Tucked in a nondescript strip mall in k-town this place has amazing pastas. The squab pasta was absolutely phenomenal - well balanced, creative, and perfectly cooked. Don’t forget the focaccia. The honeycomb ice cream is delicious and there’s a lot of it. Definitely enough for 3-4 people. Attentive service.

So I’ve been wanting to go to this place for quite a while now heard a lot of great things about the place very hidden gym right next to a liquor store, but that only adds to the mystery. The chef super kind food was amazing top-tier ambience, amazing servers attention to detail very on top of it. Everybody, all in one of my best experiences I’ve had and some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, never been a fan of liver, but their duck liver is special. then to top it off not a huge dessert person. But their ice cream homemade made daily was amazing. I got the coconut caramel Jesus chefs kiss

The food, service and ambiance were all equally amazing. We ordered: Focaccia and pate, Corn Triangoli, Plin, the Chicken, the mashed potatoes and bone marrow and Pistachio crunch Ice cream to finish. Truly decedent and amazing, from start to finish!

Food is awesome, really enjoyed the duck liver with bread! Highly recommend the chicken and pistachio ice cream as well. Worth the money! Ambience is fabulous and environment is so nice. Waiters are friendly and prompt, would recommend it without a doubt.

So much to say about Antico Nuovo, it really lives up to its reputation as one of the best, if not the best, Italian restaurants in the Los Angeles. Every dish was phenomenal, from the focaccia, to the caesar salad (the best caesar salad ever perhaps?) and from the pastas to the mains. The half chicken was simply out of this world, the juice of which soaks into the focaccia it’s served on. It’s a must order. Each pasta tasted unique and wonderful as well. The homemade ice cream is also a must order, my crazy family ordered every single flavor… they were all heavenly. The wait staff were very nice and explained every dish to us. Overall we had a 10/10 experience here and I can’t wait to go back!

Loved the food here! Didnt expect the food to be this incredible but we were surprised by how tasty everything was. Their bread and butter to start was top notch and every dishes were was delicious. We especially loved the butter and their honey ice cream. Our waitress suggested we ordered a little bit too much so we were a little too full beyond we can handled. Atmosphere was great! Really loved their soft lighting, making everything look warm and beautiful. Their restroom was also spacious and clean. Valet available outside.

At Antico Nuovo, you can tell the level of care from the little things. Even the broccoli—a simple side dish—was charred to perfection. What really stood out was the professionalism of the chef. Before service, he personally tasted the sauces to ensure everything was right. Every pasta dish was assembled straight from the sizzling hot silver pan, plated with precision and care.

I absolutely enjoyed the service. The staff members are nice and genuine (not fake). I love real people. The food is authentic food. The pasta is next level. Please try all the desserts. They’re worth each bite. I loved my evening with my loved ones. It’s hard to find a real authentic and cozy Italian places in the area. I’ll definitely come back soon. I appreciate how I was treated by all staff members including valet parking.

Beautiful space in an unassuming strip mall. Based on the neighborhood you are in for a surprise inside. The staff is knowledgeable and suggests great pairings with the food. The pastas are amazing, as is the focaccia. Don't miss the bone marrow mash, it was a decadent treat. Finish off the night with one of their gelatos... Some of the best I have had. I highly suggest the honeycomb one.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Everything was amazing that we ordered, but of note was the bread (to die for) and the lamb. The pasta was very well made and tasty but I wish the portions were bigger given the price. Also, I especially loved the wine - our server brought us a bottle after discussing what kinda of wines we typically like and whatever she selected was perfect. Definitely will be coming back for special occasions.

Valet available. Thought it was peculiar that it's right next to a Korean soup place. There is $50 corkage fee. Service was tentative - good amount of spread of stuff. Portion could be larger, you should get your own plates. I personally liked every dish I ordered. Perfect ambiance for a date night or with your friends! Overall they did a good job. You HAVE TO GET THE BREAD AND THE PISTACHIO ICE CREAM.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles. Don’t judge it from the outside, once you step in, it feels like being in Puglia. Beautiful interiors, open grill, and authentic, delicious food from start to finish. Everything was spot on. Hats off to the chef!

