A couple of the forks were a little dirty as well as the serving plates ( 2) other than that everything about the meal was absolutely perfect! We were dining as a family of five with a 1-year-old and everyone enjoyed their meal. I highly recommend lunch hours for a relaxed more personal dining service. We did not feel rushed, we were comfortably sat, we were able to talk and have a great meal! We will absolutely be back here again! And I highly recommend joining Landry's if you are going to dine at this location. We have been a Landry's family for years and it continues to reward us! Our top meals were the lobster bisque, the lobster tail, and the fried cod! I did remove the berries from the birthday creme brulee because they were very dried out and wilted but aside from that drinks were great! And the food was perfect 💚

Wr were in town from NYC Food 5 star Service 5 star. The server we had named Zion. Impeccable service. Friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Should give him a raise. Service with a smile is key and he was just A1 on his Service. Atmosphere on Christmas Eve. Fun, fast with food Service and drinks were great.

The service was excellent from the time we walked in the door. We were seated quickly as well as received our drinks quickly. Our waitress Dawn was amazing, very helpful and kind as well as the floor manager. She helped me out a great deal. Food could have been better. However, I'll let the service out shine the food review. Will I come back? I've been here maybe 5 times, this is my 1st time disappointed with the food.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick drink, and dinner before a movie. We love coming here. The Oysters are always outstanding! Even at $4.00 each! Only complaint was my swordfish wasn’t great, had a cold spot! Drinks were nice!

I’m so impressed with this restaurant. The menu has so many great things to pick from. We tried a seasonal appetizer, the Parmesan baked oysters. They were delicious. We then tried the kale and arugula salad. Out of this world!! This was seasonal as well. Must try it! We had them split it up into two dishes for us to split. I had the scallop and butternut squash risotto. My husband got the twin lobster tails. They were absolutely divine. Both of them. The lobster tails were so good and cooked so well that we didn’t even need the butter they provided. And the risotto dish was so delicious. We had a few cocktails too and were feeling tipsy after two of them. We always can appreciate strong cocktails. This was an expensive meal but very much worth it. We also bought the loyalty card for $25, which we feel will be worth it to have.

Great great great. We visited for the first time on our anniversary last week. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip with lobster and the spicy shrimp appetizers. Both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. We've been thinking about the dip everyday since we left. For entrees we ordered two pounds of snow crab legs and two lobster tails. Everything was fresh and seasoned great. The cocktails were also very good, finished off with a creme brulee that packed flavor. Will definetly be back!

Great place for good seafood. Fresh shucked oysters were excellent. I had the seared yellowtail tuna which was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was a little slow and didn't refill drinks until we were almost done. Besides that it was very enjoyable.

My husband and I love to come in after running some errands in the area to enjoy a happy hour beverage and their delicious fish sandwiches! We will definitely be regulars.

Enjoyed our birthday Luncheon. We ordered lobster bisque and ceasar salad for starters and we NEW ENGLAND SEAFOOD ROLL it came with cole slaw, fries and fried onion string...there was plenty of lobster, crab and shrimp throughout the sandwich and the roll was soft and butter. I will be order again

Skip was our waiter and he was very helpful in suggesting meal options. I ordered the blackened cod and my daughter got the fish and chips with hush puppies. I had $100 in gift cards and still ended up spending an additional $50 with tip for 3 people. Food was very good, so it was worth it.

Great restaurant for seafood with other choices available. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Floorplan divides dining areas into smaller spaces. Easy to carry on a conversation.

Fantastic Happy Hour until 6:30pm. The potstickers were my favorite of the apps we ordered. I enjoyed the mango-jito. Great flavor balance. Brenda and Margo took excellent care of us.

Great seafood even better service from Lyndsay at the bar. Arrived 7PM Friday night and it was jammed but I got a seat at the bar and had a great meal - grilled Atlantic Salmon. Cooked perfectly (pink in the middle). I have never had a bad meal here.

The bacon wrapped shrimp is really good. I also had the Mediterranean chicken I didn't expect it to be breaded , but it was still good nonetheless

Excellent choices between the salmon, the fillet mignon, and the shrimp scampi noodles. They also had a fantastic crème brûlé which I and my girlfriend adore. (I ate dinner here at no cost because we were attending a financial planners event.)

I took my family to Mitchell’s Fish Market to celebrate my wife's birthday, and everything was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service stood out—our server was both professional and very attentive. We all had a great evening and would definitely come back again. A great place for a special dinner!

