Yuk Dae Jang is the best when it's cold/rainy. The 3 if us came around 5:30pm on a Saturday, still plenty of seating (crowd picks up starting 7pm just fyi). Service is always good. We usually get the original yukgaejang w/ fresh pasta. My bf tried the rampyan for the first time & it was so yummy (will be getting that from now on). My mom was looking for milk cuz of the spiciness. So we decided to try the korean yogurt which was sooo good 😄. Gamsamida!
On a chilly rainy day, all you want is something warm and comforting — and this classic Korean spot has an insanely fresh seafood noodle soup that hits the spot! 🤯 🦐 Seafood Hand-Cut Noodle Soup The broth is rich, savory, and gently spicy. The noodles are freshly made hand-cut noodles — silky, chewy, and great at soaking up the broth. They’re packed with seafood flavor, and the soup warms you from the inside out. It’s not overly spicy, but it makes your whole body feel cozy. 🥰 🐂 Beef Tripe & Beef Intestine Hot Pot This hot pot is loaded with ingredients: tofu, glass noodles, beef brisket, beef tripe, beef intestine, enoki mushrooms, and veggies. The tripe has a great chew, and the broth really brings out its natural aroma. The intestine is tender and almost creamy — perfect with rice. 😋 🥟 Dumpling + Blood Sausage Combo We got the chive-pork and kimchi-pork dumplings. They’re handmade, generously stuffed, and the wrappers are super chewy. The pork tastes fresh with a strong savory flavor, plus a little kick from the kimchi. 🤩 🅿️ Parking It’s not in the core K-Town area, so parking in the plaza is super easy and convenient. 🙌
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Visited Yukdaejang K-Town on a Saturday night with 3 friends. We were lucky to walk in and get a table right away. Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Soup) – $47.99 Packed with spam, sausage, tofu, rice cakes, mushrooms, and noodles. Rich, flavorful, and comforting—perfect for a chilly evening. Steamed Bossam (Small) – $21.99 Tender, smoky, and juicy. Paired with lettuce and sauce, it’s not greasy and very satisfying. Portions are generous, flavors authentic, and the menu has plenty of other options like braised short ribs, cold noodles, and dumplings. Great spot for Korean comfort food in LA! Tip: It can get busy on weekends, so reservations are recommended.
This place is amazing. We ordered their signature braised beef ribs — the meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone. The veggies soaked up all the flavor from the broth — pumpkin, enoki mushrooms, glass noodles, and rice cakes were all super tasty and full of that rich soup flavor. So comforting! 📎 The beef soup itself was really fresh and flavorful, with plenty of ingredients. 📎 I also have to give a shoutout to the kimchi — it’s seasoned exactly the way I like it!
Juk Dae Jang is hands down one of the best spots in Koreatown for authentic Korean comfort food. I came here on a friend's recommendation and was blown away. The beef ribs are incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — they practically melt in your mouth. And the cod fish soup? Absolutely amazing. The broth is rich and soothing, with just the right amount of spice, and the fish is fresh and flaky. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up from the inside out. The service was quick and friendly, and the side dishes (banchan) were fresh and plentiful. You can tell this place takes pride in doing things the traditional way.
Oh man this place is fantastic. Service is great and fast, food is fantastic. Banchan was stellar all around. Kimchi was crunchy and tasty, fish cakes were soft and chewy, pickled veggies were so crunchy and spicy. The Yukgaejung with ramyun was so tasty, with a slight kick, tons of perfectly cooked ramen, tender brisket, and loads of veggies. The flavor was so smooth but bold that coats your mouth. The highlight is the premium bossam in house special soy sauce. The onions soak up all the sauce and become soft and sweet. The pork belly is cut at just the right thickness, not fatty or chewy at all, and the meat is so soft while soaking up all that delicious sauce. I love the accompaniments like the salty squid, garlic, rice, and more. Prices are great for the portion sizes and quality. I will definitely be back
We’ve been here several times and every visit is just as amazing as the last… The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like family every time. The food is amazing and always delicious, the pricing is very affordable, and the overall experience keeps us coming. We happily drive 30-40 minutes just to enjoy this hidden gem. Highly recommended.
The braised short ribs at Yuk Dae Jang are incredibly tender, and the meat is packed with flavor. The overall taste is slightly sweet, and the small side dishes provided in the restaurant balance the richness, making the meal not greasy at all. Every winter, I love coming here with my friends. Their portions are large and very affordable. Besides the short ribs, the pot is filled with a variety of ingredients such as flat glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms, potatoes, pumpkin, and more. If you take your time eating, the potatoes and pumpkin soak up all the flavors and are absolutely delicious. Their steamed dumplings with spicy octopus filling and pork filling are both excellent. I highly recommend their steamed pork belly pot. The pork belly is lightly smoked, giving it a rich, aromatic flavor. There’s no overwhelming seasoning—just a perfect balance of napa cabbage, garlic slices, and chili peppers, making every bite a delightful experience.

I went for dinner last Friday and had a wonderful experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it! What we ordered✨ Premium Tripe & Brisket Hot Pot - Hot pot comes in generous portions with assorted mushrooms, glass noddles, tofu and fresh tripe and brisket. You could pick one that fits your liking! Premium Bossam in House Special Soy Sauce - Very impressed with its flavor! The meat is lightly seasoned and has a subtle and clean saltness and sweetness. This dish is very appetizing, and I would definitely come back for this! Other recommendations: - Premium Beef Rib with Flat Glass Noodle - Premium Bossam - Original YukDaeJang with Fresh Pasta/Ramen (a lot of ppl come for their signature noodles!) Free parking in the plaza.
The braised spicy beef rib is my favorite—tender, flavorful, and packed with lots of meat. The dish is loaded with delicious ingredients like potato, rice cakes, and flat glass noodles, making every bite so satisfying. Their soft tofu soup is also a must-try, perfectly seasoned and comforting. Highly recommend this spot for hearty, authentic Korean food!
This place is on weekly rotation in my house. My boyfriend and I order the regular yuk dae jang soup with glass noodles (noodles cook in the soup and they add nice texture). It comes with sides of rice, Kimchi, and something else that looks like tofu. Great portions. The regular is a little spicy - you probably won’t like it if you don’t like spicy. The actual spicy soup is SUUUPER spicy; you’ve been warned. The pork dumplings are deliciousss. I think they’re boiled which is usually not my style, but these are tasty. Don’t forget the dipping sauce! Takeout experience is pretty smooth. There’s plenty of parking in the shopping center. Food is usually ready in 20 mins or so and it stays hot until you get home. We also recycle the containers. Pro tip: put glass noodles in the soup to make it heartier. Eat half the soup for one portion and save the other for later. Very filling.
The Food: A nice little Korean food stop known for its specialized soup menu. The Menu: I ordered the Yangji Sulungtang (Brisket Ox Bone Soup). The Taste: It tasted good—the broth was savory and the brisket was tender. The "Signature" Style: Just be aware, they use a little too much green onions (large cuts of scallions) which is their signature style. If you love green onions, it's great; if not, it might feel like an overload, but it was still overall good food. Logistics: Parking: A big plus is that parking is free in the plaza lot. Availability: However, the lot is a little bit limited (shared with other shops), so you might have to wait for a spot during busy hours. Verdict: A solid spot for a warm, comforting bowl of soup. Just expect a mountain of green onions in your bowl!
On a rainy day, Yukdaejang was the best. I ordered the seafood yukgaejang and dumpling sundae set, and I was so full that I took four dumplings home with me. They kindly filled me up with water, and I dipped rice in the seafood yukgaejang and drank the whole broth.