Don’t be put off by the location or exterior of this fabulous restaurant. This is an impressive operation. We came with a party of four, which is probably the ideal group size to sample a variety of dishes. The waiter recommended two dishes per person, which ended up being the perfect amount of food for a hungry quartet. But highly recommended that you allow the server to guide your selections in terms of size and recommended plates. The flavors and preparations were excellent. Everything really popped and there was not a single miss. It would be hard to comment on the highlights only because everything was so outstanding. Finally, a few notes on the wine list. This is an impressive collection with a great variety of price points and interesting bottles. We tried three bottles, all recommended by the sommelier, and they paired very well throughout the progression of the meal. Would recommend trusting the sommelier unless you work in the wine industry and understand Italian wine well. Will definitely return should opportunity allow.

Been to Antico Nuovo a few times now and finally getting around to this review. The food, service and friendliness is truly top of the line in Los Angeles. The warm hospitality from Chris specifically deserves a shout out. He went above and beyond to recommend dishes & wine pairings that were all excellent, removing the guess work from ordering entirely, which made the evening so much more enjoyable and relaxing. It’s so refreshing to feel like your dining experience is in the hands of inviting, knowledgeable and attentive staff who truly want you to relax and enjoy. This is a great spot to bring family or friends visiting, or a date if you want to impress! Thank you again, Chris & compliments to the chefs!

Celebrating mom’s birthday here. We did not drink alcohol beverages much so we focused on food mainly. My most favorite dish was crab pasta with squash blossoms. It was refreshing and tasty. Roasted chicken and black cod was okay. I had a mixed feeling on focaccia and duck liver. The focaccia was very good but duck liver was mediocre for me. We got three items for dessert. Cannoli, pistachio ice cream, and pomegranate ice cream. Pistachio ice cream was legit. One of the best ice cream I have had so far. Crunchy pistachio and salty caramel paired very well with sweet creamy ice cream. Service was top notch. Overall, service was excellent but food was not as good as the service. Dessert was superb and scrumptious.

I really enjoyed my experience overall, the vibe is great and the staff are friendly. The food was good, especially the pasta, though some dishes were just okay. Nothing was bad, but a few items didn’t quite match the price point. This place has the potential to be excellent, so it’s still a nice spot to try, with a lot going for it.

Considered to be of the best Italian spots in LA — and hands down the best focaccia in town. The menu is refined, creative, and deeply focused. Big energy in the room, lively without being chaotic. Every dish shows skill and intention. That said — they do go heavy on the finishing salt. In a few cases (beef tartare with balsamic, ricotta with pistachio pesto), it crosses the line and overwhelms everything else. A shame, because otherwise this place is absolutely worth the detour.

I recently went here with my husband for a late night dinner. I am going to keep this review short and sweet. the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and lively. Great for a first date or for a large group. The wine list is nice, with something for everyone it seems. The food reads lovely on the menu which can make it hard to choose what to order. some would say the focaccia is a must but be wary that the price for the focaccia with the add on toppings makes it pretty pricy for bread. We ordered the focaccia with the anchovy add on and it was more than 30 bucks. Its good but is it worth 30....not sure. The pastas on the other hand, were by far the best things on the menu. but again, the price is VERY expensive. 1) the portion size is just enough for 2 people. Its not like its a giant bowl of pasta you can share with a 4 top even. We got the cannelloni which was tomato and spinach and buffalo. Delicious but it was only 2 pieces and it cost 40 bucks. Then we got the goat pasta which was delicious but again, expensive and not necessarily a giant portion. We then proceeded to only get one entree - sweetbreads with maitake and a marsala jus. I was excited to get the sweetbreads because you hardly ever see that on a menu..and cooked well for that matter.... here I would say it did NOT meet expectations. I think it was the cooking method (grilled) that made it have a a slightly chalky, overcooked texture. The mushrooms were not properly cleaned and have some hay pieces in it and the marsala jus tasted burnt and like it had a ton of balsamic in it. Overall it was disappointing to have that after the delicious pastas. We had desserts which were fine and then we finished the night. Overall we spent almost 400 bucks for just two people who didn't go overboard on ordering, came in with a normal appetite. I would come here again and overall I would recommend it. I would just be prepared to pay a lot of money. But I guess food these days are on the pricier side. I don't knock it if the value is there. For me, its still up for debate.