First impression walking in, decently busy restaurant, looks beautiful, smells amazing. The host walks up, radiant smile, dressed elegant, looking gorgeous and smelling lovely, takes us to our seat, great private table. Our server was Brian, he was funny, engaging and quick but patient! We enjoyed our meals so much, and the wine was incredible! We will absolutely be back to see Brian again! Truly an all around wonderful experience. Thank you!

Mitchell's is one of my favorite area restaurants. My sister and I stop in for lunch because it's my favorite place. I love the big fish sandwich. My sister, crab cakes. We enjoy sitting in the bar area. It's like being on vacation and grabbing a meal as you are off doing things. The staff is always so friendly and takes a minute to check how you are doing and explains the menu. If you are out and need a nice restaurant you should treat yourself to Mitchell's Seafood House. The food is excellent. Enjoy!

I've been to Mitchell's years ago and it was okay. This time it was wonderful. Food was good, the waiter was so nice and amazing. We were sitting under a vent but the manager handled it. Good job to the staff and improvements from before.

Went here for mother's day. Very busy establishment. Very clean. Wonderful service. Food is extremely fresh. The prices are decently high but that's expected with high quality food. I'm giving it 4 stars because my salmon lacking flavor BUT everything else was delicious!

Ok, I pulled up to Mitchell's FISH MARKET for dinner with my sisters. This my first time eating here, and I so happy I gave them a chance because the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp and crab linguine, and the shrimp were a little overcooked, but overall It was very tasty. I would definitely repeat and put Mitchell's in my going out rotation.

Went here with 4 people for dinner and had a nice time. Everyone enjoyed their food (with the exception of the broccolini, which was rejected by everyone that had it). The service was good too. I had the Shanghai Seafood Sampler and ate the whole thing. Very tasty. For me this is 4 stars not 5 because it's just very uninspired feeling in this restaurant. Very corporate upscale dining feel. Prices seem a little high, as well. The interior feels a little dated... Couple dirty water glasses... Staff seemed a little stressed... Little things that add up.

One of the Landry restaurants... hadn't been here in awhile. Was in the area and thought I'd order dinner to support. Calamari was good but not the best I've had. The green beans mixed in were a nice touch. It was served with what tasted like an Asian chili soy based sauce, which didn't pair well in my opinion. Maybe I'm used to more creamy sauces and aiolis from other places. The two lobster tail special on Tuesdays served with mashed redskin potatoes and asparagus though was a hit! So good! Even the kids enjoyed it! The fish and chips were also good, but the fish slightly on the dry side. Still devoured it 😋 All in all still a great meal for takeout, that I drove almost an hour to pickup! Next time I'm ordering my fave Chilean sea bass, if still on menu.

(Last visited 12/21/2022.) Hanging out in Michigan on business and I've always heard great things about Mitchell's Seafood House, so today's the day I take Mom and Dad there to check it out! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Having a private parking lot is a huge plus because it takes away the stresses of having to find someplace to park, then paying for it and having to walk further than necessary to get to the restaurant. Once inside you're transported to what feels like the northeast, but like a modernistic version of it. The outside is a standalone brick building, but inside boasts dark tiles, chic nautical themes and lights walls/ceilings that give the space a more open appeal. It wasn't very loud in here at all either. Service: Raj took care of us and they were excellent. There was nothing that we had to ask for. Food: So known for their seafood, I stuck to that exclusively. I started off with the Maine Lobster Bisque. It was deliciously smooth, flavorful and creamy, but was missing chunks of lobster which I have seen in almost every other lobster bisque that I've had. No big deal. For my entree I went with the Dynamic Duo which consists of a stuffed lobster tail, grilled BBQ shrimp, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The presentation wasn't the best, but the food was pretty good. I loved the fact that they bring a device to the table that allows the butter for the lobster to be set on top of a small flame to keep it from congealing. I had never seen anything like that before! The food was delicious! Shrimp felt a little overcooked though. Value: At the time my soup was $10.90 and my entree was $42.00. Now, the soup is $11.50 and the Dynamic Duo is no longer offered according to their online menu. Naturally, this is a seafood restaurant and it's going to be expensive. Bring the wallet for sure. Lol. In conclusion, I liked this place and can understand the hype for sure. Would I come back? Sure! It wouldn't be my choice, but I'd have no problem joining someone else if they wanted to check it out. Thank you for reading.

