Seriously... Chicken & Rice. I can't believe how simple this place is but also how delicious it is. I've been coming here for over a year now and I can't seem to get enough. I always get the same order every time whether I dine in or take out which is the Hainan Chicken Rice with a Taro Milk Tea w/BoBa. I can say this dish is such a great portion for one. A cup size of their garlic rice, lots of chicken with cucumbers & cilantro, also two of their house sauces on the side. The two sauces on the side are very flavorful, one is the House spicy Giga sauce & the other Sesame Soy. I will say the spicy Giga is not that spicy... coming from someone who doesn't do spicy anything. The service is always great and extremely fast. I don't think I have ever waited more than 15min for my order. The restaurant is very demur, has lovely eye catching paintings and decor. Taisha is located on 4th street off a busy street but there is plenty of street parking out front and around the block in the residential. If you're in the Long Beach area and looking for a good lunch or dinner...stop by. Enjoy!
Good food in a nice setting with affordable prices. It’s why this chain is one of the best in the game. Also very cool to see their success with a unique approach to chicken and rice. 5 stars
Awesome spot for hainan chicken. Got the original and fried, both were amazing. Staff was also incredibly kind and friendly, we'll be coming back here regularly!
Perfect Hainan Chicken, they really nail all the elements. I drove two hours to try this place and I'm glad I did. The fried dumplings were nicely fried and seasoned with good filling. The chicken was moist and tender, and they give you a lot! The rice was perfectly seasoned with the subtle beauty of ginger and garlic, maybe a hint of green onion. The soup is perfect, it will warm your soul (and fix a hangover). The sauces have nice bold flavors and they don't charge you extra for more if you want it! They set it out on a side table for you to take as you like. The staff is so nice and friendly and genuinely appreciate your business. The best Hainan chicken ive found in southern California.
The chicken was crispy, not greasy plated with super-fresh veggies. I cleaned the plate. Quick service if you are on a time crunch also.
INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! i’m so thrilled that they opened a brick and mortar in this location. don’t sleep on it!! excellent value for the quality and portion. beautifully clean taste and very quickly prepared.
Great food, great people. The owners are always so nice. Food is fresh and fast. Never disappoints.

They have an extensive drink selection. The guy at the front counter was really nice in explaining the drinks to me.

I have been longing for good chicken rice since visiting Singapore and this place delivers greatness
The hainese chicken here is great. I called in my order versus using the online grub hub and the price was cheaper by $4 per dish.
We stumbled across a coupon for this place so we figured we would try it out. We are so glad we did. The employees were very nice and helpful while the food was good and had plenty of it. Definitely worth a try.
Great at what it does. Fast service, clean and cute indoor environment, and tasty simple foods. I wonder if they would be willing to add more sides that aren't deep fried, but their drink selection is very wide and looks great.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I was really blown away with how delicious the meat was and how much there was of it. Enough for 3 meals. And so sweet and moist! Delicious. I personally thought the original sauce was a little too sweet for me, but the spicy was absolutely addictive. I'm not a huge fan of super spicy so if you want it really hot, I think it won't be enough for you. But for me, it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great establishment, large portion of meat, great sauces, reasonably priced, and free chicken broth if you dine in

5 stars! Our go to order is one fried and one original (each served with choice of steamed or garlic rice and 2 sauces so you get 4 different sauces total) + two boba teas (Thai Tea and Brown Sugar are our favorites but we're working through the list lol) - all super delicious! Order on their website or call ahead for easy pick up. Fast and friendly service always at this local family business. Free street parking right out front or go east on 4th and turn south around the corner.
So happy Taishi Hainan Chicken has their own location now! I've been ordering from them for over a year. I ordered online and was thrilled when I realized it was a new pickup location. The staff was so nice and I was welcomed when I picked up my order. I got the fried chicken, dumplings and Thai iced tea. It's always excellent! Congratulations 🎉
Original Hainan Chicken: 3.75/5 I was so excited to eat here but I was simultaneously pleasantly surprised and disappointed. The portions were great, the chicken was moist, and the sauces were good. The 2 things that shocked me were the temperature of my food and the quality of the soup. My food was lukewarm at best, it made it taste old, like it’s been sitting out all day. Also the soup was at the perfect temperature to grow some sort of bacteria, warm but not hot enough to fight against microbes. It also tasted shockingly similar to Swansons low-sodium broth. It definitely feels like a possibly excellent dish, but they seemed to have given up along the way. Zabb Chicken: 4/5 Again, great flavor, crispy chicken, a possible banger but the chicken was cold and the rice even colder. The flavor was so good I couldn’t give it less than a 4, but an easy 5/5 with a little TLC. When it was taken home and warmed up, it was a world of difference. Ambiance: The restaurant is really cute and has that sort of late 2010s weeb charm, but it does feel like they gave up. It’s clean but looks old, the lighting is dingy, and there was no music. They had a good stream of to-go orders and I can understand why. Service: Super quick. Maybe not the most personable, but I get it. Parking: Small parking lot but I can’t imagine it being too busy. Be prepared to park elsewhere though.
Solid CHINESE-THAI chicken, reasonably priced, flavorful rice. NO cash and NO Cambodian (despite what Google search says). Very nice service.

Love the food here. But have to be wary of which person is working. For the most part the order is always correct, but depending on who's working, some ingredients can be missing. I got a stomach ache from the last time - but that won't stop me from coming back. consider it a fluke. The fried chicken and wontons are really good. Love their drinks too.

I got the original Hainan chicken. Food was served in a to-go container, which kinda takes away from the dine-in experience. Portions were pretty big though. The sweet sesame sauce and ginger soy sauce wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t amazing. I think I prefer the traditional Hainan chicken sauces more. The meat was also a little dry.

Online ordering instructions not followed. Requested no onions and came home to the dish topped with onions.
Ubereats - ordered family XL - came promptly. They deboned everything but chicken is dry and overcooked. Sorry, these not the Hainanese chicken standard from Singapore or Malaysia. Tofu is crispy like bacon. Quantity is plentiful but quality Needs to improve .

I am formally reporting unprofessional and discriminatory behavior from a staff member at this location. The employee was a tall male with light-colored eyes who was preparing drinks at the time. He intentionally withheld the order and refused to identify himself when I calmly asked for his name. His behavior was deliberate, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. As a delivery driver, I was simply doing my job and was treated with clear disrespect. The way I was handled created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. This is not how professionals should treat drivers or customers. I strongly believe management should review the security footage and take corrective action. Anyone who respects themselves and expects basic professionalism should think twice before coming to this location.
Food is good but service super bad never double check customer order they always mess up with orders
