We came here on the recommendation of a friend who went with us. There were 3 of us and we ordered 3 different menus. We ordered dumplings, spicy dumpling soup, and anchovy kalguksu and shared them together. The food didn't take long. The dumpling soup was good because it had a deep flavor, and the anchovy kalguksu soup was just right. The kalguksu noodles were really soft. The kimchi served as a side dish was delicious with a lot of garlic and went really well with the food. All the menu items were delicious, but the dumplings were the most delicious. The dumpling skin was thin, filled with meat, and the meat was super juicy. We were satisfied. had a meal
I had the knife cut chicken noodle. I was expecting chicken chunks in the soup but it turns out it was served with 4 pieces of dumplings and some ground meat on top. It tasted good. Hope to try the cold noodles next time. —- I had the spicy Kalguksu - this is spicy. It was too spicy for me, but most Koreans will find it just right. It had good flavor. I still enjoyed the dumpling and the noodles of the soup. The No. 9 - shrimp ang pork dumplings is veeeeery good!!! Must order. —- The parking is across the street in a parking structure.
Sooooo bomb 💣 🤤 My all time favorite place to go for hearty noodle soup. Ajumma can cook LOL. I’ve never had their grill foods before so no comment on that. Had their pork dumplings for the first today, they were okay. Not bad but probably won’t have specific craving for them honestly. Anyway what are you waiting for… COME NOW!
This restaurant in K Town is a great spot for a warm, comforting meal, especially in the morning. I had the Kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) with chicken broth and pork wontons, and it was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. It's a perfect place to start your day with a hearty and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
The dumplings are so juicy and packed with pork. The bulgogi with veggies is just so flavorful. I’ve gotten the spicy rice cakes in the past which are my personal favorite; it’s the right amount of heat and they give you so much. It’s hard to order something different every time I come here. This is just a great spot.
Everything at MDK was great. From the service to the food. The dumplings were amazing and better than the ones I tried in Seoul. The wrapper was thin, just enough to hold the delicious and juicy pork filling. We got the cold green noodles. Perfect balance of spicy and noodles were nice and chewy. Definitely will be back.
I love this place SO much, one of my favorite casual eats in LA. I always order the knife cut noodles, spicy chewy noodles, and the shrimp pork dumplings. The combo is amazing!!!! The broth in the knife cut noodles is so comforting and my fav hangover cure 😉 Staff is very kind. Highly recommend.
Best noodle and dumpling place in ktown!! I have to say the price is not very affordable, but the dishes are very delicious. A plate of tiny dumplings, 10 pieces each, costs $20, but at least they are the best Korean dumplings I have ever had. I also like the soy bean cold noodles a lot.
The kalguksu was so warm and rich in flavor. I highly recommend! The noodles were not too soft, and the portion was quite big, so I had leftovers. The food came out relatively quickly.
MDK Noodles did not disappoint. The pork dumplings were juicy and flavorful, with a perfectly tender wrapper and a well-seasoned filling that tasted fresh and comforting. Each bite was satisfying and…

Amazing Korean comfort food here, specifically knife-cut noodles and rice cake soups. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable and the staff is always courteous.

