Fora is a bustling restaurant, and it's easy to see why it's busy. The food was great, with a lovely selection to choose from. I had chicken with chilli and apricot sauce. The sweetness of the apricot went really well with the chicken, and was set off with a little fresh chilli. Not too much, but just enough to set off the sweetness of the apricot. Although it was busy, the staff were attentive, and yet we never felt as if we were being rushed from our table. I'll definitely be back for more.
Yum food, great service and desserts to die for. The Kulbasti was so full of flavour, I was even tempted to eat the plate!... 😉 Update: Ok, so come back after a long time and this is really dangerous, because you will eat much, much more than you should. The food was so damn tasty, that my stomach was saying no, but my taste-buds kept wanting more... 😋🤤
I tried the Centic Special, and it was outstanding. A perfect mix of meat and chicken with a gentle spice, rich sauce, and yoghurt on top. It arrived piping hot and packed with flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the ambience was warm and elegant. A great choice if you want something different from the usual Turkish grill. • Centic Special was full of flavour • Served hot with a great balance of spice and yoghurt • Friendly staff and relaxed ambience
Immense Turkish restaurant, perfect for a family, groups or work dining, serving traditional Turkish meals, in style. Smoky babaganoush and spicy chicken kofte with bulgur were absolutely delicious, great mix of spices and very generous portions! Lovely staff, attentive and welcoming. Entire place creates a very cosy atmosphere, ideal for a chilled & quiet evening.
Loved the food here. Had the lentil soup with lemon, was excellent and warm. The apetitzer with fresh bread and yougurt with olive oil was very refreshing and tasty. The lamb shank was my main course and came with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and a side of medium spiced pickles. Excellent combo and compliments to the chef and service of the owner. Dont forget the desserts.
An overall great dining experience. Started with Kalamar and beef sausage. The Kalamar was a bit rubbery and the sausage was a tad salty but on the whole pretty good. The Adana Kofte main, however was incredible and beautifully tender. Highly recommended! Even the complimentary bread was a great starting point. The staff were also kind enough to allow us to stick around a little while after we'd finished in order to feed our baby which was much appreciated.
I had such a great time at Fora! The restaurant was busy, which gave it a lively vibe, but the staff still took great care of us. I tried the meatballs, and it was absolutely delicious, juicy and full of flavour. The service was top-notch and made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a great meal with a warm, welcoming vibe, Fora is the place to be!
Booked this restaurant for my 48th Birthday family meal and purely for it's location, as my family live in the area so for convenience. Read some reviews and was a little deflated about staff being rude, small potions, Flavourless etc... Well, I can dispel all of that. The food was amazing, lovely atmosphere, staff were brilliant. We Had the group menu and it was plentiful, so much so that we all over eat on the starters alone, admittedly we did order extra dishes, but the spicy chicken wings and Baba ganoush were amazing. Lamb shank, mixed grill and citinek kebab were fantastic and plentiful. The meat whether lamb cutlet, chicken shish and minced lamb was juicy.. really can't fault this restaurant. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. we'll definitely be coming back.
Had a great lunch.. Tried Spicy chicken wings and Calamari starters and then the lamb shank.. All was delicately spiced and perfectly cooked.. Service was friendly and despite venue being packed attentive and respectful. I will have to come back to try more options.. Update.. went back and tried falafel, garlic mushrooms and mixed grill.. flavour as above.. awesome
We were on vacation in London and noticed Fora was very close to our hotel. The advertise they are halal so we decided to give it a shot and we were not let down. They were very kind and welcoming upon entry and very accommodating for my pregnant wife and 11 month old son. The servers and workers were playing with my son and he loved it! Anyone who makes him happy makes me happy! As for the food, it was great. I ordered the Ali Nazik and the lamb was perfect. Really enjoyed it. The tabouli was also very very good. We also ordered the chicken Guvech and it was good. Prices were appropriate and serving sizes were good for Europe. Would come back if I visit again.
Extremely satisfying food, with such a huge selection. They offer a healthy option set menu that consists of many items across the cold mezze (vegetarian) starters and main course of chicken cubes, Kofte and Lamb Shish. Service is excellent, interior modern traditional setting. The restaurant serves HALAL food and this was confirmed by the restaurant staff. The bill is accompanied with Turkish delights as complimentary, which I thought was a nice touch.
Welcomed warmly on a cold night, I was guided to my table. Being a strict vegetarian I chose Fora for the Vegetarian options that it has on its menu. I ordered Spinach and Feta Borek, Sebze Guvech and Virgin Mary. Spinach Feta Borek was very nicely made though I think they used the same oil for non-vegetarian dishes as well. Didn't like that aspect. Sebze Guvech - I had asked this to be made mildly spicy and they did a fantastic job here. The flavourful Subze accompanied by rice was Yumm. Virgin Mary was good. Overall a good experience and I am sure I will return, hopefully this time with family/friends.
Dropped into the Fora at 5 on a rainy February afternoon- the service and food was second to none we will definitely to visiting again when we’re in London Photos attached but apologise for the quality they don’t do the beautiful food justice!!
Warm welcome. Plenty of space. Good food & service! What an enjoyable and unexpected find. Highly recommend
Delicious food, very good service and reasonable price. We really enjoyed our lunch there.
Excellent Turkish dishes at reasonable prices especially the set menus. Recommended! Pretty hamam-like bathroom too.
Excellent, great food, great service, the two city meal deals are excellent value
Fora has been our favourite neighbourhood restaurant for years. We have celebrated many happy occasions at Fora. And the food and service today are as good if not better than ten years ago. Very good selection with fresh ingredients, superbly prepared and served, wonderful atmosphere. Great place for business meals and date nights.
