Came in 15 minutes before closing on a Taco Tuesday and there was a line! (That’s a good sign for me) The carne asada tacos were super delicious and the meat was juicy and tender. The chicken taco was also good, I liked that the chicken had crispy bits to it and wasn’t mushy. The amount of meat you get is super generous, not to mention that they also give grilled onions, which I thought was a delicious addition. Another plus is that they have tamarindo fresco and it was super refreshing. The taco Tuesday prices are definitely worth it and from what I saw it seems to me that their regular prices are also fair. I’ll definitely be coming back here, especially late nights when I want some good food!

The Green Verde salsa is the best out of all the Salsa they have. It’s spicy, but it’s tolerable. I place my food order over the phone. It arrived at my destination; my carrier did get a little lost, but she called me, and I redirected her to the correct location. The bonus is that they but extra grilled onions on the side 😍

I love that this place is open until midnight. The food is delicious. Prices are very reasonable considering the large portions. Also, this place has the best breakfast quesadillas in Long Beach.

There are literally no words to say how excellent this place is. It stays open late on the weekends. The restaurant has a converted parking lot turned into outside dining area. Inside, there is a banquet side complete with Karaoke on Friday nights, the restaurant/bar dining area and another room for extra seating. All of the staff is extremely friendly. The food portions are big and they make a great (and gigantic) if you're in to Michelada's. Four of us sat down and ordered Large Ceviche, a camarones a la diable plate, carne asada burrito plate, one plate of 2 carne asada tacos, and fish tacos. If you're a chip and salsa lover, this is hands down one the best salsa's I've had. If you want some legit Mexican food with Mexican hospitality, YOU NEED TO COME HERE! Come eat, drink and sing karaoke!

I ordered the chicken quesadillas with rice and beans plate. This plate was delicious. The chicken was soft and tender.I also ordered tacos and they were oily and the meat had too much fat for me so I would not buy tacos for myself here. The service is excellent . I went to have breakfast today 12/21 approximately around 1000. Unfortunately the table the waitress sat me at was dirty. Adding insult to injury she then proceeded to seat a latino man across from me but cleaned his table first. I thought to myself thats odd as I observed the crumbs, salsa and other debris. I decided since I did not receive the same service that El Sauz was not for me. I have patronized this business several times. Usually the outside window. I feel the service was substandard. Tables should always be cleaned irregardless of who the customer is.

Owner tried kicking us out cause HIS employees sold us beer. Tried telling us that we needed to buy the SAME food that we already purchased to get the drinks we BOUGHT. Photo is the 5 dollars I got back after stating that HIS coworkers were okay with selling beer outside. Never coming back to this place. Owner was rude. Manager was rude. Food sucked. Nachos only came with beans and cheese when I asked for everything. They do not train their coworkers regarding what they’re allowed to sell. 0/10 experience. There is far better Mexican food in Long Beach with employees that are trained and owners who are not rude to customers.

I ordered 2 fish tacos - online it says 2.28 each and when I came in to pay I was charged $13 for two tiny tacos and at that on a Tuesday? They were good but definitely not worth the price I was charged. If I knew this were the case I would have ordered something else .

Got a wet shrimp works burrito to go. I cut it open and it smelled wretched. I thought they had served me rotten shrimp. Turns out it was broccoli! The burrito was filled with not just broccoli but also carrots, mushrooms and corn in addition to the shrimp and rice. It was vile and inedible. I double-checked the menu and these ingredients are not listed. Gobsmacked that they served this to me.

This place used to be very amazing but today I am experiencing very negative respond. It is by rules they did communicate to me. They closed exactly by 3 PM if I arrive one minute after they are close if I arrive 1 minute before they are open but unfortunately arriving 2 Minutes earlier than 3 AM and I get refuse service because they decide to close earlier. Now is 6 min after 3 AM ( originally close time ) and they are almost done with closing everything

Food was awful. Horchata tasted sour and the shrimp cocktail tasted way too fishy, almost like it was rotten. The enchiladas were very bland, they were covered with sauce to give it flavor but they still had no taste at all. The only good thing we experienced was good service that evening. Will not be going back to this restaurant.