We ended up here because the original intended restaurant had a very long wait, and I'm glad it did because we found a new favorite dinner spot. This was our first time in koreatown and we walked…
Stopped here for a quick bite before show at The Wiltern. What a great little place! The food is excellent, the service is quick, what's not to like?
Spacious dining area with delicious Kong Guksu. I was craving cold dishes, and this spot was perfect. We shared the Mul Naengmyeon, Kong Guksu, and pork dumplings family style. The portions were …
Each dish is a big portion to share with someone. Reasonable price. Quick and friendly service. Very tasty
Delicious! Highly recommend the kalguksu. Service isn't all that great though which is really unfortunate. The food makes up for it though! Can't wait to add this to my list of restaurants in ktown…
Delicious, fast, efficient. Definitely recommend.\n\nWell lit, spacious restaurant with big portioned Korean food. Staff was attentive and fast. prices were reasonable considering portion sides.
Can be tricky to find parking, we usually find a spot on the street. I think they also offer parking at the back of the restaurant with a fee, but not 100% sure.\n\nThe food is always consistentl…
Very good food and service in a casual setting in Korea Town. The knife cut noodles with chicken are excellent and the bulgolgi is good, if not of the same caliber of some bbq restaurants. The servers are warm, friendly and efficient. Really like this place as it’s all around great.
Frankly, I was felling kinda sick and slightly cold before I got in. You know that thin line between being okay and being sick, that’s what I’m talking about. Then I ordered Hot Noodle Soup with Anchovy Broth, and made sure that it doesn’t contain any pork products in the broth. Prior to my food they brought pickled sweet cabbage and kimchi. The soup was perfectly balanced, there was nothing too much in it and knife cut noodles were perfectly cooked. However, the soup wasn’t spicy at all but when I added the kimchi in it thats when the whole scenario had changed drastically. When I was walked out after my meal, believe me I was feeling really good and there were no signs of any symptoms of cold.
Fantastic place to try out Korean food at a budget price. I had the food delivered and it was very delicious and more importantly also packed very well for delivery. The noodles was really good, but bibinbap , although good, tasted slightly better at another spot I tried. Great portion size too and sufficient for two people if not super hungry. Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area.
I had their signature kalguksoo, and wow it was absolutely delicious and unbelievably generous in portion. Honestly, if you’re not starving, there’s no way you can finish it! And their kimchi… unforgettable. The kind of flavor that makes your mouth water the second it hits your tongue. I even went back to try the bibim guksu, but that one left me a bit disappointed. Parking isn’t free it’s $2 but honestly, for that kalguksoo and kimchi, I didn’t even mind.
I’ve been coming here for over five years, and although I’ve tried many different menu items, not all of them were consistently satisfying. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but for two people, the best combination I’ve found is the shrimp dumplings and the knife-cut noodles. These two are reliably good and definitely worth ordering.
I had high hopes for this location since I’ve been to the Anaheim spot multiple times and always had a great experience. While the kalguksu itself was pretty good, the customer service and wait time were disappointing. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, it still took about 20 to 25 minutes for our food to come out. Overall, I’d give it a 3.5. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend checking out the Anaheim location instead. 👍🏻
On a Saturday afternoon the place is full and vibrant. I recommend coming here at times like this. We had no wait! The #9 dumplings are hearty, amazing and well made! I had a hand cut noodle and broth bowl. Delicious noodles! I really like the location. I like Wilshire and this place actually allows you to live the Wilshire experience. You can get in some decent people watching at some tables. I ordered the #5 which is a dumpling soup. The broth is more in the bland side. I came because I was not feeling great so the soup didn’t disagree with my stomach. The dumplings are plentiful and very good. They add a little bit of ground meat. Unfortunately they add a ton of onions. Silly me. I ordered quickly and didn’t notice this dish has no noodles and I was craving noodles. I assumed everything had noodles because they’re called MDK Noodles but I was so wrong. The noodles here are superb so I definitely missed out. The soup is about $18. They serve two kinds of kimchi as banchan. One typical and the other without the red chili sauce and I loved this variant because even though I love gochujang sauce I’m not always in the mood. They aren’t good with water refills. Meter parking and I believe they also validate in some lot.
This place is bright and clean with lots of seating. We waited about 5 minutes before we got seated in a party of 5. I def recommend ordering the food family style bc the portions are shareable and huge. The majority of us couldn’t finish our bowl of noodles. The pan fried dumplings were pretty good. The kimchi is a little bit on the spicy side. So if you get any of the spicy dishes, it’s about the same level of spicy.
This is a must-visit restaurant when I visit LA. As long as the food tastes above average, I don't have to worry about the taste. On my recent visit, I was surprised to see that the prices had risen significantly. In particular, the price of the dumplings was $22 for 10 pieces. As you can see in the picture, I don't think the dumplings I received were of the quality for this price. I was satisfied with the spicy taste and generous portions of the meat noodles and bibim naengmyeon. We visited in the morning, and the servers seemed tired as they were busy. And there is an inexpensive parking lot nearby for Myeongdong Gyoza. Instead, after you finish eating, you must receive a private parking certificate from the server.
Kalguksu at MDK Noodles was exactly what I needed on a cold day. Their kimchi is super unique in that it's very garlicky. It personally wasn't my favorite, but I can see how it's an acquired taste an…

there were plenty of clean empty tables but I had to wait to be seated. the table just other customers used. and there was a hair? on the food ;(
We met here for dinner while in LA. My family is Korean, and we were not disappointed by the authentic, hand-cut noodle soups we ordered. We also tried the dumplings, which were excellent. The kim…
Street parking is usually full and the structure you can park at for the restaurant now has a mandatory $2 minimum fee even with validation. I took 3 minutes to run in and pick up my order and the …
Visited for the first time in 10 years. The Kimchi is actually easier to eat now with less garlic flavor than before, which I liked. The Shrimp Dumplings are still delicious as always. However, the Kalguksu (Noodle Soup) was... hard to describe. To be honest, I can't even say it was 'average.' It was quite disappointing compared to the past. On the bright side, they have a parking lot now, so parking is much easier.
