This particular dairy Queen in Lockhart has the fastest drive-thru of any I've been to. Really nice people too. I got a root beer freeze and it was exactly the way I wanted it.

Best place to eat in lockheart by far! Me and my mom stoped by last week for lunch and the food, services, and atmousfear was outstanding. The manager even personaly came to every custumer to ask how our meals were. Love seeing the pride thy have for insuring perfection.❤

"Quality matters" states the backs of the employee shirts here. 5 minutes here and you can tell this DQ certainly takes this to heart. I already knew that Dairy Queen was better in Texas than anywhere else in the country. This location is hands down the best Dairy Queen I've ever been in. Clean, wholesome atmosphere, genuinely friendly and happy employees, quirky signs, and good food. Feels more like a fast casual take out restaurant than part of a national drive thru chain.

We're just passing through town on the way back home, but this DQ was a really good. The food came out fast and the blizzards were good. We got the tropical blizard and they must've used the best ripe bananas in these. No skimping on the pecans either. Wish we had a DQ like this back home!

I love this place. It is very clean. My favorite thing here is the classic vanilla ice cream cone. It is always has a great atmosphere and very courteous and respectful staff. Maybe getting a melted Nacho cheese and offering cheese fries with jalapeños. Not expecting it to change for one customeras that is not realistic, but just an idea.

We stopped in for a quick bite during a trip. Since we had our puppies, we had to cruise through the drive thru. We were shocked and super pleased the staff noticed our babies and asked if we wanted a "pup cup". I wasn't sure what it was, but it ended up being a small amount of soft serve ice cream. How cool?!? Our 5 pound ferocious warrior, Kassel, loved it!

This DQ is always prompt and accurate with our orders, and the staff members are very pleasant. I have a DQ in my town (Bastrop TX) but I drive 35 miles to eat at the Mayfield DQ in Lockhart TX. Staff, food and how clean the restaurant is what keeps bringing me back. Also, the Lockhart location has four dip cone flavors.

Ok any mayfield is a great place even more so because they have a 20% mil discount but this one just went off the scals for me , chocolate sundies ❤❤❤ not sure how long they have had chocolate ice cream but now that I know 😙

They say Dairy Queen is Dairy Queen. Not so at this place! Workers take pride in their work and food was great! And always served with smile!

The staff were very polite and they were also able to get our food order correct and it tasted great. I usually do not expect most fast food places to get things correct, but this place was excellent. They also give discount to active military and veterans. The place is super clean as well. Next time we come through Lockhart we will stop again.

Always enjoy coming here. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. All the kids that work here after school are hard workers. I've seen how hard they work in the evenings especially when they get busses or big group from churches come in. And guess what they always have ice cream.

I drive a concrete truck so so I deliver a lot of concrete in Lockhart. The food is always hot and fresh the employees are so polite in my order comes out quite quickly!

This dairy queen is always busy and they always have plenty of staff working to handle the crowds. They are friendly and food was made correct and fresh. Plus the nice cream was good.

My family and I stopped here on our road trip back from South TX. This was definitely one of the better DQ's we've been to. Clean environment (especially bathrooms! I had to use the men's room because the line was too long for the women's). Great food. Happy, friendly service. They provided plenty of condiments on hand at each table. This owner has done a fantastic job.

Fast service, when we just pulled up to get ice cream I noticed an employee come outside and help some elderly women unload the walkers and my wife held the door for them, I thought that's was great how y'alls employee went out there to help, good job!

It feels like the twilight zone going into this place. If you’ve been to other Dairy Queen locations, you’ll understand what I mean. Every other Dairy Queen I’ve ever been into in my life is poorly maintained, serves lackluster food, and the staff is unhappy. At this location, there are good people, the facility is well-maintained, and the food is wonderful. I have an amazing experience every single time I go to this location. There’s clearly something special about Mayfield Dairy Queen locations.

DQ in Lockhart TX is the absolute best, being a Mayfield Dairy Queen they hold themselves to a higher standard. Blizzards are served in Styrofoam cups and not paper cups which keeps them colder longer, and the employees have always been kind and respectful and willing to help with the app, or with custom orders we all for. I love the food here. While it is delicious I usually use the drive through when I visit. Overall my experiences are good, but they have forgotten some of my order or it was wrong a few times. Once I called and let the problem be known it was taken care of quite quickly. I recommend it. 👍

I usually order thru drive thru so I couldn't comment on atmosphere except they are always busy. The service was lacking but then redeemed itself. There was a mistake with my order but manager stepped in and corrected it. Initially the employee left okay items ordered & when mgr corrected, he did so without charging for the items he had to replace. Thanks DQ

Looks just like it did when I was frowning up please do not change the looks of this place it is amazing and very pleasant to view inside and out. If I were to update any part of it it would be exterior paint and that's it. Love the service maybe some fry changing of the oil but that's a common in a deep fried menu.

Food came out hot! First star. Burger well put together. Second start. Customer service was on point. Third star. Fourth star is for a very clean establishment. Closer to a five but as we all know improvement will always be there to achieve.

Staff is always welcoming and upbeat. The bathroom, which is only one room for woman was clean, but the men's my boyfriend said was gross. Tables are cleaned often. As far as food, I love fresh the ingredients taste. I'm not a fan of any off the food, don't care for the burgers at all, the hamburger itself isn't juice and doesn't taste great to me, but the lettuce and tomatoes are always crisp and juicy. The fries are my favorite fries! They have a good crunch on the outside and soft on the inside, not too salty, and they taste like potatoes. The royal Oreo blizzard has big Oreo pieces and this amazing fudge surprise that makes me complete. The strawberry shake is one of the best. I love love love how they add real full strawberries that taste amazing everytime, I don't know how or where they get there supplies from but it impresses me each time I go. It never disappoints. I say food is meh, but if you stick with just ice cream and fries and you'll be very happy.