We had a lovely dinner there tonight. We got there at 4:00 p.m. So it wasn't busy yet but by the time we left at 6:30 it was pretty packed. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and told us the specials and she had opinions on the best dishes and cocktails which was great. Her service was top notch. The food was also very good. I had twin lobster tails, and my cousin had the seafood boil. Both of these items were on their Memorial day special menu. I wish these were both on the menu permanently because I'd definitely get it again. The lobster tail was very good and so was the seafood boil. Lots of food on the seafood boil. My cousin ended up taking leftovers home. We started with the calamari and it was pretty good. It was a tad bland on first bite and it needed just a tad of salt but that was no problem because I just used the salt on the table. I am not one that normally adds salt to my food, but it needed it. I had the house salad which was very yummy and my cousin had the clam chowder which she thought was delicious. When our meals arrived we were very impressed with them. The flavors were great and the portions were good. The cocktails weren't the strongest but they were pretty good flavorwise. I had a house martini and I think it was a lot of juice in there so the waitress did have them remake it and it came back much better. So just a heads up on that, the cocktails are creative and pretty, but they're also on the sweeter side and not strong. I like that they brought lemon in a hot towel at the end of the meal. I don't know if they do that for every meal but they did with these specials. It's a cute place, it's spacious and I think it could be good for smaller groups. The location is also pretty accessible right off the freeway so it's easy to get to. I'll definitely be back to try other things.

First thing’s first, the server was tremendous and I feel terrible I can’t recall her name. Funny, upbeat, good recommendations, and attentive. Next, the food was great. I was on a tear with Chilean sea bass orders, this being the third Chilean sea bass for dinner in a row that week, and I can confidently say it was the best. Our group was seated promptly and but for the table seating where the person behind me was on top of me, requiring us to play chair Jenga to get out of our seats, this was a great and enjoyable meal. Will return if ever back in the area.

Food excellent as usual. The service was mediocre. Someone dropped off our food (not our server) very quickly without saying a word and didn't hear us ask for salt. Then at LEAST 30 minutes passed before we were able to flag down our waiter. I mean isn't it sort of reasonable to expect that our waiter would stop by the table within some reasonable period of time after our food arrives to check if everything is all right or if anything is needed? The decaf coffee was good, but the regular coffee was stale and bitter tasting.

R
Robb Seltzer

Friendly staff. Good cocktails. Service was a bit slow and not 5* attentive. Had to send my dinner back as that fish was very overcooked, but the replacement was perfect. Or dessert (cake) was served still frozen.

I like eating at Mitchell's, they have good seafood normally. This last visit missed the mark a little bit though.....the lettuce was somewhat limp, not crispy the way I think fresh lettuce should be (the dressing was great). My broiled walleye was a touch undercooked. On the other hand, my wife really enjoyed her meal (she had the lobster tails). The service is always outstanding at Mitchell's and if I wanted, I know I could've sent my entire meal back for another and they wouldn't hesitate to try and make it right. All-said, I'll keep going back there to get my seafood fix...everyone has an off night!!

Went for happy hour in the bar after work. The entire restaurant was packed, and we ended up waiting 40 minutes for a booth in the bar area. There were several open tables ready in the bar area, and they stayed empty for a very long time. The kind of unfriendly main hostess said that these tables were on a wait. I don't know what that meant, but I didn't want to press her for a better answer because I got the feeling that I might have to wait even longer if I did. It was worth the wait, though. I got a gigantic, delicious fish sandwich and fries with a pomegranate martini, and it didn't break my budget. The service could have been a little better. The server never returned to ask if I wanted another drink, or even to refill my water, but I make allowances since it was so busy and the happy hour pricing was so good. The water tasted a little chemically though, definitely not a clean, crisp filtered water, could have really used another martini.

D
Denise Duran

Very noisy, overpriced, cooks don't de-vein the shrimp? I shouldn't have to do that with a $39 dish. Shanghai seafood sampler was minimal. 3 pieces of shrimp, 3 scallops and an overcooked, small piece of salmon on a plop of spinach. Ponzu sauce wasn't the best. Crab cake appetizer was a disappointment. Waitress forgot stuff multiple times, and had to flag her down to check out. Spending the same amount with better food and service at J Alexander or Hyde Park. Go to those ones instead.

I went there for a special thanksgiving with family. Waiter was nice but incompetent! Someone else brought soup for my dinner companions. I never received my salad that came with my dinner. Waited forever to get bread and butter. Not a good experience. I would never go there again for a holiday meal. Food was ok.

j
joseph cecchini

Sara our server was fantastic. I ordered the Seafood Americana, and it was very good, however I only received 2 BAY scallops about 1/2 inch in diameter or the size of a nickel. I would think for $32 i should have received a few more. Very disappointed.