Had high hopes, we’ve been told that we had a less-than-average evening, but I just try to be honest. We haven’t quite got used to the LA-vibe of a stellar restaurant nestled in the festering armpit of a strip-mall car park, but the laundromat-cum-vapestore next door really plucked that note well. On the edges of K-town, this is apparently a gem of a restaurant. We found it…not bad, but not great. They were very kind to move us from the kitchen facing bar table - slash: Dante’s 2nd circle of hell (it was wayyyy too hot for any other social pursuit than Bikram Yoga - to a table for two. The general vibe was fine, but the table decorations in the middle of the room seemed to be growing into the patrons as they dined. Wasn’t sure what the goal there was. It was certainly dramatic. Would have given it a 4/5 for vibe but (on a Thursday night) it was empty by 9.45. What’s that about? Maybe it’s the European in me but if a restaurant is putting chairs on tables before 22h30 then you’ve gotta be worried about the clientele (or, perhaps, an imminent ICE raid). We had the kingfish crudo, the crab tagliatelle and the tagliata di manzo. It got better throughout. The crudo was fresh, but way way way too much lemon juice. It cured well before it got back to our table - so early in fact I think it released an EP in 1979 called Boys Don’t Cry. So sharp it was fighting the French in 1812*. I had to have a honey diet for three days afterwards (and despite that my brain health is still questionable). The crab pasta was fine. Nicely cooked (perhaps a touch over) crab, slightly loose sauce, but tasty. Literally (and I thought I knew how to use that word, but the preceding sentence proves me wrong) uncommentable. The tagliata was fantastic. Four slight, whispery, suggestive slices of heaven. Nestled into the green and pleasant backdrop of a subtly pesto sauce. Elgar couldn’t have written it better. I’m glad the crescendo occurred but I do feel a better composer could have brought the whole thing together with a little more panache. The wine was the biggest letdown. We ordered a 2019 Chiara Boschis Barolo - this really shouldn’t have been on the menu and DEFINITELY shouldn’t have been allowed out of the crib. Someone needs to reset the baby monitor because this one really got away from them. I’m really not a wine snob (I drink Whispering Angel and brag to my friends about it) but this arrived at our table driving a Little Tykes Cosy Coupe (yes, I had to look that up). 3/5 feels right for our experience, leans towards a 4, but we’re playing a /5 game here. Hope you enjoy! *obscure reference to the Sharpe novels written by Bernard Cromwell starring Sean Bean - a hero, a villain, a rapscallion, and 75% of my inspiration for adulthood

Got ripped off by their new years menu. They didn’t say what was included on OpenTable, when we arrived it was mainly just the regular menu items but coursed out with a flat fee for 2. The food was good but we paid over $400 with tax, mandatory 20% tip and 2 glasses of wine. When checking their regular menu pricing if we had just ordered the same items normally it should have cost us less than $300. The only “special” item on the menu were the scallops which were abysmally small, the size of the nail on my little finger, completely chewy and uninspiring. They even made us add $10 to order it! The portions on all of the items were as normal and on the small side, the only reason we left full was because they give you a large loaf of bread and the dessert is a lot of ice cream. Overall the food and ambiance was great but the predatory pricing was just unacceptable.