Despite not having the DQ logo cup for my small Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, & it having more of the pumpkin flavor than I remember tasting, when they originally created the holiday festive-delicacy, it was truly a delight to have one of my flavors return for the holidays! & you can't beat that 10% military discount off the high prices, which makes everything sweet, even more sweeter! Usually, this DQ is spot on however tonight they neglected all the cheese on the cheesy dude, making it a pretty dry dud. They also neglected to give us the fries with our 'meal' and rushed through the blizzards so they weren't well mixed. I'll go back, but maybe not too soon.

I was not happy that a whipped creme was extra on a sundae. Whipped cream and a cherry are staples for a sundae. I did not order one. I went to an icecream shop in town instead. Service is good and friendly.

We normally don't have an issue but two Saturdays in a row we went and they're out of chocolate ice cream how does this happen at an ice cream place? There should of been signs posted on the doors, drive thru menu that their was no chocolate ice cream. Also very skimpy on the toppings and the vanilla had no flavor.

I love their chocolate malts, but prices have gone off the charts! I had 3 of my grandkids with me today after school, I was ordering 2 small fries, one med choc malt and a small heath bar blizzard, the total was over $18. That’s just crazy, and told the guy I would not pay that. We went across the street to Whataburger and I got the kids 3 full meals, including chicken strips, gravy, fries, fruit snacks and lemonades (which were about 15 oz.) for a total of $19. All these restaurants have gone nuts with their prices, but the comparison between the two was a no brainer for feeding the kids a quick meal. They usually eat at home. I will miss Dairy Queen’s malts but refuse to pay those prices. Saying goodbye to Dairy Queen, sadly!

Tried to charge me for condiments… Really, I didn’t know DQ was struggling that bad for money. Not going back there

Went through the drive-thru was asked if I wanted to add a taco for .99 cents I declined, but was still charged for one. I brought it to the attention of the cashier, and they brought management out, but they were having difficulty issuing my refund. The man who took my order at one point walked by and said "I know you didn't want the taco, but I still added it I'm sorry." At that point where the employee admitted to doing it on purpose I shouldn't have to pay for anything, but they still charged me for everything else I ordered, which, I'm still okay with. I have my voided copy of my original receipt and my new receipt minus the item I didn't order. The charges came through today and I was still charged for the first order as well as the new order. I'm a resident of Lockhart been coming to this Dairy Queen for years, but will not be anymore.

Today I was at Dairy Queen and went through the drive through the girl opened the window did not have her mask on properly and didn’t have gloves on when taking my payment. When confronted about it she lied to me and said she switches gloves between every customer which she didn’t because she took my debit card with her hands. It is obvious this location does not care about the safety and health of it’s customers during this pandemic.

The last four times I have gone to dairy queen I order the new York cheesecake with EXTRA cheesecake. Which I pay for, and each time I get none to barely any cheese at all. It's very frustrating and sad. As it's a very simple order. Perhaps next time this won't happen!?

What has happened??? Best DQ in Texas until right now. Food I pray still delicious, but the incompetence and condescending attitude of the staff on duty disappointed me to the point of walking out and going across the street to Whataburger... Your new staff need more training in customer service.

Up until tonight I would have given this place a rave review and have often talked with others about how much better this one is than any other DQ. However tonight they went from hero's to zero's unworthy of even 1 star. And 99% of the problem stemmed from the young man at the register who either doesn't hear well or lacks the basic understanding of the difference between mustard and mayonnaise. I took the wrong order back to him and told him what was wrong, he said he couldn't take it from me but would get it fixed so I returned with it to my table, and nibbled on the fries because I was actually hungry, then he comes and takes fries and all away so I sit there with just a drink, still talking with the lady at the next table about how good the food always is. He brings the order back to my table, still with mayo on it and no fries. I just asked for a refund but the lady who came out went back to remake the order without a word, and I admit at this point I lost my temper, but enough was enough. I had already made the 30 minute drive to get there and then they can't get it right and act like they don't care. I don't know what the heck is happening there but they need to work on getting back the staff they seem to have lost that made this such an enjoyable place in the past. (IE people who actually give a damn)

Ordered an order through door dash. Ordered 4 items got 3. Young lady insisted order was in bag. Nope! Wanted to know if I wanted to come get it. No! Wanted it delivered. Not possible. Had to go pick it up myself. I love Mayfield D Qs but not this one.

Closing associate doesn't understand, basic comprehension skills...rings up items I didn't order...I then VERBALLY state the order isn't right in which she doesn't change the order and instead gets upset and tells me to pull up to the window, when I try to talk to her in person she snatches my card shuts the window in my face and then proceeds to overcharge me. I don't see her again as she hands me off to another employee. Which isn't proffesional ive worked in fast food it can be stressful i get it. that's still not an appropriate response to have when you make a mistake and refuse to fix it. I'll be going in to speak to a manager tommorow with the incorrect food I was charged for as well as the receipt and wasn't allowed to be refunded...I typically don't put bad reveiws up like this. But that was insanely disrespectful...

the lady at the drive thru around 5:30pm today was rushing my mother, constantly asking if she was done. she then asked for two extra toasts, never got those but still got charged. asked for the bacon cheese hunger buster but only got it with no bacon.
