Avaliações de Thai District Long Beach
This turned out to be one of our favorite restaurants in long beach. The staff was very nice. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The Tom Yum cocktail was delicious, as well as the crispy pork belly.
Last time I had Gang Hang Lay this flavourful and tender was in Chiang Mai. This is the most authentic northern Thai food I’ve had in LA. Will definitely come back!
Great Thai restaurant! Amazing food and nice environment. I'm definitely a Thai connoisseur, as it's probably my favorite food. Pad Thai was great, their ground chicken salad was good, and mango sticky rice! Their prices were very reasonable too! I'm not in Long Beach often, but I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!
I came to meet a friend of mine who recommended Thai District for dinner I called a few hours early to make a reservation- but more importantly to let them know it was my friends birthday and I wanted to celebrate him. The staff was really friendly, understanding and helpful in taking details We ordered the drunken noodles and the red curry each and they were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Both of us loved the food we ordered They have options for vegetarians and so my friend ordered tofu as his protein and I ordered chicken for my curry and beef for the noodles. The curry was CHEFS KISS. Perfect balance of explosive flavor and a balanced spice. It was the first time in a long time to have curry and they did not disappoint What really sent them over the top is when they brought out the delicious dessert for my friends birthday, they made sure it was vegan. Accommodating to my friends dietary restrictions without any need to mention it. The staff was overall super friendly, attentive while my friend and I chatted and overall great. Totally contributed to the great evening! Thank you all for a great service and hospitality
I ordered many times from this place and the food was always very solid. This is the first time I went there for dessert. I had never had the dessert before. It was totally worth it. The chef has been apparently trained in France. The Churros were fresh and crispy and the souffle is to die for.
Wonderful Northern-style Thai restaurant! The owner was welcoming and kind. The food flavors were bold and deeply satisfying. Every dish I tried had its own personality. What really impressed me was learning that they import key ingredients directly from Thailand. If you are looking for something beyond the usual Pad Thai and Green Curry, this place is a must-visit.
Thai District is top notch! Not only is it a beautiful place, the food is incredible. I got the pot stickers and drunken noodles, my go to comfort food whenever I order Thai cuisine. These dishes at Thai District were top notch! Beautifully cooked and very flavorful. All of the staff are very kind and the service was great! Definitely give Thai District a try!
Crispy Tofu and Thai District Wings were cooked perfectly - amazing crispy exterior with juicy interior. Spices and flavors were spot on throughout. Shrimp Pad Thai was solid, shrimp cooked with great attention to detail. Flavors were rich and full but maybe slightly on the sweet side. Shows they really know how to handle their proteins here.
We made reservations at Open Table, which is a good idea on a Sat night as they are busy. We sat is the charming upstairs area. We started with fresh rolls which were awesome - really good peanut sauce! The salad was fresh with really good tomatoes and the sesame dressing was delicious. The panang curry, green curry, and drunken noodles were all very tasty. I’m so glad we found this place. We will be back soon.
As a Flight Attendant, I’m about to start bidding Long Beach layovers just to come eat here. Thai is my favorite cuisine but I branched out from my normal dishes this time upon the waiter’s suggestion. I didn’t catch his name but he was so personable with each customer, asking what flavors they liked and making recommendations. I tried the Geang Hung - Lay, a braised pork kind of stew with roasted garlic, ginger, turmeric, and peanuts, and WOW. The Thai tea was also one of the best I’ve ever had, out of the countless Thai teas I’ve had in my life! And with a real flower. :) Don’t skip this spot.
I have been there twice. The interior decoration was cool which makes me feel in special restaurant. Place was so good but I have another thought on food. I tried soft crab curry and pod thai. These are my review on food Chicken Pod thai(spicy lv2): good. typical delicious taste of pod thai. Not spicy at all. If you want to try typically delicious pod thai I recomend Soft crab curry(spicy lv2): disappointed. Coconut flavor was too strong also it was too salty (i could not taste another ingredients)
This was my first time eating Thai food, and I felt like it was a mix between Vietnamese meeting Indian food, and it was pretty good! Seeing how I am allergic to coconut there are some things that I did not particularly care for but the Thai soda and the medley vegetables and curry was to die for!
Most of the dishes here are from northern Thailand and include dishes besides the normal pad Thai and red curries. I would recommend the Nam Kao Tod salad, duck curry and drunken pork ragu. Everyone at the table raved about those dishes. The service was great, but I would definitely make a reservation to avoid the long wait for walk ins (A better table management would cut down on the wait times significantly.). Didn’t get the chance to see the patio, but eating inside with the nice decor is the way to do it. Finish off dinner with sticky rice and mango. Your waistline won’t thank me, but your tastebuds will.
I've had some really great meals here over the last few years. However, I called in a pick up order for a simple shrimp pad Thai tonight. When I came to pick it up and they were ringing me up, I was shocked to see the total being $25! Add on the pressure to then tip 20% on top of a pickup order... Since when is pad Thai - Even with the upcharge for shrimp - More than $20? Noodles are cheap and I doubt the shrimp is Wild caught. I counted 5 unimpressive shrimps. I understand inflation is a thing, but that is such a steep price for a very basic Thai dish. Sticker shock for sure. As much as I loved this neighborhood spot one block from me, I'm going to have to consider getting takeout else with these price hikes.
Christmas take out order was wrong, but didn’t know until we began eating. Should have gotten a spicy shrimp curry but instead got a duck curry with lots of bones. We requested no peanuts due to allergies and that part of the order appears to have been correct. Spice level in all dishes was not consistent even though we requested all dishes be spicy. Maybe the food accuracy will be better the second time we dine here. This was our first time trying this place.
I have dined inside the restaurant twice and both experiences were generally pleasant. The vegan tofu soup is my favorite dish here. Because of my dine in experience I order delivery one evening for dinner. I ordered a tofu dish with peanut sauce and was so disappoint when it arrived. The container was overly packed with dry raw spinach and a dollop of tofu and cold stiff peanut sauce. This dish looked nothing like a hot, cooked entrée dish. I mean it was not listed under salads. I could have purchased a bag of spinach instead. I might as well have cooked it on the stove myself.
