If you are here for the pork ribs, It wasn’t the best. Sort of dry and not much flavor. The pork chops were juicy and tender. With an amazing flavor. The coleslaw was good. Friendly staff, quick service.

Been awhile since my last visit, but still very good. The sausage was tough and a little dried out. The Ribs and brisket were very tasty. Been, nothing special, taters were good. BBQ sauce was a disappointment, too much vinegar for my taste buds. Just grab a picnic table and start eating 😋

Wife and I spent over 150 on brisket, turkey, chicken beef ribs, sausage and sirloin. Beef ribs were the biggest I've ever seen. They were pretty good. Sirloin was excellent as well as sausages and turkey. Brisket was good but had way to much fat especially for 37.00 dollars a pound. 52.00 dollars for the two ribs. Overall good food but very expensive

I wasn’t sure heaven existed—until I met the cobbler. One bite, and I was a believer. Hands down, the best cobbler I’ve ever tasted. Pro tip: don’t choose between the apple and blackberry—get both. They’re divine. The smoked prime rib? Absolute standout. The rest of the BBQ? Solid, but not life-changing. Still, that cobbler alone earns this place a strong rating.

So we are at Coopers old time pit bbq in llano tx today. We had a great time great meats. Great service. Loved the picnic style seato g. Jakob did not like the banana pudding and the coleslaw was way too sweet. The brisket was perfect. The sauce was acceptable. The chicken was good. Jakob wolfed down the turkey.

I have always loved this location in Llano. From walking to the pit, picking your meat and choosing to get it sauced or not, to waking inside and picking your sides. They have all the standards and more. Pork chops and sirloin. The meat is all great. My favorite is the beef rib. The sides are also equally great. Jalapeno mac and cheese is my choice. Don't miss the cobbler. If you are wondering why there are no beans, it's because the beans are always free and help yourself in the dining room. And the brand are great. This is the location you want to visit. Worth the drive if you are not in Llano.

Brisket had very good flavoring but our cut had a lot of fat. The sausage was good and my son loved the ribs. The potato salad was really good, it had a good pickle flavor. We also had green beans and mac n cheese but nothing special. The BBQ sauce is thin but good flavor. I will say when we originally planned on coming, we found Pit to Party Combination Special on the website and no one knew what I was talking about once we arrived so we were a little unprepared. The gentleman on the phone when we confirmed we did not need a reservation was super nice as well as the one who asked how many plates we needed. The young man up front cutting the meat was also super nice but again we were unprepared when no one knew the combination deal. When we went to pay the girl taking payment and initially serving sides was very cold. She seemed irritated and was not very polite. We loved the atmosphere, with the long picnic tables and lots of families around. Not 100% sure if we would return however it is worth a shot! Maybe it was just a rough day for some. It is a little pricey but most BBQ is.

We heard about so we stopped by for lunch after hunting. Parking is tight but you can park along the road. There was a huge fire tower getting coals ready with ashes falling like snow. We entered the restaurant at the front where a large hot pit is holding all of the uncovered meat. That is a problem. We felt the meat was dried out / overcooked. The ribs were overcooked and one side was complete fat. The brisket was overcooked and again, one side was complete fat. These should not have been served. Huge disappointment for expensive Texas bbq. The cheese sausage was ok. We tried goat for the first time and it was really good. The drinks were pour own. The tea was good. The sides were barely large than a condiment container. I haven't seen a side that small, anywhere, ever. Why serve such a small amount for the price. The coleslaw, beans and potato salad with pimentos were ok. The au jus sauce was sweet, salty and tangy. We tried it and it was okay. Have to decided if we will go back. So many other places in town. 3 people, $90.

A disappointing and unsatisfying taste of Texas BBQ. I ordered the brisket, which was overcooked and past tender, not in a good way. This made for an incredibly unsatisfying bite, and unappealing presentation. Moving past that I gave it the old college try, initially I found the taste to be great. Unfortunately, this was quickly overshadowed by the extreme amount of salt on the meat, which was emphasized by the complete lack of smoke flavor. This was overpriced brisket pot roast essentially. Those around me also commented on the intense level of salt across the different cuts. Food aside, the staff was friendly, atmosphere was classic bbq, and that is unquestionable. But don’t stop here for food, it’s not worth it.

This place was not good at all. Not worth the price. The chicken was over salty. The bbq sauce was watery soup with no flavor. They didn’t even mesure what you ordered. It was $22 for not even a link of sausage. Of the pour of brisket we had so much of it was hard as a rock. Restrooms were dirt. The bench almost broke and felt unstable. The place didn’t feel clean at all and there was dust on the clear plastic over the “fixings”.

Went with my wife to just grab a quick two meat plates each basically ended up getting 1.3 pounds of brisket which was super salty that came to a total of $50+ got two small pieces of sausage regular for my wife jalapeno for me that was $11 sausage was decent not the best but it was good got two 8 oz portions of the mash potatoes which was the best thing we ate 2 8oz portions of coleslaw wife got some cornbread and to fountain drinks so if my math is somewhat correct the meats alone was around $61-62 two sides each 1 corn bread and two drinks how on earth did it come to a total of $102 which means we was charged $40+ for the sides and drinks!!! This was the first and definitely the last time I eat here And to tip it all off the line where they was serving the food was disgusting covered in grease marks the spot were the beans were was just absolutely covered in bean juices the bbq sauce if that what u can call it tasted like sour vinegar with a slight hint of A1 sauce one staff member was awesome very polite the rest didn't even look like they wanted to work there it was like talking to bricks. Lady behind the register when we asked which cup do we get for our drinks said and I quote " which ever one you want I don't care" I'm so glad I didn't get a dessert or my bill probably would of been $200 and if the manager or owner wants to have a chat with me over my review my I will welcome it and will give them my phone number