I didn't really want to give a 3 star but the amount of time between salads and our meal being delivered was excessive. We watched several tables around us get there meals before us. We didn't make a big deal out of it in the restaurant because we were in such good moods. I ordered the lunch fish & chips and my husband the lunch tilapia and shrimp pasta. We didn't think it would take almost 20-25min between getting some bread and our salads to the actual meal. Our server was as attentive as she could be but saw the frustration and just keep attending to other tables until she could bring the actual food out. Never she acknowledged or apologize for the long wait. I'm guessing our calm demeanor allow her to dismiss the fact we didn't have our food. She did however check regularly after our food had arrived. Someone gifted my to visit Mitchell's and I thought give them another try. I will allow some more time to elapsed before visiting again. Management did visit some of the tables around us but not us. Favor ain't fair but all money is green so I will choose to share mine with businesses who value customer service and care.

I went because I wanted seafood and had a discount- I expected a lot more from this place than I got. They didn’t seem too busy, but I was seated next to a large group of people so the waiter wasn’t really paying attention to me, but I could only complain that I didn’t get as many refills as I wanted as far as the service. Better front of house management would have made a difference in my seating. I don’t like to complain about the food too much in the restaurant, but I did eat it all (almost) however it was not anywhere near fresh seafood. The shrimp was dry and not very tasty, the salmon tasted slightly musty/mildewy, and the crab cake tasted more like a salmon patty. The only thing that made the “crab cake” tolerable was the tartar sauce. The pre-meal sourdough bread had no taste. I added some of the butter that was provided and it didn’t help. I went an extra step further and added some salt to the butter and spread it on the bread and it tasted the same with salt. The saving grace of the entire meal was the mashed potatoes that were under the shrimp and corn salad that was under the crab cake. I considered having a dessert with the dinner, especially since I heard that they made their own ice cream, but it was Spumoni, and it would have been a huge mistake based off the bread. I haven’t had such a bland meal since I ate at a Ponderosa Buffet.

P
Peter McGarty

Remarkably unremarkable is how i would describe my meal at Mitchell’s. We started with the clam chowder which had nice pieces of clam in it and a good texture but lacked a depth of flavor that i was expecting. There should be a creamy rich goodness to clam chowder and this just lacked that completely. The real disappointment were the entrees. Crab cake was bland with no texture inside or out. The corn it was served on tasted as if it had come from a can. Salmon just tasted like salmon. No seasoning to speak of and the sauce was just a pretty color and nothing more. The shrimp were the same except they were over cooked and chewy. The stuffed cod my wife got wasn’t much better. The service was very good which is the only reason I won’t give them one star.

Was there 430 pm new years day with a reservation sat down waiter poured our water and took or drink request, came back order a appetizer the calamari and placed our order. The dynamic duo and the surf and turf.now it isnt busy at all inside the restaurant at all at this time. It took about an hour to get our meal the meal was calamari was over cooked slightly and then the meals ,the lobster was over cooked some a little cold the mash patatos were cold, and the shrimp were slightly over cooked to a rubbery taste. I dont know what was going on,but this was the worst experience we had there. We did order off the new years menu.

D
Debby Seaton

Horrible experience. Had reservations at 6:00 didn't get seated until 7:00. Waited 15 minutes for water. The food was cold. The waitress said she would bring bread and we waited 15 for that. We should have just left.

My friend chose Mitchell’s Seafood House for his birthday dinner, hoping to revisit the site of many happy memories. Unfortunately, our experience ensured that all future recollections of this establishment will be tainted by this one, deeply disappointing evening. Our night began with a waiter whose charming, self-deprecating humor we initially found refreshing. We laughed along, foolishly assuming it was an act. We now understand it was not a joke, but rather the most accurate mission statement we’ve ever received. He promised poor service, and to his credit, he was a man of his word. After our initial order, our waiter vanished, treating our table with a level of inattention that bordered on performance art. We began to suspect we were part of a social experiment on the effects of prolonged hunger and neglect. When our entrees finally made their grand, belated entrance, my friend’s meal was sadly not worth the wait. The real tragedy, however, was the attempt to get it fixed. After a search-and-rescue effort to locate our server, we voiced our concerns. In response, we were met with a wave of aloofness so profound it was almost impressive. His disinterest in rectifying the issue was so palpable that we simply gave up. It’s a bold strategy to handle customer complaints by simply pretending you have somewhere more important to be. For nearly $100, we received mediocre food, abysmal service, and a masterclass in weaponized apathy. My friend wanted to relive a happy birthday memory. Instead, he got a brand new one: the memory of us deciding we will never, ever be back. If you have fond memories of this place, do yourself a favor and keep them as memories. Don't risk ruining them with a visit.

