Excellent place, excellent service, excellent people, excellent food Amazing. Norma excellent services thank you so much!
A must go to whenever I am close to LAX!
Authentic German Swiss food
Best place
That pretzel...
Great food,I'd return.
This is authentic German food and beer.
Came here with my husband and we are absolutely hooked! Between the two of us so far we have had the Bavarian Pretzel, Filet Mignon, Veal Wiener Schnitzel, Pork and Veal Swiss Bratwurst (was able to get 1 of each in 1 order), the Zurcher Gschnatzlets, and Rosti, all 5 STARS! The service was quick, professional, and super efficient. The atmosphere is very relaxing, they have a neat roofed patio area so you can get fresh air without the trouble of the wind. There is also a huge fake tree in the patio area which creates a scenic view and naturalistic ambiance. The price is definitely worth what you're paying for, quality and quantity.
Great spot for beer and brats. The wood fire oven makes for great pizza as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It can get busy so reservations are recommended for evenings.
The best German food I've had in a long time. German Beer on tap also. Plus the waitstaff were awesome. To hard to believe it's right by LAX.
I got the pizza here for lunch, and it was very good. The pizza was very meaty, and not too greasy. The restaurant seems like a cool place to hang out at.
We always come here when in the area. Great beer, love the jager schnitzel, and the service is always friendly and efficient.
Great service and food. Enjoyed the carrot soup and espresso. Parked behind the building.
Great food and excellent beer. Cozy and laid-back.
The food and service were too notched. As Arnold would say "I'll be back".
If you want to try Swiss food this is the place to have the best.
Great service and the food was fast and delicious
Was here for lunch, and the food was good.
Awesome little place located not too far from LAX. Great food, had the Bavarian pretzel and it was absolutely massive and quite good as well. Many specialty German beers on tap and a very enjoyable atmosphere as well. Some options are a biiittt pricy, but hey, what do you expect in LA? Definitely would recommend grabbing a couple beers if you're in the area.
I only go here for the thin crispy pizza and bubbly soda. I tried other stuff on the menu but it's not my taste
Every dish seems to cost just a bit too much, so we don't come here quite as much as we'd like.
Have been there twice. The foods are great, I enjoyed it!
Best Hefeweizen, reminds me of when I was in Germany.
Good Swiss Sauerbratten, great place to take Kids
Really nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a large pretzel and I got a pesto chicken sandwich with salad. They gave a good amount of chicken which was tasty, but a little dry. I really enjoyed the pesto and the swiss ranch they had for the salad. Good portion for the $10 lunch special. I'll definitely come back here and maybe try one of the wursts.
Came here this past weekend with a friend who had been here before. I personally had never eaten any kind of Swiss/German/Northern European food before so I had no idea what to expect. The ambiance was really cute and quaint. The servers and the bartender were extra friendly, and I imagine that this is what it would be like to eat dinner at a pub in Switzerland. My friend and I don't eat pork, so we couldn't order the famous schnitzel, but we did order a bunch of items to share instead. Bavarian Pretzel with Mustard: The pretzel itself is HUGE and really good. Soft, and clearly hot and fresh. Wasn't a huge fan of the sweet mustard though. I'm much more of a savory/spicy mustard gal. Walliser: Chicken breast, topped with tomato slices and melted raclette cheese, served with homemade spätzli and red cabbage. This was really good! I LOVED the spatzli - who doesn't like tiny potato pasta? Much lighter than gnocchi and lightly seasoned. The chicken wasn't particularly special. It tasted grilled with some seasonings, high quality cheese, and tomato. It was good though! The red cabbage was sweet, but it worked with the rest of the dish. Overall a good balance of sweet and savory over here. Swiss Mac Cheese "G'hackets Mit Hrnli": Elbow macaroni topped with swiss cheese and Italian ground beef gravy sauce. Served with a side of applesauce. This was really good and a pretty large portion (which made sense considering the price). We were mystified by the applesauce. It was good when we ate it with the pasta although we weren't entirely sure that's how it was supposed to be eaten? No idea. This dish was good but it was pasta with ground beef and cheese, so we were a little underwhelmed on this one. Homemade Applestrudel with vanilla ice cream Firstly, I have to say that the ice cream on its own is AMAZING. It's clearly made in house with high quality vanilla because it was mindblowingly fresh and creamy without being overly sweet. The applestrudel was different than the kind I'm used to. The filling was similar but it had a thin crust/piece of filo dough on it rather than a full-on crust. The filling had something tart - maybe lemon in it? I don't know - I got tired of it a bit quickly though. Overall, good but not amazing. A few key items but overall slightly pricey for what the food actually is in my opinion. Maybe because there aren't many modern European restaurants in LA? No idea. Definitely worth a taste if you're looking for something unique though!
Good beer , not enough gravy, service was good but waitress was angry at a 15% tip.
Not up to th Phoenix Club but pretty good for lunch
Food good but too oily
I have lived in Germany, and visited Switzerland. Here at this restaurant, their renditions of German menu items were extremely disappointing. As a party of 4 for dinner, two said the food was "just ok", one did not like it but said it was edible, and one sent it back. The schnitzel dish consisted of smaller pieces that were chunky and dry. The potato pancakes were actually like 3/4 thick, 6-inch long hash browns. The spaeztle was fried in grease or butter, and the saft-gulasch was incredible salty and tasted like meat that came from a can. In the future when we have that German food craving, we will make the drive to Kaiserhof in San Diego.
Service was not good, raclette was not even close to what is done in Europe. I was very disappointed, especially considering the high price
Is now closed. It was good though.
Wow, what a great way to run a business! Make it INVISIBLE from the street. I drove up and down the impossible to navigate Sepulveda BLVD which is a poorly planned series of no left no U turn intersections. After 45 mins of driving back and forth, asking strangers where this mediocre place was, NO DICE. At best it would be over priced bland, heavy German food, so forget it. Not worth the waste in time and gas.
Worst decision you can make. The food was a disgrace. I had meatloaf (Leberkäse) with fried eggs and vegetables . As a starter a small green salad, which consisted entirely of lettuce leaves. The vegetables were not fresh, simple thawed and the eggs were still partially raw. Too expensive for what you ultimately get.
