Good place Good vibe Open late Must visit Decent food.
Went right at opening during the weekday and parking was easy to get, the plaza seemed not set up but maybe because it was only the morning. But going in the food was amazing - I had the roasted duck curry which was surprisingly so good!! I want to come back for that and try the pad Thai next time. Their Thai iced tea comes in a large glass too and it was pretty good. The food is quality so 10/10 would come for the food! Everytime I drive by at night on the weekends it’s packed.
Came with a friend for the first time today and it was pouring outside. We started with the koo chai since it was something we’d never tried before. Those little rice cakes were so pillowy and the chives inside gave them a great fresh taste. She got the general soup and I got the roast duck soup; we could not have been happier. Everything was so flavorful and delicious I couldn’t stop eating even though I was STUFFED. The portions for the soups were massive so definitely recommend coming with friends to try as much as you can
Shout-out to the team at Sanamluang Cafe. I’ve been coming here since I was 16 (I am in my late twenties now)and the consistency is honestly impressive. In a neighborhood where a lot of Thai spots hit their peak, fizzle out, and eventually get replaced, Sanamluang just… stays standing. Same quality, same warmth, same reliability. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the feeling. The team here feels like family, and you’re treated like one too. The service is always genuine, always kind, always with a smile. It’s one of those places that feels grounding. Familiar in the best way. Grateful this spot is still here, and grateful to keep returning.
My first time here. We came for a late night meal and the restaurant was packed but no wait. Their specialties seem to be noodles, but a lot of other people ordered fried rice dishes, which also looked delicious. I got the roasted duck noodles and there was more duck meat than noodles in the bowl! The duck itself tasted a bit overcooked, however the broth was amazing. The broth was so flavorful, refreshing, and infused with a great duck flavor. We also ordered the fried shrimp cakes which were the size of a thick burger patty. They were crispy, had a great shrimp texture, and so delicious. I'll be back to try more!
My spouse and I stopped by for lunch after not visiting for over 20 years. It was a pleasant experience, and the place wasn’t crowded at all. We opted to sit outside, where there was plenty of seating available. The decor is simple, but in return, you’re treated to exceptional service and incredible food. Our waitress, Nong, was friendly, polite, and respectful, and we liked her right away. My spouse ordered vegetable spring rolls, which were crispy and delicious, and the vegan Tom Kha Kai with tofu and rice on the side—he loved it. I had the amazing duck over rice, which was absolutely delicious. I apologize, but by the time I remembered to take pictures, we were almost finished eating, so no photos of the duck. But trust me, it’s worth trying—it’s that good!
It might be a good thing to ask if the good is spicy. I ordered the coconut soup and it was great but the noodles that my friend ordered were really spicy and he couldn't eat them. Also the portions of the food are really big, so you will be fine if you order just one plate. It is open until really late.
I recently dined at this Thai restaurant and was blown away by the authentic flavors they offer. The Pad Kee Mao was exceptionally spicy and delicious, just the way I like it! The customer service was top-notch, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Although I wasn't a fan of the slightly sweet Thai Chicken Fried Rice, the Pad Kee Mao Tofu was a delightful alternative. Ground noodles tasted delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine with a kick!
The food here has always been consistently good. The service can be a touch slow, but I'd chalk that up to the food being made fresh and right. On this visit, the salted fish fried rice was ironically too salty. It seemed more like the whole dish was salted, not just the fish, but still tasty, and a squeeze of lime neutralized the excessive salt flavor and truly brought it back to life. The Crying Tiger (strips of beef served with a slightly spicy vinegar dip and no sides) was exactly what it was advertised to be. No complaints at all. It's definitely satisfying and delicious, but no particular wow factor. Nice and simple. I loved the thai iced coffee. 👌 There are some interesting decorations, but not to elaborate or vivid. Very much just a lunch or dinner spot or grabbing food with a friend. Nice and casual. Not on my list of places for a celebration, but if their cuisine is all you are after, then definitely seem to deliver.
AHHHHH I FELL IN LOVE IN THIS PLACE! First of all the server who served us was REALLY NICE!! She was thoughtful and always come to check by and made sure that we have everything we need. I ordered the Spicy beef ramen and WOW-- I didn't expect that it will be a large bowl (lol). I had a hard time finishing it but it was realllly delicious! My family also enjoyed the food that they have ordered! The Panang was reallyyyy good! I can't describe their foods in words but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! We would be very likely to drop by again if we have the time.
We used to come here 30 years ago. Emperor's Noodle same yummy taste! Brings back so many memories. Thank you for keeping it that way!!!

The pad thai was serviceable but not memorable, the soup my partner got really pleased him.
Classic Thai Restaurant, and the food is always delicious! It was a reasonable price, with a nice portion and fresh ingredients. I asked for Mild, and they nicely accommodated my request. I can never get old with the roast duck in red curry, and we started with the duck salad, which has lots of flavorful nuts and herbs.
I’ve been here quite a few times now. This restaurant was Michelin recommended. It’s a great place for late night eats. Most recently I had pad see ew and tofu with Chinese broccoli and both were exceptional! This restaurant has really really good Pad Thai. It's very tangy and sweet. The fried shrimp cakes are really good too. They come with a sweet and sour sauce. However the Crying Tiger isn't that great. It comes with a tangy sauce. It’s not a terribly cheap restaurant but the quality is there! Service was fast and friendly. This restaurant has a parking lot in front of it! That's a big plus in this part of Hollywood.
I've known this place since 1997, last time ate here around 2000. The taste still the same except the Cha Po, deep fried roasted pork was really hard, I can't even chew it and also the BBQ pork bit dark and didn't look fresh at all. The Best Fried shrimp cakes, love it & recommended. Pork Leg over rice also really good but bit too much fatty but still really good.
The service was good, the food here was great. The shrimp patty was amazing, and all the other food were well spiced and delicious. They also gave huge portions. She did say the portions were big, but for some reason we didn’t believe her and ordered multiple dishes anyway lol. It was all good though. The only thing bad about here is the flies. Hope they can fix this issue or something. That’s the only thing slowing down their greatness.
You can never go wrong with Sanamluang. Their food is delicous especially the simple Hainan chicken. I always order extra soup because it's so flavorful.

This Thai restaurant has several awards namely Michelin guide in 2009, LA Times, LA weekly, etc which I must admit raised the bar for me. We ordered a bunch of dishes that were recommended namely the naked shrimp, duck soup, duck rice, beef curry, noodles, and some other dishes not worth emerging. I must say I was disappointed. It was nothing like the real dishes in Bangkok. It was really far from it. Maybe a two star would have been more appropriate. I didn't even took photos of the other dishes.

From the moment we sat down, the experience felt off. We were given wooden chopsticks that were splintering and falling apart, leaving bits of wood on my clothes and making them uncomfortable and impractical to use. When I asked for plastic chopsticks, the reaction was cold and dismissive, as if I had made an unreasonable request. As soon as we finished eating, the bill was brought immediately and we were clearly being rushed to leave. There was no courtesy or warmth just pressure to clear the table. About the food, the noodles were fine, and the egg rolls were good. I won’t be returning. I don’t pay for a meal to feel stressed or unwelcome. This is not reflective of Thai hospitality or culture. Whatever was going on with the staff, the service was simply not acceptable.