We had a gift card for Mitchell's and this was our first time. We made a reservation and when we arrived on time, we were asked to wait. The lobby was crowded and we understood. The wait allowed us to witness the host staff interacting with patrons. Both hostesses were loud and terse and the way they shouted out names and spoke with patrons made us feel more like we were at the DMV than a nice restaurant. We ordered the Shanghai Seafood Sampler and Snow Crab legs. The crab legs were meh quality (think current Red Lobster). They came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Both were inedible. Truly. I don't know how you can screw up those sides but both tasted...old? The seafood sampler was even worse. It's sad when the only tasty part of a seafood meal was the rice and spinach. The scallops were rubbery, the shrimp was worse and the salmon tasted like mildew. If this was something we had to pay for we would have sent both meals back and left. The service, while friendly, was scarce. She left piles of dishes on our table and never asked to refill our beverages. She topped off our night by leaning in close to our table and blowing out the candle under our drawn butter. I felt her breath. Pre 2020 this may not have felt so disgusting but in today's age, it was gross.

I was very disappointed in our latest experience. We had a 6:00 reservation and were not seated until 6:45. We then sat at our table until 7:00 before anyone came over to bring us water. Finally our waitress came and took our orders. She said she would bring out bread and butter right away, it never came. My son’s lemonade never came. We finally asked the man who brought my son’s soup over. He got us the bread. We had no water refills. When our food came the vegetables were cold. We sat at the table with dirty plates. The manager did apologize and took money off of the bill but it was very disappointing.

D
Dylan Koch

Ive been here 4 times. The other 3 times id say the food was better and staff was more attentive. How ever going yesterday one a Saturday night they were slammed so I cluld excuse the staff being very busy I get it...however my cod was brought to me cold and my shrimp tortellini, the shrimp were over cooked amd tough to eat, since I had already waited an hour for my food I just ate it, I had no interest in waiting even longer.. that being said, if its not packed you'll probably have a better experience than I did. For a 150 dollar bill I expected a little more than im sorry your food was cold.

j
jeff roe

Awful. Waited over an hour for the food to come out. Only gave one of the two appetizers we ordered and had to wait for the other. Server never came to check on us. Sat with out appetizer dishes on the table the entire time. Food is decent - service is abysmal.

We chose to try Mitchell's Fish Market on Valentine’s Day after calling and being told the wait was about 15 minutes. When we arrived, it had increased to over an hour, which we understand on a busy holiday. The larger issue, however, was the service. The hostess was dismissive, and that tone carried throughout the evening. After finishing our first drinks, no one asked if we wanted another for the next hour and a half. Our food arrived after several parties who ordered after us, and only after we asked another bartender to check on it. Because of the long wait, my wife had already started eating when she realized parts of her meal were cold. When she spoke with the manager, the plate was taken and half the meal discarded without asking if she was finished. After that interaction, the service felt even more dismissive. Other guests at the bar overheard and commented that it was rude and unacceptable. The manager’s response felt defensive, and there was no communication that our bill would be adjusted, which caused further delay as we waited for the check. Although $20 was eventually taken off our nearly $130 bill, the overall experience made it clear that hospitality was not a priority. This was our first visit, and it will likely be our last.

My wife and I and our daughter went to have a nice dinner Valentines weekend and it was terrible. There was a woman that started yelling at the poor server in the middle of the restaurant disrupting everyone's dinner. The server was so embarrassed I felt terrible for her! Come to find out the person causing the disturbance was the manager of the restaurant! I really don't know how this Brenda person has a management position as it was the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced in a restaurant anywhere. Everyone's meal was disrupted and staring wondering what her problem was. If I was that server I personally would have walked out! Noone deserves that kind of abuse and public humiliation from management! I do hope that someone speaks to this woman as it really put a damper on our evening out. I never would have expected that kind of behavior at a fine dining establishment! Flemings for us next time! Brenda has anger issues!

C

We were a party of 9, the wait staff assigned to our table were excellent! The 1 star is due to the attitudes of the receptionist and manager on Friday 11.05.2025 @ 5:00 pm. Next was the food…I didn’t receive my entree (steak, potatoes & vegetables) an hour and a half after everyone else had received and eaten theirs, which I just had it boxed to take home. The appetizers were good, I’m glad I filled up on those. Others in my party experienced food issues of not being prepared as ordered! It could have just been an off day for Mitchell’s but it left a bad impression for me!
