it was well done! I was unsatisfied big time! I asked the girl if she knew what a sirloin steak was and she said im sorry im not very familiar with steaks. Im sorry but I work at a steak house in lubbock and we had to know our menu front to back before we could work alone without shadowing someone. Thus place only had a few people in there when I went in and it was in the middel of any normal resurant dinner rush hours. I can deffinantly see why!

This was the worse I've been too in years. We waited 4 minutes till a whole hour for our food and we were the third table in the place. A van showed up with kids 30 minutes after us and they got served first. I don't think so

I only gave a one star rating because I had to.The service was terrible!! When we first got there the hostess set us down we proceeded to let her know that we were expecting two other people. She took drink orders and our appetizer orders (we ordered three of them) after a long while the waitress finally came and took our orders for our main meal. By this time my son and his girlfriend were there and she she took their drink orders but completely forgot their drinks. We ordered two salads with ranch and she brought the wrong dressings so she had to go back. My sons girlfriend asked for a salad as well and also asked for ranch. When she came back it she had brought Thousand Island. So again she had to go get the right dressing. She honestly look like having more than one table to serve was too much for her. Because it seem like she was messing up on other tables as well or forgetting them. At one point blamed the cooks for everything that was going wrong.I had to get up myself and ask for drinks for my son and his girlfriend. Second waitress brought those and a third brought the chips and queso. They never brought out the onion rings until the meal was almost over. When our meals finally did come everything came but my vegetables so my chicken sat waiting until they were done. The hostess and other two waitresses were very sweet. Needless to say we will not becoming back.

This was sad. Mac and cheese was Kraft Mac and Cheese out of the box. Rolls were packaged from Walmart. Coke was out of a 2-liter or can. Gravy was packaged gravy. Paid $50 for a meal we could of had at home for $10.

It was worth half if what we paid. The chicken fried steak was tough in spots, the baked potatoe was fine. The apple crisp was only canned apple filling with granola on top. It was more like a road stop short order cafe. The help was sparse. Oh well, it has really gone down. I will not go back. I should have paid $5 not 10.

I am a 65 yr old senior and sat there and waited over 55 minutes waiting for my food. All I got was a tea and a salad. I ordered the special of the day and others got there half hour after I did and a van of school kids showed up and they ate before I did. I will never go back again!!! Gauranteed!! Then they want to run out to my car and give me free food. No way

Went to eat as a family of 4 with a baby. I was checked on only once to get order had to get my check from cashier ribeye was burnt from grill not being cleaned asked for medium rare patty on my burger got well done was wanting to tip a good $30 but after that i dont think it deserved a tip and questioning if i will ever go back seen plenty of other tables getting check on and it was upsetting

Our experience today was not good! Took an hour to get our food, then it wasn't right. I went a head and ate it because I was scared at how long it would take to get it back. Then took 10 minutes just to pay our tab and we were second in line! They did discount $3 off of our meal for my food being wrong. Don't know if we will be back.

I should have listened to the reviews. I ordered a small ribeye and grilled veggies. The veggies were cold and the ribeye was not a ribeye, maybe a sirloin but it was cut thin enough it could have been skirt steak. I have been a cater for years and know my steaks what I got was definitely not a ribeye. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant.

Service was rough. We only saw our waitress when she brought us our drinks song then again when she brought us our food. The restaurant was not packed and it took them over an hour to bring us our food. (Remember we ran out if drink 15 min into the wait and didn’t see our waitress) once the food arrived it was cold and cooked poorly. The fried food was fried in old oil and you can taste it. I wish Google would allow you to give a place Zero Stars. PS the pictures they post online and in Google are not real pictures of the food they cook.

I can only hope they will get better, it took over an hour before I asked our waitress when our food was coming so she said she’d go check and came back and said they’re plating it now but when it came out my chicken was barely warm and the baked potato was obviously microwaved at the last second my stir fri veggies were cold and the mushrooms were greasy and straight out of a can the covered cheese was hard and set up so it had been sitting somewhere in a corner, my wife’s chicken fried steak was mostly cold and her mashed potatoes were obviously instant flakes. Our sodas were so flat I couldn’t see one bubble in them and the dinner rolls weren’t fresh at all as we could smell the yeast in them getting stale. Our waitress was nice but she could see I was upset so I think she avoided us as she checked on the table next to us 6 times and us 3 times in over 90 minutes. I’m not trying to slam or hurt this establishment but hope this will get them to improve exponentially, we will try again in a few weeks hopefully when we can order a steak as they have had some setback from the fire but it was our first visit and not impressed, please try harder especially the cook staff.

I had high hopes. Very disappointed. My husband’s medium-rare steak was well done. The grilled veggies were unbearably salty! Have no idea about the corn on the cob I ordered as it never made it to the table! The shrimp I ordered was sketchy and I avoided a good portion of it due to gray spots (raw?). The Mac and cheese was obviously out of a box, the dinner rolls were straight out of a package. The ONLY good things were the tea and our waitress!

Ordered ribeyes for me and my son. Had less than 2-4oz of meat on steaks and 80-90% of steak was fat. Food was average at best. Would avoid if you are after steaks.

ABSOLUTELY nothing vegan with proper protein to eat. The salad bar is a joke. The salad looks like it was dumped out of a bag. No romaine or spinach, only iceberg, cabbage, & carrots. There was a container of shredded cheese as big as the salad. There were cucumbers, tomatoes, & sunflower seeds. No dressing to choose from. Ranch, Thousand Island, & French. No Italian--so sad. My husband ordered popcorn shrimp, tater tots, & mac & cheese. The shrimp & tater tots looked like they came out of a bag &/or box & dumped in an air fryer or regular fryer & the mac & cheese looked like Kraft.

The food was cold. Service was slow, sat with an empty tea glass for 15 mins. Disappointed 😞 going to Cheddars or Texas Roadhouse will be a better experience. Just saying 🤷‍♂️

If i could give this place zero stars I would. First off it took the waiter 10-20 mins just to get our drink orders and food orders. Second we ordered a taco salad and a chicken cordon blue, the taco salad tasted sour and did not taste like a salad, we asked them why it would taste like that and they said it's the pickled jalapeños but we've never had pickled jalapeños that taste sour, then the chicken cordon blue looked like school food it's just a chiken breast with some deli sliced ham and melted Swiss cheese looked horrible. Third none of the prices on the menu are updated it looks like they tax the food then tax you again at check out never coming there again.