I was working in central London and found this place. After fasting all day the food was absolutely amazing. The flavours of each item was unique and individual. Truly amazing for a halal cuisine. Highly recommend the Lamb Shank. All the staff were amazing and friendly.
Went here for dinner recently for the first time, following a day in the office. Halal food, very tasty, very friendly staff and very good service. Clean place, really nice atmosphere. I got the Adana kofte, and my friend got the Calamari - both were very tasty. Complimentary small Turkish delights as well!
We were looking for Halal restaurant near our Nikah venue. We booked dinner for our wedding party of 19. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They made sure any requests were taken care off promptly. Everyone loved the food and the service on the night. Marin, especially, went above and beyond our expectations making sure we were happy with the table arrangement and decoration on the table before our special day. Thank you for having us. We would highly recommend Fora!
Absolutely superb! Had the sharing platters for starters and mains. So much food and all perfectly cooked. I can honestly say the lamb chops were devine! Will definitely be returning.
Great experience, good was amazing and the staff are very friendly!
I was looking for a healthy option in the neighborhood for a quick, early dinner and I’m thankful I found Fora. My only regret is that I didn’t come at a time when I’ll order a more full menu. I had a simple Caesar Salad with chicken and it was fantastic. It had the most flavorful and tender chicken I have had in memory. The dressing and salad were really good. Lots of flavor without a heavy dressing. Even the Turkish delight they served with the check was great. The staff and atmosphere are great too. I highly recommend it.
I’ve been here twice now and sat outside on those two occasions. As it’s very aesthetically pleasing and comfortable , I took my partner for lunch yesterday and I was served by the sweetest waitress called “Ella “ you’ll be lucky if you’re served by her as she’s so down to earth and gives such a friendly service . The food was lovely and my favourite are the cocktails - the pearl and rose cocktail along with the passion fruit one never disappoints! Definitely recommend :)
Visited during a team lunch. Very nice, openly spaced restaurant and friendly staff. For starters had their falafel and hummus. Their falafel was okay - a tad grainy for me - but their hummus was delicious especially with the provided bread. Also had a taste of their fried whitebait and spinach feta borek which were both pretty nice too. For mains I shared their grill platter which came with lamb shish, lamb cutlets, Adana kebabs, chicken shish and chicken wings atop rice and flatbreads. This was £29.50 pp and I believe was great value. Every single meat was absolutely delicious. Particularly, the kebab and two lamb cuts were just sublime. Even their wings, which I initially thought was odd to include, were succulent and just fell off the bone. This came with a lot of food too. Another group of 5 at our table ordered this and could not finish it but they kindly let us take the rest home. Definitely one to order and maybe share amongst more people than you would think. For desserts I had their Kazandibi milk pudding and chocolate pyramids. These were pretty good - not too sweet either. Also had some of their Turkish coffee which was delightful. Overall, great mains with superb meats and pretty good starters and desserts too. Would recommend!
***RECOMMENDED*** Based on the first visit. Excellent service and food. Starter: Lamb on Hummus with some warm bread. It tastes lovely, and it was a good portion size as well. Main: Lamb Shank with vegetables, flavoursome but not spicey, and the texture was excellent, Lamb was cooked perfectly, falling off the bone. Would go again if in town and try something else and see if the food is the same quality. If it is, I would give them 5 stars 🌟
I personally had a very enjoyable meal at Fora. Staff were excellent, food (mixed grill) delicious and price fair. So why the missing star? My friend is a vegetarian, and naturally this isn't exactly the ideal restaurant for him, but the Spinach main that he ordered looked like it was missing something. In fact, when it arrived we couldn't help but all burst out laughing and naturally gave my friend a good ribbing for not eating meat. I think a small side of Veg would do the trick.
Decent food, nice restaurant.
Good Lebanese type food. Great location and atmosphere
Very nice food, fun service and REAL Turkish coffee. We enjoy our lunch visit.on a Friday and it was very quiet. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Food prepared nicely. (Sorry, forgot to take pics). The roast lamb shank was a standout!
Professional lunch eating place. Some of the vegetables were skewered with the chickens and meat is what it tasted like.
We dropped by on a quiet Monday night (and I mean really quiet - we were the only patrons) but we left pretty happy. Being a business type meal we didn't mess about with starters and dessert but our waiter was kind enough to bring us houmous dip and some freshly baked bread while we waited. On the main course front I went for chicken kebab with apricots and I have to say that it was excellent. The chunks of meat were large and tender while the apricots added a delightful touch of sweetness. The other dishes also looked rather tasty and we were all pleasantly surprised by our meal. Worth a visit if you're in the area!
Very expensive, tasty food but we payed too much for less quantity, compare to other places in London. £45 per person for a set meal?!?! is not even Cristmas yet!!!
Went to eat in this place after a long day in London and was really looking forward to some good Turkish food however, the food was very average and reminded me of a kebab house after a Friday night out. Some of the staff (man with white shirt and black trousers) was very rude. When coming to pay the bill he said nothing and just put the machine in my face and the whole evening he seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Also not a huge variety of Turkish dishes and not great value for what you get. Won’t go there again or to any of the chains.
It was soo not worth it honestly. The food was So bland and they only had some mid tomato sauce. Not even any mint sauce or yogurt. The prices are very expensive for such little they serve. I payed £31 plus £5 cover charge for a plate fit for half a person. Plain white rice that was extra salty. Just go maeda grill next to elm. Much better!!
I made a reservation here in October to eat on our first day. I received a confirmation of the reservation. Close to the hotel and a good menu. After a long day of travel, I walked tiredly to the restaurant... it turned out to be closed for vacation. There was no communication about this and that is very bad. In the end we had to look for another restaurant at dinner time. Poorly managed
