La Rascasse

This is my favourite restaurant in Beckenham. The food is amazing and the staff give excellent service. Absolutely recommend.

Lovely food (scallops followed by John Dory special), lovely wine, friendly, non fussy service. No complaints.

It was a wonderful sunday afternoon so we stopped by for a bite to eat meal was amazing and for under £20 ph (per head) cant complain service was on point and the staff very friendly would defo go back to Le Rascasse bon appetit

Superb meal! Not overly busy but it was a Monday evening. Bar staff next door was really friendly and recommended a new gin combination to me. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and of a good portion. Service was perfect not full on and in your face but just the right amount. I had pork belly to start, lamb rack followed by a peanut butter dessert. Would recommend if you haven't tried.

I have been here a couple of times now and never had a bad evening, the food has always been delicious and staff have been friendly and professional. Today we had a small birthday dinner with my friends and I was so impressed with the service and the warm welcome we received (without them even knowing at first that it was for my birthday). Food was great as always. As I am pregnant I didn't want a whole glass of wine, so the lady serving us brought me a lovely little taster glass of house wine (free of charge), then when my friend mentioned it was my birthday they surprised me with a lovely chocolate dessert. We all had a great evening, thank you La Rascass, I will be back!

lovely bar, friendly staff. Menu has really improved with the start of the new chef, it was delicious! i recommend the lunch time menu, 2 courses of fantastic food and a glass of vino for around a tenner! superb value.

We had our grandsons naming ceremony here. Absolutely fantastic staff excellent. We even stayed for dinner. Food was excellent. A special mention to goerge who looked after us about (70) guests. Definitely go back again.

Always the best. Their roasts are class but for me it's the desserts which are intricate and change on a weekly basis that take the biscuit. Go for the odd sounding one versus the known favourite such as cheesecake and you will be pleasantly surprised! £103 for 3 with three courses and a good few drinks. Worth it if you ask me as if you have lunch, you certainly won't want dinner that evening!

Left side is a bar. Right side is a restaurant. Bar side is dark, long and narrow but has a certain appeal and if it isn't too busy makes for a nice evening. Think you can book a seating area. In the summer they have a nice beer garden with retractable roof. Rememer watching the World Cup out there a long time ago. Restaurant is quite small but has a good menu and friendly staff. A classic Beckenham establishment.

Main course was very good but sweet was average. Service friendly. Cost was above average but quality of the food made it worth the money. Not quite Chapter One but very close and slightly cheaper.

Great pub with nice area at the back for drinking and eating. Sometimes the clientele are a little rough around the edges but generally a good venue

Good atmosphere, full of beautiful people!! Ideal for a quick drink with friends or an evening for, couples and date nights.

The negative the menu is limited and the restaurant is not very big. This means they do not like huge bookings ideally 10 max. The food tastes amazing, all 14 of us enjoyed our starters and mains we didnt get desert as we had a birthday cake. The staff are very friendly and helpful the place has an intimate feeling. We had a great night and recommend them highly. Didnt try the bar but the pornstar martini was perfect.

Have been here a few times and have had a pleasant experiences food and service being very nice. However my visit this weekend with a friend was disappointing. The food was nice but the waiter we found very rude and sarcastic. Any time he came over to our table he was very sarcastic with his comments when there was no need and created a weird atmosphere when we just wanted to enjoy ourselves. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Food is good but service in restaurant is terrible. Cant seem to deal with full service. Constantly trying to get staff attention for menus, order drinks or chase up order. Everyone entitled to off night but last visit my wife & I walked out. Waited 15 mins & no offer of drinks or even menu. After finally getting staff attention was informed “will be with you shortly”. Shortly never arrived so got up & left. Dont think they even noticed like when we were in there!

Moved in just over a month ago at the residency above this restaurant to whom seem to believe they are a nightclub. I would never eat on this restaurant as the owner and his staff have no respect for their fellow neighbours who have young children and in my case am about to give birth! Staff find it acceptable to stand in our door way smoking and using as a telephone booth whilst their guests find it appropriate to fight outside of our door drunk and frightening our daughter so she is unable to sleep at night. We cannot enjoy the peace and comforts of our own home as all we can hear is shouting, swearing, ridiculously loud music until gone 1am even on Thursday evenings during the week and therefore cannot even sit on our balcony or open our windows in the summer. They clearly have no respect for the people around them as they just leave the music as it is or raise the noise whenever we call to ask them to turn it down for the purpose of our children and they still continue to disrespect us. Why should residents who pay a lot of money to live in the area have to deal with such nonsense for the sake of their precious social bar it’s a joke. Just this evening 3 times we have had to go downstairs to our front door and ask people including their staff to move away from our doorstep. What we were hoping would be a lovely family home for a few years has now turned into a nightmare. This is no sort of environment to have to bring a new born baby into. It’s about time they started learning some decency and accepted the fact they are a restaurant and not ministry of sound!! To DZ always for your information we were not informed this restaurant was also a bar before we moved in. Before you start to leave disrespectful comments laughing about my new born child being disturbed I suggest you grow up. Clearly you have no respect to leave such a comment when this matter does not concern you and for that just know you have been reported.

Poor experience. Waited 10 mins and then had to request menu. Waited almost another 10 mins and still no one approached us to take order (not even for drinks). Table next to us had the same issue and restaurant wasn't even full. Not sure if it was due to short staff or poor service but we ended up walking out & eating next door. Shame, because had nice food their before but second time this has happened in recent years so will avoid in future.

Friendly and helpful staff, unfortunately waited almost an hour for our food even though restaurant was empty the food was most definitely not worth the price very unflavoured left in a fowl mood will not return or recommend

Appalling service. I went on a Friday night with my colleagues and the security on the door were extremely rude. They told us it was closed when there were clearly people inside. Absolutely abismal, won’t be returning!!!
